From Software Boss Hints That a New Armored Core Is Still in Development

From Software president, Hidetaka Miyazaki, has hinted that a new Armored Core game is still in development, despite the lack of an E3 announcement.

The studio announced that it was working on three games back in 2016, and Miyazaki confirmed that Armored Core was in development at the time.

However, at E3 2018, the developer announced its new VR title, Déraciné, new Souls-like samurai game, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and a collaboration with Devolver to re-release cult Xbox mech game Metal Wolf Chaos.

Krystal Had Hoped Peter Kraus Would Be The Bachelor — and Hints That’s She’s Headed to Paradise

Ahead of Women Tell All, here’s  Krystal Tells All?

The Bachelor contestant – whom many dubbed this year’s “villain” – Krystal Nielson spilled on what was really happening on Arie Luyendyk Jr.‘s season with reality-obsessed producers of The Ellen DeGeneres Show after getting the boot during an infamous 2-on-1 date.

Turns out that like Bekah Martinez, Nielson appeared on the show hoping Peter Kraus, the fan favorite who made it to the final two on Rachel Lindsay‘s Bachelorette season, would be the guy handing out roses.

“You know, I was really pleasantly surprised,” the 30-year-old fitness coach said about Luyendyk Jr.. “I was really hoping it was going to be Peter. I wanted to give him a fair shot.”

She added, “Arie’s so different in a group setting versus one on one. In a group, he’s awkward and a little goofy and uncomfortable in a group setting. One on one, Arie’s completely different. He’s there for you. He’s very present.”

The reality star also addressed her breakdown after a group bowling date, when Luyendyk made a last-minute decision to bring all the women to the evening portion of the date despite previously saying that only the winning team of a bowling competition would have more time with him.

“The thing at the bowling alley was just my tipping point,” Nielson explained. “I’d been putting so much effort into him, and there was so much s– in the house and I was just there for Arie. When he changed his mind, some people think that’s an overreaction. I only had his word. I was pretty much done. I packed my bags that night.”

RELATED VIDEO: The Bachelor‘s Arie Luyendyk Jr. Says He Fell for Two Women on the Show: “I Didn’t Know I Was Capable of That”

Nielson added that she wasn’t the only woman upset by the sudden change but said no one publicly had her back.

She also said she wasn’t able to address comments she made on the bus ride back to the hotel after the date, which was spoken about by the cast but not caught on camera. However, she hinted that “it was a big f–ing deal.”

Nielson said that she felt “misunderstood” during filming but didn’t know that she would be portrayed so negatively when the show aired.

“It’s such an interesting dynamic that was really hard for me to navigate through because I’m there for Arie – I gave up so much of my life for this guy and this relationship, and that’s where my focus is,” she said. “It’s not summer camp, braiding hair and making girlfriends. That’s not what I signed up for. So that really separated me instantly.”

But have we seen the last of Nielson?

Although she wouldn’t confirm that she’s been tapped to appear on Bachelor in Paradise, she definitely didn’t deny it – and she had an idea of who she’d be looking for on the beach.

“It would have to be someone who definitely works for themselves. Entrepreneurial. Definitely health and fitness. And has to be a dog person,” Nielson said, immediately causing co-executive producer Corey Palent to respond, “That’s Peter!”

Venom Teaser Trailer Hints at Eddie Brock’s Transformation

The first teaser trailer for Sony’s Venom has arrived, coming the day after the studio unveiled the official teaser poster for the upcoming comic book adaptation. Check out the teaser trailer below:

The first official footage from the upcoming movie focuses heavily on Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock and less so on story. Notably absent in the trailer is the Venom symbiote itself, though there are plenty of other Easter eggs and moments of note in the minute-long video. Stay tuned for our full trailer breakdown, coming later today.

Venom wrapped filming a couple of weeks ago, so chances are Venom isn’t present in this trailer simply because the footage of the iconic Marvel character wasn’t ready for the world to see — especially since the film still has plenty of post-production work in the months ahead before its October 5th release date. Still, the movie is leaning heavily on the symbiote for its marketing, with both the final shot of the teaser trailer and the teaser poster lingering on a minimalist version of Venom’s signature eyes on a black background.

New set images from Avengers: Infinity War appear to show a major change for Tony Stark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe continuity.

What follows could be considered spoilers for the upcoming film and, possibly, Spider-Man: Homecoming. This is your final warning!

In set images published by Variety, Robert Downey Jr.’s character appears to have a new chest-set Arc reactor incorporated into his costume.

