Kim Kardashian West Says Her Kids Don’t Know She’s Famous: They ‘Have No Clue’

She’s a household name all over the world — except in her very own home.

According to Kim Kardashian West, her three kids with husband Kanye West — daughters North, 5, Chicago, 5 months, and son Saint, 2½ — are pretty much in the dark about their mom and dad’s level of fame.

“It’s pretty intense, but at home I’m not known,” she recently told ITV’s This Morning. “My kids have no clue what’s going on. So I don’t really feel it — I spend most of my time at home.”

When it comes to her mom and sisters, however, 37-year-old Kardashian West said they do reflect on how much their lives have changed in recent years.

“We do talk about how crazy our life has been over the past decade,” she said. “And we’re so grateful. We’re so appreciative, and I mean, we’re still exactly the same.”

During the 10th anniversary special of Keeping Up with the Kardashians last year, Kardashian West and her family opened up about allowing their significant others and children to appear on camera, with Kourtney Kardashian, 39, noting that “the boundaries are always changing.”

“We’ll definitely go through moments where we’re like, ‘Cut the kids way back,’ ” she explained.

“It’s funny now that Mason is getting older,” said Khloé Kardashian, 33, of Kourtney and Scott Disick‘s 8-year-old son. “He knows. He doesn’t watch it, but I’ve heard him talk to his friends and say, ‘I’m on a TV show called Keeping Up with the Kardashians.’ I’m like, how does he know that?!”

“Mason calls the filmers,” said Kourtney. “He used to be like, ‘Are the filmers coming? I want to show them my Legos that I’m building.’ Now he’s in a phase where he’s like, ‘I don’t like when the filmers are over.’ ”

For her part, Kardashian West said appearing on KUWTK is “such a personal choice.”

“You can fall in love with someone, and it’s not their job to be on our show,” she said. “Kanye respects what I do and sometimes he’s on, if he happens to be there, or will let us film if we’re at a concert. At first we were like, ‘Our kids will never be on, my daughter is not going to be on.’ But she’s always around me and she’s so cute, so I just want people to see a little bit. It’s never a story revolving them or about them or anything too personal. We know that we signed up for this, but our kids did not.”

House of Horrors Parents: What We Know About David and Louise Turpin, Accused in Abuse of 13 Children

Many people who crossed paths with David and Louise Turpin believed the couple was strange. But nobody could have predicted they were capable of the evil acts they are accused of carrying out against their 13 children.

“Never in a million years did I think were being chained to beds,” a neighbor told PEOPLE within days of the Turpins’ Jan. 15 arrests as the case quickly gained infamy. “I thought maybe they weren’t being properly taken care of but I never had anything to go off of; it was just a mom’s stomach feeling that something wasn’t right there.”

David, 56, and Louise Turpin, 49, were arrested after their 17-year-old daughter climbed out a window of their Perris, California, home and used a disconnected cell phone to call 911, alleging that she and her 12 siblings were being abused and held captive by their parents.

Each parent is being held in lieu of a $ 12 million bond and face numerous criminal charges in the alleged abuse of their kids, who ranged in age from 2 to 29 at the time of the parents’ arrest. The charges include torture, false imprisonment and abuse. Only the youngest child appears to have been somewhat spared from the alleged abuse, according to prosecutors.

Authorities entered their house to find an allegedly horrendous scene of malnutrition and squalor, with some of the children shackled to their beds. Prosecutors allege the Turpins denied their children food — while eating healthy amounts themselves — and only allowed them to take one shower a year. Most of the siblings were unfamiliar with how to use a toothbrush.

Both parents are scheduled to return to court for a hearing on May 4, when the parties could possibly agree on a date for the preliminary hearing for the impending trial.

As the case proceeds through the judicial system, here are four things to know about the couple.

The Turpins

1. When They Got Married, David Was 23 and Louise Was 16

The Turpins were married in Pearisburg, Virginia, on Feb. 11, 1985, when he was 23 and she was just 16. David and Louise reportedly grew up in nearby Princeton, West Virginia, just over the state line.

Louise’s half-brother Billy Lambert spoke with PEOPLE and said his sister met David at church. The two “ran away” to get married, Lambert explained, but they returned home to West Virginia after police caught up with them. At that point, Louise’s disapproving father reluctantly signed off on the union.

They would eventually move to Texas, where David worked as an engineer and Louise would have their first child at the age of 20. After 17 years in Texas, they moved to California, and were planning another move at the time of their arrests.

2. They Distanced Themselves From Relatives, and Renewed Vows to Each Other 3 Times

During heir marriage, the Turpins renewed their vows at least three times, according to the Las Vegas Elvis impersonator who presided over each ceremony.

• Want to keep up with the latest crime coverage? Click here to get breaking crime news, ongoing trial coverage and details of intriguing unsolved cases in the True Crime Newsletter.

As the years passed, the Turpins slowly started to distance themselves from relatives — in some cases, becoming estranged. One estranged relative, Louise’s sister, Teresa Robinette, described some of the couple’s rebellious behavior during an interview with Megyn Kelly in January.

Robinette said the Turpins felt they missed out on some of the fun their friends without kids had, so they started acting differently after having several children.

David and Louise Turpin

As Louise was approaching 40, the couple stopped attending church and “said they were experimenting with different religions.” They also allegedly started going out to bars when, before, they had never even taken a sip of alcohol.

“The very weird thing to me, that I would never do, is she told me her and David met a man online from Huntsville, Alabama, and that they were on their way to meet him,” Robinette said. “She was going to sleep with him, and David was okay with it. I told her I thought it was a mistake. But I know that she met this man at a motel and slept with him in Alabama.”

A year later, Robinette said the couple returned to the hotel, spending the night in the same room on the same bed.

3. Louise Wanted Another Child

Lambert also told PEOPLE that Louise was interested in having another child with David, noting his half-sister had “always wanted a big family.”

According to Lambert, Louise admired reality TV mom Kate Gosellin, of the Kate Plus 8 show, who was the mother of sextuplets and twin daughters.

