Bill Clinton Zings Trump Administration At Alec Baldwin Roast

Former President Bill Clinton on Sunday jabbed at the Trump administration during a Spike TV celebration of actor Alec Baldwin that was taped to be broadcast in July.

The former president and other celebrities, including Tracy Morgan and Robert De Niro, were primarily on hand at Apollo Theater in New York City to toast and roast Baldwin, a Donald Trump critic whose impersonation of the president helped pump the ratings of “Saturday Night Live” in the past year. But Clinton ribbed the Republicans in charge as well, USA Today reports.

“I wouldn’t know an alternative fact if it hit me in the face,” Clinton said, using a phrase popular with the Trump administration.

He later described Baldwin’s political inclinations from elementary school through college.

“He ended up going to George Washington University for two years, ran for student-body president and came back home to New York, where he followed the then-classic path, from politics to the soap operas,” Clinton said. “And now we know it works the other way around. You need to think about running again — you’ll probably win the next time.”

The “One Night Only: Alec Baldwin” special will air July 9 on Spike.

Willie Nelson Lights Up Toby Keith’s New Marijuana Ditty ‘Wacky Tobaccy’

Toby Keith knows you can’t do a country song about cannabis without having Willie Nelson involved in some capacity.

On Thursday, the country superstar released “Wacky Tobaccy,” a ditty about the joys of smoking marijuana ― the real stuff the lyrics emphasize, not the synthetic kind.

Although Keith has collaborated with Nelson before, the Red-Headed Stranger only appears on camera this time.

“Willie Nelson’s in the video. He didn’t sing on it, but he’s in the video,” Keith told News OK, adding that he favors legalizing pot because “if you drink liquor you ought to be able to smoke weed.”

No word on whether Keith mentioned this to Donald Trump when they visited Saudi Arabia together back in May.

The complete clip can be seen below, including a few scenes of Nelson blowing smoke ― a lot of smoke ― into Keith’s face.

Not everyone is high on the song.

Lorie Liebig, a columnist for Wide Open Country, thinks the song is Keith’s “lame attempt to stay relevant.

What could have been a fun and fresh collaboration with Willie Nelson just seems like a cheap way of keeping people interested,” she wrote. “Watching him stroll out of the bathroom with a blunt in hand feels like they are using him for a laugh instead of his talents.”

Diddy Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop Shading Kendall And Kylie Jenner

Sean “Diddy” Combs is too pure for this world and we must protect him at all costs.

The rapper and business mogul premiered his new documentary “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop,” which traces the legacy of his Bad Boy Records label, in Los Angeles Thursday night. The event boasted an impressive celebrity guest list, including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Madonna, and, yes, Kendall Jenner.

Diddy shared a slew of photos from the night, but one in particular caught the internet’s attention, a short video of him posing with the 21-year-old supermodel.

“Last night @kyliejenner #cantstopwontstop #aboutlastnight,” he wrote in the caption, accidentally tagging Jenner’s sister, Kylie Jenner, instead of her.

He quickly corrected his mistake and  apologized for the mixup in the comments after the internet was done thoroughly high-fiving and roasting him.

“I’m human people. I make mistakes Sorry,” he wrote.

A post shared by Diddy (@diddy) on

Last month, Diddy brutally cropped the Jenner sisters out of a photo at the Met Gala, sparking the glorious hashtag #DiddyCrop.

He can’t be stopped now, cause he’s bad boy for life.

‘Marshall’ Brings Thurgood Marshall’s Early Civil Rights Crusade To The Big Screen

Before Thurgood Marshall became the Supreme Court’s first African-American justice and won the landmark case that ended segregation in public schools, he was a lawyer for the NAACP. In 1941, more than a decade before the civil rights movement peaked, Marshall defended a black chauffeur whose white socialite employer accused him of sexual assault.

Black Panther” star Chadwick Boseman, who played Jackie Robinson in “42” and James Brown in “Get On Up,” will portray Marshall in the biopic titled, well, “Marshall.” He’s joined by Sterling K. Brown and Kate Hudson as the chauffeur and socialite, respectively, while Josh Gad plays a Jewish attorney who aided in the defense.

Directed by Reginald Hudlin (“House Party,” “Boomerang”), “Marshall” opens Oct. 13. Watch the first trailer above.

Trevor Noah Describes Extreme Surrender Whenever He Is Stopped By Police

Monday night, Trevor Noah dug into last week’s not-guilty verdict on the Minnesota police officer who fatally shot Philando Castile as he sat in his car. The “Daily Show” host slammed the NRA in a segment for failing to defend Castile, a legal gun owner who happened to be black.

Noah had more to say Tuesday night, after disturbing dashcam footage from the incident became public. Between segments, the host offered his own experience with American police, explaining how he exercises extreme caution.

“Whenever I get pulled over, the first thing I do is throw my arms out the window. And it looks so stupid when you see me,” he said, demonstrating the move. “Just because I would rather have the cop go, ‘You’re weird.’”

The host also explained how he came to realize his experience with police in the U.S. was different from that of his white friends. When he learned Castile had been stopped by police 49 times in 13 years, Noah’s initial reaction was to compare that statistic with his own ― less than a dozen stops in six years. That number still seemed shockingly high to his friends.

“I’ve been stopped by police maybe, I would say going on at least 8 to 10 times, which always blows white people’s minds, which I didn’t know was a thing,” said Noah, who grew up in South Africa.

“I’ve been stopped in rental cars, I’ve been stopped in my car, I’ve been stopped in a car with tinted windows, a car with rims, a car with no rims. I’ve been stopped in a Tesla!” he continued, joking, “I don’t know what silent crime you think I’m on my way to commit.”

Catch all of Noah’s commentary above.

Buckbeak Slyly Pooped Onscreen In ‘Harry Potter’ And You Didn’t Even Know

We knew “Harry Potter” was the s**t. We just didn’t know that was literal.

Even if you’re the biggest “Harry Potter” fan, you probably don’t know all the secrets the movies have to offer. Recently, HuffPost stepped into a big one.

In “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” Buckbeak the Hippogriff secretly poops onscreen:

Did you see it? Look again … at Buckbeak’s butt.

See it now?

HOLY. POOP.

How did this happen? Was Buckbeak just nervous? Does Hagrid have a magic pooper scooper? IS THIS CALLED A NIM-BUTTS 2000?

We have so many questions.

That’s why we got in touch with Framestore’s Michael Eames, who worked on the computerized characters in the film. The company first came into the franchise, and the world of visual effects, during production of “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.” Framestore then went on to bring some of the series’ most memorable creatures to life, including Fawkes the Phoenix, the Basilisk and, of course, Buckbeak.

Eames confirmed that, yes, Buckbeak takes a poo on screen.

(100 percent. That’s a confirmed poo.)

He also explained how it happened.

Eames told us that plopping in little Easter eggs like a character relieving himself is nothing new in animation. Back in the day, animators were hand-drawing most or all of the frames, so it was common practice to sneak things in for laughs.

“I can’t really go into too much detail with that, but there were some pretty outrageous things that slipped past editorial in those days, but I supposed as an animator you were kind of always looking for an opportunity to have a bit of a laugh on the side, and I guess that’s where that came from,” said Eames.

Here’s that Buckbeak moment one more time for s**ts and giggles (mostly the former):

Eames continued, “If you can be serious on that moment, I think we were trying very much to get a naturalistic feel to the way that Buckbeak behaved as a character, his whole being animalistic. I think he was described at the time by [director] Alfonso Cuarón as a sort of adolescent teenager, so we were trying to kind of place this character we very much wanted to get across in a very sort of real environment. It felt like something that he would do naturally, if there was an opportunity, would be a good idea.”

Eames says he believes his team told the director about the scene and were given the bathroom pass. In his recollection, the animator said Cuarón “thought it was funny and perfectly fitting.”

In addition to that moment, Eames told us that bringing Buckbeak to life was a huge challenge for Framestore, calling the hippogriff a “milestone” character in visual effects.

He explained that up to that point, CG characters “always felt like they needed to be glossed up.”

“There were lots of very [dimly] lit moments for Buckbeak, when he’s in the pumpkin patch for example, and it’s all quite gray and miserable. It wasn’t what you would expect in terms of how you would treat a fully CG, fully feathered, all singing, all dancing character like that, so there was that earthy quality to it.”

Though there were also animatronic versions of Buckbeak, Eames said at a relatively late stage the company was asked to do much more CG work on the film, and that the robotic one may only appear in the movie in two shots.

Buckbeak was built in a collaborative process from the bones up. Thanks to all that work, we finally got an animated character worth giving a crap about — one big, animated crap.

‘Game Of Thrones’ Cast Spreads Lies Singing ‘I Will Survive’

How do you think Gloria Gaynor feels knowing her song is being used to spread filthy lies?

That’s what’s going down thanks to YouTube channel Sung by Movies.

In a new video, “Game of Thrones” footage is cut together so the characters belt out Gaynor’s hit “I Will Survive.”

The video is fun but, alas, it’s all hogwash. With only two seasons left and an impending White Walker invasion, it’s possible that none of them make it out alive. In fact, some of the characters in the video are already dead.

(R.I.P., Robb. The North remembers.)

But who needs the Iron Throne, anyway? Cersei, Dany and Jon can get all the “glory-a” they need right here.

Celebrities React To Bill Cosby Mistrial With Total Indignation

Bill Cosby stands accused by 60 women of sexual misconduct in alleged incidents that span decades.

On Saturday morning, he might have been convicted for one: the case of Andrea Constand, a former Temple University employee who accuses the embattled comedian of molesting her after giving her drugs at his home in 2004.

The charges against Cosby, three felony counts, carried a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. But after 12 jurors became deadlocked in their deliberations, a Pennsylvania judge declared the case a mistrial. Prosecutors reportedly intend to seek retrial of the case, but the result is a blow to Cosby’s many accusers and women like them who too often face uphill battles in their fight for justice after reporting sex crimes.

Soon after, Lena Dunham, Judd Apatow, Ru Paul and others spoke out on social media, seemingly united in their criticisms of the outcome.

Celebrity attorney Lisa Bloom also offered her encouragement for sexual assault survivors:

John Avildsen, Oscar-Winning Director Of ‘Rocky,’ Dead At 81

(Reuters) – John Avildsen, the Oscar-winning director who made Hollywood’s quintessential underdog story in 1976 boxing saga “Rocky” with a then-unknown Sylvester Stallone, and crafted another inspiring tale in “The Karate Kid,” died on Friday at age 81, his family said.

Avildsen had been suffering pancreatic cancer at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, his son, Anthony, said by phone.

Avildsen won the Academy Award for best director for “Rocky” while the film was named best picture and other successes included the “The Karate Kid” series in the 1980s. He directed seven actors to Oscar nominations.

In the years before “Rocky,” Avildsen won praise for two dark character studies: “Joe” (1970) with Peter Boyle and Susan Sarandon and “Save the Tiger” (1973) starring Jack Lemmon, who won the Academy Award for best actor for the role.

He also had his share of career setbacks, directing some clunkers and being fired as director of 1970s classics “Saturday Night Fever” and “Serpico” because of disputes with producers.

“Rocky” proved to be as much of an underdog success story as the fictional Philadelphia boxer Rocky Balboa portrayed by Stallone, who wrote the screenplay. Stallone was an obscure actor at the time but stubbornly refused to allow studios to cast anyone but himself in the role. Producers Robert Chartoff and Irwin Winkler consented to let him take the role under Avildsen’s guidance.

“Rocky” was made for a modest $ 1 million and generated $ 225 million in ticket sales to became a cultural phenomenon, with a series of unforgettable characters and scenes and a blend of romance with pugilistic action.

The film centers on charismatic champion Apollo Creed, played by Carl Weathers, plucking Balboa, known as “The Italian Stallion,” from obscurity for a dream shot at the world heavyweight boxing title.

Rocky, who earns money as a collector for a loan shark, falls in love with the mousy Adrian (Talia Shire), the sister of his miserable friend Paulie (Burt Young), and gets help from a gruff trainer named Mickey (Burgess Meredith) who long felt Rocky had wasted his considerable potential.

Avildsen took the “Rocky” job only because funding fell through for another movie he was set to direct.

“My friend sent me this (”Rocky”) script and got me to read it,” Avildsen told the Birmingham, Alabama, News in 2000. “And on the third page, this guy is talking to his turtles, and I was hooked. It was a great character study.”

There were low expectations. “It had to be done in 28 days for less than a million bucks, and nobody bothered you because there was so little money involved,” Avildsen said. “There was no anticipation of it being anything but on the bottom bill of a drive-in in East Podunk.”

“Rocky” was nominated for 10 Oscars and won three. In accepting the Oscar for best director in March 1977, Avildsen told the audience, “I guess what ‘Rocky’ did was give a lot of people hope and there was never a better feeling than doing that.”

Avildsen’s professional stumbles included tangling with stars John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd on the comedy “Neighbors” (1981), then made the crass male-stripper movie “A Night in Heaven” (1983).

His next film, “The Karate Kid” in 1984, triumphed with an underdog theme similar to “Rocky” as a bullied teenager played by Ralph Macchio overcame the odds with the help of a wise martial arts master, played by Pat Morita. He also directed “Karate Kid” sequels in 1986 and 1989.

Avildsen returned to the “Rocky” franchise to direct the critically panned “Rocky V” (1990) about a protégé who turns on Rocky. Avildsen intended for the Rocky character to die in the film but studio bosses disagreed. “They told me James Bond doesn’t die. Superman doesn’t die. Rocky doesn’t die,” Avildsen told USA Today in 2014. “So Rocky didn’t die. But the movie died.”

Avildsen also directed Burt Reynolds in the likable caper “W.W. and the Dixie Dancekings” (1975), George C. Scott and Marlon Brando in the thriller “The Formula” (1980), Morgan Freeman in school drama “Lean on Me” (1989) and the apartheid tale “The Power of One” (1992).

Avildsen was born on Dec. 21, 1935, in Oak Park, Illinois. After serving in the military, he made industrial films for companies and worked as an assistant to directors, including Otto Preminger before directing his first film in 1969, “Turn On to Love.”

So, Like, Did Barack Obama Just Reveal The Sex Of Beyoncé’s Twins?

Whilst the universe idly awaits the news that Beyoncé has birthed two fresh, new beings to share in her holy pop empire, we find ourselves with far too much time to think. Analyze. Scrutinize.

People on Twitter were doing a lot of that Thursday night after former President Barack Obama appeared in a video to congratulate new Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee Jay Z, whose music he rather enjoys.

“Nobody who met us when we were younger men would have expected us to be where we are today,” Obama said, comparing himself to the husband of Beyoncé.

“Jay and I are also fools for our daughters,” he later added, “although he’s going to have me beat once those two twins show up. And, let’s face it, we both have wives who are significantly more popular than we are.”

Cute, yes, but let’s rewind to the “daughters” bit. While Obama’s prose is annoyingly inexplicit, there appear to be two ways in which to interpret it: He and Jay Z each love their respective children ― who, right now, happen to only include daughters ― and soon Jay Z’s love will expand to encompass three, versus Obama’s two. Or, he and Jay Z each love their respective daughters, but soon Jay Z will have more daughters, because Beyoncé’s twins are girls.

Some money appears to be on the latter.

According to rumor, Beyoncé is either very close to, currently in labor, or has already given birth, either in the hospital or from the quiet comfort of home.

In other words, the waiting continues.

Dascha Polanco Says Hollywood Wants ‘Fake Latinas’

Dascha Polanco of the prison drama “Orange Is the New Black” says she’s been confined off-screen by Hollywood’s attitude toward Latina actresses.

In an interview with Vivala posted this week, the Dominican-American said she has felt expectations to conceal her Afro-Latina features and was even told she looked “too Latina” for a Latina role.

“We have to be ‘fake Latinas,’” Polanco said. “And here’s the thing about ‘fake Latinas’ – when you look at Latinas who are succeeding in Hollywood, they’re super thin and you really can’t tell if she’s Latina or not.”

Polanco, 34, told the outlet that genetics testing determined that some of her roots originate from the Iberian Peninsula and 31 percent from the African nation of Mali ― and they are apparent, she said.

She said she used to wonder if having lighter eyes and a thinner body would land her more roles. But she doesn’t appear to be hurting for work now.

