LeBron James and some of the NBA’s biggest stars reportedly have ‘disdain’ toward Stephen Curry that he doesn’t understand

Stephen Curry is one of the best, most well-respected, and most popular players in the NBA, but his quick rise in the league reportedly rubbed some of his peers the wrong way. In 2017, Marcus Thompson of The Athletic, author of the book "Golden: The Miraculous Rise of Steph Curry," explained to "The Big Lead with Jason McIntyre" that Curry is not all that popular with some of the league's biggest stars, including LeBron James. "There's this thing there with he and LeBron that's a little weird," Thompson said. According to Thompson, James and Curry were close from Curry's days at Davidson to his early years in the league. Thompson said James was "like a mentor" to Curry, but as Curry's game improved,

Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery’s Biggest Problem Isn’t Its Energy Mechanic

The question “what Hogwarts House would you be in?” is still a conversational ice-breaker among millenials, over 21 years since JK Rowling first let Harry out the cupboard under the stairs.

It’s asked at dinner parties to friends just met; on Tinder to potential suitors; and has become so trusted-a-method of ascertaining one’s character, it’s a wonder it’s not replaced Myers-Briggs. The reason is simple. The only thing that fascinates us more about the labyrinthine corridors of Hogwarts is what it’d be like to walk in them.

So when Jam City announced it was making a Harry Potter mobile RPG that would “make players feel for the first time like they’re attending Hogwarts,” the internet detonated like an erumpent horn. Finally, fans would be able to experience life at Hogwarts – actually seeking adventure in JK Rowling’s rich world, rather than passively reading about it or watching Daniel Radcliffe live it.

From Stormy Daniels to Russia: A Guide to President Trump’s Biggest Scandals

“Grab ’em by the p—y” was only the beginning. From the special counsel investigation into Russia’s election meddling to the porn star who refuses to be silenced, a whiplashing — and never-ending —string of scandals trail after Donald Trump.

Here’s a look back at some of Trump’s biggest controversies since launching his presidential campaign in June 2015.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia Probe

The president is embroiled in special counsel Robert Mueller’s ongoing investigation into the Trump campaign and Russian interference in the 2016 election — a probe that has gradually been closing in on Trump’s inner circle. Democrats and other critics have called for Trump’s impeachment over the alleged collusion, and for the president’s alleged obstruction of the Mueller probe. The president has repeatedly denied accusations of collusion and obstruction.

‘Very Fine People’ in Charlottesville

Last August, Trump stirred a firestorm of lingering criticism for his comments blaming “both sides” for the deadly violence at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

“You look at both sides – I think there’s blame on both sides, and I have no doubt about it, and you don’t have any doubt about it either,” Trump said of the clashes between white supremacists and counter-protesters, which ultimately resulted in the death of 32-year-old Heather Heyer. He also repeatedly said there were some “very fine people” on both sides.

Critics said Trump did not go far enough in condemning white supremacy, but he stood by his comments and even doubled down on them in the weeks that followed.

Corrupt—Perhaps Unconstitutional—Business Dealings?

Just days after the president was inaugurated on Jan. 20, the nonprofit legal watchdog group CREW filed a lawsuit alleging that Trump’s business dealings violated a constitutional provision prohibiting officeholders from accepting “emoluments or presents” from foreign governments.

Democratic Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison and other critics have said that Trump should be impeached for violating the clause.

“I mean, on day one he was – on day one he was in violation of the Emoluments Clause,” Ellison said last February. “This is a part of the Constitution that says as the president you can’t get payments from a foreign power. The day people checked into his hotel and started paying him, who were foreign dignitaries, he was in violation of that law.”

Since then, Trump has continued to promote his hotels and golf courses. And the sons to whom he turned over operations of the family business—Don Jr. and Eric—have been criticized for mixing official business with company business. Government watchdogs faulted Don Jr.’s recent trip to India to promote a Trump condominium project and give a foreign-policy speech as “Trump’s company is literally selling access to the president’s son overseas,” according to The Washington Post.

West Wing Staffing Chaos

President Trump on Tuesday fired Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in a surprise Twitter announcement. Just two weeks earlier, White House communications director Hope Hicks handed in her resignation after Trump reportedly “berated” her for telling the House Intelligence Committee she had told “white lies” for the president. A source told PEOPLE at the time that “she had enough.” Those are just the latest oustings in a long line of resignations and firings that include White House Staff Secretary Rob Porter, who resigned after accusations of domestic abuse from both of his ex-wives came to light (Porter has denied the allegations); Secretary of Health and Human Services Tom Price, who resigned amid a scandal involving his use of private jets to travel for government business; and chief strategist Steve Bannon, who was fired not long after Charlottesville, as Trump faced mounting pressure to remove the controversial alt-right figure from his staff.

