TV Review: ‘I Feel Bad’

“Here’s what every woman knows,” Sarayu Blue says in a voice-over kicking off her new sitcom “I Feel Bad.” “We feel bad about something almost every day.” The show, airing a preview episode Sept. 19 before settling into a Thursday-night timeslot, sets its tone early—it differentiates Blue’s Emet from other sitcom moms by her vulnerable […]

Here’s What Demi Lovato Does When She Has ‘Bad Body Image Issue Days’

Demi Lovato is a body positive hero, even when she’s having an off day.

The mental health advocate and constant truth-teller delivered some words of self-love wisdom on Twitter Tuesday. Lovato, who has been open about her struggles with anorexia and bulimia, wrote that whenever she is having a bad body image day, she gives herself an eye-opening reminder.

“I’d rather live in freedom from my eating disorder than worry about what people think about my body,” she wrote. “I am more than a number and a jean size. Fuck yeah!”

Yeah is right. Having a bad day is totally normal, but it’s so easy to lose sight of the fact that things could be much worse. You don’t need to have struggled with an eating disorder to appreciate the fact that your health and happiness mean so much more than what other people think about you.

Lovato constantly uses her platform to remind us that we’re perfect as is. Just a few days earlier, following the release of Kendrick Lamar’s polarizing ode to stretch marks, she celebrated being “totally cool with” her own.

BRB, bookmarking Lovato’s Twitter feed for the next time we need a refresher in what honest self-love looks like.

Demi Lovato Reveals the Key to Surviving ‘Bad Body Image Issue Days’

Demi Lovato has been an outspoken advocate for body confidence after her years of battling an eating disorder. And though the 24-year-old star recently said she’s “feeling better than I’ve ever felt,” even she has her down days.

So what does the “Cool for the Summer” singer do to stay “Confident“?

Lovato revealed her no. 1 tip on Twitter Tuesday night.

“Sometimes when I’m having bad body image issue days, I remind myself that I’d rather live in freedom from my eating disorder than worry about what people think about my body,” she wrote.

“I am more than a number and a jean size,” Lovato continued. “F— yeah!”

The inspiring words came as Lovato spent the day on set of the music video for her new song with Cheat Codes, “No Promises.”

She showed off her looks for the video on Snapchat.

FROM COINAGE: 5 Financial Mistakes to Avoid in Your 20s

On Monday, Lovato  — who is happily dating MMA Bellator fighter Guilherme “Bomba” Vasconcelos and hitting the boxing ring for her own workouts — shared a few words of advice on Instagram.

“Feeling better than I’ve ever felt. It’s all about self love,” she wrote. “Tell yourself you’re beautiful daily. Be gentle with yourself. Eat carbs without guilt and remember that life is too short to worry about what others think!!”

The star has been vocal about her mental health and her struggles with addiction, cutting and eating disorders since being diagnosed with bipolar disorder while receiving inpatient treatment in 2011.

She celebrated five years of sobriety in March, and talked to Ellen about how much she’s loving her life these days.

“It means so much to me because I feel like the day that I got sober was the day that I actually started living and so I like to call myself five years old,” Lovato explained. “I’ve decided to be open about my story and share everything that I’ve been through because it helps others.”

The former Disney channel star grew up with body image struggles after watching her mother and grandmother deal with bulimia — which Lovato developed at age 12, along with addictions to alcohol, cocaine and OxyContin. Now, after five years of clean living, she prioritizes living healthfully (with plenty of guilt-free carbs) and working out regularly at L.A.’s Unbreakable Performance Center.

“This is her safe haven,” the gym’s founder, Jay Glazer, told PEOPLE. “Demi will be here for four hours a day. It’s her one place where she doesn’t have to be a pop star. She’s talked a lot about her addictions, and this has become her healthy addiction. She lights up when she comes in here.”

Bob Odenkirk Says More ‘Breaking Bad’ Characters Are Coming To ‘Better Call Saul’

It’s Saul good for “Breaking Bad” fans in Season 3 of “Better Call Saul.”

After theorists discovered the episode titles for Season 2 spelled out “FRINGS BACK,” the show has been all about teasing upcoming return of Giancarlo Esposito, the actor who played Los Pollos Hermanos founder Gus Fring in the original AMC series. Check him out in the new promos and photos for “Saul.”

But that might be just the beginning.

Bob Odenkirk tells The Huffington Post that even more “Breaking Bad” characters are on the way.

“Giancarlo is an incredibly sweet, generous actor, and incredibly gifted, amazing actor, so it’s wonderful to have him around, and it’s wonderful to get the story closer to the world of ‘Breaking Bad,’ and it’s not just Giancarlo. There are other characters from that show that are starting to appear, so that is super exciting, and it raises our stakes, and it raises our game at ‘Saul,’” said Odenkirk.

The actor says fans are in for a surprise.

“It’s just awesome, and I just envy the fans for the surprises that are coming this season. I guess as it comes closer to ‘Breaking Bad,’ it’s gonna happen more and more,” he said.

Just what are these surprises and who are these other characters? Could it be Hank? Jesse? Perhaps even … (ominous knocks on door) … gasp … (never mind, it’s just the Chinese food) … perhaps even … the one who knocks, aka Walter White?

