Nathalie Emmanuel to Join Reebok’s Ambassador Team

Reebok has tapped actress Nathalie Emmanuel to join a high-profile group of women who will appear in the brand’s first female-skewed campaign later this year.
Emmanuel, an English actress best known for her role of Missandei on HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” will join Gigi Hadid, Ariana Grande and Gal Gadot and others, in the upcoming Reebok campaign. Emmanuel, who also stars as Megan Ramsey in the “Fast and the Furious” franchise, is a well-known feminist and civil rights activist.
“I am driven by the idea that all women are not defined by a single trait,” she said. “We are individuals with strengths, talents and beliefs that define us and shape who we are as humans. This new partnership with Reebok is founded upon shared passion and synergy with individuality. Together, we are passionate about an agenda that spotlights the individual abilities of women and propels their stories forward.”
Todd Krinsky, general manager of Reebok Performance, said Emmanuel “is a hugely important addition to our powerful female coalition of inspirational journeys, passions, beliefs and inspirations. We have a combined focus with Nathalie, and all of our collaborators, to motivate and mobilize women across the world to find their balance between physical, mental and social health

Emmanuel Macron Under Fire For Flamboyant Makeup Budget

KEEPING UP APPEARANCES: Not one for sartorial extravagance, when it comes to his wardrobe French President Emmanuel Macron has a go-to uniform of affordable, off-the-rack navy suits by Jonas et Cie. But when it comes to the budget for perfecting his complexion for official engagements, the young leader in his first three months on the job has taken a less modest approach, according to reports in French media.
Local makeup artist Natacha M. submitted invoices totaling 26,000 euros to the general secretariat of the presidency covering her services to Macron for the period, according to a report in Le Point, a weekly magazine covering politics and news.
A spokeswoman for Macron told WWD that the information relayed by Le Point corresponded to “an urgent situation” following the president’s arrival at the Élysée Palace.
“We are putting into place a long-term set-up that will be significantly less expensive than these bills, and less expensive than the system in place during previous presidential terms,” she said.
According to reports, Macron’s predecessor, the thin-haired François Hollande, is said to have paid his makeup artist and hairdresser a monthly net salary of 6,000 euros and 10,000 euros, respectively.
The negative buzz comes as Macron faces a dramatic slump in ratings countrywide since being elected in

THINK PIECE: Luxury titan Bernard Arnault has endorsed center-left French presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron in an op-ed column published in Les Echos newspaper on Friday.
Arnault criticizes Macron’s rival Marine Le Pen, leader of the far-right National Front, whose anti-European Union platform calls for curbs on immigration and greater economic autonomy.
Titled “Why I Am Voting for Emmanuel Macron,” his column begins by saying that between the two alternatives presented in the second round of presidential elections slated for Sunday, “one is a dead branch.”
“It is one of confinement, of fear, of acrimonies,” wrote Arnault. “It is one of the illusory protection called protectionism that protects against nothing, sterilizes exchanges and curtails will. Everything in Marine Le Pen’s program, and despite her cloak of sovereignty, breathes fear and weakness.”
Arnault counsels against Le Pen’s economic policies.
“Leave Europe? That is to ignore very imprudently that we owe our prosperity to peace and to European exchanges since 60 years,” he writes. “Leave the euro? It is to forget how much our common currency protects our savings and prevents the cost of our imports from soaring, notably for energy.”
The luxury titan, whose company LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton owns Les Echos, also touches on the negative