“She had mentioned the Kate Plus 8 show, that it was a cool reality show,” Lambert recalled. “I think deep down that is what she wanted. The last conversation we had on the phone she had mentioned David is looking into a school bus because their 15 seat van is filled up.”

The Turpins have pleaded not guilty to the charges against them. They face up to life in prison if convicted on all charges.

The Turpins

4. Relatives Allege Louise Is In Denial Over Severity of Allegations

Elizabeth Flores, Louise’s sister, appeared on The Dr. Oz Show and described a prison visit with both parents, and said her sister appeared “almost at peace” and “in a daze,” as if “something’s not clicking right in the head … It’s all ‘woe is me.’”

Flores said she was “shocked” during the visit that Louise did not ask how her children were, and said it was almost as if Louise feels “everything’s going to be alright.” She said she thought her sister was “living a fantasy and she wants to keep it all hidden. She’s playing a game.”

David acted in a strikingly different manner than his wife. He sobbed during the encounter, Flores said.

“When I went in there, I immediately saw that he knew he had done wrong, he was remorseful, he cried the whole entire time. It wasn’t fake.”

David was like “a little boy that was ready to confess everything he had done,” Flores said.

“He kept saying, ‘I wish I could tell you about what we’ve done, what happened.’ … He had been advised not to,” she alleged.

Who Is Emily Ratajkowski’s Husband? Five Things to Know About Sebastian Bear-McClard

Emily Ratajkowski is a married woman.

In a surprise ceremony, the 26-year-old model tied the knot to actor and producer Sebastian Bear-McClard, with whom she only started cozying up in the past few weeks, at City Hall in N.Y.C.

“I got married today,” Ratajowski wrote on a selfie with her new husband as part of a series of pics she posted right after the quick ceremony. In the snap, Bear-McClard kisses the model’s cheek as the couple holds hands. While Ratajkowski went without a massive diamond engagement ring (the couple both are wearing a simple gold band), her hubby flashed two other rings on his fingers that read “EM” and “RATA.”

So who is Bear-McClard? Here are five things to know about Ratajkowski’s husband.

1. He’s an actor and producer

Bear-McClard most recently produced the 2017 film Good Time, starring Robert Pattinson. He’s also worked on several indie films including Heaven Knows What (2014), and Still Life (2006).

In 2014, Joshua and Ben Safdie, a New York-based writer/producer/director duo, launched Elara Pictures with Bear-McClard and producer Oscar Boyson as partners.

Bear-McClard has been nominated for multiple Gotham Independent Film Awards, including Best Feature Film for Good Time. He was also nominated for an Independent Spirit Award in 2014 for Heaven Knows What.

2. He comes from a family of artists

Bear-McClard’s dad is an artist who moved to New York after graduating from the San Fransisco Art Institute.

“Michael was a teen rebel in the 60’s and decided he was an artist and graduated with honors from San Fransisco Art Institute and moved to New York,” Peter McClard, Bear-McClard’s uncle, tells PEOPLE. “He is an amazing artist. Some time in the 70’s he met Liza Bear and though they never married, the Bohemians that they were, they had Sebastian.”

Michael McClard currently has art on display at the Baahng Gallery in New York.

Because of his parents’ involvement in the NYC art scene, Bear-McClard grew up going to galleries and industry parties.

“Sebastian was a great, totally New York-bred kid and spent his youth being dragged to cool art events, parties and surrounded by the hippest of the hip New York art scene in the 80s and 90s.”

3. He is friends with social media star Fat Jewish

Fat Jewish (real name Josh Ostrovsky) served as a witness at Bear-McClard’s wedding ceremony, but the two go way back.

“In High School or shortly thereafter he met some friends and they had a rap group called Team Facelift and Sebastian was their official videographer,” says Peter McClard. “They were hilarious and talented and their frontman was the Fat Jew.”

The social media star also appears in Bear-McClard’s Facebook default photo.

4. His relationship with Ratajkowski has been low-key

Rumors began swirling that they were an item after the producer and model were spotted packing on the PDA on Valentine’s Day.

Though photos of them only surfaced a few weeks ago, they’ve known each other longer, according to sources.

The two had yet to go public until their wedding announcement.

5. He has his family’s support

“We’re proud of him for settling down with Emily and what he’s done and about to do in his film career,” says Peter McClard. “He’s a good, caring guy and a great listener and people love working with him because he gets things done. Apparently, Emily loves him too.”

Everything We Know About Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl Performance — So Far

While football fans everywhere are eager to find out if the Philadelphia Eagles or the New England Patriots will reign supreme at the Super Bowl, pop culture aficionados have more pressing matters to focus their attention on, like Justin Timberlake‘s highly anticipated halftime performance.

As is the case each year, the NFL is keeping mum on details related to its entertainment acts, but that doesn’t have fans (or Timberlake) feeling any less hyped for what’s to come.

Here’s what we know so far about the “Filthy” crooner’s performance:

1. This will be the third time he’s hitting the Super Bowl stage.

This will be the third time Timberlake has performed at the famous championship game. In addition to the 2004 set, he and ‘NSYNC joined a star-studded lineup (including Aerosmith, Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige and Nelly) to sing their classic hits “Bye Bye Bye” and “It’s Gonna Be Me.”

2. It won’t be controversial like his and Janet Jackson‘s 2004 Super Bowl debacle.

Fourteen years ago, the singer took the stage with Jackson to perform his hit “Rock Your Body.” Memorably, at the end of the sexy track’s closing lyrics — “I bet I’ll have you naked by the end of this song” — Timberlake went to remove Jackson’s corset and accidentally tore off her bra too, exposing her bare breast.

Controversy ensued, Timberlake and Jackson issued apologies, and the Federal Communications Commission charged CBS, the network that broadcast the game that year, with a $ 550,000 indecency fine for the incident, dubbed “Nipplegate.”

“To be honest, it wasn’t too much of a conversation,” he told Beats 1’s Zane Lowe of addressing the controversial moment before hitting the stage once more on Super Bowl Sunday. “It’s just one of those things where you go, ‘Yeah what do you want me to say? We’re not going to do that again.’”