In a previous interview for Season 2 of “Better Call Saul,” Odernkirk told HuffPost that he wanted fans to stop hoping for a Walter White cameo and that “Saul” (much like David. S. Pumpkins) was its own thang:

Stop referencing “Breaking Bad” … it hasn’t happened yet … this show is THIS show, and it’s full and complex and the stakes are different and it’s a helluva unique and rich experience.

Now things are breaking differently.

The actor is embracing the idea of the two shows blending together. With his previous response in mind, we asked if the show would continued to have its own tone or trend towards “Breaking Bad.”

“The unique tone that Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould established and sort of the unique area that ‘Saul’ is in, we stay in that world through the third season. But I think your question is a good one, and it could be more relevant in Season 4 and 5, if there is one. It could actually become a little more like the balance ‘Breaking Bad’ was, the balance of violence and higher stakes.”

And for everyone wondering when Jimmy McGill will finally become Saul Goodman, Odenkirk had some reassuring words.

“It’s gonna happen, not the way you expect it to,” he said.

Odenkirk said the difference between Jimmy and Saul is that Saul is more “emotionally callous,” and Jimmy still has “soft spots in his heart and a lot of hope.”

He added, “But trust me, the story will beat the hope out of him.”

In that case, we have a piece of advice for Jimmy McGill.

“Better Call Saul” Season 3 premieres April 10 on AMC.

These Guys Spent Years Editing All Of ‘Breaking Bad’ Into A 2-Hour Movie

For everyone out there who’s thinking of watching (or rewatching) the entirety of “Breaking Bad” but doesn’t want to commit to five whole seasons, you’re in luck.

Filmmakers Lucas Stoll and Gaylor Morestin have worked tirelessly to edit all 62 episodes of the AMC show into a single, two-hour movie.

Stoll and Morestin called their feat “a study project that became an all-consuming passion.”

“It’s not a fan-film, hitting the highlights of show in a home-made homage,” they wrote on Vimeo, “but rather a re-imagining of the underlying concept itself, lending itself to full feature-length treatment. An alternative ‘Breaking Bad,’ to be viewed with fresh eyes.”

The story of Walter White’s rise and fall ― from cancer-stricken high school teacher to drug kingpin ― is basically all there, but of course, two hours couldn’t possibly capture every nuance and detail included in the full series.

Mila Kunis Is Done Trying To Be Perfect In ‘Bad Moms’ Trailer

From the writers of “The Hangover” comes “Bad Moms,” a comedy starring Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn as three women who are done trying to be the mythical “perfect mom.”

Fed up with the stresses of attempting to juggle careers, the PTA, soccer practice and ensuring their children live “amazing and magical lives,” the ladies toast to being “bad moms” and — you guessed it — hilarity ensues.

According the film’s synopsis, the three moms join forces “on a quest to liberate themselves from conventional responsibilities — going on a wild, un-mom-like binge of long overdue freedom, fun and self-indulgence — putting them on a collision course with PTA Queen Bee Gwendolyn and her clique of devoted perfect moms.”

The store-bought donut holes Kunis’ character provides for the school bake sale seem to be a point of contention with Christina Applegate, who has been cast as the tightly wound villain in the film.

“Bad Moms” hits theaters July 29.

This ‘Breaking Bad’ And ‘Spongebob’ Mashup Is Just Too Perfect

Sorry, Walter White, there’s a new cook in town. His name is Spongebob Squarepants — and you better say his name.

YouTuber RunningFlannel’s “Breaking Sponge,” a mashup of “Breaking Bad” and “Spongebob Squarepants,” is so good that it almost works too perfectly. The meth lab becomes the Krusty Krab, Sandy is Skyler and a furious Squidward is Tuco. Check out the video and continue wishing this could be a full-length series.

Wall Trips Up Taylor Swift In ‘Bad Blood’ Blooper

Taylor Swift performed (at least one of) her own stunts in “Bad Blood,” her latest action-packed music video.

Need proof? Here’s a video of Swift messing up one of those stunts in a big way, which she shared Monday on Instagram:

A video posted by Taylor Swift (@taylorswift) on

Fortunately, Swift wasn’t injured in the incident, though she looks to have hit the deck awfully hard. “I’m good,” the pop superstar assured concerned onlookers after tumbling through the wall. “I forgot to keep running.”

In a caption along with the blooper, Swift encouraged readers to “Go to 1:42 of the #BadBloodMusicVideo to see the take where I got it right.”

“This, however, was the first take,” she added. “#stuntFAIL.”

For reference, here’s the shot that ended up making the final cut:

‘Breaking Bad’ ‘Frozen’ Parody Asks ‘Do You Want To Build A Meth Lab?’

In April, Jesse Pinkman answered the question, “Do you want to build a snowman?” in the way only he could. Now, Walter White is at his door with a far more sinister proposal. Forcefully reminding a young Anna that he is the one who knocks, Walt begs Jesse to come build a meth lab. Despite humorous bits like Walt’s pants falling down at the door, the parody is actually quite the emotional ride, and for those who have yet to finish watching the full series, contains some serious spoilers. Watch the video above, but tread lightly.
