Amber Heard, Lucy Boynton Attend Valentino Show

SECRET GARDEN: The skies stayed clear for a pre-show cocktail in the garden of the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild for guests attending the Valentino couture show on Wednesday, as the final show of the week.
Bathed in a golden light, Christian Louboutin caught up with singer Mika, while Italian director Luca Guadagnino played chaperone to actress Alba Rohrwacher.
Guadagnino said he’s hoping to premiere his remake of Dario Argento’s “Suspiria,” which he has almost completed, at the Venice Film Festival at the end of the summer. “Fingers crossed,” said the director, who is also producing a film called “Born to be Murdered.” “It’s a manhunt thriller — I’m going through my dark phase,” he quipped.
Amber Heard had brought her mother, Paige Parsons, along for the event. The pair joined Tracee Ellis Ross on the lawn by a statue of a deer for a glass of champagne.
“I love that they chose to have the reception outside so you get to experience the Parisian summer,” said Heard, who has just wrapped filming Alex Ross Perry’s “Her Smell” in New York. She stars opposite Elisabeth Moss “and a bunch of really great girls.”
“The cast is almost entirely female, which I loved,” added Heard, who is

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Attend Invictus Event, Concert for Queen

OUT AND ABOUT: With less than a month to go before their wedding, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been dashing around London for official — and personal — engagements. On Saturday night, they celebrated Queen Elizabeth II’s 92nd birthday with a concert at Royal Albert Hall where Kylie Minogue, Sting, Tom Jones and Shaggy performed for the monarch.
Among the guests was Prince William, who is set to become a father for the third time when the Duchess of Cambridge gives birth later this month. The heavily-pregnant Kate Middleton wasn’t there so it was Markle who flew the fashion flag, donning a  midnight blue Stella McCartney cape dress, and carrying a Naeem Khan clutch.

Alice Taglioni, Anthony Delon Attend Elie Saab’s Fall 2018 Show

SIBLING SCENE: He may be focused on peddling high end biker jackets these days, but Anthony Delon turned out to check out the ball gowns at Elie Saab. Sitting next to his sister Anouchka Delon, he wore a perfecto from his new line, one of the hand-scratched models.
The pair weren’t the only non-regulars in the front row — Alice Taglioni, too, is not often on the runway scene.
“It’s my first fashion show in a long time,” she said. She was on the lookout for potential red-carpet attire; the actress has been working on a movie directed by Julie Bertuccellli, playing Catherine Deneuve in her thirties.
The contingency of regulars included Anna Dello Russo, covered in black feathers to the tip of her hat, and Lena Perminova, on her fourth show.

James Franco Is Calling Exes, Plans to Attend SAG Awards in Wake of Accusations

James Franco is digging into his past in the wake of allegations of sexually inappropriate behavior.

“James has been reaching out to former girlfriends for the past month asking about his behavior,” a source tells PEOPLE. “He’s known this was coming and was trying to get ahead of the story.”

Following news of the allegations, Franco, 39, took a step back from the spotlight — even skipping the Critics Choice Awards last week where he won the Best Actor honor for his role in The Disaster Artist.

But despite being a no-show, Franco is still set to attend the Screen Actors Guild Awards this weekend, where he is nominated for Best Actor.

“There is no reason to believe that he won’t be there,” says a source close to Franco.

During a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the actor addressed the sexual harassment allegations issued by a number of women on Twitter after wearing a Time’s Up pin at the Golden Globe Awards.

“There are people that need to be heard,” the actor told Meyers. “I have my own side of this story, but I believe in these people that have been underrepresented getting their stories out enough that I will hold back things that I could say, just because I believe in it that much,” he said. “So if I have to take a knock because I’m not going to try and actively refute things, then I will, because I believe in it that much.”

In an article published in the Los Angeles Times on Jan. 11, five women accused the actor of abusing his power as an acting teacher and mentor in a sexually exploitative manner. In it, two students claimed the actor would often become angry on set when they would refuse to film topless while another former acting student at the film school Franco founded said he once removed safety guards while filming an oral sex scene on the set of the 2015 film The Long Home.

Additionally, actress Violet Paley recounted her previous social media claims that Franco exposed himself and tried to pressure her into oral sex. Though she said they had a consensual relationship, Paley said: “that time wasn’t consensual.” She also alleged that he told her friend to meet him in a hotel when the friend was 17.