3. ‘NSYNC will most likely not reunite on Super Bowl Sunday.

Sad news for ‘NYSYNC fans hoping for a Super Bowl reunion: Joey Fatone appeared to shut down rumors of a regrouping when TMZ caught up with the former band mate. (JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass round out the famous fivesome.)

“I’m here right now — if I was doing something, I’d be at rehearsals right now, so obviously there’s your proof: nothing,” Fatone told TMZ of the potential ‘NSYNC reunion. “There’s nothing wrong with that! He’s doing his thing!”

RELATED VIDEO: Joey Fatone Reveals Whether *NSYNC Will Reunite During Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl Halftime Show

4. … and the same thing can be said about a surprise Janet Jackson appearance.

If you take Fatone’s word on it, that is. “He’s not that kind of person,” Fatone said. “He’s not controversial like that. He is in a sense, but not in a sense to do it deliberately.”

5. He’s stretching and rehearsing like no other.

We can hardly wait for what’s to come.

6. He won’t have a special guest joining him on the stage.

“Well … no,” he admitted during the Super Bowl LII press conference. “To be honest, I had a ton of grand ideas about special guests. There’s a whole list. I think Vegas has a lot of odds on it, from ‘NSYNC to Jay to Chris Stapleton to Janet.” Instead, he says he wants to shine the spotlight on his trusty longtime band, the Tennessee Kids. “I feel like they’re my special guests and I’m excited to rock the stage.”

7. He will be playing ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’ during the halftime show.

Timberlake — who revealed he’s “doing a few things with this halftime show they’ve never quite done before” — confirmed that he’ll play his Oscar-nominated smash “Can’t Stop the Feeling” but warned, “That’s all I am giving away! I’m not giving away anything else, so don’t even try it.”

8. He’ll be wearing custom Stella McCartney.

Talk about a dapper guy! Timberlake will hit the Super Bowl halftime show stage in custom Stella McCartney. The designer and singer drew inspiration from his album, Man of the Woods, for the final look.

Super Bowl LII will be played Sunday, Feb. 4 at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota and will air live on NBC.

Who Is Brad Falchuk? 5 Things to Know About Gwyneth Paltrow’s Fiancé

With Gwyneth Paltrow confirming that she’s engaged to Brad Falchuk after three years of dating, many are curious to know more about the 46-year-old writer-producer.

The couple went public with their romance in April 2015 at Robert Downey Jr.’s 50th birthday bash, after a year of flying under the radar with their relationship. And they’ve been equally shy about their engagement: ET reported that Falchuk popped the question a year ago.

A rep for Paltrow has not commented yet, but a source close to the actress previously told PEOPLE, “She’s crazy about Brad.” Though the source said that she’s “cautious about marriage” and “very happy with how things are,” it wasn’t “out of the question” for the couple to walk down the aisle in the future.

Here are 5 things to know about Falchuk.

1. He’s worked with Ryan Murphy for years

Falchuk began his television career as a writer, working on a few short-lived series before joining the season 1 writing staff of Murphy’s FX series Nip/Tuck in 2003. From there, the two formed a strong bond — teaming up to create Glee (2009), Scream Queens (2015) and the upcoming Connie Britton/Angela Bassett-led 9-1-1 for Fox, as well as the horror anthology series American Horror Story (2011) for FX. He and Murphy also serve as executive producers on the true crime anthology series FX’s American Crime Story, which premiered in 2016 with a season devoted to the O.J. Simpson trial and will open 2018 with a season devoted to the Gianni Versace murder.

2. He met Paltrow on the set of Glee

It was on Glee where Falchuk and Paltrow would meet, as she joined the show in 2010 for a season 2 guest spot to play lackadaisical substitute teacher Holly Holliday. The appearance went so well that Paltrow would reprise her role as Holliday three more times, including the show’s 100th episode in 2014. All in all, she cover 10 tracks on the show — from Joan Jett’s “Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)” and Prince’s “Kiss” to Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide” and her most popular cover, Cee-Lo Green’s “Forget You,” which she later performed life with Green in the 2011 Grammy Awards.

3. He’s a father of two

Falchuk has two children, Brody and Isabella, from his 10-year marriage to Suzanne Bukinik, which ended in a divorce filing in March 2013. He often shares photos of the two on social media — and has taken Isabella with him as his date to the Emmys in the past.

So far there haven’t been any shots of Brody and Isabella with Paltrow’s two kids with the rocker — daughter Apple, 13, and son Moses, 11 — whom she shares with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

4. He gushes about Paltrow on Instagram

Speaking of sharing about loved ones on social media, Falchuk sure hasn’t shied away from expressing his love for Paltrow on Instagram.

“This is the most beautiful woman of all time and today is her birthday,” he wrote in September on Paltrow’s 44th birthday, captioning a photo of her eating pizza, drinking red wine and flashing what he described as “that f—— perfect smile.”  He continued: “We are all so lucky that she came into the world (but no one is luckier than me). Happy Birthday, Love.”

Other photos of Paltrow on his site come from his “getting ready” series, which often features Paltrow in various stages of preparation. “#LegsForDays” Falchuk hashtagged one shot of his fiancée.

5. He’s priming a groundbreaking new television project

Falchuk’s newest project, the pilot of which is currently filming in New York City, is the upcoming FX show Pose. Set in the Big Apple in the ’80s, the show focuses on a “the collusion of various worlds including the elite rich and the downtown ball culture,” according to Entertainment Weekly.

That’s not what makes it unique, of course. No, Pose will break through as the show with the most transgender series regulars of any show in American television history. A first look image of trans cast members Hailie Sahar, Indya Moore, Dominique Jackson, Angelica Ross, and M.J. Rodriguez dropped earlier this month.

Pose also features Evan Peters, Kate Mara, James Van Der Beek, and Tatiana Maslany in major roles. Tony Award winner Billy Porter (Kinky Boots) is also set to appear.