Polanco has played inmate Dayanara Diaz on “OITNB” since 2013 (Season 5 is now available on Netflix) and wrapped shooting on what Deadline billed as her first starring role in a film in the dark comedy “iCreep.”

“Every day, I am learning how to love myself more,” Polanco told Vivala.

’47 Meters Down’ Cast Faced Real Danger While Shooting The Shark Flick

Before “This Is Us” was even a thing, Mandy Moore joined fellow actor Claire Holt for a challenging project that would prove to be both fun and frightening.

In “47 Meters Down,” Moore and Holt play sisters who venture out on a shark diving trip during their tropical getaway to test their adventurous spirits. Thing is, the protective cage they’re in is pretty rusty, which is why it breaks off the boat and falls, well, 47 meters down into the open ocean. Did we mention their oxygen tanks are running low? Or that there are great white sharks feeding off the chum the crew tossed overboard? Well, get ready for a nauseating, anxiety-inducing ride.

“Both Mandy and I had no diving experience before we did this film,” Holt told HuffPost during a Build Series interview. “We had a crash course for about a day and a half and then we got really thrown in the deep end. Pun intended,” she joked, adding, “There were some hairy situations we got into on a few occasions, but by the end of it, I think we just felt really proud of our accomplishment that we survived two months underwater.”

Those “hairy situations” could have been horror flicks themselves as Holt said she endured stretched lungs due to a malfunctioning oxygen tank and ear pain following an equalizing issue.

“We really didn’t understand the toll it would take on our bodies … we were just so exhausted and we would crawl out of the tank at lunchtime and just pass out,” Holt said of the experience shooting. “I just didn’t know how I was going to make it through, and that was the scariest part for me because I knew I was looking down the barrel of another seven weeks or so of that. But we were really well taken care of ― we had wonderful safety divers and amazing professional divers, stunt divers who did some of the really tricky stuff for us, like when the cage drops. But the whole thing was pretty dang scary.”

Holt, who many know from her role as Rebekah Mikaelson on “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals,” did add that it wasn’t all bad, though. She said being underwater was peaceful at times, and “a really zen experience.”

Although the exterior shots of the movie were filmed in the Dominican Republic, most of the shoot took place in a 20-foot-deep tank in London, where the ladies would spend hours underwater, filming while wearing scuba gear. Camera operators and various crew members would also be in the water with Moore and Holt, as well as safety divers who would make sure they were OK.

“We had to learn how to act in a different way to be able to emote. And it’s all really in our eyes,” Holt shared. “Crying underwater with that mask on is a very strange experience. It’s quite technical, too. The camera crew was amazing and helped us a lot.”

Although pretending that you could be devoured by a great white shark at any moment was a hard task to accomplish ― especially when said shark was just a prop rock on set ― Holt said she knew she wanted to be in the thriller immediately after reading the script.

“I read it and it was so compelling and I couldn’t stop turning the pages,” she said. “I knew how difficult it would be from my small amount of tank experience from the mermaid show I did many years ago [”H2O: Just Add Water”]. But both Mandy and I felt the same way: we were searching for a challenge. And it’s not often you get material that is so heavily dependent on just a few characters and so physically demanding ― it was exciting and frightening, but I’m so glad I agreed.”

ABC Suspends Production Of ‘Bachelor In Paradise’ Over ‘Allegations Of Misconduct’

After only a week of filming, ABC has decided to suspend production of “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 4 in Sayulita, Mexico, as the company investigates “allegations of misconduct.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. released a statement on the incident, saying:

We have become aware of allegations of misconduct on the set of “Bachelor in Paradise” in Mexico. We have suspended production and we are conducting a thorough investigation of these allegations. Once the investigation is complete, we will take appropriate responsive action.

The show, which brings together contestants from previous seasons of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” to provide them with another shot at finding love, was slated for an Aug. 8 premiere. Now, it seems the series might not air at all.

TMZ reports that the situation allegedly involved contestants DeMario Jackson and Corinne Olympios, who were both well-known personalities from their respective appearances in the “Bachelor” franchise. The two were reportedly involved in some inappropriate, sexual activities in a swimming pool, according to sources who spoke with Jackson and TMZ. Still, there are varying accounts of what actually happened, which is why Warner Bros. launched a full investigation into the situation and sent the rest of the cast back to the U.S.

Reality Steve (Steve Carbone), a blogger known for his “Bachelor” spoilers, posted a photo of the cast at the Puerto Vallarta airport on Sunday, writing on Twitter that they were apparently being flown to Houston. Jackson and Olympios are not pictured in the group photo.

The new season was set to feature Bachelor Nation favorites, including Raven Gates, Amanda Stanton, Alexis Waters, Taylor Nolan, Robby Hayes, Ben Zorn, Jasmine Goode, Vinny Ventiera and Alex Woytkiw.

HuffPost has reached out to ABC, as well as Jackson and Olympios, for an update on the suspension and situation.

Adam West, ‘Batman’ Star, Dead At 88

Longtime actor Adam West died Friday night, June 9, at the age of 88. He famously played the title role in the 1960s television series “Batman.”

A rep confirmed to Variety that the actor died after being treated briefly for leukemia.

“Our dad always saw himself as The Bright Knight, and aspired to make a positive impact on his fans’ lives. He was and always will be our hero,” said his family in a statement.

The West family also tweeted from his account:

West remained a working actor until his death, notably with recurring voice work for animated projects such as “Family Guy” and “Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders.”

On “Family Guy,” the actor voiced a character with his own name. “Adam West” seemed to be immortal no matter what medical catastrophe came his way. A memorable moment from the show involved a doctor telling West he had lymphoma ― “Probably from rolling around in that toxic waste.” The doctor goes on to ask, “What in God’s name were you trying to prove?”

West’s response, “I was trying to gain super powers.”

The actor also made cameos as himself on shows like “30 Rock” and “The Big Bang Theory.”

Over the past 50 years, he never fully retired his role as Batman, voicing the character as late as 2017 in the upcoming video “Batman vs. Two-Face.” Since the original show, West also appeared in various non-lead roles in the “Batman” series.

West’s “Batman” is now remembered as being comically over-the-top, as he was in relatively low-budget action sequences and often uttered cringe-inducing dialogue. Perhaps the most famous line from the series was when West yelled, “Quick! To the Batmobile!”

The actor embraced the humor of his take on the Dark Knight throughout the rest of his life. In 2006, West appeared on the game show “I’ve Got A Secret” and revealed that he even got a “tattoo” of the Batman logo on one of his teeth.

West graduated from Whitman College as a literature major. After being drafted into the United States Army, he got a gig as the announcer for an internal television service for the military called the American Forces Network. It wasn’t until 1959 ― when West moved his then wife and two children to Hollywood, California ― that he took the stage name Adam West, adapted from his given name, William West Anderson.

After moving to Hollywood, West secured small roles in numerous shows and movies, many of which were Westerns. But when he landed the role as Batman about a decade into his career, West became extremely famous.

Once the original run of “Batman” ended in 1968, West had a bit of a lull in his career, with serious work being hard to come by. To support his family, he had to do “things that I wasn’t very comfortable doing,” the actor explained in the 2013 documentary “Starring Adam West.” He had exploit his fame for money with celebrity event appearances and risky ventures, such as a daredevil stunt where he drove a car through a truck.

West’s persistence eventually started earning him more comedic roles, though, as he embraced the love fans had for his zany Batman.

In April 2012, West was finally awarded with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. To begin his acceptance speech, West addressed the crowd as “citizens of Gotham.”

The actor is survived by his wife, Marcelle Tagand Lear, whom he married 1970. West has four children over three marriages ― Hunter Anderson and Jonelle S. Anderson with his second wife, Nga Frisbie Dawson, and Nina West and Perrin West with Lear. West also has two stepchildren from the Lear marriage, Moya and Jill.

The Robin to his original Batman, Burt Ward, is now 71.

Former ‘Top Gear’ Star Involved In Serious Car Crash

TV presenter Richard Hammond has crashed an electric super car in Switzerland while filming for his TV show “The Grand Tour.”

The former “Top Gear” star was airlifted to a hospital, but he did not sustain any major injury and was conscious upon exiting the totaled vehicle, a Rimac Concept One, representatives confirmed Saturday.

The car burst into flames after the 47-year-old got himself out safely. Nobody else was involved in the crash.

“The Grand Tour” Twitter account released a statement:

The statement reads:

Richard Hammond was involved in a serious crash after completing the Hemburg Hill Climb in Switzerland in a Rimac Concept One, an electric super car built in Croatia, during filming for “The Grand Tour” Season 2 on Amazon Prime, but very fortunately suffered no serious injury. Richard was conscious and talking, and climbed out of the car himself before the vehicle burst into flames. He was flown by Air Ambulance to hospital in St. Gallen to be checked over revealing a fracture to his knee. Nobody else was in the car or involved in the accident, and we’d like to thank the paramedics on site for their swift response. The cause of the crash is unknown and is being investigated.

“The Grand Tour” costar and fellow former “Top Gear” host Jeremy Clarkson tweeted Saturday about witnessing the incident:

Hammond previously had a serious crash in 2006 while filming “Top Gear,” which caused brain injuries.

The Amazon Prime show “The Grand Tour” is essentially a continuation of “Top Gear.” In 2015, the BBC fired Clarkson after he committed “an unprovoked physical and verbal attack” on a crew member. After the ousting, the hosts decided to start a new show.

Marketing for this Amazon Prime iteration of the show involved crashed cars across the globe as seen below:

The ‘Black Panther’ Trailer Just Dropped With A Star-Studded Cast

The trailer for “Black Panther” has finally arrived and, by the looks of it, this Marvel world will take us on one helluva ride.

In the nearly two-minute teaser, Chadwick Boseman reprises his role as T’Challa (aka the Black Panther) and returns home as king of Wakanda ― a mysterious, powerful and vividly colorful African world. There, we meet a star-studded cast with Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye and, T’Challa’s nemesis, Erik Killmonger, played by Michael B. Jordan.

The teaser, which dropped during Game 4 of the NBA finals, opens with Klaw (played by Andy Serkis) chained to a chair asking Everett K. Ross (Martin Freeman) what he knows about Wakanda. When Ross says that it’s a third world country with “cool outfits,” Klaw reveals Wakanda’s true secret, claiming that he is the only person to have ever seen the country and make it out alive.

“Explorers have searched for it, called it El Dorado,” Klaw growls. “They looked for it in South America, but it was in Africa the whole time.”

Wakanta, as it appears in the trailer, is a mix of traditional and modern, natural and sleek, and is brimming with waterfalls. Its people are as Ross had suggested — ornate and vibrantly dressed — but they also prove to be as fierce as T’Challa himself.

And, of course, a generous amount of time was used to show the Black Panther’s own super-hero strength and impenetrable armor.

While the trailer is packed with action and fantasy, Boseman’s co-star Sterling K. Brown has said that the film raises “really provocative questions” and is “politically astute” and “socially relevant.”

It’s not just an action film,” Brown told Entertainment Tonight. “It addresses the climate today of Africans and African-Americans ― across the country and across the world ― in a way that people will really be excited about.”

“Black Panther,” directed by Ryan Coogler and based on the comic book series by Ta-Nehisi Coates, premieres in theaters in February 2018.

Taylor Swift Returns To Streaming Services As Katy Perry Drops Album

Check and mate.

As the clock neared midnight on Thursday, pop music fans around the world readied themselves for Katy Perry’s fifth studio album, “Witness.” Little did they know that the singer’s rival, Taylor Swift, would swoop in at the last moment to steal Perry’s thunder by releasing her entire back catalogue on streaming services that same night.

Swift’s music is now available on Spotify, Apple Music and Tidal, reversing her decision to rebuke major streaming services for not properly compensating artists.

“In celebration of ‘1989’ selling over 10 million albums worldwide and the RIAA’s 100 million song certification announcement, Taylor wants to thank her fans by making her entire back catalog available to all streaming services tonight at midnight,” a statement from the official TaylorNation Instagram read.

A post shared by Taylor Nation (@taylornation) on

Swift pulled her entire catalogue from Spotify and Apple Music in 2014, describing the push toward streaming music online as a “grand experiment” contributing to the perception that music should be free.

“I’m not willing to contribute my life’s work to an experiment that I don’t feel fairly compensates the writers, producers, artists and creators of this music,” she told Yahoo about her decision at the time.

The singer later came to an agreement with Apple Music after releasing an open letter encouraging the service to pay artists during its free three-month trial period. An Apple executive quickly responded to Swift’s plea, and her music ― including her new album at the time, “1989” ― was made available for streaming.

Of course, the internet reacted accordingly to the suspicious timing of the singer’s return, reigniting the now years-long feud between Swift and Perry and their fandoms. Snake emojis, and fun, were had by all.

Bill Maher’s Ex-Girlfriend Has Advice For Him On Using A Racial Slur

An ex-girlfriend has a recommendation for Bill Maher whenever the “Real Time” host next ponders using a racial slur: Don’t.

Coco Johnsen, a model who dated Maher in the early 2000s, told TMZ Wednesday that anyone who uses the slur is “very insensitive” and had specific advice for her former beau.

Just use another word next time,” said Johnsen, who is black. “I’m sure that he’s learned his lesson. Maybe a little sensitivity training at the NAACP could do some use.”

A TMZ interviewer attempted to pin down whether Maher used the word around Johnsen, who later sued the comic for palimony, but she didn’t take the bait.

Last week on his show, Maher jokingly referred to himself as a “house n****r” in a talk with Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.). The comedian apologized after intense backlash that resulted in Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) canceling his scheduled appearance on the show.

In 2005, a judge dismissed Johnsen’s $ 9 million suit claiming Maher had promised to marry her and support her lifestyle.

Olivia Newton-John Is ‘Totally Confident’ She’ll Beat Breast Cancer Again

Olivia Newton-John is staying optimistic following her recent cancer diagnosis.

The Australian songstress revealed earlier this month she was battling cancer for the second time, forcing her to postpone her nationwide tour to focus on her health.

Newton-John was first treated for breast cancer in 1992 at the age of 43, undergoing a partial mastectomy, chemotherapy and breast reconstruction. After canceling shows two weeks ago due to back pain, testing revealed that the cancer had returned and metastasized to her sacrum, a bone in the lower back.

“I am really grateful for and touched by the worldwide outpouring of love and concern. Thank you. I am feeling good and enjoying total support from my family and friends, along with a team of wellness and medical practitioners both here in the U.S. and at my Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in Melbourne, Australia,” the singer told People in an exclusive statement. “I’m totally confident that my new journey will have a positive success story to inspire others! Love and light, Olivia.”

The “Grease” actress is currently laying low in her southern California ranch home with husband John Easterling while she undergoes photon radiation therapy, in addition to pursuing natural wellness therapies. After just a week of treatment, Newton-John’s pain level has already “gone from [level] eight to about a two,” according to her husband.

“We both have the same unshakable belief that she’s going to have a wonderful success story,” Easterling told People. “We’re not trying to be positive. We have an absolute knowingness that we can turn this around.”

“She’s not naive and doesn’t get immobilized,” friend and talk-show host Leeza Gibbons added. “She finds light in the darkest corners and just always has.”

If all goes well, Newton-John reportedly plans to return to the stage later this year and resume touring for her album “LIV,” which was partly inspired by her cancer battle, as well as the death of her sister from brain cancer in 2013.

Josh Duggar Has The Audacity To Claim Molestation Reports Caused ‘Emotional Injury’

The Duggar sisters’ breach-of-privacy suit has taken an even stranger turn now that Josh Duggar ― who admitted to molesting some of his sisters as a teen ― is seeking to join those same siblings in legal action over his molestation scandal.

Last month, Jill, Jessa, Jinger and Joy Duggar filed a federal lawsuit seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages against In Touch magazine and Arkansas law enforcement over police documents released to the tabloid through a Freedom of Information Act request in 2015.

On Friday, Josh filed a motion asking to join the case, claiming that he has “suffered severe emotional distress, embarrassment, humiliation and economic harm both to his personal and professional reputations” as result of In Touch’s bombshell report that alleged he molested underage girls.

In their original lawsuit, the four Duggar sisters claim they were “revictimized” by the release of the documents that contained “cosmetic redactions,” which allowed them to be identified as their brother’s victims.