Franco’s attorney, Michael Plonsker, denied each of the women’s allegations, and cited Franco’s comments on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday as his formal denial.

“Look, in my life I pride myself on taking responsibility for things that I have done,” Franco told Colbert. “I have to do that to maintain my well being. The things that I heard that were on Twitter are not accurate. But I completely support people coming out and being able to have a voice because they didn’t have a voice for so long. So I don’t want to shut them down in any way.”

Charlize Theron, Brie Larson Attend Porter’s Incredible Women Gala 2017

Porter, Net-a-porter’s print magazine, on Wednesday held its second annual Incredible Women Gala at NeueHouse West Hollywood, in association with Estée Lauder. Hosted by editor in chief Lucy Yeomans and Universal chairman Donna Langley, the event drew Charlize Theron, Brie Larson, Elizabeth Banks, Mary J. Blige, Melanie Griffith, Raquel Welch, Kate Bosworth and more.
The Incredible Women list, now in its third year, grew out of a cover line on Porter’s first issue. It has since spawned a talk series that began with Christy Turlington Burns in 2014 and has included American Ballet Theater principal dancer Misty Copeland, film director Sofia Coppola and Serpentine chief executive officer Yana Peel. The first gala was held last year in London at the V&A Museum.
Partnering with Langley, who was profiled in the magazine in the past, made sense since this year’s list of 50 women was focused on the entertainment industry. The timing of this year’s gala comes when women in the industry have banded together in support of speaking out against sexual harassment. The magazine commissioned women including Copeland, Larson and the organizers of the Women’s March, Tamika Mallory and Bob Bland, to write open letters touching upon crucial issues facing women in

8 Healthy Habits Of Couples Who Attend Marriage Therapy

Marriage therapy isn’t just for couples in dire straits. In fact, therapists say that going early on ― and continuing to go ― can help spouses stay happy and in love.

What healthy habits do couples who attend therapy practice? Below, eight tips from married folks who swear by marriage therapy.

1. Recognize when you’re telling a “story.”

“The first time we went to therapy as an engaged couple, I perched on the couch and eagerly told my side of events in one fell swoop. Then I sat back and waited for the therapist to respond, which basically just meant I wanted her to side with me. Sometimes we tell ourselves stories that may or may not be accurate because we want things to be or sound a certain way. We want to be viewed as the main character (aka the most important one). The thing is, in a healthy relationship, both people are equally important and both sides of a story matter. These days, I try really hard to notice when I’m building a narrative and make sure it aligns with what’s real. I recognize that my husband’s ‘story’ may be as legitimate as my own.” ― Julia Dellitt, a writer, editor and yoga teacher

2. Listen more than you talk.

“I am a talker. Therapy has taught me and my husband to listen more than talk. Active listening helps us to feel heard and understood. This is a practice we use everyday. We strive to listen, be attentive and validate feelings. After we both settle down we are able to work on the root issues and make a plan. It builds more trust.” ―Mikki Bey Crawford, writer at Dope Elope

3. Create couple time, even if it means waking up earlier.

“Through [going to therapy with my wife], I’ve learned that date nights and scheduled time together creates structure and improves emotional engagement. More importantly, it builds a sense of togetherness. One of my favorites? Wake up ten minutes early in the morning to connect ― cuddle with each other. Whether it leads to sex or not, the morning sets an atmosphere for a loving day.” ― Moshe Ratson, a marriage and family therapist in New York City

4. Don’t assume you know everything about your partner.

“My husband and I have been together five years now and sometimes it’s tempting to assume I know everything there is to know about him ― which isn’t true ― especially when it comes to conflict. I remember going to therapy once and thinking, ‘Oh, this is what he’s going to say and I bet he wants to handle it this way.’ Then the conversation started and I realized I was way off, because he is his own person with his own thoughts and feelings. Remember to be open minded and give your partner space to be a nuanced individual, for better or worse.” ― Julia Dellitt

5. Give up the right to be right.

“I feel I am usually right, although I sometimes let my husband think he is. While the truth is probably somewhere in the middle of us, we have learned not to allow the need to assert our ‘rightness’ get in the way of loving each other. Who cares who is right?” ―Mikki Bey Crawford