What We Know About the Bumblebee Movie So Far

Now that director Michael Bay has delivered what is supposedly his final Transformers film with The Last Knight, the franchise is ready to expand in new directions in the years to come. The first post-Bay Transformers movie will be Bumblebee, a prequel following the solo adventures of Optimus Prime’s faithful lieutenant.

With the Bumblebee movie reportedly hitting theaters next summer, here’s everything we know so far about this Transformers spinoff, including the director, possible cast and how the film will stand apart from the Transformers movies we’ve seen before.

We’ll see if Bumblebee’s production is impacted by the box office performance of Transformers: the Last Knight. The fifth Michael Bay-directed Transformers film debuted to a franchise-low $ 45.3 million domestically, though it raked in quite a bit more overseas.

Buckbeak Slyly Pooped Onscreen In ‘Harry Potter’ And You Didn’t Even Know

We knew “Harry Potter” was the s**t. We just didn’t know that was literal.

Even if you’re the biggest “Harry Potter” fan, you probably don’t know all the secrets the movies have to offer. Recently, HuffPost stepped into a big one.

In “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” Buckbeak the Hippogriff secretly poops onscreen:

Did you see it? Look again … at Buckbeak’s butt.

See it now?

How did this happen? Was Buckbeak just nervous? Does Hagrid have a magic pooper scooper? IS THIS CALLED A NIM-BUTTS 2000?

We have so many questions.

That’s why we got in touch with Framestore’s Michael Eames, who worked on the computerized characters in the film. The company first came into the franchise, and the world of visual effects, during production of “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.” Framestore then went on to bring some of the series’ most memorable creatures to life, including Fawkes the Phoenix, the Basilisk and, of course, Buckbeak.

Eames confirmed that, yes, Buckbeak takes a poo on screen.

(100 percent. That’s a confirmed poo.)

He also explained how it happened.

Eames told us that plopping in little Easter eggs like a character relieving himself is nothing new in animation. Back in the day, animators were hand-drawing most or all of the frames, so it was common practice to sneak things in for laughs.

“I can’t really go into too much detail with that, but there were some pretty outrageous things that slipped past editorial in those days, but I supposed as an animator you were kind of always looking for an opportunity to have a bit of a laugh on the side, and I guess that’s where that came from,” said Eames.

Here’s that Buckbeak moment one more time for s**ts and giggles (mostly the former):

Eames continued, “If you can be serious on that moment, I think we were trying very much to get a naturalistic feel to the way that Buckbeak behaved as a character, his whole being animalistic. I think he was described at the time by [director] Alfonso Cuarón as a sort of adolescent teenager, so we were trying to kind of place this character we very much wanted to get across in a very sort of real environment. It felt like something that he would do naturally, if there was an opportunity, would be a good idea.”

Eames says he believes his team told the director about the scene and were given the bathroom pass. In his recollection, the animator said Cuarón “thought it was funny and perfectly fitting.”

In addition to that moment, Eames told us that bringing Buckbeak to life was a huge challenge for Framestore, calling the hippogriff a “milestone” character in visual effects.

He explained that up to that point, CG characters “always felt like they needed to be glossed up.”

“There were lots of very [dimly] lit moments for Buckbeak, when he’s in the pumpkin patch for example, and it’s all quite gray and miserable. It wasn’t what you would expect in terms of how you would treat a fully CG, fully feathered, all singing, all dancing character like that, so there was that earthy quality to it.”

Though there were also animatronic versions of Buckbeak, Eames said at a relatively late stage the company was asked to do much more CG work on the film, and that the robotic one may only appear in the movie in two shots.

Buckbeak was built in a collaborative process from the bones up. Thanks to all that work, we finally got an animated character worth giving a crap about — one big, animated crap.

Never Heard Of ‘Dry Drowning?’ What You Need To Know About The Deadly Condition

The Question: Dry drowning was recently ruled as the suspected cause of death for a 4-year-old boy from Texas. What is this medical condition and what are the signs that someone might be suffering from it?

The Answer: We don’t yet know what happened in the tragic case of the child in Texas, but drowning is an issue of heightened concern in the summer.

About 3,500 people die per year in the U.S. due to unintentional drowning. One in five of those deaths is a child under the age of 14. And there’s a large disparity by race: African-American children between the ages of 5-19 are 5.5 times as likely to drown in swimming pools than their white peers.

But to understand any of the terminology about drowning ― and it is confusing ― it’s important to understand what happens when someone drowns.

“Wet drowning,” which is drowning while submerged under water, is what most people think of when they hear the word “drowning.” This refers to when a spasm in the larynx ― a muscular organ in the throat  ― occurs and relaxes the opening to the throat’s airway, allowing water to enter the lungs.

In the event of dry drowning, on the other hand, a laryngeal spasm also occurs, but the muscle at the top of the airway doesn’t completely relax, and so less water enters the lungs, according to Dr. Wassam Rahman, medical director of the emergency center at Johns Hopkin’s All Children’s Hospital.

There’s no clinical difference in the outcome of wet versus dry, Rahman says. In both cases, without medical intervention, death is quick: The laryngeal spasm makes it hard to breathe and oxygen is cut off from the brain. Usually an autopsy determines if a death was wet or dry ― and one can quickly die in a body of water, or shortly after getting out of it, by dry drowning.

But there’s an additional danger with dry drowning ― it could lead to “secondary drowning,” a deadly and hard to spot condition if you don’t know what to look for.

“Suppose a child ducks their head and chokes on some water and is fine,” Rahman told HuffPost. “Then within 24 hours he starts to have some respiratory symptoms ― [secondary drowning] is a delayed [reaction].”

During secondary drowning, a little bit of water gets inside the lungs from say, a near-drowning experience or even something as seemingly benign as being tossed around by waves.

The only difference with secondary drowning is that in the hours following, the lungs respond to the trapped water by swelling, essentially starting to pool with the body’s own water, Rahman explained. Ultimately, the fluid in the lungs makes it hard for the body to produce oxygen. Oxygen blood levels eventually drop, which can cause a slowed heart rate and, in rare cases, cardiac arrest.