Their lawsuit hinges on the assertion that, according to Arkansas law, information collected involving minors is not subject to disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act. The sisters claim that when they spoke to investigators as minors in 2006, they were told their statements would not be made public. Josh makes the same claims in his motion to intervene and cites the same law.

The City of Springdale, which the sisters are also suing, previously dismissed the allegations in the lawsuit as “without merit” and “false” in a statement to the press. In Touch has yet to respond to the lawsuit, but it’s important to recognize that Josh’s name was, in fact, redacted from the police report ― as required by law. In Touch even noted in the story

“(Note: Josh’s name is redacted from the police report but In Touch has confirmed the passages that refer to him.)”

Similarly, the police report appears to comply with state law by redacting the names of Josh’s victims. In Touch did not identify the victims by name in its reports, and it was Jessa and Jill who identified themselves as two of Josh’s five underage victims when they participated in an interview with Megyn Kelly on “The Kelly File.” With the filing of their lawsuit, Jinger and Joy confirmed they were victims, as well. The identity of the fifth victim remains unknown.

The sisters claim that by not redacting their parents’ names, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, In Touch clearly identified the sisters as victims. However, the Duggar parents’ names did not need to be redacted as they were not minors.

In his motion to join the suit, Josh also states that while his sisters have been “forced to confront traumatic experiences” and had the “most private and painful aspects of their lived [sic] exposed,” they received “sympathy worldwide.”

But, Josh goes on to say that there’s just no sympathy for him ― who’s youngest victim was just 5 years old:

Not so with Movant, however, for which the confidential, highly sensitive, intensely personal and humiliating nature of the information contained in the released reports has subjected him to exposure only in an intensely negative light for actions he engaged in as an indiscrete youth and that will continue to haunt him and cause him financial and emotional injury for the rest of his life.

The fall out from In Touch’s May 2015 report was swift. Josh admitted to molesting underage girls ― who were later confirmed to be his sisters. He subsequently resigned from his job as executive director of Tony Perkins’ conservative and anti-gay group, Family Research Council Action, and TLC canceled “19 Kids and Counting.” (Josh was back in the headlines over a cheating scandal involving an Ashley Madison account and claims of sex addiction later on.)

The idea that an admitted child molester could complain about lack of sympathy is inherently ridiculous and a closer look at Josh’s motion reveals his claims to be completely contradictory.

In one breath, without actually mentioning the assaults, he refers to his abuse of his sisters as “traumatic experiences” and the “most private and painful aspects” of their lives. He then turns around and attempts to brush off repeated acts of sexual abuse as “actions he engaged in as an indiscrete youth.” In fact, the words “molestation” and “sexual assault” do not appear in Josh’s motion at all. There is not even a hint of personal responsibility for his actions in the entire motion.

Meanwhile, his sisters Jessa and Jill previously said they had “forgiven” Josh, but the language in their lawsuit says otherwise. In the suit, the sisters state they were “sexually assaulted on several occasions by [their] brother, Josh Duggar.” The words “sexual abuse” and “sexual assault” and “molestation” are free flowing throughout the suit. It’s a far cry from how they previously characterized the incidents as “mild, inappropriate touching” when they were interviewed by Kelly.

Via the police report: [Jim Bob Duggar] said that [Josh] had told him that [he] had been touching [redacted] on the breast and vaginal areas while [they] were sleeping.” Later in the report [Jim Bob] said there was another incident in March 2003. [Jim Bob] said that [Josh] was reading to [redacted] and [she] was sitting on [his] lap, [Josh] had touched [redacted’s] breasts and vaginal area…sometime during this timeframe [Josh] had been standing in the laundry room and [Josh] had put [his] hand under [redacted’s] dress.”

Josh is not represented by the same attorneys as his four sisters and it is unclear how they feel about him seeking to join the suit. HuffPost has reached out to lawyers for the Duggar sisters and will update this post accordingly.

Mischa Barton Successfully Prevents Ex From Distributing ‘Revenge Porn’

Mischa Barton’s court battle with an ex-partner has come to an end.

Barton announced in March that she would be taking legal action against a man she dated in 2016 who allegedly offered nude images taken without the actress’ permission in exchange for payment.

In a tweet posted Monday, Barton’s attorney Lisa Bloom revealed that “The O.C.” actress was successful in preventing the dissemination of the images. Per a settlement, the former partner will also be required to stay 100 yards away from Barton at all times.

In a statement, Bloom said that the Los Angeles Superior Court will retain jurisdiction over the case, “in case we need further enforcement.”

”[Mischa] did this not just for herself, but for all women and girls,” Bloom said in a statement. “Mischa wants everyone to know that we have the right to control our own bodies and decide whether or not to have explicit photos out there for the world to see. If a woman wants to do that, fine. If she doesn’t, fine. The choice is hers and hers alone.”

In court papers, Barton alleged that her ex had filmed her while they were having sex and had taken nude photographs of her.

Barton had called the discovery of the “revenge porn” — a term that refers to intimate images distributed without permission, typically by an ex-partner — “my absolute worst fear” during an appearance on “Dr. Phil” earlier this year.

“I came forward to fight this not only for myself, but for all the women out there,” she said in a March press conference alongside Bloom. “I want to protect them from the pain and humiliation that I have had to go through.”

Leah Remini Will Return To ‘Kevin Can Wait’ As Erinn Hayes Exits

Things just got weird for the women in Kevin James’ sitcom life. Erinn Hayes is out after one season of playing James’ wife on the successful show “Kevin Can Wait,” Variety reported over the weekend.

And Leah Remini, James’ wife from his previous comedy hit, “The King of Queens,” is back in.

Not as his spouse, mind you, but as his former partner on the police force. Remini reunited with James in the two-part Season 1 finale as undercover cop Vanessa Cellucci. The Hollywood Reporter reported earlier that Remini would return in that role as a regular next season.

As far as ratings were concerned, “Kevin Can Wait” didn’t appear to need any changes. According to Deadline, the CBS show finished the season as the No. 1 new comedy with 9.19 million total viewers and a 2.1 rating for adults aged 18 to 49.

Hayes didn’t reveal much in a farewell tweet.

Sources told Variety that the change was not about her performance, but that the show was going in a different direction.

Under any circumstances, her on-screen chemistry with James would be tough to match the nine-season run of James and Remini on “King of Queens.”

Chris Hemsworth Has No Doubt Wonder Woman Would ‘Kick Thor’s Ass’

With a record-breaking opening weekend and stellar reviews, Wonder Woman is certainly having a moment. And while some men nationwide are having temper tantrums about women-only screenings of the female-led film, other men are totally aware of how fantastic the film, and its leading lady, really are. So, who’s the newest dude to hop on the Wonder Woman train? None other than the one who plays Marvel Comics’ Thor, Chris Hemsworth.

Wonder Woman’s lead actress Gal Gadot paid a visit to Katie Couric, and used the opportunity to call out Hemsworth and ask him if he thinks her Wonder Woman would win a fight against his Thor. (Check it out in the video below.)

Hemsworth responded accordingly on Twitter, saying that he thinks Wonder Woman would, in fact, “kick Thor’s a**.”

And the conversation didn’t stop there. Couric agreed and Gadot followed up, saying she “always knew” Hemsworth was a “smart guy,” and suggesting that their two worlds ought to collide.

We’ll be waiting with the popcorn.

Ariana Grande Shows Her Support For Victims Of London Attack

Ariana Grande showed her support for London on Saturday night after two possible terror attacks left at least six people dead in the city.

The singer’s message, sent on Twitter, was simple: “Praying for London ♡”

Police are investigating after suspects plowed a van into a group of pedestrians on the London Bridge, then fled the vehicle and began stabbing people in a restaurant at the nearby Borough Market. At least six people were killed in the attacks and at least 30 were hospitalized.

The violence in London struck less than two weeks after a deadly terrorist attack hit Manchester Arena, where Grande had just performed. A suspected suicide bomber detonated an explosive outside of the concert, killing 22 people ― many of whom were children.

Grande tweeted shortly after the Manchester attack that she was “broken” over the violence that followed her concert.

“From the bottom of my heart, I am so so sorry. I don’t have words,” she wrote.

The pop star announced days later that she would host a One Love Manchester benefit concert featuring an all-star lineup including herself, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Coldplay and Pharrell Williams.

The concert sold out in less than six minutes. It is still scheduled to run at the Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester on Sunday.

Last Words: Alexis Michelle Reflects On Her Time On ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’

Throughout the ninth season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” Huffington Post Queer Voices will interview each departing queen on the Saturday following the air date of their elimination episode. Check HuffPost Queer Voices weekly to read about these queens’ reflections on their time on the show, as well as their legacies as queer artists and performers. Check out the previous interview with Jaymes MansfieldKimora BlacCharlie HidesEureka O’HaraCynthia Lee FontaineAjaFarrah MoanValentina and Nina Bo’nina Brown.

With only one more episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” before the reunion and season finale, we’ve really come down to the best of the best this season ― and we witnessed a top five who each deserved to be there for their own unique reasons.

However, someone has to go, and this week it was NYC queen Alexis Michelle. In a season lacking major drama or arch villains, Alexis often seemed to find herself at odds with the other girls these last few episodes. However, even during her shadiest moments broadcast on the show, Alexis always managed to come off as a professional and on top of her game and she scored a number of wins throughout the season.

It was Alexis’ NYC sister Peppermint who sent her packing this week, leaving us with a top four of Pep, Trinity Taylor, Shea Couleé and Sasha Velour. In this interview with HuffPost, Alexis reflects on her accomplishments while on the show, the season as a whole and what she wants to do with her platform as this season of “Drag Race” begins to draw to a close.

HuffPost: Looking back on “Drag Race” since you filmed last summer, how do you feel about the experience? Do you feel like you achieved everything you set out to achieve when you first hit the soundstage?

Alexis Michelle: If I really look back at it, I can’t say that I achieved everything that I was trying to achieve. I think I achieved a lot, but I’m known at home for being a very visual, polished queen and I feel like I brought an element of polish to the show ― but perhaps there were a couple of times where visually, whether it was the pressure or whether it was a bit of misjudgment, I maybe didn’t put my strongest foot forward. And, of course, I would’ve liked to go all the way to the top. So I can’t say I accomplished everything I set out to but I did accomplish at lot.

Is there look or a specific episode or element the show that you were the most proud of?

I definitely felt very proud of my performance in the Kardashian musical ― getting to work with Todrick Hall was such a dream come true. And I have such a fascination with Kris Jenner, so getting to portray her in the musical was so fun and I feel like that was a real shining moment. And, of course, the episode after that was Snatch Game and that was just a great time all around, both to be able to pay tribute to Liza [Minnelli] and to get to make RuPaul laugh. And then to get to do Breathless Mahoney [from “Dick Tracy”] for the Madonna runway was such a dream come true. A big full circle moment for sure.

How do you feel about your portrayal on the show, particularly towards the end of the season? These last few episodes seemed to portray you in somewhat villainous light. Do you think this portrayal is accurate?

Well, let me just clarify by saying I’m not calling any kind of shade on editing. I think that as the competition goes on, the pressure gets higher and stress levels get higher. And then, that being said, I felt a great friendship with all of my sisters and I think that perhaps in a season that really felt a lot like “RuPaul’s Best Friend Race” at times, if there was ever a moment of tension, that’s really going to stand out for people. So perhaps that’s where this perception is coming from but I assure you I was far from the shadiest person in the room [laughs].

As I’m sure you’ve gathered, so much of the show’s fan base now is made up of young teen and preteen girls. Why do you think “Drag Race” resonates so profoundly with this demographic of viewers?

I think that “Drag Race” speaks to a lot of young people in particular because young people in their adolescence are at a time when they’re really defining who they are and drag is all about self expression of who you are. As I’ve been out in the world and I’ve met a lot of these young fans, it’s become clear to me that the inspiration they derive is in us being able to live as ourselves so fully. And I think that to a young person who is figuring themselves out and really defining who they are in the world, that is where the inspiration comes from about living fully, living truthfully and very glamorously, at that. A lot of these young boys and girls love make-up among other things and getting to see us express ourselves so visually, I imagine, is very stimulating.

With “Drag Race” being aired on VH1 this season, do you see any political implications with the show being on such a mainstream network at this moment in history? What are your thoughts about that whole shift?

The move to VH1 is definitely indicative of the fact that the show is more popular than ever and will probably continue to gain popularity. With the move to VH1 we basically doubled the number of people that view the show and that’s really huge and major. And it’s very exciting. I’m glad that perhaps in reaching more people that it’s also reaching people that may not have watched it before. Maybe it’s now more of a mixed crowd watching the show, and I think that’s helpful in the world because connection is what the world lacks a lot of the time and it’s what the world needs the most, I think, is connection.

What do you want to do with the platform that “Drag Race” has given you?

There’s so much that I want to accomplish personally when it comes to acting and singing on stage and on screen. I know that expressing myself in that way does do a lot for a lot of people, as I’ve learned in my travels. But I also just want to make sure that if I have this visibility I can use it to speak my truth politically. We’re in such a time of unrest – and for good reason because there’s a lot of crap going down in the world socially and politically. So if there’s anything I can do to bring light to the right side of history than that’s what I want to do.

Out of everyone left in the competition who are you rooting for?

It’s such a hard question because even with the girls that left previously in the competition there were such good contenders. Any of these girls that are left could win – I kind of want them all to win for different reasons. I love that Trinity represents pageantry and polish but she showed herself to be such a diverse competitor by coming out in very different kinds of looks as well as doing really awesome in acting challenges. I think Shea is so well-versed and well-rounded as a queen. I love that Sasha brought something so intellectual and artistic to the show but so polished at the same. It really never felt rough around the edges with Sasha. And Peppermint is just such a tour de force. You’ve got to see her live – she just sparkles on stage and lights up the room when she’s on the microphone. It’s so hard to say – there’s really something great about all of them.

What do you want people to know and understand about who Alexis Michelle is as an artist going forward?

The first thing everybody should know about me is that I am here to entertain and make you feel great – well, to make you feel. It’s not just about feeling great, it’s about making you feel. Entertainment can sometimes be about distracting from the harsh realities of the world but I say, for me, I want you to feel good, I want you to slip away from all that, but I also want to hold the mirror up to society and perhaps make you think a little bit. And beyond that ― beyond entertaining I want people to know that I’m here to spread love. I think that’s what the world is missing when it gets messed up and that’s my message – just like RuPaul says, “Everybody say love!”

Kathy Griffin Lawyers Up To Address ‘Bullying’ From Trump Family

The media firestorm after Kathy Griffin released a photo of her holding a bloody, fake Donald Trump head has been relentless. She’s been widely criticized, she’s been defended, she’s apologized and she lost her New Year’s Eve gig with CNN. Now, she’s lawyering up.

Griffin has enlisted the help of celebrity lawyer Lisa Bloom, who has a yuuuge reputation. Among her high-profile cases, Bloom has reportedly represented women who accused Bill Cosby and Bill O’Reilly of harassment.

The pair will hold a press conference Friday to explain the image and respond to “bullying” from the Trump family.

Bloom tweeted a press release explaining, “Earlier this week, Ms. Griffin released a controversial photograph of herself posing with a faux-bloody mask of Donald Trump’s face. Ms. Griffin and Ms. Bloom will explain the true motivation behind the image, and respond to the bullying from the Trump family she has endured.”

It’s unclear at this time exactly what bullying Griffin is referring to, but more should be explained at the press conference.

The Trumps have responded since the photo’s release, with President Trump saying the comedian should be “ashamed,” whereas the first lady called Griffin “sick.” Donald Trump Jr. responded by writing on Twitter, “Imagine a conservative did this to Obama as POTUS?”

You don’t have to imagine, Donald Trump Jr., since conservatives have made plenty of vile images and comments about President Obama, too.

Regardless, in her apology video, Griffin admitted she “went too far.”

The Agent Who Discovered J.K. Rowling Explains Why Her Stories Are Magical

More so than a collection of stories, the “Harry Potter” series can be characterized by its most devoted fans as a hobby, or a lifestyle. The increasingly voluminous installments were hefty enough to get lost in, and they managed to create not only a convincing world, but lovable characters, too.