Within the MCU timeline, Stark was able to remove the Arc reactor – which kept shrapnel from entering his heart – at the end of Iron Man 3, and was able to power his Iron Man suits without it in Captain America: Civil War.

J.K. Rowling Hints That Dumbledore May Be Openly Gay In The ‘Fantastic Beasts’ Sequel

Since “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” acts as a prequel to the “Harry Potter” universe, we’re about to get a lot more backstory about our cherished wizarding world. The film mostly operates as its own entity, but at a press conference in New York on Thursday, J.K. Rowling and producer David Heyman promised more “connective tissue” with the initial Hogwarts novels as the new five-part franchise continues.

That raises many questions about what’s in store for our new hero, sheepish magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), and the established characters who may resurface. With the exception of the dark wizard Grindelwald, most of “Fantastic Beasts” introduces fresh faces. But we already know that Albus Dumbledore will appear in the second film, and at the press conference, Screen Crush senior editor and former HuffPost writer Erin Whitney asked whether that movie will present the future headmaster as openly gay.

In a room filled with domestic and international press, Rowling smiled knowingly at the question. “Well, I can’t tell you everything I would like to say because this is obviously a five-part story, so there’s lots to unpack in that relationship,” Rowling said, referring to Dumbledore’s known romance with Grindelwald. “I will say that you will see Dumbledore as a younger man, and quite a troubled man, because he wasn’t always the sage. He was always very clever, but we’ll see what I think was the formative period of his life. As far as his sexuality is concerned, watch this space.”

Of course, this is no confirmation either way. But it sounds to me like the author, who wrote “Fantastic Beasts” and is putting finishing touches on the sequel’s script, is inching toward an affirmative answer. Given her advocacy for the LGBTQ community and her anti-Trump sentiments, one can assume Rowling understands how revolutionary it would be for young viewers to see a queer hero on the big screen.

Rowling, a Brit, has been vocal about the American presidential election on Twitter, but she didn’t want to talk Trump when asked about him at the press conference. Rowling said any Trumpian parallels to storylines in “Fantastic Beasts” are coincidental, as the story was conceived years ago.

However, she noted that the film, which opens Nov. 18, revolves around unlikely heroes thrust into a situation while dark forces try to take control. The overarching themes, Rowling said, were a response to “a rise of populism around the world.” She was in a “bleak mood” boarding a plane to America on Wednesday, so she worked on revisions to the next “Beasts” script to distract herself.

“I need to do it,” she said. “I feel strange if I don’t write. Clearly, I don’t need to write anymore. I love it so much. I would feel almost like a psychic amputation if I didn’t do it. I have to write.”

Mike Epps Talks ‘Soaking’ Up Richard Pryor Role, Hints At Timeline

After a long casting process, it appears Lee Daniels’ Richard Pryor biopic is set to begin production soon.

The late comedian will be played by Mike Epps. According to Epps, the all-star cast — which includes Eddie Murphy, Oprah Winfrey, and Kate Hudson – is scheduled to begin filming in March 2016.

“We start prepping in January, and start shooting in March,” he said during an interview with The Huffington Post. “Eddie Murphy’s playing my father, Oprah Winfrey’s playing my grandmother, Kate Hudson’s playing my girl, and I’m playing Richard Pryor.”

Epps went on to share how preparing for the role of Pryor, who died in 2005, has required him to delve into the many layers of the late comedy legend.

“Right now, I’m just really soaking it up. I’m just a sponge right now,” he said. “Just doing a lot research on the history of Richard Pryor. Trying to figure out the things that I need to figure out to play certain scenes. How I need to feel. What state of mind I need to be in, because this guy was a roller coaster, man. It wasn’t easy. [He was] close to something that’s scientific — broken down into a whole lot of different ways.”

As the 44-year-old actor gears up for the iconic role, he is also busy promoting season 2 of Starz’s original series, “Survivor’s Remorse.” The comedy series, which is produced by NBA superstar LeBron James and follows the life of a young professional basketball star, Cam Calloway (played by Jessie T. Usher), as he navigates his newfound fame, wealth, and personal relationships.

While the show addresses relevant topics surrounding the lives of professional athletes, Epps — who plays Calloway’s uncle, Julius — says the show isn’t just relatable to people in the world of sports.

“The whole show itself is relatable to anybody that’s in show business because it’s ‘survivor’s remorse,’” he said. “So the whole thing about money, family, and friends, and love and all that — it all ties in together.”