If a child develops a cough a couple of hours after swimming or submersion, or cannot catch his or her breath, something might be wrong, according to Rahman.

Chest pain, vomiting, irritability or a drop in energy in the hours after swallowing a large amount of water can also be signs of secondary drowning, according to the American Osteopathic Association.

If you see any of these signs, get medical attention immediately since patient outcome gets worse with the progression of time, Rahman notes.

And watch your kiddos when they’re in the pool or ocean: Drowning is the second most common cause of death by unintentional injury, behind car accidents, among children ages 1-4 years-old, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

For every child that dies from drowning, another five go to the emergency room for nonfatal submersion injuries, according to the CDC. Nonfatal drowning injuries can cause severe brain damage, including long-term learning disabilities, memory impairment and the loss of basic cognitive function.

Some of the top factors that influence drowning risk are lack of swimming ability, a lack of barriers, such as a pool fence, to prevent unsupervised water access and a lack of close supervision while swimming, according to the CDC.

You can never have too many eyes on kids when they’re playing in the water. And learning CPR is a great skill. Seconds count: The more quickly CPR is started on a drowning victim, the better the chance their outcome will improve.

The ABCs Of Fertility Treatments That You Need To Know

For BRIDES, by Kelsey Butler.

Infertility: It’s a topic that is definitely difficult to talk about, but extremely important to discuss as you think about planning for a family. In fact, with about one in eight couples having trouble getting or staying pregnant, it’s likely that you or someone you know is going through this tough battle. To make it even harder, there is an overwhelming amount of information out there (what the heck do some of these acronyms even stand for?). We’re breaking down some important guidelines on when it’s time to head to the doctor and the key fertility treatment terms you need to know.

“We usually define infertility as a woman attempting to conceive by having regular unprotected intercourse [for a certain period of time], depending on the woman’s age,” says Dr. Mazen Abdallah, a reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialist with McGovern Medical School at UTHealth and Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital. “If she’s younger than 35, we say a year of attempt without success. If she’s above the age of 35, we basically say six months of attempt without success. [At that point], we start a workup and then the treatment.”

See More: The 50 Most Beautiful Wedding Cakes Ever

Abdallah, also medical director of the Houston Fertility Institute, says more than half the time the cause of infertility can be determined by a doctor asking questions and reviewing a patient’s history. Here are some of the courses of treatment that can be taken:

Ovulation induction

If a woman is not ovulating, Abdallah says, certain medication will be used (in either pill or shot form) to help her do so. The next step will be continuing to try to conceive through intercourse or via insemination.

IUI (intrauterine insemination)

This procedure is used when there is a mild decrease in the sperm count or motility, or in combination with ovulation induction to up the chance of conception, or also in rare cases when the cervical mucus is abnormal, Abdallah says. To get more specific, in this process the sperm is separated from the semen by “sperm washing” (yup — you read that correctly!) and is placed in the uterus right around the time of ovulation, he notes. According to fertility expert Cristina Torres, CEO and cofounder of Seed, a non-stimulated IUI cycle is one of the least invasive and least expensive fertility treatment options.

See More: The Prettiest Wedding Dresses From the Runway

IVF (in vitro fertilization)

This is often the course of action when there are concerns about a woman’s fallopian tubes being blocked, or if there is some sort of pelvic disease such as adhesions. It is also used when the sperm count or motility is profoundly abnormal, or when the cause of infertility is unexplained and other treatments did not work, Abdallah says. He explains that initially, medication is administered to help a woman produce 10 to 12 eggs. “Then we fertilize the eggs in the lab and the fertilized egg becomes an embryo,” he says. “You grow the embryo for five to six days in an incubator and then you do an embryo transfer and put that embryo in the uterus.”

ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection)

Like IVF, ICSI also involves fertilizing an egg outside the body, in a laboratory, and then implanting it into a woman’s uterus. To break it down further, it differs from IVF in that ICSI is a laboratory procedure in which a single sperm is injected into an egg, typically due to low sperm motility. In IVF, the egg and sperm are mixed together in a dish without further intervention. IVF and ICSI are the “most common and effective types of assisted reproductive technology,” Torres says, though they are some of the most invasive “as they involve a medicated cycle and an egg retrieval procedure.”

See More: What Not to Say to Your Friend Who is Engaged and Pregnant

Mini-IVF (minimal stimulation IVF)

This differs from conventional IVF in that less medication is administered, so that only two to three eggs are produced at a time, compared to 10 or more with conventional IVF. “This is actually tailored to women who do not do well with IVF,” Abdallah says, such as women who are a bit older or have tried IVF in the past and did not have an optimal result.

Egg freezing

This procedure is one of the newest fertility treatments available, according to Abdallah. A woman will undergo an IVF cycle, with medication being administered that will allow the eggs to mature. The eggs are then collected, frozen and stored until it’s a better time for conception. This was originally used for women who were contending with health problems or set to go through intense medical treatments such as chemotherapy. Now, it is available to any woman who wants to preserve her chances of conceiving but isn’t quite ready.

James Corden Delivers Emotional Tribute To The ‘Manchester I Know’

James Corden returned to the “Late Late Show” set on Monday evening to deliver a special message in response to the attack in Manchester at an Ariana Grande concert.

Speaking to the camera on a quiet, empty set, Corden seemed to be on the verge of tears as he acknowledged the victims.

“It shocks me every time we hear this sort of news that attacks like this can happen, but especially when there will be so many children at this concert tonight,” he said.

An Englishman, Corden spoke about many of the good things that came out of Manchester, from its musicians to its sports to its food, and mentioned that it was also the birthplace of suffragette leader Emmeline Pankhurst.

“But when I think of Manchester, the place that I know, I think of the spirit of the people there. And I’m telling you, a more tight-knit group of people you will be hard-pressed to find. Strong, proud, caring people with community at its core. And if it was even possible, the spirit of the people of Manchester will grow even stronger this evening.”