It’s hard to imagine a world in which the books (and films, and video games, and personality quizzes) might not have been published. But, according to J.K. Rowling’s first agent Christopher Little, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was not an easy sell.

Little told HuffPost over email that Rowling selected him as her agent in part due to his name, which she liked. He was, in turn, enamored of her story, believing after reading it that it was ready to be sent out to publishers, requiring few big changes. (The rules of Quidditch, however, were altered.)

Below, Little describes the experience of trying to sell a book he believed in ― in spite of publishers’ protestations that it was too long or too “exclusive.”

When Rowling first found an agent, he compared her world-building talent to Tolkien’s.

“When I received the submission from Joanne (as she was known at the time) Rowling, it just came in as an unsolicited submission (of the first three chapters) and was picked up by our then office manager who was looking through the slush pile,” he said. “She liked it and bought it to my attention. Once I read it, I had no reservations whatsoever and in fact felt very excited about it.

“It was clearly presented as a fully realized world […] I don’t think I recall reading anything so immersive since The Lord of the Rings many years earlier. We quickly wrote back to Jo asking to see the rest of the manuscript as soon as I had finished those initial chapters.”

Rowling chose to write under the name “J.K.” in order to appeal to young boy readers.

“The suggestion to use initials instead of J.K. Rowling’s given name, Joanne, came from discussion with Bloomsbury. It’s notoriously harder to get boys to read in comparison with girls, as many parents will know, and an author being obviously female was more likely to be off-putting to boys. Joanne selected the ‘K’ after her paternal grandmother.”

Rowling only made a few changes before sending it out to publishers.

“There were very minor differences in the full manuscript that was received and that which was sent to the publishers — I do recall that the Quidditch rules were tweaked a bit!”

The book was rejected over and over again before it found a home.

“Over a period of nigh on a year, the book was turned down by more or less every major publishing house in the U.K. Various reasons were given including the story being too long, the fact that a story set in a children’s boarding school might feel too ‘exclusive’ to many readers, etc.

“When I first spoke to Barry Cunningham, who had at that time recently been hired to run the new children’s department at Bloomsbury Publishing, the book was accepted and an offer was made. He saw the same potential as I did ― perhaps as we both came from a background other than publishing originally, so arguably thought slightly less conventionally and considered this well-characterized, unique story as one that clearly should be published despite such considerations.”

From June 1 to 30, HuffPost is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the very first “Harry Potter” book by reminiscing about all things Hogwarts. Accio childhood memories.

‘Wonder Woman’ Trolls Its Male Killjoys With Poise And Wit

Men on the internet will leave no female-fronted blockbuster unturned. Until a few days ago, the fervor surrounding “Wonder Woman,” which opens this weekend after two decades of false starts and personnel changes, felt tame on the grown-males-whining front. As long as Wonder Woman isn’t busting ghosts, she’ll be fine. Unless, of course, a theater announces no-boys-allowed screenings. Then it’s war.

It seems the folks responsible for “Wonder Woman” anticipated a macho tussle somewhere along the movie’s Amazonian journey to the big screen. After all, the internet provides well-trod platforms for fanboys ― and I do mean boys ― who are hyper-reactive to any feminine updates to their childhood staples. Wonder Woman, as an entity, should have been bulletproof, considering the strong-willed heroine dates back to her 1941 DC Comics debut, which spawned multiple animated adaptations and the popular 1970s television series starring Lynda Carter. Oh, we of little faith. Patty Jenkins, the first woman to direct a major superhero movie, and screenwriter Allan Heinberg surely foresaw the same juvenile gender divide that haunts the Hollywood franchise machine. Never devolving into a didactic sermon about feminism, “Wonder Woman” chides its male mudslingers with humor and grace.

Once the titular Amazon princess (Gal Gadot), known colloquially as Diana Prince, leaves her remote island to join Army captain Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) on World War I’s virile London battleground, her self-empowering seclusion clashes with the modern metropolis’ heteronormative standards. (Mind you, this comes after Diana and her fleet massacre the German soldiers who’ve washed ashore with Steve.) Having grown up surrounded only by warrior women, Diana carries no baggage about how she should behave in relation to male acquaintances. As she and Steve set sail, he says it’s only appropriate that he sleep in separate quarters of the boat. Diana can’t understand why it should matter ― temptation is of no concern to her, even as their chemistry simmers. Steve assumes this means she is unschooled in carnal matters, but oh no: Diana knows all about “reproductive biology” and “pleasures of the flesh,” having read “all 12 volumes of Cleo’s treatises on body and pleasure.” This yields her fiercest conclusion about the weaker sex: Men are essential for procreation but expendable in matters of bliss, erotic or otherwise.

Without devaluing its penis-toting characters, “Wonder Woman” continues this soft battle of the sexes across its 2.5-hour runtime. Diana becomes our surrogate for a world where women don’t even entertain the expectations of men. When she’s introduced to Steve’s “secretary,” the plucky Etta Candy (Lucy Davis), whose duties entail whatever Steve asks of her, Diana likens the role to slavery. During her plot to stop the god Ares from wreaking more wartime havoc, Diana scolds a pompous general for not fighting alongside his troops, like the matrons of her native Themyscira would. At every turn, dudes inform her that circumstances are too “dangerous.” Nevertheless, she persists, aided by her signature Lasso of Truth, god-killing sword and bullet-shielding bracelets. When Diana is prepared to execute the man she thinks is Ares, Steve tells her, “I can’t let you do that.” “What I do is not up to you,” she counters. She doesn’t need textbook feminism because she’d never conceptualized a pretense where men were superior in the first place. In Diana’s universe, an all-women movie screening would be another ordinary night out.

By the time Diana disrobes to reveal her tightly cropped Wonder Woman suit in all its glory, it is an act of power. She runs circles around the boys who tell her they “can’t save everyone in this war.” It comes as no surprise that the woman in “Wonder Woman” remains the victor, but Jenkins and Heinberg effectively pepper the movie with a winking sense of humor about the number of gents who doubt Diana’s facilities. Gadot and Pine are in on the joke too, tempering their performances so gamely that “Wonder Woman” almost becomes a buddy comedy. The final 20 minutes disintegrate into the same noisy CGI spectacle that concludes all comic-book movies, but this particular superhero outing is judicious and charming enough to rise above its genre hurdles.

Whether the angry internet men-children will skip “Wonder Woman” because of the Alamo Drafthouse screening or any other gender-related nonsense ― well, who cares, really. Advance tracking for the movie’s opening weekend indicates heftier interest among male moviegoers than female moviegoers, according to The Hollywood Reporter, so the sound and fury will likely amount to little. Jenkins, who is best known for the Charlize Theron vehicle “Monster,” isn’t trying to prove anything other than her (already proven) ability to make a quality movie. On that front, she has succeeded. For added kicks, she also trolled the men who would doubt her along the way. Wonderful, woman.

“Wonder Woman” opens June 2.

Donald Trump Calls Kathy Griffin ‘Sick’ In Response To Controversial Image

Donald Trump responded to Kathy Griffin’s controversial photo on Twitter Wednesday morning. Images of the comedian holding a bloodied head made to look like the president went viral Tuesday, sparking widespread backlash.

“Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself,” the president wrote. “My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!”

Trump’s son Donald Jr. also responded to the image, writing on Twitter, “The #kathygriffin phony apology would be a lot easier to believe if there wasn’t a video of her mocking the response she knew was coming.”

The gory image of Griffin holding a fake, blood-covered head caused an uproar almost instantly, and rightfully so, with many people on social media condemning Griffin’s actions. The Secret Service also responded to the images, implying they were looking into the situation as a threat.

The comedian has since apologized for the photo, which was taken by Tyler Shields, saying, “I’m a comic, I cross the line. I move the line, then I cross it. I went way too far.”

You’re Old, And Hanson’s Kids Are Starring In Their Music Videos Now

Alert: Hanson is low-key good again.

Actually, as family bands go, the trio has managed to consistently deliver solid (mmm) bops since the early ‘90s and now they’re ready to hand it off to a new generation aka their ridiculously adorable offspring.

As part of the 25th anniversary celebration of the band, brothers Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson have released a new single and music video for the track “I Was Born” off their upcoming greatest hits album, “Middle of Everywhere.”

Starring 11 of their 12 children, the black-and-white music video features the Hanson brood lip-syncing to the catchy single, as they try out various careers like being a doctor, ballerina, scientist and boxer.

“Featuring our own kids made sense because we knew they would share an honest performance,” Zac told People about the decision to include their children in the video. “We loved the fact that it added another dimension to the story of pursuing our dreams for the last 25 years.”

“From the earliest conversations about this song, we imagined kids featured in the video to elevate the song’s message of unbridled optimism for the future,” Taylor added.

Who knows what the future will bring for the Hanson kids, but clearly they were born to be rock stars, just like their dads.

LGBTQ Community Faces An ‘Invisible’ Hollywood Summer Movie Season

”Moonlight,” and its story of a young black gay man struggling with his identity, may have won the coveted best picture Oscar this year, but it is still hard to find an LGBTQ character in a major Hollywood movie, according to a report on Thursday.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender advocacy group GLAAD said that only 23 of the 125 films released by the seven major Hollywood studios in 2016 includes LGBTQ characters. The “Q” stands for Questioning or Queer.

While U.S. television has made great strides in recent years with LGBT stories and characters, Hollywood movie studios are lagging way behind, the GLAAD report said.

Worse still, some are still featuring outdated humor, including the new “Baywatch” movie which has a scene where stars Zac Efron and Dwayne Johnson respond in horror to accidentally kissing one another, it noted.

“The time has come for the film industry to step up and show the full diversity of the world that movie audiences are living in today,” said GLAAD President Sarah Kate Ellis.

“Films like ‘Moonlight’ prove there is a huge opportunity to not only tell LGBTQ stories worthy of Oscar gold, but to open the hearts and minds of audiences here and around the world in places where these stories can be a lifeline to the people who need it most,” she added.

While GLAAD said that its findings were up one percentage point from 2015, when 22 films contained an LGBTQ character, 10 of the 2016 crop gave such characters less than one minute of screen time.

Hollywood studios also fall far behind other media in portraying transgender characters. GLAAD counted just one character (in “Zoolander 2”) in its 2016 report, and said that character existed solely as a punchline.

Despite some notable examples earlier this year, including a gay character in the new live action blockbuster “Beauty and the Beast,” GLAAD said “the forecast for the summer blockbuster season is a continuation of LGBTQ invisibility.”

Kevin Spacey Competes With Gordon Ramsay At Cursing, And Surprisingly Wins

British chef Gordon Ramsay isn’t known to mince his words.

But even he seemed slightly shocked by “House of Cards” star Kevin Spacey’s liberal use of curse words in a promo clip for his new show.

In a video that’s fast going viral, Spacey begins by talking about his upcoming one-man play “Clarence Darrow.” But the interview soon descends into an amusing swearing contest, with Spacey eventually gaining the upper hand.

“Damn, I’ve been out fucked,” jokes Ramsay at the end.

Check out the clip above, and see the full interview when “The F Word” premieres on Fox on May 31.

When Ballet Is Your Life, What Does Life After Ballet Look Like?

For a generation of ballerinas, Wendy Whelan was a walking goddess. The former New York City Ballet principal dancer joined the company at 17, and was quickly singled out for promotion and praise. She served as a muse for multiple then-up-and-coming choreographers and would go on to have more new ballets made for her than any other dancer in the company’s history. She became the defining American ballerina of her generation.

All the while, she says in a new documentary, she was asking herself, “What the fuck is it going to be like when I can’t do this any more?”

In 2013, she found out.

At the time, Whelan was 46 years old, which is all but ancient by ballerina standards. Ballet is so punishing on the body, and the standard demanded by top companies so high, that most women peak by their 30th birthdays and retire not long after. When Misty Copeland was promoted to the top rank of American Ballet Theater in 2015, it was a bittersweet moment: she’d been promoted at last, but at the age of 32, she probably didn’t have many dancing years left in her. Whelan, whose professional ballet career lasted three decades, was truly an anomaly, a ballet institution who outlasted some of her younger colleagues by years.

By 46, she noticed that she was being cast in fewer ballets, including, to her chagrin, the iconic Nutcracker, in which she’d been dancing the role of the Sugarplum Fairy for years. Her boss, Ballet Master Peter Martins, hinted that it might be time for her to move on. And then, her hip started hurting.

The documentary “Wendy Whelan: Restless Creature” finds Whelan preparing for surgery to repair a labral tear, which has made even walking across the stage an agony. She travels to Vail, Colorado, and puts herself in the hands of one of the world’s best hip surgeons, whose walls are covered in the jerseys of the pro athletes he’s treated. This is the man people see when they need to get back in the game, she explains. She needs to do just that, she says, especially since “I don’t have a ton of time left at my game.”

”Restless Creature” shows us Whelan’s recovery from the surgery (after first showing us the surgery itself, in rather gruesome detail), and her return to New York to contemplate what comes after ballet. She gets off crutches, returns to the ballet studio and begins to branch out into contemporary dance, hoping that it will be less brutal on her body. But it soon becomes clear that her body can’t take a return to ballet in addition to her ambitious plan to create a contemporary dance program and tour it all over the country. She has to focus on ballet for what little time she has left before retirement becomes inevitable.

Throughout the film, Whelan consults her former colleagues, all of whom have already retired. She asks them: How did you do this? How did you walk away from the only job you’ve ever had, the thing you’ve been working toward almost since you could walk? Who are you when you’re a ballerina who can’t do ballet any more?

Career paths out of ballet are notoriously narrow. Dancers usually skip college, and even the end of high school, to devote themselves to dancing in their late teens and early 20s, which means that when they retire from dancing, they’re out in the job market without an entry-level degree. Some dancers go on to teach or coach, and some to choreograph, though the latter path is often even less stable, predictable or lucrative than being a dancer. Some go into ballet-adjacent work, like dance photography. Some will be picked to run companies; Pacific Northwest Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Washington Ballet and Pennsylvania Ballet are all run by alumni of the New York City Ballet or American Ballet Theater. But there are only so many ballet companies to run, and turnover at the top can be infrequent.

Besides, as Whelan explains in the film, she hadn’t made a plan for her post-ballet life; while some of her colleagues were setting themselves up for the next step, she was busy just … dancing.

At its core, “Restless Creature” is a film about grief. We watch as Whelan comes to the realization that her career is ending; that she’ll soon lose the structure of morning class and rehearsal and performance that have defined her days for decades; that she’ll leave behind a large piece of herself, and her identity, when she leaves the Lincoln Center stage for the last time. She moves through the stages of grieving, showing the camera very little anger, and the film ends with her farewell performance in October 2014, which featured yet more new works made just for her.

Now, she’s “really close to the end” of that grieving process, she told HuffPost in a phone interview. She didn’t go to the ballet for a while after she retired, but, she says, now she can go “and not feel pangs in the same way. I’m really happy about that. I can watch works that were made for me and feel a separation, and I’m really glad about that.”

She’s still performing. Her collaboration with the cadre of contemporary choreographers she assembled at the end of her time at City Ballet has toured around the country, and she opened the Joyce Theater’s spring season this year. She’s started coaching other dancers, and recently set a piece by Alexei Ratmansky with Pacific Northwest Ballet — meaning, she learned every step and movement of the ballet and then taught them all to the dancers at that company.

In her new life as a contemporary dancer, she says, her body and her mind have begun working differently. “I’ve let my body soften,” she says. “I’ve let it relax. There’s a lot of anxiety in the ballet world and nervousness,” but in contemporary dance, she feels more grounded. “There’s this calmness that I didn’t have in ballet because I was always up so high on my toes. For me there’s a parallel between how I was dancing and how I was feeling.” After decades of sewing ribbons onto pointe shoes every night, she now rehearses in socks, or bare feet, or canvas ballet flats.

Her new role allows her far more artistic control than she had as a ballerina. She chooses who choreographs on her, she designs programs, she wields far more power than she could as a dancer — something most ballerinas never get to experience before or after they retire. It took some getting used to. “I was so comfortable with my ballet power, my dancer power, that to have a voice, the comfort with having a voice, is slower to come to me,” she says. “I’ve always had a point of view, but to be in the front of the room, I didn’t move into a front of the room position until I retired, and that was really slow. “ While contemporary dance sees more women at the front of the room — running rehearsals instead of dancing in them — than classical ballet does, there’s still an enormous gender imbalance. Most dance companies are run by men, and most choreographers (even those with whom Whelan now collaborates) are men.