Golfing Habits

As a private citizen, Trump frequently criticized then-President Barack Obama for his golfing habits.

But according to Politifact’s Trump Golf Tracker, the president has already far outpaced Obama in the amount of time he spends on the green. As of Dec. 28 in the first year of both men’s presidencies, Trump played golf 84 times to Obama’s 26, at a cost of at least $ 42,493,519 to taxpayers.

Paper-Towel Toss in Puerto Rico

In the wake of the devastation in Puerto Rico from Hurricanes Irma and Maria, Trump visited the U.S. territory and sparked backlash by tossing rolls of paper towels to a crowd of survivors. Critics, including San Juan mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz, called the moment “abominable” and insensitive.

Caught on Tape: Boasting About Sexual Assault

In early October 2016, The Washington Post published a now infamous Access Hollywood tape revealing Trump boasting to Billy Bush in 2005 about sexually assaulting women.

“Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything,” he said in the 2005 conversation. “Grab ’em by the p—y.”

Shortly after the recording was leaked, Trump acknowledged his comments and apologized for them, but then went on to repeatedly dismiss the remarks as “locker room talk.”

A year later, in November 2017, The New York Times reported that Trump had claimed the leaked tape was fabricated — prompting Access Hollywood to remind the world that the tape was “very real.”

“We wanted to clear something up that has been reported across the media landscape,” host Natalie Morales said on the show at the time. “Let us make this perfectly clear — the tape is very real. Remember his excuse at the time was ‘locker-room talk.’ He said every one of those words.”

Sexual Misconduct Allegations

In the weeks that followed the Access Hollywood scandal, multiple women alleged on the record that Trump had touched, grabbed or kissed them without their permission.

Over the course of his campaign, more than 10 would come forward, including former PEOPLE writer Natasha Stoynoff, who alleged that Trump attacked her at Mar-a-Lago during a 2005 interview. Trump has denied all of the allegations.

Though Trump has thus far avoided consequences for his alleged actions, Stoynoff told PEOPLE in February, “I feel this issue has been ‘on hold’ all year, but not forgotten. It’s been simmering on the stove with the lid on, like a pressure cooker. But now the heat’s on and it’s going to boil and the lid is going to blast off.”

Summer Zervos Defamation Lawsuit

The sexual misconduct claims continued to dog Trump after his election, and dominated headlines again when accuser Summer Zervos, a former contestant on Trump’s reality TV series The Apprentice, sued Trump for defamation just days before his January 2017 inauguration.

Zervos, who alleged Trump kissed her very aggressively and put his hand on her breast without her consent in 2007, argued in the suit that he defamed her and other accusers by calling their claims “lies” and “total fabrication.”

Trump’s lawyers have so far managed to keep the case from going to trial. The Washington Post reported on Feb. 13 that a New York judge was expected to rule “any day” on whether the case should proceed.

Alleged Affairs with Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal

On Jan. 12, the Wall Street Journal reported that Trump’s longtime lawyer Michael Cohen had arranged a $ 130,000 payment to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016 so she’d keep quiet about an alleged sexual relationship she had with Trump in July 2006 — less than four months after Trump’s wife, Melania, gave birth to their son, Barron, now 11.

Cohen and the White House have denied the allegation of an affair, with a Trump official telling the Wall Street Journal in January: “These are old, recycled reports, which were published and strongly denied prior to the election.”

After initially denying that such a payment had been made, Cohen later admitted to paying Daniels $ 130,000 out of his own pocket just days before the 2016 election. He called the payment a “private transaction” and said it didn’t violate any campaign finance laws. A recent Wall Street Journal report said Cohen later complained to friends that he hadn’t been reimbursed for the payment.

Daniels is still fighting to tell her story. The New York Times reported Monday that Daniels’ lawyer sent a letter to Cohen offering to return the $ 130,000 payment in exchange for dissolving a so-called “hush agreement.”

But now Trump’s lawyers are reportedly considering legal action to stop 60 Minutes from airing an interview with Daniels that’s slated to air March 18.

Daniel isn’t the only one who allegedly had an affair with the president in 2006.

Last month, The New Yorker reported that Trump also had a consensual sexual relationship with former Playboy Playmate of the Year Karen McDougal in 2006 while married to Melania.

The report detailed an elaborate coverup system Trump allegedly set up to hide and protect his extramarital affairs before his presidency, claiming he used “clandestine hotel-room meetings, payoffs, and complex legal agreements to keep affairs — sometimes multiple affairs he carried out simultaneously — out of the press.”