Jimmy Kimmel Shows Trumpcare Supporters Don’t Know A Lot About Trumpcare

It’s a good thing these people are into Trumpcare. They’re gonna need it after Jimmy Kimmel left them burned.

Health care has been a hot topic on Kimmel’s show recently, and it was a focus again with the House of Representatives passing the American Health Care Act, which many have been calling Trumpcare for short.

To address this, Kimmel sent his crew out to find people who are Trump supporters. After finding these people, the crew made up a bunch of awful-sounding provisions in Trumpcare to see what supporters would say.

Unsurprisingly, they’re into it. From veterinarians performing surgeries on people to Uber drivers taking people to hospitals, they’re all for it.

All we gotta say is if an Uber driver is taking us to the hospital, they better have a 5-star rating.

”Jimmy Kimmel Live!” airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC.

Elon Musk Tweeted About Naming His New Boring Machine. You Know What Went Down.

People online just love to name things, and here’s yet further proof.

Elon Musk tweeted Friday about what to call his new tunneling machine, and was immediately deluged with amusing pun-packed ideas.

Boaty McBoatface, the public’s choice of moniker after Britain’s government asked it to name a new polar exploration ship, inspired a raft of suggestions ― as did Musk’s name and various plays on the word “bore.”

The billionaire even chimed in on some of the submissions:

It remains to be seen whether Musk will actually choose one of the suggested names for the machine, which reportedly forms part of his new The Boring Company venture that aims to create underground tunnel networks to relieve traffic congestion.

But for the record, here are some of the funniest suggestions. Our favorites? Borer the Explorer and Borat.

A court trial regarding a 2012 series of topless photos of the Duchess of Cambridge finally began on Tuesday in France, The Telegraph reports.

At the time the photos were taken, Prince William and the Duchess (formerly known as Kate Middleton) were on vacation in Provence, France. The images ran in the French publication Closer, and were met immediately with disdain from the palace.

“Their Royal Highnesses have been hugely saddened to learn that a French publication and a photographer have invaded their privacy in such a grotesque and totally unjustifiable manner,” a statement from the palace read. The statement also called the incident a reminder of the 1997 death of Princess Diana, reminding her family of “the worst excesses of the press and paparazzi during the life of Diana, Princess of Wales, and all the more upsetting for the duke and duchess for being so.”

The royal family threatened legal action in 2012. Now six people, including three photographers, are being questioned in France in connection with the images and their distribution.

According to The Telegraph, a written statement from William was read by the family’s lawyer in French, and it called the photos shocking and unexpected. “We know France and the French and we know that they are, in principle, respectful of private life, including that of their guests,” he said.

He also reiterated that the situation reminded him of what Diana dealt with in her own life. The pair is seeking 1.5 million euros, or a little over 1.6 million U.S. dollars in the suit.

At the time the photos were released, Closer’s editor defended its decision to publish the photos, stating that “ these are pictures that are full of joy. The pictures are not degrading.”

We’ll have to wait and see what the court has to say about that.

Everything You Need to Know About Kylie Jenner’s Epic Met Gala Bathroom Mirror Selfie

Another day, another epic celebrity selfie to dissect.

Today’s masterpiece? The glorious Monday night Met Gala bathroom mirror selfie that united a motley crew of reality stars, models, actors and artists, snapped by none other than the selfie queen herself, Kylie Jenner.

First things first: If you’re wondering who’s who, we’ve got you covered.

Now, what else is there to know about the shot? Let’s unpack this bad boy.

It’s against the rules.

In 2015, the Met, Vogue and Anna Wintour set in place a strict “no-selfie” rule at the annual Costume Institute Gala, stating that the use of phones for photography and social media was not permitted inside the event. So basically, this work of art is fashion contraband.

But that doesn’t really stop anyone.

Like, at all. In 2015 and every year since, celebrities and famous attendees have shamelessly violated the no-selfie ordinance. Last night was no exception: Kim Kardashian West basically provided a play-by-play of the evening on Snapchat, and a slew of stars stormed the bathroom for pictures — some even snapping a few inside the main room.

Brie Larson was really excited about it.

“I needed to go to the bathroom and ended up famous,” the Oscar winner captioned the picture on Instagram.

There’s another angle.

Yup, Kylie wasn’t the only one brandishing an iPhone in there. Sophia Li, an entertainment media editor at Vogue, also uploaded her own version of the group shot, posing alongside model Slick Woods.

Kendall Jenner and A$ AP Rocky are totally a thing.

Not only did they basically spend the whole night glued at the hip and hit the afterparties together, but sisters Kim and Kylie even caught the lovebirds sharing some alone time together at one point.

Paris Jackson is having a moment.

Well, we already knew that. But in case you needed further proof that she’s “homies” with her selfie neighbors, here’s a Boomerang of her dabbing with A$ AP and Ashton Sanders.

Supermodels will be supermodels.

Whether it’s a Vogue photoshoot or a bathroom selfie, Lily Aldridge treats every photo op like the Victoria’s Secret Runway.

Frank Ocean looks adorable when he smiles.

Duck face never dies.

And Kim K. is living proof of that.

Laila Ali on Dad Muhammad’s Passing: I Know ‘He’s His Plain, Free Self Again’

It’s been less than a year since the world lost boxing champion Muhammad Ali and Laila Ali lost her father to a 35-year battle with Parkinson’s disease — but Laila is content that he’s is in a much better place.

“I always talk about my dad. I have no problem with it. He did pass,” she said at the world premiere of the film Gun—in which she has a cameo role as a reporter—at the Beverly Hills Film Festival in Hollywood on Wednesday night.

“We have comfort knowing he’s in a better place now. He struggled hard with this disease for 35 years. He did an amazing job, still doing humanitarian work, being an inspiration to so many people with illness and in general.  So I love him for that.  He’s truly missed.”

The boxing legend died on June 3, 2016 after being hospitalized with a respiratory issue. He was 74.

Though Laila misses her father, she said that he is probably more free now than he was when he was fighting to stay alive.