Above all, Whelan doesn’t plan to stop dancing, even if she’s not dancing ballet anymore. After she retired, she had a full hip replacement, which she says left her totally pain-free. She says that good genes and “great energy” in her family gave her a body that took easily to dance and was able to keep dancing long after most people have to stop, “a lucky body, not a great body.”

Still, she’s no longer on the regimented rehearsal schedule of a principal ballerina, and when asked what she most misses and least misses, she answers both questions the same way: “I really miss dancing all day long,” she says. “But something I really love is not dancing all day long. I love that I can’t rely on dancing all day long to stay creative.” After the heartbreak of leaving her old self behind, she’s found that she didn’t need it as much as she thought, or feared.

As for the beautiful and cruel ballet slippers that she put on her feet every day for almost 40 years, the bodily extensions that are synonymous with the ballerina, does she miss those? “Sometimes I miss being en pointe, but not a whole lot,” she says. “Every once and a while I would love to float for a minute on a shoe. But for the most part, I did it long enough that it’s OK.”

”Wendy Whelan: Restless Creature” opens June 9th and will be in limited release.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Is Having Trouble Accepting That ‘Baywatch’ Is A Bad Movie

When one of the biggest laughs in your movie revolves around the supposed hilarity of Zac Efron fondling a dead man’s scrotum, it’s probably a good move to check your outrage over its critical reception.

If you’ve somehow been able to remain ignorant to its relentless marketing campaign (seriously, how?), “Baywatch” hits theaters Friday and critics are already savaging the movie with a 19 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes. Some have compared watching the reboot to sitting in a wet bathing suit for a prolonged period, while others have conceded it’s stupidly entertaining at best.

The movie’s star, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, however, is on a one man social media mission to convince the world that “Baywatch” isn’t as bad as everyone’s saying it is. Cue the actor launching into an almost Trumpian tweetstorm on Thursday about how out of touch the media is with what the the public wants.

He kicked it off by reminding us all of the “extremely high scores” from fans.

Then he posted a story about the critics score on Rotten Tomatoes rising from its 13 percent to a slightly less embarrassing 18 percent.

“Yay positive upticks,” he tweeted. “Fans LOVE the movie. Critics HATE it. What a glaring disconnect. People just want to laugh & have fun.”

Next he spent time praising some fans and critics who actually liked the movie with some choice retweets and knocks at those who laughed in the theater, but trash the film publicly.

And to finish off, Johnson took one more jab at the “Baywatch” naysayers, reminding everyone once again of just how differently the fans and the media feel about the movie.

“Oh boy, critics had their venom & knives ready,” he wrote. “Fans LOVE the movie. Huge positive scores. Big disconnect w/ critics & people.”

Considering the way things are headed, “Baywatch” will likely get a sequel and Johnson will make the White House home within the decade, so maybe we should submit and take a bite of what The Rock is cooking.

When Celebrities Do The Weather, It’s Breezy With A Chance Of Hilarity

Going on a news show to promote a new project is a normal part of a celebrity’s life.

Usually, these appearances just involve the anchors asking the standard questions about the famous person’s latest project.

Sometimes, though, the famous folk get asked to do the weather — and that’s when the craziness really begins.

The video above shows what happens when people like Katy Perry, Ellen DeGeneres and Steve Carell step out of their comfort zone and do the weather.

Kevin Hart shows one weather woman the importance of doing squats.

Tom Hanks seems more interested in dancing with the weather woman than talking about storm fronts.

Katy Perry isn’t quite able to master looking at the weather map and the camera at the same time.

Ellen DeGeneres just turns the thing into a bizarre interpretive dance.

Let the laughter rain down.

Helen Mirren Zings Donald Trump In Most Badass Commencement Speech Of 2017

Helen Mirren peppered her address to graduating students at Tulane University in New Orleans on Saturday with the occasional risqué joke and dig at President Donald Trump.

The Academy Award winner also explained her road to becoming a “declared feminist” and shared her own “top five rules for a happy life” ― from ignoring people who judge the way you look to not overcomplicating things.

Mirren, 71, said she’d struggled to find one piece of advice that students in the audience would remember 40 years down the road. But she ultimately settled on a very contemporary piece of guidance.

“Whether you’re in the French Quarter or the Oval Office, no good can ever come from tweeting at 3 a.m.,” she said, a subtle quip in reference to Trump’s late-night Twitter habits.

Mirren noted that she’d always believed women were “as capable and as energetic and as inspiring as men” but initially believed joining the feminism movement seemed “too political.”

Her stance changed, she said, after realizing that feminism was “not an abstract idea.”

“It’s a necessity if we ― and really by ‘we,’ I mean you guys ― are to move us forward and not backward into ignorance and fearful jealousy,” she said.

“Never again allow a group of old, rather grumpy, rich white men define the health care of a country that is 50.8 percent women and 37 percent other races,” she added.

Watch Mirren’s full speech in the clip below and read the text here.

First Confirmed Manchester Victim Met Ariana Grande And Was Devoted Fan

An Ariana Grande superfan who tweeted her excitement at attending the singer’s concert before Monday’s suspected terrorist attack in Manchester, England, is the first of 22 victims to be publicly named.

Georgina Callander, 18, had just tweeted at Grande the day before the show, “SO EXCITED TO SEE U TOMORROW.” Her school said in a statement that she had died in the suspected attack that also injured 59 people.

She previously shared a backstage photo with Grande from two years ago at the same venue, Manchester Arena. “I hugged her so tight and she said she loved my bow. I can’t get over this, I never will,” she wrote at the time. (Callander is on the left)

In Twitter tributes from friends and loved ones, one woman called Callander “a beautiful girl with the kindest heart & soul.” Another, Sophie Jauregui, wished that her “beautiful best friend” rest in peace, saying she was a “true ray of sunshine and loved everyone for who they were.”

“Once Upon A Time” actor Sean Maguire, who met Callander, also voiced his condolences.

Callander was rushed from the scene of the blast to the hospital, where she reportedly died with her mother at her bedside

Her school, Runshaw College in Lancaster, paid tribute to her in a statement. “It is with enormous sadness that it appears that one of the people who lost their lives in Monday’s Manchester attack was one of our students here at Runshaw College,” the school said. “Georgina Callander was a former Bishop Rawstorne pupil studying with us on the second year of her Health and Social Care course. Our deepest sympathies, thoughts and prayers go out to all of Georgina’s friends, family and all of those affected by this loss. We are offering all available support possible at this tragic time, including counselling with our dedicated student support team.”

Katy Perry Finally Explains Taylor Swift Feud: ‘She Started It’

We finally know why they got bad blood.

The truth behind the Taylor Swift and Katy Perry feud has been largely a mystery. We could guess it had something to do with backup dancers, as Swift previously told Rolling Stone her song “Bad Blood,” rumored to be about Perry, was about a singer “who basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour.”

Facts were scant, though. Even with Perry’s “Swish, Swish,” a song rumored to be about Swift that debuted last week (more than a year after Swift’s track), we didn’t know the full story.

Now it’s coming at you like a dark horse.

During an extended “Primetime Carpool Karaoke Special” on Monday night, Perry opened up about everything to host James Corden.

According to Perry, the feud started because some of her usual dancers wanted to perform with Swift. Perry said she had no problem with the dancers’ choice, but to make sure their contracts included a provision allowing them to drop out of Swift’s ensemble when Perry went back on tour in a year or so.

Well, when the time came for Perry to prepare for her tour, the dancers went to Swift’s management to discuss leaving ― and got fired.

“She started it, and it’s time for her to finish it,” Perry told Corden. The singer said she tried to speak to Swift about the issue but noted, “She wouldn’t speak to me.”

The singer continued, “It was a full shutdown, and then she writes a song about me, and I’m like, OK, cool, cool, cool, that’s how you want to deal with it? Karma!”

Then Perry went off like a firework:

But what I want to say is that I’m ready for that BS to be done. Now, there is the law of cause and effect. You do something, and there’s going to be a reaction, and trust me, Daddy, there’s going to be a reaction. It’s all about karma, right? … I think, personally, that women together, not divided, and none of this petty bullshit, women together will heal the world.

Preach!

Although the feud has now lasted years, Corden gets Perry to admit that it could all be erased with an apology text from Swift.

Will they shake, shake, shake, shake, shake it off? Or are they never, ever, ever getting back together?

The saga continues …

Justin Trudeau Photobombs A Prom Picture, Which Makes Him King

Prom nights often include awkward moments with your date and partying.

But a chance meeting with a head of state while he’s exercising?

Nope, that’s a new one.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau seemed to jog mostly unnoticed by a group of prom revelers in Vancouver, British Columbia, Friday night.

His photographer, Adam Scotti, captured the moment and wrote in a Sunday Instagram post that he’s chronicling the PM’s runs in a small side project and loves watching the reactions of people “as they realise who just ran past.”

It seems the group, at the Stanley Park Seawall, did finally recognize the photobomb-inclined Trudeau. He stopped for a photo with them.

Sure beats a corsage as a souvenir.

Drake’s Reaction To Vanessa Hudgens Rapping Says It All

Vanessa Hudgens’ rap skills are starting from the bottom, and now we’re here.

The 2017 Billboard Music Awards host broke out some of Nicki Minaj’s rap from Kanye West’s “Monster” while onstage with co-host Ludacris on Sunday. We’ve seen others such as Millie Bobby Brown rap the verse before to wide praise. So, in theory, this is a great way to connect with the audience and keep things fun.

It didn’t really go like that.

The look on Drake’s face says it all …

Stuff like this is probably why he says “no new friends.”

The internet caught on, and the people had jokes.

Drake seemed to make up for it later, complimenting Hudgens and Ludacris during one of his acceptance speeches. But if that look had a title, it’d be last name Ever, first name Coldest.

‘Complicit Ivanka’ Johansson Joins Alec Baldwin For Final ‘SNL’ Hallelujah

The entire “White House” crew of “Saturday Night Live” gathered, one by one, around Alec Baldwin’s Donald Trump at the piano for a soulful rendition of a last “Hallelujah” on the finale of one of the most memorable and politically charged seasons of the 42-year series.

At the lyric “I told the truth, I didn’t come to fool ya,” Baldwin took his hands from the piano keys but the piano continued to play. Kate McKinnon’s Kellyanne Conway held up crossed fingers.

The cold-open “Hallejulah” was part of an episode that wrapped up a season of skewering the White House. It could have been a farewell to the besieged Trump administration — or it may have marked Baldwin’s last turn at playing the president.

Gathered around the piano were the Grim Reaper playing Steve Bannon, and Mikey Day and Alex Moffatt’s dopey Trump brothers. Cecily Strong turned up as first lady Melania Trump and Scarlett Johansson was back as daughter Ivanka in a gold lame gown from her March skit plugging her perfume Complicit (”a fragrance for the woman who could stop all this — but won’t”).

Beck Bennett was Vice President Mike Pence — instead of his usual Vladimir Putin — and Aidy Bryant stood in for Sarah Huckabee Sanders. (Putin was represented by the Russian flag pin on Baldwin’s lapel.)

The song came full circle from the “SNL” episode following the presidential election when McKinnon sadly sat at the same piano to sing the song to honor the late Leonard Cohen — and lament the electoral loss of Hillary Clinton. “I’m not giving up, and neither should you,” McKinnon told her audience then.

This time Baldwin wrapped up his “Hallelujah” and declared: “I’m not giving up because I didn’t do anything wrong… but I can’t speak for these people.”

The episode was bittersweet, as it remains unclear if Baldwin plans to return as Trump after this season. He has said the role was getting depressing because of the “maliciousness” of the administration, and worried that people won’t be amused much longer by the president. “If everything stays the same in the country… I don’t think people will be in the mood to laugh about it,” he said in March.

But he has since left the door slightly ajar to the possibility of returning. “Look, I’d love to keep doing this per my availability, but I have other things I’m going to do, so I guess we’ll figure it out,” Baldwin told The Hollywood Reporter last week.

‘Late Show’ Packs Donald Trump’s Suitcase For His First Foreign Trip

Tic Tacs? Check. Golf balls? Check. Photograph of Russian President Vladimir Putin? Check.

On Friday, “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” imagined just what Donald Trump packed in his suitcase for his first trip overseas as president.

There’s no sign of any steaks, though. Presumably because the caterers preparing his meals in Saudi Arabia have already got that covered.

Find out what else Trump “packed” in the clip above.

The First ‘Wonder Woman’ Reactions Are Everything You Hoped For

This is a super-powered relief.

Following the critical failures of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Suicide Squad,” things weren’t looking good for the next installment in the DC Extended Universe, “Wonder Woman.”

Yeah, the trailers looked great, but remember how beloved the “Suicide Squad” trailer was? A lackluster movie can ruin a great trailer pretty fast. Claims from a supposed insider that the “Wonder Woman” movie was a “mess,” which director Patty Jenkins refuted, also didn’t help things.

But according to the initial social media reactions, Jenkins was right.

(Brush those haters off.)

“Wonder Woman” won’t be out for a couple more weeks, but critics’ first reactions to the movie are in, and they’re “fantastic.” They’ve called the movie “surprisingly good,” “absolutely empowering” and recounted stories of young girls at the screening emphatically saying, “YES!” (Aw!)

Wonder Woman herself, actress Gal Gadot, is also earning a lot of praise, being called a “legit movie star” and “perfect” in the role.

These reactions are a big win for fans of the comic character, for Warner Bros. and for young kids who can soon see a female superhero do what the guys recently couldn’t: kick butt and make a great DC movie.

See the reactions below:

”Wonder Woman” hits theaters June 2.

See Tim Tebow’s Surprise Prom Dance With Teen On ‘Tonight Show’

Tim Tebow told host Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show” Wednesday that he never went to the prom. “I was always playing baseball, basketball or football,” he said. “We were always so busy.”

But the former NFL quarterback and aspiring major leaguer clearly has a soft spot for the school dance ritual.

His foundation organizes a “Night to Shine” prom in several countries before Valentine’s Day for teenagers with special needs. One woman asked him to attend but Tebow was too busy flying to many of the events that night.

Well, he made it up to her on national television. The athlete called out Judy Adams from the “Tonight Show” audience and asked, “I was wondering if maybe I could have a dance?”

A delighted Judy stepped down to the stage. Tebow put on a wrist corsage for her, the two exchanged a hug, and off they went to trip the light fantastic.

Nice.

Someone Broke Into Amber Rose’s Home And Straight-Up Chilled For Hours

Amber Rose is the latest celebrity to fall victim to a home invasion.

When the homes of the rich and famous are vandalized, the intruders typically grab the goods and go. But the man who broke into Rose’s Los Angeles home early Wednesday morning stayed put for hours while she slept soundly in a nearby room, according to TMZ, which was first to report the break-in.

He reportedly gained entry between the hours of 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. through her pantry by breaking a kitchen window. Rose, along with her mother, son, assistant, and bodyguards were all in the residence at the time, but somehow no one noticed that the man remained in the home for four hours. Her assistant reportedly even got up to make food while the intruder was in the house and didn’t suspect anything.

It wasn’t until Rose noticed shattered glass in the kitchen area later that morning and checked her home surveillance footage that she discovered video evidence of a man breaking in and then leaving hours later. She then phoned the police who are now investigating the crime.

Nobody was harmed in the home invasion and the suspect reportedly didn’t even make off with any of Rose’s possessions.

Rose’s home invasion is part of a string of attacks on homes of celebrities including Emmy Rossum, Kendall Jenner and Jaime Pressly in recent months. Earlier that same day, armed robbers reportedly broke into rapper A$ AP Rocky’s Beverly Grove home, a mere 12 miles away from Rose’s residence, and made off with $ 1 million in cash and jewelry.

Jimmy Kimmel And Jennifer Aniston Team Up To Prank Justin Theroux

There’s criminally underrated TV, and then there’s HBO’s “The Leftovers.”

The apocalyptic drama starring Justin Theroux is currently in its third and final season, and despite never being recognized at the major awards shows, it delivers Emmy-worthy moments every week.