Trump’s campaign denied he had an affair with McDougal when it was first reported in 2016.

From the Grassy Knoll to Ted Cruz’s Dad: The Biggest JFK Assassination Conspiracy Theories and How They’ve Been (Mostly) Debunked

On Nov. 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated while riding through the streets of Dallas in an open-topped motorcade. With wife Jackie Kennedy by his side, the 46-year-old president was struck by two bullets — one in the head and one in the neck. Former U.S. Marine Lee Harvey Oswald was charged with the murder, and a presidential commission later found that the gunman had acted alone.

But that conclusion has hardly satisfied the public, with JFK’s assassination fueling conspiracy theories for decades to come.

On Thursday, nearly 54 years later, the government is expected to release thousands of long-blocked and classified documents about JFK’s assassination, in a move that could further inflame existing conspiracy theories — or spawn new ones.

Here are three of the top conspiracy theories about JFK’s murder — so far:

1. The grassy knoll

Some say the trajectory of the bullets that struck JFK didn’t align with Oswald’s position on the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository, spurring theories that a second gunman — perhaps on the grassy knoll of Dallas’ Dealey Plaza — participated in the shooting.

That theory was given a boost by none other than the U.S. House of Representatives, which voted in 1976 — in the wake of the Watergate scandal — to establish a Select Committee on Assassinations to reinvestigate JFK’s killing.

The House found no evidence of Soviet, Cuban or CIA involvement in Kennedy’s assassination, but did conclude that there was “probably” a conspiracy involving a second gunman on the “grassy knoll,” The Washington Post reported, while pointing out that the theory has since been discredited multiple times.

In 2008, a team of experts used high-tech tools including 3-D computer simulations, artificial human body surrogates and modern blood splatter analysis to determine that Oswald’s perch is the likely origin point of the bullet that killed Kennedy, NBC News reported.

2. LBJ or the CIA

According to other widespread conspiracy theories, JFK’s assassination was plotted by the CIA and/or then-Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson, who was sworn in as president hours after Kennedy was shot.

Some speculate that LBJ plotted Kennedy’s assassination because the vice president feared being dropped from the Democratic ticket in the upcoming 1964 election.

Kennedy’s personal secretary, Evelyn Lincoln, said in her 1968 memoir that Kennedy had in fact planned to replace Johnson as vice president, and that he told Lincoln as much just three days before he was killed.

However, historians and scholars have scoffed at the theory that LBJ orchestrated his boss’s death. Larry Sabato, author of The Kennedy Half-Century, told the Daily Beast the theory has no “hard evidence” and is “ridiculous.”

Others believe the CIA had Kennedy killed because the agency opposed some of the president’s positions on Cuba and Communism, particularly his refusal to offer air support for the failed Bay of Pigs invasion, a CIA mission to overthrow Cuban Prime Minister Fidel Castro, Business Insider reported.

The new documents are expected to shed light on the CIA’s response to the assassination — and could finally put this conspiracy to rest.

Although this theory has been the hardest to disprove, Mark Fenster, author of Conspiracy Theories: Secrecy and Power in American Culture, told the Daily Beast he’s deeply skeptical of it because “I’m not convinced that the CIA of that era has shown itself as an organization to be exceptionally competent at doing anything but ruining other countries and people’s lives in openly secretive ways. Pulling off a JFK hit and keeping it secret this long would be the mark of an incredibly competent plot.”

3. Ted Cruz’s dad

A theory resurfaced by President Donald Trump on the campaign trail claims that Sen. Ted Cruz’s father, Rafael Cruz, was somehow involved in JFK’s killing and had been spotted with Oswald before the shooting.

Taking aim at his 2016 rival’s father, Trump told Fox News in a telephone interview last year, “His father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald being, you know, shot. I mean the whole thing is ridiculous. What is this? Right? Prior to his being shot. And nobody even brings it up. I mean, they don’t even talk about that — that was reported. And nobody talks about it.”

This theory has also been widely discredited, with pointing out that Trump was citing a National Enquirer articleThe piece quotes a photo expert who said an unidentified man spotted handing out Fidel Castro leaflets with Oswald has “more similarity than dissimilarity” to the elder Cruz.

RELATED VIDEO: Story Behind the Story: Jackie Kennedy and JFK’s Legacy

Speculation over JFK’s assassination is so popular that the majority of Americans have actually bought into the theories. A 2013 Washington Post-ABC News poll found that 62 percent of Americans believe Kennedy’s murder was part of a broader plot.

Meanwhile, Jackie Kennedy’s former Secret Service agent, Clint Hill, told PEOPLE this week that he believes the former first lady would support the release of the long-secret documents in the name of transparency.