“My dad wasn’t himself for so many years. It was like a shell of himself, in a body. He couldn’t really communicate the way that he wanted to,” Laila recalled.

“So it’s not like it was so sudden. It was kind of a progression. Like I said, I really do have comfort in knowing that now he’s his plain, free self again, talking, moving, boxing, doing whatever he wants to do. We’ll meet again.”

The TV host, author, actress, lifestyle podcaster and mom of two was excited about plans to get together with her siblings to celebrate her dad’s legacy on Father’s Day.

“I have a podcast, Laila Ali Lifestyle … I talk about fitness, health, wellness and parenting,” she said. “I’m really looking forward to Father’s Day because I want to do a special with my sisters, just our memories of my dad. So I’m looking forward to that.”

She also put to rest the rumors that there was any feuding over inheritance after her father’s passing.

“There’s nine of us. We’re definitely not feuding,” she said. “That’s not true. That’s tabloid stuff. We’ve never been feuding.”

When it comes to boxing, Ali said there is sometimes more to it than her dad.

The film Gun, in which Laila appears, is also about a boxer. This one is a washed-up alcoholic who makes a come back to fight after his top heavyweight contender son is wrongfully blinded in the ring.

“My father is way bigger than boxing. He’s a global icon,” she said when asked if being involved in the film reminded her of her father. “So I don’t even think, oh my dad, any time I think of boxing. I’m a boxer myself. I would think of me before I thought of my dad.”

Laila’s passion now is in women’s empowerment.

“I’m really excited about a project I’m doing with T.J. Maxx, called The Maxx You Project,” she continued. “It’s really encouraging women to embrace the things about themselves that make them unique.”

“I’m always normal and real,” she said, adding jokingly, “We had an episode on vagina 101, for women that had children who want to know some things about tightening it back up. We get real real. So I’m having fun. I’m talking about things that I want to talk about.”

Serena Williams Pens Moving Instagram Post to Baby: ‘You Gave Me the Strength I Didn’t Know I Had’

Serena Williams can’t wait to meet her little bundle of joy.

The tennis champion took to Instagram on Monday morning, posting a moving love note to her unborn baby — just days after news broke that she and her fiancé Alexis Ohanian are expecting their first child.

“My Dearest Baby, You gave me the strength I didn’t know I had. You taught me the true meaning of serenity and peace. I can’t wait to meet you. I can’t wait for you to join the players box next year,” Williams, 35, wrote alongside a photo of herself lounging in a swimsuit.

“But most importantly, I am so happy to share being number one in the world with you …. once again today. On @alexisohanian bday. 😉 from the world’s oldest number one to the world’s youngest number one. — Your Mommy.”

Want all the latest pregnancy and birth announcements, plus celebrity mom blogs? Click here to get those and more in the PEOPLE Babies newsletter.

The sweet post comes as Williams appeared to be on a babymoon. Her Instagram page has been riddled with shots of the athlete on a beach.

The star broke the pregnancy news last week with a simple mirror selfie on Snapchat, writing, “20 weeks” — with her baby bump clearly visible.

A rep for the tennis star later told PEOPLE, “I’m happy to confirm Serena is expecting a baby this fall.”

The headline-making baby news comes just a few months after the tennis great announced that she is engaged to the Reddit co-founder. Williams, who likes to keep her personal life private, made the announcement in a poem on Reddit.

“I came home. A little late. Someone had a bag packed for me. And a carriage waited. Destination: Rome,” she wrote. “To escort me to my very own ‘charming.’ Back to where our stars first collided. And now it was full circle. At the same table we first met by chance.”

Williams added, “But by choice. Down on knee. He said 4 words. And I said yes.” Ohanian posted his fiancée’s Reddit announcement on Facebook, captioning it simply, “She said yes.”

Williams holds the record for the most Grand Slam titles of any player in the Open Era, clinching her 23rd at January’s Australian Open.

This will be the first child for both.

Hey, Donald Trump, The Internet Wants To Know Who General E. Watch Is

President Donald Trump’s tweets often have us scratching our heads. His Monday morning missives were no different — and people had a lot of questions.

Just after 8 a.m., Trump sent out the following:

His ranting and raving about “fake news” and polls isn’t new, but that last part ― a mention of one “General E. Watch” ― is.

Trump has his own sort of lingo, as we’ve seen with phrases “Easy D!” ― which was loosely translated to “easy decision.” But this one is less decipherable. General E. Watch is not a real person (who should not be confused with the very real General E. Lee) nor does it make sense if Trump had meant it as “generally watch.” The syntax is still a hot mess. Maybe “General E” refers to a general election, and the president is telling us to watch out?

We’re not alone in our confusion. Twitter was perplexed too.

And, naturally, jokes were made.

One man simply asked Trump what we were all already thinking:

The tweet mentioning General E. Watch has been up for over an hour and has yet to be addressed. Though Trump did send out a second tweet right after that appears to be unfinished:

He must be busy… being the president.

If you or anyone you know has any hot tips on who General E. Watch is, please let us know. The mysterious figure already has a Twitter account.

Lady Gaga’s New Single Is ‘The Cure’ We Didn’t Know We Needed

Lady Gaga performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival Saturday night and treated the crowd to a brand-new single.

The song, called, “The Cure,” is an upbeat dance-pop number, more in line with her earlier sound ― like 2008’s “Eh, Eh” ― than her latest country-influenced album, “Joanne.” It’s also got some of the tropical house vibes that made songs like Jack U and Justin Bieber’s “Where Are You Now” so catchy.

(Check out the song, which is available on Spotify, Apple Music and Tidal, below.)

Gaga headlined the California music festival this weekend after a pregnant (with twins) Beyoncé was advised by her doctor to pull out of the performance. Judging by some reactions on Twitter, it doesn’t seem like people were too disappointed, though. Plus, it appears Gaga’s performance also involved fireworks.

Gaga will be back to perform at the festival next weekend ― and by then, we’re sure everyone will be able to sing along.