“Survivor’s Remorse” premieres Saturday August 22 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT

Amy Schumer Hints She Will Push To Reduce Gun Violence

Comedian Amy Schumer suggested she is preparing to make a push against gun violence on Saturday, after a gunman killed two women and injured nine people during a showing of her latest movie in Lafayette, Louisiana last month.

Sarah Clements, whose mother survived the mass shooting at Sandy Hook elementary school in 2012, published a post on Medium calling on Schumer to speak out in the aftermath of the Lafayette shooting, which took place during a screening of “Trainwreck,” Schumer’s latest movie. In her reply on Twitter, Schumer referenced the victims and said she was preparing to do something:

21-year-old Mayci Breaux and 33-year-old Jillian Johnson were killed and nine others were injured July 23 by John Russell Houser, 59, who also killed himself during the incident.

Clements called Schumer “our generation’s epitome of what it means to be a strong, powerful, self-aware champion for the experiences and truths of being a woman,” and highlighted the particular challenges women face in pushing for gun control.

“The hatred and trolling of women fighting for gun reform is specifically twisted to become gendered threats and attacks. They reference rape, ‘setting us in our place,’ obeying men and shutting us up, and overall they simply exemplify the worst of a patriarchy obsessed with the symbol and purpose of guns,” she wrote on Medium. Clements also noted that women in the United States are much more likely to be killed by a person with a gun than are women in other high income countries and that women of color are disproportionately affected by gun violence.

After the shooting, Schumer tweeted that her heart was broken and her thoughts were with the victims of the attack. Earlier this year, she released a mock advertisement for birth control, advertising how difficult it was to obtain for women while guns remained relatively easy to get.

But Clements said that she knew Schumer could do more.

“Be a voice for our generation and for women — two groups who make up most of the victims of the gun violence in our country,” Clements wrote. “As you said and as I’ve learned, what truly matters in life is how you decide to write your own story. And in doing so, don’t apologize to the frightened millions who resent that they never had it in them to do it. Instead, show them it can be done.”

‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 5 Finale Title Hints At Appearance Of That One Big Character

Game of Thrones” says, “All men must die,” but they never said anything about staying dead.

tv show gifs
Image: HuffPost/HBO

The title of the Season 5 finale, “Mother’s Mercy,” is giving rise once again to speculation that Lady Stoneheart, aka the zombified version of Catelyn Stark, may be making an appearance, and this time it’s a pretty strong case.

The main evidence is that one of Stoneheart’s aliases is “Mother Mercy,” according to the appendix of George R.R. Martin’s novel A Feast for Crows. She is also referred to as “Mother Merciless” in the book.

Adding support, there’s a Season 6 casting call for a character who sounds like Septon Meribald. It’s on her journey with Meribald that Brienne actually meets Stoneheart in the books.

Now, “Mother’s Mercy” seems like it’d be a pretty obvious giveaway, but just because there are hints, it definitely doesn’t mean it’s a sure thing. The showrunners and Catelyn Stark actress Michelle Fairley have repeatedly shot down rumors that the character will show up; past teases of an appearance have obviously not amounted to much; and, as the Westeros.org Twitter account notes, “Mother’s Mercy” is different than the Stoneheart moniker “Mother Mercy”:

Damn. Why’d they have to include that apostrophe? All apostrophes must die!

The synopsis from HBO also doesn’t say anything about Stoneheart or her revenge:

Stannis marches. Dany is surrounded by strangers. Cersei (Lena Headey) seeks forgiveness. Jon is challenged.

Still, as Vanity Fair points out, the episode titles often cover a lot of storylines, and there may be a chance for Stoneheart to appear and dish out some of her special brand of “mercy” …

Chills …

For more, head to Vanity Fair.

Correction: An earlier version identified “Mother’s Mercy” as the Season 6 finale instead of Season 5.

Hugh Jackman Hints At Final Appearance As Wolverine

Hugh Jackman’s time as Wolverine may be coming to an end.

The actor, who has portrayed the “X-Men” character since the beginning of the franchise in 2000, hinted on Instagram on Saturday that he may be doing that just one more time.

WOLVERINE …ONE LAST TIME. HJ

Cinemablend reported rumors earlier this week that Wolverine will indeed make an appearance in the upcoming “X-Men: Apocalypse.” Could this be the appearance Jackman is talking about? Without Jackman as Wolverine, will the franchise crumble to pieces? We’d guess probably not, but one should never underestimate the Power of Jackman.