“It was my understanding that she wanted all the information released,” he said. “She wanted people to have as much information about what actually happened as possible.”

Craig David On His Unstoppable Rise As One Of Britain’s Biggest Black Music Stars

Craig David spoke his career into existence when he titled his debut album “Born To Do It.”

The British-born singer came on the scene in 2000 with a soulful single titled “7 Days,” breaking into the booming R&B era of the early aughts with a song that carried the smooth melodies and sensual lyrics that defined the genre at the time. His second single, “Fill Me In,” which came with a faster tempo, dropped shortly after to much fanfare.

With the release of several other bangers like “Walking Away” and “Rendezvous,” David’s popularity rapidly grew. Although he was just 18 years old when his first album dropped, he proved that he had the appeal to quickly amass a legion of fans worldwide while selling millions of records.

Within months of the album’s debut, David had become a superstar ― and over the years, he has effectively cemented his status as one of Britain’s biggest black music stars.

Arena shows so soon. Fired up & ready to go @lukedyson

A post shared by Craig David (@craigdavid) on

David’s debut album was a powerful and well-executed project that truly catapulted his career, which has spanned nearly two decades, six studio albums, countless collaborations and endless sold-out shows in cities across the world.

The singer, who was based in the U.K. throughout much of his life, was named the 2017 British Male Solo Artist for the influence of his latest album, “Following My Intuition.” Now, he splits his time between England and Miami, traveling to perform at packed venues and build better connections with audiences around the globe. In light of June being Black Music Month, HuffPost spoke to the star during his recent tour stop in New York about his evolution over the years and just how much of a roller coaster ride his journey to success has been.

“The ride I’ve been on has been amazing because there’s been a lot of character-building,” David told HuffPost in an interview at the New York office for Sony, his record label. “What are you really doing this for and where are you going? You ask those questions and when you answer them honestly, I realize that the only thing I ever really loved is being in the studio and making music and going out and performing and positively impacting people’s lives.”

For David, life is all about the journey and the experiences that build the memories, connections and foundation that help to define who he is ― and, perhaps more importantly, who he wants to become.

“It used to be about getting from one place to the destination and always looking for the next thing ― which is great, that’s drive and passion for what you do,” he said. “But one thing I’ve learned over the last 16 years is that it’s about the journey. It’s OK to have the goals, but what was fun was leading toward it.”

David’s journey has indeed been a remarkable one ― but he said his success is simply a result of him learning to listen to his heart and better believe in his abilities to provide unforgettable musical experiences. This new approach led him to title his latest album “Following My Intuition.” The 18-track album was released last September and boasts a repertoire of songs that reflect various styles of music like pop, garage and EDM. There are upbeat singles like “16,” featuring Justin Beiber, which mashes together his classic hit “Fill Me In” with “Where Are Ü Now.” And then there are soothing numbers like “Got It Good” with music star Kaytranada.

While many of the songs are a departure from the slower-paced R&B ballads he was known for on his first album, David said he enjoys the process of experimenting with and evolving his musical style by exploring new songs with new artists and identifying new ways to express himself. Whatever the case, staying true to himself remains his top priority.

“Authenticity comes up to me as being the key to everything that I’m experiencing now and maybe in the earlier parts of my career, which was a very dynamic moment,” he said. “It’s been a roller coaster ride … but it’s all come down to authenticity. It’s like as soon as I start to follow my intuition ― yes, that is a pun ― that’s when it all started to happen.”

“[Growing up] I was exposed to a lot of R&B, a lot of hip-hop, a lot of dance, I was hearing this mix of music, I was very aware,” he added, going on to explain what makes “Following My Intuition” so special for him: “When I made the album, it connected on such a level that I never expected.”

‪Listening to the album getting prepared for the arena tour next year is getting me way too excited #FMI

A post shared by Craig David (@craigdavid) on

David’s deep love for music also led him to dabble in DJ’ing, which he said has always been a passion of his. In fact, he frequently hosted lavish personal parties at his mansion in Miami, which quickly drew plenty of buzz and helped to establish his early start as a DJ. He has since mastered the skill of DJing to create TS5, a stage name he established for himself in 2013 for all of his live sets and singing performances.

“TS5 is an experience,” he said. “It’s everything I’ve learned in the last 16 years as a life performer, all encapsulated with what I learned when I was doing vinyl mixing in clubs back before I released ‘Born To Do It.’”

TS5 is now a large component of David’s presence at his concerts. He DJs and sings at the same time, and opts to use a “very simplified situation” in regard to performance equipment. There are no dancers or elaborate stage props ― merely a small DJ booth and a mic ― making for a much more intimate and personal experience.