Apparently, it’s also Jimmy Kimmel’s favorite TV show, and one he’d like to see honored at the television awards ceremony in September. When Theroux stopped by “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Tuesday, the late-night host showed his appreciation with a good, old-fashioned pranking. And he didn’t do it alone.

As he told Theroux on set, Kimmel commandeered the keys to the actor’s car with the help of his wife, Jennifer Aniston, while Theroux was in Texas for a friend’s bachelor party. Before the actor left on vacation, he received a recall notice for his vehicle, which was actually just the first step in Kimmel’s plan to essentially “pimp” Theroux’s ride, “Leftovers” style, just as Emmys campaigns are kicking into high gear.

“I know you’re nervous, but I don’t want you to be nervous,” Kimmel began, “because this is going to be funny.”

”There was nothing wrong with the car,” the host revealed. “While you were gone, we got the keys to your car. It was not being repaired. There’s nothing wrong with the drive shaft. What we did was — because I feel like HBO could be doing a better job of promoting this for you — we had some experts adorn your car in a way that I think is going to bring you a lot of attention.”

Never give @jimmykimmel the keys to your car. #humbledouched #doucheybrag #thanks?

A post shared by @justintheroux on

While the actor was out of town, Kimmel hired a crew to cover the car in various cheesy campaign slogans like “For Your Theroux Consideration” and “Justin Time for the Emmy Nominations” alongside embarrassing photos of Theroux from the show. Nothing compares however to the hood, which features a shirtless paparazzi shot of the actor with the words “I’d Eat These Leftovers” painted across it.

Kimmel explained how his “Leftovers” enthusiasm built over time. “I would say the first season of the show was a good show. The second season, it became a great show. And now in the third season, it’s an unbelievably great show,” he told Theroux. “I want to help with this, because I feel like it’s just one of these shows that people need to catch up to — start and watch and enjoy the whole thing.”

Emmys, what’s good?

Pirates Reportedly Pirate Latest ‘Pirates’ Movie For Ransom

Disney CEO Bob Iger told company employees Monday that hackers claim to have channeled their inner Captain Jack Sparrow, filching one of the company’s films and threatening to release it, multiple trade publications have reported.

While Iger didn’t mention the name of the film, Deadline reported that the title is the painfully fitting Johnny Depp swashbuckling adventure “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,” set for release May 26.

The plunderers are reportedly demanding a large ransom to be paid in bitcoin, a digital currency, or else they’ll release the film in increments online. Disney, working with the FBI, refuses to pay up.

The Huffington Post has reached out to the company for comment but did not receive an immediate response.

The Disney hack does not appear to be related to the ransomware attack that crippled computers in 150 countries last week, demanding bitcoin ransom payments of $ 300 to $ 600. But it does resemble a recent incident involving Netflix, which led to a big “Orange Is the New Black” leak.

Late last month, hackers nabbed the upcoming season, set for release June 9, from the servers of a postproduction company used by Netflix and threatened to release it early unless an undisclosed ransom was paid. The streaming service refused, and episodes of “Orange” Season 5 are now available on torrenting sites. While that leak didn’t have much of an impact, making a blockbuster like “Pirates” freely available online could have an adverse effect on ticket sales.

Whether the two incidents were caused by the same hackers, however, is unknown.

‘New Girl’ Squeezes Out One More Season On Fox

It looks like the “New Girl” gang will be back at the loft for a few more months.

Variety reports that Fox has renewed the sitcom for a seventh and final season. According to sources, the season will consist of only eight episodes.

The series, which stars Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield, Lamorne Morris and Hannah Simone, started off strong when it premiered in 2011 but recently experienced a dip in the ratings. And at the end of the sixth season, some fans were wondering if the season finale would be the series finale.

Last month, on the eve of the final episode of Season 6, Johnson told HuffPost that he didn’t know what Fox had planned for “New Girl,” but that he hoped longtime fans would enjoy the way the series ends, whenever that might be.

“What I really in my heart believe, I just want the core fan base, the people who love the show, I want them to be happy. And I don’t actually know what that ending is,” he said, adding, “I just want this TV show to end in a way so that the people who have committed six years of their lives to it, who have cared about it — I don’t want to let them down.”

There are plenty of storylines to explore down the line with (spoiler alert!) CeCe and Schmidt’s baby news and the romantic way things ended for Jess and Nick. We’re also keeping our fingers crossed for one more “True American” drinking game.

Jenna Dewan Tatum Reveals She Dated Justin Timberlake After Britney Spears Breakup

Jenna Dewan Tatum and Justin Timberlake go way back. In fact, they even had a short-lived fling.

During an appearance on Sunday night’s episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” the “Step Up” star ― and former *NSYNC backup dancer ― confirmed that she and Timberlake dated just after the “Suit and Tie” singer’s highly publicized breakup with pop princess Britney Spears

“We were, like, friends that then dated and we’re just really good friends now,” Dewan Tatum explained, noting that she was definitely not the rebound.

“We’re still good friends. It’s not as salacious as everyone thinks,” she added.

However, Dewan Tatum’s connection to Timberlake was significant enough to be included in Lifetime’s terrible Spears biopic released earlier this year.

The film led us all to believe that JT and Spears had a tense dance-off in a club while Timberlake was at a club with Dewan Tatum a couple months after his split from the pop star. As much as we hoped there was some truth to Lifetime’s tale, “The World of Dance” host confirmed that, sadly,it never really happened.

“Okay, so this dance-off situation is … it never happened, people!” the actress told a viewer who phoned in to ask about the rumored incident. “It was in tabloids and everyone thought that this happened. And I really wish I could say that that happened because that would be the coolest story in the world. It would be so awesome. I wish I could say that, but no, it never happened.”

We really wish it happened, too.

American Parents Are Ditching The Name ‘Caitlyn’ In All Its Forms

A fun bit of news circulated across the internet on Friday: Kylo, like Kylo Ren, had become the hottest name for baby boys in America, according to new data released by the Social Security Administration.

Between 2015 and 2016, the name jumped from the 3,269th most popular name for baby boys to the 901st ― making it the name that increased the most in popularity, according to the SSA.

But on the other side of the spectrum, a far uglier trend emerged. Among the names for baby girls that dropped most in popularity, the top four were all some form of the name “Caitlyn.”

It’s not hard to connect the trend to Caitlyn Jenner’s decision to come out as transgender in April 2015. Three months later, in July, Jenner accepted the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPY Awards, which caused widespread anger among moderates and conservatives throughout the country.

(Later on, Jenner would anger many on the left-leaning side of the country as well by voting for then-candidate Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.)

Transgender rights have become one of the most divisive issues in the country in the two years since Jenner came out. In North Carolina, a “bathroom bill,” which required Americans to use the restroom corresponding to the sex on their birth certificate, was applauded as a way to keep young girls safe from transgender women.

But despite those fears, it is actually transgender Americans who continue to face staggering rates of abuse and sexual assault throughout the U.S. According to government estimates, at least half of the transgender community is “sexually abused or assaulted at some point in their lives.” Many more incidents are likely not reported.

Stephen Colbert Explains Why Trump’s Firing Of Comey Isn’t Really Like ‘The Godfather’

President Donald Trump’s firing of FBI director James Comey has been likened to a classic scene from “The Godfather.”

Following Comey’s dismissal on Tuesday, one senior intelligence official told NBC News that the “thuggish” and “humiliating” way in which his termination was carried out was like a “horse head in the bed.”

It was “designed to send a message,” the official added.

But on Friday’s “Late Show,” host Stephen Colbert explained why the comparison wasn’t actually that accurate ― and it’s all to do with one of Godfather Don Corleone’s favorite personality traits: respect.

Find out the reason in the clip above.

Rihanna Wore A Fur Coat Instead Of A Shirt, Because Of Course

There are some things only Rihanna can pull off. Things like head-to-toe lime green fringe, appropriately over-the-top Met Gala garb, and, as proven on Thursday, fur coats as shirts.

Our queen attended the Dior cruise collection show in Calabasas, California, wearing a belted fur coat with jeans, boots, a hat and nothing underneath.

Rih posed for photographers alongside Jaime King and Kelly Rowland, both of whom were both dressed in slightly less surprising garb.

Perhaps all of Rihanna’s shirts were in the laundry that day. Or maybe she’s the only girl still grappling with the shift in seasons.

Either way, she looks hot ― literally and figuratively ― in this look.

This Plunging Blue Number Is Amy Schumer’s Best Look Ever

No one needs to talk about Amy Schumer’s body. But we do need to talk about this dress.

Schumer attended the premiere of her upcoming film “Snatched” wearing a plunging navy and black dress with a revealing slit. To say it fit her like a glove would be an understatement:

The 35-year-old paired her sexy dress with strappy sandals and the most fun accessory of all, co-star Goldie Hawn.

Hawn looked lovely as well in a patterned cold-shoulder gown and statement earrings.

But we’re here to talk about Schumer, whose hair and makeup were also pretty magical. That tousled hair and smokey blue eye = perfection.

You knocked it out of the park with this one, Amy.

It’s Only Just Beginning (Again) For Harry Styles

Harry Styles has always wanted to stage-dive into a crowd.

Perhaps its a sign of the times that he just decided to go for it, at the tail end of an intimate iHeartRadio show at Rough Trade NYC ahead of his self-titled album’s Friday debut.

After the dive, it took Styles several minutes to emerge from the circle of fans that surrounded him to climb back over the barrier and onstage, leaving in his wake an epic story to be detailed and rehashed on Twitter, adding to the overwhelming narrative surrounding the musician days before his first solo release: Harry Styles is as big as ever, and he still knows how to surprise us — even when doing so means knocking into fans with his boots during that impromptu leap off the stage.

Some have been waiting to hear what Styles could do solo since his turn as a 16-year-old contestant on the British “X Factor” in 2010, where he met the four other young singers who would join him on a sky-high ascension as the boy band One Direction. “Sign of the Times,” the first single from Styles’ self-titled album, was a sweeping, decidedly un-boy-bandy statement on how he sounds when it’s just him.

A caveat that feels necessary: To praise Styles’ new sound is not to disparage his former group’s. Both this new guitar-heavy, occasionally Bowie-esque pop rock and the more danceable bubble-gum tunes that preceded it are worthy in their own right. (As are the One Direction men themselves; their 2011 acoustic version of “One Thing” should have been enough to convince you. Don’t @ me.)

Those who are surprised by Harry Styles’ stylings, or the deference he showed fans in his Rolling Stone cover story, or the fact that he wore a badge that said “treat people with kindness” during his “SNL” stint last month, shouldn’t be. There have been signposts along the way — his extremely pleasant tweets or the times he’s pointed out when something objectifies women, for example — that have hinted Styles was not your average pop superstar. Now that the spotlight’s on him, it’s easier to see than ever.

During the cozy iHeartRadio set on Monday, Styles performed for a small crowd of lucky fans. He admitted in a Q&A with Z100 host Maxwell, though, that he had been nervous about the kind of reception his solo efforts would get, and felt grateful for the positive reaction so far.

With his backing band to support him, Styles played “Ever Since New York,” which he had performed publicly only once before, on “SNL.” He told the crowd, who already knew the words by heart, that he’d written the tune just blocks away.

That song and one other, “Two Ghosts,” that he played for the first time in front of a crowd (“Well, I played it for my mum,” he clarified, “We played it for all our mums”) seem to speak of relationships gone sour. The uptempo “Carolina” hinges its chorus on Styles repeating “She’s a good girl!” while his bandmates chime in with boppy “la, la, la”s behind him.

After the stage dive, the show ended. The crowd mostly parted, with some fans sticking around in the hopes of snagging a selfie or other brief, validating connection with Styles on his way out of the venue. It would be an early day for him and his crew tomorrow on the “Today” show, where they’d be playing for several blocks of shouting fans on a brisk Manhattan morning. All in a day’s work for Styles, but still, in a way, just the beginning.

Tune in to your local iHeartRadio station, or Hot AC station, on Friday, May 12, at 7 p.m. for the broadcast of Harry Styles’ performance.

‘Psych’ TV Movie To Air On USA Network In December

Time to get psyched, “Psych” fans.

USA Network announced Monday that a movie version of its comedy mystery series “Psych” will premiere on the cable network in December.

Fake-psychic detective Shawn Spencer (James Roday) and pal Burton “Gus” Guster (Dulé Hill) are on the case for the first time since the series’ eighth and final season in 2014.

The plot for “Psych: The Movie” revolves around the show’s characters coming together during the holidays “after a mystery assailant targets one of their own,” the network wrote. It is due to begin production May 24, Variety reported.

“‘Psych’ is a beloved part of our USA family, and what better time to reunite with family than the holidays?” said Chris McCumber, the president of entertainment networks for NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment, in a release. The TV movie “successfully rekindles one of the greatest bromances in television history,” he added.

Other regular characters that will appear in the upcoming production are Lassiter (Timothy Omundson), Juliet (Maggie Lawson), Henry (Corbin Bernsen), and Chief Vick (Kirsten Nelson).

Nicki Minaj Offers To Pay Fans’ College Bills On Twitter

In one hour, Nicki Minaj committed to paying thousands of dollars to help more than a dozen students pay their bills.

After one fan asked the star for some assistance, Minaj launched an impromptu tuition-savings contest on Twitter late Saturday night.

Minaj was in the midst of tweeting about a contest in which she would fly the winner to hang out with her at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, when she got a response she likely didn’t expect.

The star was interested.

Within minutes, requests flooded her feed. Minaj responded to fans’ who asked for money to pay off loans and funds to afford books, housing and tuition. Minaj asked for proof that she could verify with various schools, so fans started tweeting copies of transcripts and bill statements.

Minaj ended the night about an hour later, saying she may make the same offer sometime in the future.

TMZ reported that as of Sunday, three fans confirmed they had received funds from Minaj.

Miley Cyrus Responds To Backlash Over Comments About Hip-Hop Music

Miley Cyrus took to social media Saturday to clarify controversial comments she made about rap and hip-hop music in a recent Billboard cover interview.

After talking to the magazine about her new music and her rekindled love for Liam Hemsworth, Cyrus said she “can’t listen to” rap music anymore.

“That’s what pushed me out of the hip-hop scene a little,” she continued. “It was too much ‘Lamborghini, got my Rolex, got a girl on my cock’ — I am so not that.”

People quickly responded online, criticizing Cyrus for the ease with which she could discard a genre that had demonstrably influenced and propelled her previous public persona.

“When articles are read it isn’t always considered that for hours I’ve spoken with a journalist about my life, where my heart is, my perspective at that time, and the next step in my career,” Cyrus began an Instagram caption posted Saturday. “Unfortunately only a portion of that interview made it to print.”

“To be clear, I respect ALL artists who speak their truth and appreciate ALL genres of music (country, pop, alternative … but in this particular interview I was asked about rap),” she continued. “I have always and will continue to love and celebrate hip hop as I’ve collaborated with some of the very best!”

It sounds like the singer’s intentions were good, but even with the added clarification, Cyrus doesn’t address the crux of much of the criticism — namely, how easily she felt she could don, and subsequently shed, sound and aesthetics borrowed from black culture and music.

During the time of her 2013 release, “Bangerz,” Cyrus capitalized on the rising trap scene to cement her transition from Disney teen to full-fledged adult singer.

As HuffPost’s Zeba Blay pointed out, “What’s incredibly telling is how, once she achieved that success, it seemed like the plan was always to discard hip-hop music and black culture like the costume that it was,” also noting “how convenient it is for her to call out hip-hop’s misogyny” after trafficking in those same tropes for earlier iterations of her act.

Last Words: Aja Reflects On Her Time On ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’

Throughout the ninth season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” Huffington Post Queer Voices will interview each departing queen on the Saturday following the air date of their elimination episode. Check HuffPost Queer Voices weekly to read about these queens’ reflections on their time on the show, as well as their legacies as queer artists and performers. Check out the previous interview with Jaymes MansfieldKimora BlacCharlie HidesEureka O’Hara and Cynthia Lee Fontaine.

Last night’s episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” was a bit of a shocker, with fan favorite Aja sent packing after a subpar performance during the group’s dragged-up recreation of ‘90s hit TV show ”90210” and a lip-sync against Nina Bobina Brown.

Aja seemed to let the competition get the best of her during the episode and had trouble getting out of her own head. However, her time on “Drag Race” definitely allowed the Brooklyn queen to showcase a number of her talents and continue to progress as a performer.