6. Call a timeout if things are getting too intense.

“This is a ground rule to avoid escalation. If for whatever reason a discussion or disagreement escalates to a high degree and you feel overwhelmed, you have the right to ask for a ‘timeout.’ Feel free to say, ‘this isn’t a good time, I feel overwhelmed and need a break.’ But be sure to reschedule time to talk about the subject within 24-48 hours.”  ― Moshe Ratson

7. You can be honest now or honest later but eventually, you have to tell the truth if you want to move on.

“I’m a people-pleaser at heart, so in relationships I frequently feel the need to hide information. Why? I want everyone to like me. I quickly learned in therapy there’s no other path forward but an honest one. You’re actually wasting time and money if you show up to a counseling session without being willing to share your truth. There’s no need to be bluntly honest 24/7, but when you’re having an issue with the person you love, it’s better to deal with it sooner or later. Addressing the problem immediately in a compassionate way, rather than procrastinating a conversation, is the fastest way to start getting back on track.”― Julia Dellitt

8. When all else fails, give each other hug or a kiss.

“Therapy has emphasized the importance of physical touch our marriage. It is healing. When all else fails kiss. It works like a charm.” ― Mikki Bey Crawford

Jessica Alba, Rebecca Gayheart Attend Oliver Peoples’ 30th-Anniversary Bash

It’s been 30 years since Oliver Peoples burst onto the California eyewear scene, and the Los Angeles-based luxury brand, now owned by Luxottica, celebrated the milestone with a party at Chateau Marmont’s Bungalow One last weekend that drew Jessica Alba, Rebecca Gayheart and Brandon Thomas Lee, plus the faces of its latest campaign lensed by Peter Lindbergh, Levi Dylan and Monika Jagaciak.
“When conceptualizing the campaign and story surrounding this milestone year for Oliver Peoples, my mind went back to the beginning. When Oliver Peoples was founded in 1987, the brand challenged the ostentatious eyewear trends of the era with its decidedly classic aesthetic. This was around the same time Peter Lindbergh was rising on the scene and changing fashion’s view of beauty through his raw and minimalist photography. I’ve been a fan of Peter’s work since those early years and jumped at the chance to work with him for Oliver Peoples’ 30th anniversary campaign,” said OP creative director Giampiero Tagliaferri.
Guests got a preview of the black-and-white campaign images, which are set to break this week.

British Royal Family Members Attend War Memorial Unveiling in London

WAR MEMORIAL: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined Prince Harry, Queen Elizabeth, the Duke of Edinburgh and Prince Charles at the unveiling ceremony of the Iraq and Afghanistan War Memorial in London on Thursday.
The memorial, a sculpture at Victoria Embankment Gardens, near the Thames, honors the soldiers who served Britain during the Gulf War and the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Guests at the service that followed at Horse Guards Parade included senior members of government, military veterans and their families, politicians and civil servants.
The Iraq and Afghanistan Memorial was created by the sculptor Paul Day and designed with two copper medallions — representing Iraq and Afghanistan — which sit in the middle of two large stones.
The Duchess of Cambridge wore an indigo twill swing coat from Michael Kors Collection and a navy hat. A fan of recycling her outfits, she had already donned the coat for a visit to the Anzac Day ceremonies during the royal tour in Australia in 2014.

After Ban, Syrian Refugee Will Get To Attend The Oscars For Nominated Documentary

A Syrian refugee featured in an Oscar-nominated documentary short will be able to attend the Hollywood ceremony after all.

The film, “Watani: My Homeland,” chronicles the perilous story of one family’s decision to leave their home in Syria for a Turkish refugee camp and, eventually, Germany. An executive order signed by President Trump prevented all Syrian refugees from entering the U.S. for 120 days, but the ban is currently on hold.

Hala Kamil fled Aleppo with her four children after her husband, Abu Ali Slaibeh, was captured by militants from the self-titled Islamic State in late 2013. Filmmaker Marcel Mettelsiefen previously told The Huffington Post he began meeting with the family before Slaibeh’s capture, making over 25 trips to Syria in total to document the family’s struggle and eventual admittance to Germany.

Kamil’s husband is presumed dead. In different times, the couple used to watch the Oscars together.