“It’s very hands-on and my thing is not to stay behind the booth, but to come out of the booth,” he said. “It’s a performance, a live performance and an open format of what I’m gonna play. I want to keep your attention for every single minute I’m on that stage.”

“I want to give 110 percent onstage,” he added. “I just feel like I want to give everything on that stage and in the studio. No regrets, no would’ve, could’ve, should’ve, I’ve got to give it everything.”

I attended his show that evening following the interview, and David delivered on his word. By mixing his own vocals, songs and instrumentals with classic throwback songs from artists like Whitney Houston and TLC, David dominates onstage and does not disappoint. And if selling back-to-back sold-out shows isn’t any indication of his current success as a performer, simply check out a clip from a recent show and note the rousing crowd reaction:

So ready✨Who's coming to my @TS5 shows this summer? ☀️ #TS5

A post shared by Craig David (@craigdavid) on

David said he wouldn’t be the artist he is today if it weren’t for the influences from classic R&B legends including Boyz II Men and R. Kelly. He also credits rappers like Biggie, Big Pun and Tupac for the inspiration they have given him. As for more contemporary artists he admires, David mentioned Drake ― and while he notes that “a lot of people compare me to him,” he said he’s “never seen it like a competition.”

David did admit, however, that he has his sights set on building more traction with American fans and expanding his exposure in cities around the country. This year alone, he has already sold out several shows in the States and is returning in October for more performances.

“I’m coming for you, Miami, I’m coming for you, Madison Square Garden,” he said with confidence ― and if his unstoppable rise so far is any indication, David only has more dreams to accomplish.

“I know, first hand, that when I do something and I actually have conviction with it and I just go, special things happen,” he said. “It’s a force to be reckoned with when you speak on it, act on it and you keep it going.”

“You’ve got to follow your intuition,” I said, to which he replied with a smile: “You know the drill.”

At This Point In His Presidency, Obama’s Biggest Scandal Was Using Dijon Mustard

As President Donald Trump continues to erode American democracy, you can at least take comfort in knowing he isn’t using Dijon mustard on his burgers.

In May 2009, Fox News host Sean Hannity devoted airtime on his show to a frank, honest conversation about whether then-President Barack Obama was capable of leading the country. His biggest issue was that America could not trust a president that uses Dijon mustard on his food.

“Take a look at [Obama] ordering his burger with a very special condiment,” Hannity said on his program at the time, before showing a clip of POTUS at a Virginia restaurant.

“I’m gonna have your very basic cheddar cheeseburger, medium-well,” Obama told the cashier. “I just want mustard, no ketchup. You got a spicy mustard or something like that? Dijon mustard or something?”

“I hope you enjoyed that fancy burger,” Hannity shot back.

Eight years later, the U.S. now has a president who has bragged about sexually assaulting women, is accused of colluding with Russia to help him win an election, golfs more than he leads, ignores climate change evidence, and petulantly shoves world leaders when he doesn’t get to be the center of attention.

Oh, he also eats his steaks well-done with ketchup.

It’s unclear why Hannity’s investigation never led to the removal of President Obama, but at least the American people can finally rest assured that these types of scandals are finally over.

Ashley Tisdale Remembers Her Biggest Red Carpet Fail From Her Disney Channel Days

Ashley Tisdale‘s been in front of the camera for 20 years (spending nearly half that time as a Disney Channel starlet on The Suite Life of Zack & CodyHigh School Musical and Phineas and Ferb) so she’s inevitably regretted a red carpet fashion choice or two from the era.

“I grew up in front of everybody and experimented with clothes on the red carpet, so it’s different for me,” Tisdale, who recently partnered with DUO to help launch its new line of dual-sided body cleansers. “All of the stuff you do as a younger person you’re doing in front of everyone, so there are probably tons of moments I look back on and cringe.”

The star says her biggest fashion fails happened when she first started filming The Suite Life, and in hindsight, she can see why.

“My stylist at the time was my stylist for the TV series, which I learned very quickly you ,” Tisdale told us. “They will just style you how you’re styled on your TV show so I looked like my character at all times when I was going out.”

The one look that stands out in the 31-year-old star’s mind as the most cringe-worthy carpet happened at The Incredibles premiere in 2004, right as she started breaking into the spotlight at just 19 years old.

“I wore this really weird pink camo skirt and this pink furry thing, I don’t even know what it was, but I said, ‘Ooh, put me in it!’ And instead of wearing it like you would normally wear it, I was like, ‘I am going to do it have one of my arms out and have it going across my body.’ It was the weirdest thing,” Tisdale said. “At that point, you just have to laugh at yourself!”