Plus: we also got to see her legendary lip-syncing, which seems to be relatively unmatched this season so far (aside, obviously, from her loss to Brown).

In this interview with The Huffington Post, Aja opens up about the things she learned during her time on “Drag Race” and what she wants to do with the platform that the show has now afforded her.

The Huffington Post: Let’s talk about the show in a broad sense first. Do you feel like you grew or changed at all during your time on “Drag Race”? What’s the biggest thing you feel like you learned about yourself?

Aja: I feel like I changed a lot during and post “Drag Race.” I learned a lot about the beauty standards in America and I also grew to learn to love myself more and kind of just appreciate my own appearances in and out of drag, regardless of what the beauty standards are. There was a lot of focus on the show on my makeup and skin and stuff like that, and it didn’t affect me negatively ― it kind of made me more confident about it.

Do you feel like you achieved everything you set out to achieve on the show?
I don’t want to say yes because everyone goes on the show and says “I want to win, I want to get top three” but in a sense I still feel like I accomplished my goal of even getting on the show. Although I may not have performed to the best of my ability, I did learn a lot. If anything, the most important part of the journey is the learning experience. I feel like I definitely did take a lot from that.

If you could do anything differently what would you do?
I think I would listen to my gut a little more and not be so impulsively rebellious. Because I think that were were a lot of moments on the show where I know I should’ve done something, such as the Snatch Game, where I really wanted to do Crystal LaBeija but then I was like, “I’m gonna do Alyssa Edwards instead.” There were a few little parts where I could’ve done something that was a little edgier or fun but out of fear I decided to play it safe and it just didn’t work out for me.

Thinking about Friday night’s episode, both you and Nina were clocked for having attitudes and then you went home after you lost to her during the lip-sync. How did you feel about that and Nina’s attitude in general throughout the course of the show?
You know, it’s easy for people on the outside to not really understand how we feel. And I get where Nina was coming from because I was in my head the whole time as well. So I don’t really hold anything against her, I just hope that we all walk off the show with a better head on our shoulders. So I was very happy for her that she got to stay. I mean, I was upset because who wouldn’t be upset getting kicked off the show! But that’s also just life.

You’ve also been recreating looks in different ways each week on Instagram and then reflecting on each episode in the caption. What are you trying to accomplish?
I kind of just wanted to give my followers a mini window without giving away too much about how I felt during the experience and what was running through my mind. Because a lot of times there are fans that watch the show and they only know what they see, and I was safe a lot of the show so there were a lot of times where the focus was only on who is in the top and who is in the bottom. So I really wanted to show the fans and the followers what was running through my head even if I wasn’t really featured on that episode.

What do you want to do with the platform that “Drag Race” has given you?
I think with the platform I obviously want to do things for myself such as work on my music and do short fashion films – stuff like that. But I also really want to go everywhere and just kind of be a voice for people and educate people on certain things.

Coming from Brooklyn we have this big thing about queer community and culture and I think it’s something that’s been fun to travel and educate people about. Like, not be extremely aggressive about it but just like softly teach people that there’s a lot more to drag and this culture that we’re in then meets the eye.

With “Drag Race” being on VH1 this season, do you see any important political implications of the show being on such a mainstream network at this specific moment in time?
Yes, I think this was the perfect season for a more mainstream audience because our season features, in my opinion, the most non-binary season we’ve ever had. We have people who are [gender] non-conforming and Peppermint, who is transgender ― just a lot of people who don’t identify as cisgender on this season. It was the perfect season to educate America on not just drag and not just the art but the different types of identities that are involved in our art form.

Out of everyone left in the competition who are you rooting for?
I’m kind of rooting for a bunch of them. I love Trinity and her sassiness. Sasha, of course, is my Brooklyn sis ― she’s amazing. I’m rooting for Valentina ― we might’ve had our little feud but she’s gorgeous and kind of crazy and I love that about her. There’s also Shea, gorgeous, amazing, a black fashion icon. She’s like the Grace Jones of drag – I could root for all of them, honestly. They’re all amazing.

What do you want people to understand and know about who Aja is going forward?
I just want people to realize that I’m not scared to be who I am. A lot of people think I’m a character but this is just who I am. I’ve always been this kind of kooky, crazy person and I’m not ashamed of it so I think anybody out there who is feeling like they need to hinder their personality, they should just let it shine because that is what has attracted people to me post-”Drag Race” the most is people getting to know who I really am.

Jennifer Lopez Relives That Time Leonardo DiCaprio Texted Her ‘Boo Boo’

Jennifer Lopez sort of thinks that text to Leonardo DiCaprio was a “boo boo.”

For those who don’t remember — and, really, how could you ever forget — while J.Lo was participating in one of James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” segments, the “Late Late Show” host took her phone and texted DiCaprio.

This wasn’t just any text. Corden, pretending he was Lopez, sent DiCaprio a message saying, “Hey baby, I’m kind of feeling like I need to cut loose. Any suggestions?,” signing the text, “J.Lo, you know, from the Block.”

It was all fun and games until DiCaprio texted back, “You mean tonight, Boo Boo? Club-wise?”

Lopez and Corden cracked up, and the internet lost its damn mind.

We thought the story ended there, but unknowingly, like Lopez’s song, we’ve been waiting for tonight.

On Corden’s show Thursday, Lopez finally revealed DiCaprio’s reaction to learning it was all a part of “Carpool Karaoke.” Apparently, he was cool about the whole thing.

“How mad did he get? Was he OK? asked Corden.

“No, he wasn’t mad at all,” said Lopez. She continued, “You know, I was afraid he would be mad when it all came out. He was so cool about it.”

If anyone was perturbed in the slightest by the bit, it should’ve been Lopez. The actress says she was embarrassed by the text and then surprised that DiCaprio actually thought it was her.

“He answered back like it was totally normal that I would speak that way to him. It was great,” she said.

So did J.Lo know DiCaprio called her “Boo Boo”?

“No, I guess he calls every girl ‘Boo Boo.’ I don’t know,” said Lopez.

Sure, Boo Boo. Sure you don’t.

You can relive the moment below:

“The Late Late Show with James Corden” airs weeknights at 12:37 a.m. on CBS.

Rachel Maddow Is ‘Comforted’ By Donald Trump’s ‘Incompetence’

President Donald Trump’s “incompetence” isn’t such a bad thing, according to Rachel Maddow.

On Tuesday’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” the MSNBC host said she was actually “comforted by the fact that [Trump] can’t do anything that he wants to do” ― despite the GOP also controlling both houses of Congress. But Maddow did says she’s “worried that he will figure it out.”

“I mean, it’s weird, it’s like the overall question is: Are you comforted by his incompetence?” she asked. “Would you rather have a competent person trying to do bad things or would you rather have an incompetent person trying to do bad things?”

Maddow also said leading Democrats needed to “re-discover their inner water skier” and allow themselves to be towed along by the boat that is the American people.

“Counting on the Democratic Party and its elected officials to sort of lead an election campaign against Trump, or to lead on policy stuff, or to lead people toward making Democratic choices hasn’t been working,” she said.

Those officials would “be unstoppable” if they took their cues from grassroots activists who have come to the fore in protests during the Trump administration, Maddow said.

J. K. Rowling Magically Trolls Donald Trump For Tweeting In The Third Person

J. K. Rowling just couldn’t resist.

The Harry Potter author gleefully mocked President Donald Trump after he tweeted the following message in the third person on Tuesday:

Here’s how Rowling responded:

Trump often refers to himself by his surname, rather than by using the words “me” and “I.”

It’s a habit that Harvard Medical School professor Elsa Ronningstam says people with “an exaggerated view of how great” they are sometimes use to make themselves appear even bigger.

Trump’s tweet and Rowling’s retort did not go unnoticed by other Twitter users, who seized on the posts to also poke fun at the president.

‘The Last Ship’ Halts Production Amid Eric Dane’s Battle With Depression

“The Last Ship” has halted production so lead actor Eric Dane can treat his depression, People reports.

“Eric asked for a break to deal with personal issues,” Dane’s rep said in a statement to outlets. “He suffers from depression and has asked for a few weeks of downtime and the producers kindly granted that request.”

Variety, citing an “insider,” noted that shooting for this summer’s fourth season has already wrapped ― but the hiatus is delaying production of the fifth season. The two seasons were being filmed back-to-back.

“He looks forward to returning,” the rep added, per Variety.

In the popular TNT series, Dane stars as the captain of a naval destroyer on a mission to save the world after a a global pandemic.

The 44-year-old actor, who previously starred on “Grey’s Anatomy,” has publicly dealt with personal issues before. He entered rehab for a painkiller addiction in 2011. Earlier, he weathered a scandal over a nude tape, in which he and wife Rebecca Gayheart appeared with another woman.

Val Kilmer Acknowledges Cancer Battle For First Time

Speculation surrounding Val Kilmer’s health has been circulating for about two years now, but the actor has mostly been quiet about the subject.

During a recent Reddit Ask Me Anything session, however, Kilmer addressed his health, admitting he had “a healing of cancer.”

A fan asked Kilmer about Michael Douglas’ 2016 comments that suggested the “Top Gun” star was battling cancer. At the time, Kilmer said Douglas was “misinformed.”

“What was the story behind that?” the Reddit user wrote.

“He was probably trying to help me cause press probably asked where I was these days, and I did have a healing of cancer, but my tongue is still swollen altho healing all the time,” Kilmer answered. “Because I don’t sound my normal self yet people think I may still be under the weather.”

Prior to this AMA, Kilmer had not publicly admitted he had cancer, though last November he was reportedly having trouble speaking while at an event promoting his one-man play “Citizen Twain.” During that event, he reportedly told the crowd his tongue was swollen and he was “still recovering,” but did not say from what.

Rumors about his health first surfaced in January 2015, when it was reported Kilmer had been hospitalized for bleeding from his throat. Outlets reported he underwent surgery for a throat tumor.

The actor continually denied any illness or surgery, though was spotted later that year with what appeared to be a tracheostomy tube around his neck. After that, he began covering his neck with scarves or bandanas while out in public, but still did not address his illness.

Will Ferrell Reprises His Role As George W. Bush For Samantha Bee

Will Ferrell slapped the suit back on Saturday to reprise his role of President George W. Bush at Samantha Bee’s “Not the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.”

Ferrell came out as Bush, brazenly smoked a cigarette and asked the crowd, “How do you like me now?”

The SNL alum spoke for about five minutes before showing his latest portrait: Donald Trump. Except there’s just not enough yellow and orange in the world.

Ferrell reminded us all that sometimes when we think things can’t get any worse, someone says, “Here, hold my beer.”

Peppermint Opens Up About Coming Out As Trans On ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’

On Friday night’s episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” New York City queen Peppermint finally had a moment that many fans of the show knew was coming: a discussion surrounding her trans identity and the way it relates to her drag persona.

It was a highly personal and vulnerable conversation for Peppermint, who has been open about being trans since the show premiered earlier this year. But deciding when to share this with her fellow competitors and coming out on national television is no easy task, and one that Peppermint put an immense amount of thought and emotional energy into prior to the filming the show last summer.

There have been contestants who have come out as trans during the course of a “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season in the past, like Monica Beverly Hillz, and those that have gone on to transition post-”Drag Race,” like Carmen Carrera or Gia Gunn. But Peppermint is the first queen to be vocal about her identity from the moment the list of queens competing on her season was announced.

In this interview with The Huffington Post, Peppermint opens up about how she decided to tell her fellow contestants about her trans identity, the relationship, for her, between being trans and drag performance, and advice she would give other trans and gender non-conforming queens considering competing on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” in the future.

The Huffington Post: First of all, congratulations for coming out on national television ― that’s a huge deal!

Peppermint: Thank you! I’ve actually been out for awhile but this is my first time speaking about it with this group of people, so I guess it’s a coming out! It’s a small and a big coming out at the same time.

Right ― it’s just more of a public coming out on this major platform. How did you approach sharing your trans identity going into “RuPaul’s Drag Race”?

Well, I think I took the same approach that I took in life, which was I didn’t necessarily have a Facebook announcement moment or like a “stop it all, everything changes” moment. I really just kind of wanted to become who I was supposed to be and continue to do what I was always meant to do – and I did! I just kind of morphed myself into a trans woman [laughs] and continued to kind of go about my daily life. The people who were in contact with me and in my life just kind of saw it in front of their eyes. So that was kind of my approach with the show.

I didn’t really want to come in and say, “hey everyone, I don’t know your names but I’ve got an announcement to make.” I just wanted to let me persona and my talent speak for themselves. And once I felt comfortable and established in the room and this group of people and knew that it was a safe space then I felt comfortable enough to share personal moments with them – including my trans experience.

You talked a little bit about this in the episode, but I would love to hear you talk more about the contention and distinction between trans identity and drag performance. Obviously you can’t speak for everybody when it comes to that but I’d love to hear your thoughts on what that relationship is like for you.

You know, it didn’t even occur to me until a certain time that there is a difference between drag and [being] trans. For me, for so long, just doing drag was me being able to express myself as a woman and make the choice to wear things that I felt were gorgeous and makeup and hair and all of that. And it wasn’t until much later and actually starting my transition that I realized that’s barely even what womanhood is about for all of those women. So once I wrapped my head around that I was kind of able to see the relationship between drag and trans in that, for me, the truth is that there’s a lot of wonderful places in great cities and groups of people and LGBT centers that are safe spaces for people of trans experience to kind of explore their identity and step into that realm. But, as we know, there are a lot of places that aren’t safe spaces and I think drag in most cities, at least in America, continues to be a safe space for someone to kind of experiment with gender expression – of course! Because that’s the name of the game for drag. And so that’s a really safe space for trans people to be able to kind of explore that. I think some trans people very quickly realize that performing in drag is not for them, and then some of us get hooked on it and want to do it every day!

But, as we know, there are a lot of places that aren’t safe spaces and I think drag in most cities, at least in America, continues to be a safe space for someone to kind of experiment with gender expression.

I think that this is definitely a dialogue that we engage in a lot within queer community. How do we help the larger world understand this really complicate relationship between these different shades of identity involving drag performance and trans identity.

I think the simplest way to put it is in the words of Monica Beverley Hillz who so bravely came out in season five of Drag Race, that “Drag is what I do and trans is who I am.” And I think that’s the simplest way to put it. I know that there’s a lot of nuances, just as there are in the human experience – there’s no one way to describe everyone. I think that’s what we should take away: there’s trans people who may have never set foot in a gay bar or been to a drag show. And there’s trans people who are drag queens and are at the gay bar every week ― just like there are gay men who never set foot in a gay bar. It’s really easy, especially when we’re talking about minorities, to kind of paint the entire community with one broad stroke and just say “all gay people are this” or “all trans people are that.” And this is primarily because we have very limited examples of who these people are in our media. So I think once we start to expand the different shades and shapes and sizes of the people in our queer community in media, then people will see that there are different types of trans people – some of whom are drag queens and some of whom are not. Drag is a job or career – it’s a way to make money, but it’s not necessarily the be all end all of a trans person’s existence.

Very well said and I would even argue that you’re embodying that possibility model by talking about this right now and that’s really powerful and I commend you for that. As a trans woman, how are you impacted by gendered terminology on the show? What are your thoughts surrounding that?

One step at a time is my thought. It would not be a bad thing if the producers and writers of the show decided that they wanted to carve out more space to expand and get a little more breathing room when it comes to terminology and words and definitions. I don’t necessarily think it is as crucial, specifically because I know that when I’m working as a drag performer, the definition and expectation is that you are a gender non-conforming person.

It’s really easy, especially when we’re talking about minorities, to kind of paint the entire community with one broad stroke and just say ‘all gay people are this’ or ‘all trans people are that.’ And this is primarily because we have very limited examples of who these people are in our media.

Did you ever feel the pressure to present in any certain type of way while out of drag when you were competing on the show?