“Abu Ali and I would stay up late every year to watch the Oscars live on television. Sipping coffee together as we always did, we’d try to recall the names of all the famous actors and actresses as they graced the red carpet, in complete awe of this huge event,” Kamil said in a statement obtained by The Huffington Post about the news that she’d be able to attend the ceremony.

Although she feels “incredibly proud and happy” about representing the film, Kamil called the news “bittersweet.” She hopes attending the Oscars can help her spread a peaceful message about refugees from all over the world, and particularly Syria, “a country that has been burnt alive.”

“All this destruction and displacement needs the concerted effort of the whole world working together, to help these people back to their roots, the roots they hold so dear,” she wrote. “We need people to understand that we are not terrorists despite what the media and the politicians might say, all we are is human.”

In August, Kamil appeared at the United Nations in New York alongside celebrities including Natalie Dormer to highlight the plight of refugees worldwide. Her children, Hammoudi, Helen, Farah and Sara, joined her onstage.

In a video filmed in Germany late last year, Kamil worried she might never see Aleppo again.

“I miss my family, I miss my home, I miss my garden,” she said. “I want sometimes to be in my garden to drink coffee with my husband. But now, I lost this dream.”

The Oscars will air Sunday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m. ET on ABC.

Clotilde Courau, Elisa Sednaoui Attend Alberta Ferretti Pre-Fall, Limited Show

WOMAN POWER: Alberta Ferretti has often said that she designs with a strong and independent woman in mind and two of the guests at her pre-fall and Limited demi-couture shows spoke of empowering women. Actress Clotilde Courau said she is playing Giselle Halimi in a movie out in the spring. Elisa Sednaoui was eager to talk about her namesake foundation, which she created three years ago and which Ferretti supports. “Our aim is to facilitate creativity in young people, whether in the arts, gardening or acting — all to improve one’s self-esteem so that they will grow within their community and be able to make their life-changing choices. Art is a means to this end,” she explained. Sednaoui is now working on a fund-raising event that will be held in Milan on March 28.

“It’s amazing. I can’t believe they’ve managed to fill a space this size, and it’s still intimate,” marveled Mads Mikkelsen surveying the venue, strewn with apocalyptic Anselm Kiefer concrete towers. “I just thought it was something from Pisa, they’re kind of at an angle,” he said. The actor, who recently wrapped promoting “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” said he was looking forward to taking a break. “Vacation for me is being at home, as I’m never home, so that would be Denmark.” Skal!

Obamas Attend Christmas Benefit Concert For Children’s National Health System

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obamas got into the holiday spirit Sunday evening with a little help from Hugh Jackman, Sheryl Crow and Janelle Monae.

President Barack Obama and his family attended the 32nd annual “Christmas in Washington” concert, a benefit for the Children’s National Health System. After an evening of Christmas carols at the National Building Museum, the president said Americans should remember Jesus Christ’s lessons of charity and compassion.

“Through his example, he taught us that we should love the Lord, love our neighbors, as we love ourselves. It’s a teaching that has endured for generations. And today, it lies at the heart of my faith and that of millions of Americans, and billions around the globe,” Obama said.

“No matter who we are, or where we come from, or how we worship, it’s a message of hope and devotion that can unite all of us this holiday season,” he added.

Before the concert began, the president, his wife, Michelle, and daughters, Sasha and Malia, helped collect presents for patients at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington. Mrs. Obama’s mother, Marian Robinson, watched from nearby.

The Obamas met five of the hospital’s young patients, who were dressed as elves.

“Hey, you guys, you going to help us?” Mrs. Obama asked.

“Good job, elves,” the president said. “Nice job.”

Jackman, who hosted the concert, also urged the audience to remember those less fortunate.

“It is the season of compassion. Let us not forget those who are down and out, who are suffering and who have little hope: the Washington Redskins fans,” Jackman said. “I can say it, I’m a Giants fan.”

The Redskins lost to the Atlanta Falcons earlier Sunday and fell to 3-11 for the season. The New York Giants also lost, though, getting shut out by the Seattle Seahawks as their record fell to 5-9.

Other performers at the concert included the Backstreet Boys, Anna Kendrick and Pat Monahan, the singer from the band Train. Retired NBA star Charles Barkley also was on hand to talk about programs at Children’s National.

The concert will be broadcast Friday evening on TNT.