Well, this is an extremely difficult, personal and very heavy kind of thought process for me. No, I didn’t feel any pressure directed at me from anyone else. I really had to address the pressure that I put on myself. What is a woman? What do I look like? What does my natural body say? And how do I feel about that? I’ve had to address that stuff throughout my life and I probably will again – this calls into question possibility. Do I really need to feel the pressure to sit in front of the mirror and put on a bunch of makeup and wear a whole bunch of jewelry, makeup and perfume just to go to the grocery store? What if I just wash my face and present my natural self – will people say that I’m a man? I mean that’s really a scary thing and a hard thing to deal with and accept for a lot of trans people. And a part of passing has to do with safety and not being targeted, and of course I felt safe I didn’t think I was going to be abused or anything. But the truth of the matter is an hour before I start getting into drag, I take a shower and I have short blonde hair, no makeup on and my body looks like one that most people would say, “oh that’s a man.” And I don’t like that but it’s the truth! And I have to deal with that. And so I wanted to go into each challenge as natural as possible, I didn’t want to have to put on a bunch of makeup and then take it off and put it back on again. And before the show I would wear hair as a trans woman every day ― my daytime hair. I have a daytime look which involves wigs and makeup and hair and I didn’t want to have to de-drag in order to drag again because then I would be at a disadvantage.

That’s extremely personal and I appreciate you sharing that. Finally, what would you want to say to any trans or GNC person that’s thinking about or going to compete on drag race in the future?

I think number one, absolutely do it. I think if you have faith that you are a stellar drag performer and you think you have a lot to offer to the world of drag and have already contributed to the world of drag, then I say “RuPaul’s Drag Race” is meant for you. Whether you see an example of yourself or not, you will be that person. So just do it! And I do think, kind of going back to the last question that you had, you may have to be really ready to shed a lot of the ― I don’t want to say security blanket ― but a lot of the things that you use to protect yourself in every day life when you’re going into a thing like “Drag Race.” And that’s not necessarily unique to a trans person or trans experience – I think every person who goes to “Drag Race” or any reality TV show has to be ready to be vulnerable or be exposed or be without their security blanket – whatever that is. And that includes people of trans experience.

Laverne Cox told me about an experience she had where she was traveling through the airport and was in a rush and she was misgendered by the airline personnel at the gate. And she had a choice to kind of either stay there and argue with the person so that they knew the right thing to say, or just keep it moving because she doesn’t have time and doesn’t want to miss her flight. And the truth is, whether I’m wearing hair or however I’m presenting, it doesn’t negate my womanhood.

I’ve always been a woman! And my womanhood is never at stake based on what someone says about how I look or how I present or whether you’re a drag queen or not or whether you’re transition or whether you have surgeries – none of that matters. Your womanhood or your manhood if you’re a trans man or whatever your gender identity – you’re born with it! That’s my belief. And even though it takes some people awhile to realize it and kind of come into their own, it’s always inside of you.

Blake Lively Trolls Ryan Reynolds With Her Undying Love For John Legend

All those years toiling away at the Constance Billard School for Girls among the Blair Waldorfs of the world have clearly paid off, because Blake Lively has mastered the art of the perfect burn. Her latest target? Husband and serial social media jokester Ryan Reynolds.

The “Deadpool” actor was named one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People this year among a list of honorees, including John Legend, who also scored one of the coveted magazine covers.

To celebrate, Legend, Reynolds and their wives, Chrissy Teigen and Lively, gathered for a gala event with the other 98 honorees on Tuesday night. And that’s where things got interesting.

The “Love Me Now” singer was tapped to perform some of his hits to close out the night, and if you’ve ever heard Legend live before, you know that he’s essentially irresistible to anyone with a pulse in his 50-foot vicinity.

Lively apparently got a little too close to the magic as she later jokingly shared a photo of her new crush to let Reynolds know he has some competition.

“Congratulations to the most influential person in my life. The best man I know… you deserve this @time 100 honor,” she captioned a photo of Reynolds standing in front of Legend onstage. “If only my husband wasn’t blocking you in this shot. I’m so sorry @johnlegend.”

What can we say? She learned from the best.

Caitlyn Jenner On Trump, Kendall’s Pepsi Ad, Her Beef With Ellen And Being Catcalled

Caitlyn Jenner is currently in the middle of a massive publicity tour for her new tell-air memoir, The Secrets Of My Life, which hit stores Tuesday.

After catching up with Diane Sawyer on Friday ― almost exactly two years after she came out as transgender on ABC’s “20/20” ― Jenner made stops at “Good Morning America,” Fox News and “Live With Kelly.” And on Tuesday she dropped by HuffPost for an in depth, nearly hour-long interview.

The 67-year-old Olympian and reality TV star was in high spirits and opened up about a wide range of topics, from President Donald Trump to Kendall’s controversial Pepsi ad to her beef with Ellen DeGeneres, as well as her thoughts on womanhood and being catcalled.

On Trump and reconciling her identity as a Republican with her identity as a member of the transgender community:

“What I’d say to Donald Trump is, “Be true to yourself.” You said during the whole campaign — and actually I did talk to him during the campaign on the phone about transgender issues and the entire LGBT community — and he was nothing but in support. He was great on the phone and I complimented him… I thought we might be OK here. But it turned around for me when the whole Title IX thing went down…”

On Kim Kardashian being the first of her children she told about being trans and what Kim taught her about being a woman:

“Kim is so curious, so openminded. She goes, ‘What the hell is going on with you?’… Eventually, years down the line [after I initially came out to Kim], I decided, OK, I’m finally at a point in my life where my kids are all grown, it’s time for me, I have to live my life authentically, and I told Kim, I said, ‘I’m doing it,’ and her reaction was ‘Well then, girl, you’d better rock it! If you’re going to do this, you can’t go out and let the paparazzi get a picture of you just absolutely disheveled…’”

On Kendall Jenner’s controversial Pepsi ad:

“Honestly I felt very sorry for Kendall. It’s kind of like, sometimes, ‘welcome to the real world.’ We live in a very tough political environment, social environment. You have massive amounts of media looking for a story and obviously some people were looking at that commercial very differently than the way I was looking at it. I get that. And Kendall gets that too. She didn’t mean any malice. She goes, ‘I’m just a model that was hired for a job to go in there and do this…’”

On her feelings about Ellen DeGeneres, after claiming in her memoir that her appearance on the comedian’s show and DeGeneres’ subsequent actions “further alienated [her] from members of the LGBTQ community”:

“I don’t hold a grudge against nobody. Would I do the show again? Ehh… I don’t know. Maybe it’d be good to do the show just to get it out with Ellen. I’d rather do it in private over dinner. I really don’t want to do it publicly. I just was hurt by that — especially because that was at the beginning…”

On womanhood and being catcalled:

“Yesterday we were walking over to Tavern On The Green… and some guy — it was like the construction worker guy — starts yelling at me… he was yelling some rude remark that you’d say to some woman. And I just started laughing because I didn’t grow up like that, as a woman who got all of that stuff. It was just kind of funny. It happens all the time — that’s what women go through. Courtney, my hairstylist, was with me and she goes [dismissively waves] ‘yeah…’ She’s used to that. She’s had all that yelling at but I haven’t. So, yeah, there are a lot of things in life ― of womanhood ― that I did not experience… I’ll always consider myself a trans woman because I missed a lot of stuff. And trans women are good!”

Tom Hardy Is Now A Real Action Hero After Reportedly Stopping Thief

Maybe Tom Hardy isn’t acting that much after all.

The action star became a real-life hero recently after reportedly helping to thwart a crime. According to BBC News, police said Hardy apprehended a man on Sunday who had allegedly stolen a motorbike in London.

The story goes that Hardy got involved after two teenagers crashed a stolen bike into a car in Richmond, south-west London. The alleged thieves tried to take off, but Hardy supposedly tracked one down. (You can’t outrun the guy who starred in “Mad Max”). The other was arrested by police.

A Richmond Police spokesman confirmed to BBC that two 16-year-olds were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, and that Tom Hardy was involved in their detainment:

“We can confirm that there were two people on a stolen moped that went through a red light and crashed into another vehicle.

“The males ran off and one was detained by Tom Hardy.

“Both suspects were initially taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.”

A Metropolitan Police spokesman later clarified the stolen vehicle was a motorbike and that members of the public detained the rider.

The incident may have been even crazier. The Sun and Vanity Fair published quotes from one reported witness, who described Hardy as “mental – like he’d switched to superhero.”

According to this witness, Hardy’s route to catch the criminal was like “an assault course.” The action star supposedly even “vaulted walls.”

And that’s why Hardy is the “Bane” of criminals everywhere.

Tom Hardy’s reps have yet to comment on the incident to HuffPost.

Here’s What Dustin Hoffman Has To Say About Famous ‘I’m Walkin’ Here!’ Line

Dustin Hoffman and filmmaker Noah Baumbach met up at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival Monday to discuss the latter’s career and throw in some tidbits about their upcoming film, “The Meyerowitz Stories.” But, inevitably, some flashbacks to the actor’s time on camera snuck in.

During a Q&A session at the end of their conversation, an audience member told Hoffman that he was a big fan of the actor’s iconic “I’m walkin’ here!” scene alongside Jon Voight in 1969’s “Midnight Cowboy.” A quick refresher: Voight and Hoffman are crossing a New York City street when a cab nearly hits the actors. Hoffman delivers his famous line and serves up a few choice knocks on the cab’s hood.

The best part? It was all a result of Hoffman’s quick thinking.

During the Tribeca Talk, Hoffman explained that he and Voight were doing many takes of the scene, trying to time it just right so they wouldn’t have to wait for a light at the crosswalk.

“We finally get it at the — whatever it is — 50th take, and we’re so happy, we can feel it, at this point in the dialogue, Jon and I. We’re at the corner, and it turns green, and we’re able to keep walking, and a fucking cab has hit us,” Hoffman explained, pausing for the crowd’s laughter.

“The truth is, this is the way the brain works: What was in my head was, ‘We’re makin’ a movie here!’ And then just as I’m about to say that, I realize, ‘Oh, you can’t do that,’ the brain changes it to, ‘I’m walkin’ here!’ What was really being said, for me, was, ‘We’re shooting here!’”

And thus movie history — and the enduring indifference of New York taxicabs — was solidified.

Amber Heard And Elon Musk Make Their Romance Insta-Official

Actress Amber Heard and billionaire Elon Musk have taken their relationship to the next level ― showing off their togetherness on Instagram.

On Sunday, the two both posted photos of a cozy moment ― complete with cutesy captions ― at restaurant Moo Moo on the Gold Coast of Australia.

Her arm cradled on Musk’s shoulder and a lipstick kiss clearly visible on his left cheek, Heard went with a one-word punchline: “Cheeky.”

Heard is reportedly in Australia to film “Aquaman.” The two were spotted earlier in the day ziplining and walking arm-in-arm at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, People noted.

Last summer the two were already reportedly “hanging out,” but perhaps their social media sharing confirmed that the romance is more than just that.

Heard’s nasty divorce from Johnny Depp became final in January while Musk, the Tesla co-founder who has five children (another died at 10 weeks old in 2002), reportedly settled his divorce from Talulah Riley in 2016, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

Correction: The article previously said that Musk had a child who died at 10 months old. The correct age was 10 weeks.

‘Happy Days’ Star Erin Moran Dead At 56

LOS ANGELES (Variety.com) – Erin Moran, best known for playing Joanie Cunningham on the 1970s sitcom “Happy Days,” has died. She was 56.

According to TMZ, Moran’s body was found unresponsive Saturday afternoon by authorities in Indiana. The cause of death is unknown.

The California-born actress, who also starred in the “Happy Days” spinoff “Joanie Loves Chachi,” had fallen on hard times in recent years. She was reportedly kicked out of her trailer park home in Indiana because of her hard-partying ways.

Henry Winkler, who starred opposite Moran as The Fonz in CBS’ iconic series, tweeted: “OH Erin…now you will finally have the peace you wanted so badly here on earth. Rest In It serenely now…too soon.”

Moran was just 14 when she signed on to play Ron Howard’s sister in the family comedy, which aired from 1974 to 1984.

“What happened with all of us was like we were this family,” Moran said in a 2009 interview with Xfinity. “It was so surreal with all the cast members…They were my family, get it?”

The actress, however, apparently wasn’t as happy about appearing in “Joanie Loves Chachi,” the short-lived sitcom spin-off which co-starred Scott Baio.

“I liked working with the people. But I didn’t even want to do it. I was talked into it,” she said. “I wanted to stay on ‘Happy Days.’ They were running them at the same time.”

“Joanie Loves Chachi” only lasted one season (1982-83) before it was pulled off the air.

Moran’s TV credits also included “The Love Boat,” “Murder, She Wrote” and “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

She most recently appeared on VH1’s reality show “Celebrity Fit Club” in 2008 and low-budget film “Not Another B Movie” 2010.

In 2012, Moran and some of her “Happy Days” co-stars — Anson Williams, Marion Ross, Don Most and the widow of Tom Bosley – filed a $ 10 million lawsuit against CBS, claiming they never received merchandise royalties they were owed under their contracts. The case was later settled out of court. Neither Henry Winkler nor Ron Howard were part of the lawsuit.

Most said in a statement, “I am so incredibly sad to hear about Erin. She was a wonderful, sweet, caring, talented woman. As I write this I can’t really comprehend this right now. A very painful loss. It gives me some comfort to know that she’s with Tom, Al, Pat and Garry. Rest In Peace, sweetErin.”

Williams, who played Potsie in “Happy Days,” said, “Erin was a person who made everyone around her feel better. She truly cared about others first, a true angel. I will miss her so much, but know that she is in God’s hands. RIP sweet angel.”

Tyga Spotted Stepping Out With Justin Bieber’s Old Flame In West Hollywood

It’s only been a few weeks since Tyga and Kylie Jenner reportedly “took a break” from their relationship — again — but the rapper already seems to seeking some comfort elsewhere. He was caught Thursday night in photos published by TMZ stepping out with onetime Justin Bieber date Jordan Ozuna at a West Hollywood restaurant.

Tyga hasn’t said a word so far, but Ozuna jumped on Twitter Friday to insist the two are not dating.

Some people on Twitter didn’t seem to be buying it:

Tyga, 27, and Jenner, 19, began dating in 2014 and took their first break a year later. They last hit a rough patch when Jenner’s brother Rob Kardashian started dating Tyga’s ex Blac Chyna (and the two later became parents to Dream Kardashian).

Tyga and Jenner haven’t been photographed together since March. Both partied separately at Coachella.

The reality show makeup queen, however, did post a Snapchat video early this month lip-syncing to Tyga’s new single “Act Ghetto,” which includes the lyrics: “Gettin’ checks like Kylie / Yeah, every day I do it.”

But just before the TMZ shots emerged, an Instagram fan account posted a Snap of her in bed, declaring: “Haven’t left this position in 25 hours.”

Stay tuned.

You Can Soon Buy Tickets To The ‘Mean Girls’ Musical, You Pathetic Loser

Good news, people who were in high school in 2004 and still feel like they are in high school in 2017.

“Mean Girls,” Tina Fey’s classic comedy exploring the many creative ways young women torture one another to rise up on the food chain of popularity, is headed to Broadway.

But first, it’s stopping in D.C.

What is the 411? Tickets to #MeanGirlsDC go on sale on FRIDAY, APRIL 28! Sign up and we'll remind you. Link in bio.

A post shared by Mean Girls Broadway (@meangirlsbway) on

On April 28, tickets go on sale for the world premiere of the highly anticipated musical adaptation, which follows fresh blood Cady Heron who, after starting at a new school in Illinois, is seemingly adopted by a trio of popular girls called The Plastics. Spoiler alert: they aren’t very nice.

The Broadway plot description sounds pretty familiar:

After years of living with her zoologist parents in Africa, Cady Heron moves to Illinois and must find where she fits in the social hierarchy. A sweet, naive newbie, Cady quickly attracts the attention of The Plastics, a trio of popular frenemies led by the vicious and calculating Regina George. When Cady devises a plan to end Regina’s reign, she learns that you can’t cross a Queen Bee without getting stung.

Thankfully, Fey herself adapted the “Mean Girls” screenplay for the stage, so it’s probably sticking true to the original. Jeff Richmond, the Emmy-winning composer with TV credits like “30 Rock” and “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” under his belt (who’s also Fey’s husband), wrote the music, with lyrics by Tony Award nominee Nell Benjamin.

Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw is directing and choreographing the show. Lorne Michaels is co-producing, because of course he is.

“Mean Girls” will premiere at the National Theatre in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 31, and travel to Broadway soon