Everything You Need to Know about Prey

The Prey of 2017 is narratively, tonally, and mechanically divorced from the Prey of 2006.

It’s not a sequel or a remake; Instead it’s a “reimagining” that keeps the name, plus the basic principle of a first person shooter where you’re hunted by aliens, and builds something completely new.

Here’s everything you need to know about Prey before it launches.

After the success of the first Prey, work on a sequel fell into development hell. The rights to the game transferred to Bethesda in 2011, but in October 2014 the publisher officially confirmed it was cancelling a game titled Prey 2.

11 Things To Know If You Fall In Love With A Teacher

You won’t meet a more dedicated, selfless person than an educator. That makes them a pretty solid choice for a life partner.

But before you settle down with someone who teaches, there are some things you need to know. Below, educators from around the country share 11 very important pointers.

1. First rule of dating a teacher: Don’t talk about school on the weekend or during the summer.

“Honor the code of silence. During breaks of any type (long weekends, winter, spring or summer breaks) do not initiate school talk unless the teacher brings it up first. We need these breaks to decompress from the rigors of dealing with 150 different personalities who are all trying to be grown. On a similar note, please change the station immediately when school commercials come on in July.” ― Dave Stieber, a high school social studies teacher in Chicago for 10 years

2. Have dinner ready on Friday night.

“When your teacher partner walks through the door on Friday night and can’t bear to make one more decision, you’d better have her favorite taqueria on speed dial.” ― Jennifer Wolfe, a middle school teacher for 26 years

3. And don’t make plans on a Sunday night.

“Teachers think it’s adorable when people ask us to schedule things for Sunday afternoon. You may as well ask us to grow gills. The weekend officially ends for teachers at 11:59 AM on Sunday, at which point we fling ourselves into all the lesson planning and correcting. Yep, we get to do that while everyone else is binge-watching ‘Game of Thrones.’” ― Robert F. Walsh, a middle school English teacher for 18 years

4. Pretend not to see your teacher S.O. “stealing” supplies from home for school.

“The supplies students bring in at the beginning of the year don’t last long. Don’t give your teacher a hard time about buying a couple packs of colored pencils each time she goes to the store or taking some of your own home supply. If you really want to make their day, bring them home a pack of glue sticks or pencils or a bag of Jolly Ranchers from the store.” ― Jessica Carlton, a teacher for 12 years

5. Prepare for the history or math lesson at dinner.

Forgive them the lectures at the dinner table. They can’t help themselves. You don’t have to listen. Just nod occasionally.”  ― Alan Singer, and director of secondary education social studies at Hofstra University and educator for 46 years

6. Understand that you need to share your partner with the students.

“Teachers are naturally unselfish people and they are giving themselves all day long to their students and causes and things. Just as the teacher shares him or herself ― the person who loves them must be OK with sharing them with others. Don’t try to make them choose between who they are and loving you. There is enough love to go around.” ― Vicki Davis, a computer science teacher for 15 years

7. When your S.O. is telling you about a nightmare parent-teacher conference, just listen.

“In my first year of teaching, I came home many nights, ready to quit, and my wife sat down and listened to me patiently. At the end, she simply said that she was proud of me and asked ‘What can I do to help?’ She gave me opportunity to decompress and find the resilience to keep trying.” ― Owen Griffith, an educator for 12 years

8. It’s totally OK ― in fact, encouraged ― to buy them silly ties.

“If your significant other is male, buy him funny ties as presents. His students will love them. The only problem is that your children will be embarrassed.” ― Alan Singer

9. No need to tell your teacher boo “you look tired.” They are 100 percent tired, every day of the week.

“Cut us some slack if we look sleepy. If a teacher is already looking tired on Monday, it is likely that they spent Sunday preparing for the week and grading papers.” ― Clara G. Herrera, a Texas elementary public school science teacher for five years

10. Accept that when they say “my kids,” they mean their students, not your children together.

“My partner and I are both teachers and we have two children of our own. We have learned to stop referring to our students as our kids because it created some confusing situations. Take this example. My partner: ‘Can you believe that one of my kids pulled the fire alarm today?’ Me: ‘Wait, what kid? One of our own children? Do you have other kids that you never told me about?! Oh, you mean one of your students…”  ― Dave Stieber

11. Help them unwind at the end of the day.

“Teachers give all day long. We probably make between 1,000 and 1,500 decisions per day. We also wear many hats: we can be the school nurse, the principal, the parent and the social worker all in one day. We are constantly giving. We encourage, question, guide, discipline, talk and listen all day long. We rarely have enough time to eat lunch. At the end of the day, I hope you can help me recharge by doing little things: give me one hour at the end of the day to wind down, pick up or make dinner or simply run an errand that I cannot get to in time. Little things help me recharge, and they go a long way.” ― Robyn D. Shulman, an educator for 20 years

What Every Person Who Loves A Child Of Divorce Should Know

There are fundamental truths most 5-year-olds understand about the world: The sky is blue. The grass is green. Your family consists of you, possibly siblings and your parents. But that truth is altered if your parents split up.

I was in kindergarten when my parents got divorced. They worked hard to make my reality as normal as possible, but even at a young age I knew something was different about my family compared to my friends’ families.

I wouldn’t change anything about our situation. My mom was my best friend growing up and is to this day; my dad got remarried and he and I gained an amazing family who we can’t picture our world without. The divorce didn’t give me a terrible life. What it did give me was invaluable insight ― especially when it comes to relationships.

The following is what people should know about loving a child of divorce, culled from my personal experience and expert advice:

We worry about commitment.

People whose parents split up might fret more about their serious relationship dissolving ― perhaps seemingly out of nowhere. That’s because our view of commitment may be altered by the divorce, according to Jane Greer, a New York-based marriage and sex therapist.

“Be aware that their feelings about commitment and getting married may have been impacted by the divorce,” Greer told The Huffington Post. “It might have made them reluctant to take the next step … They may feel that it won’t work out.”

We crave relationship validation.

Kids of divorce may feel a greater need to know where they stand with their partner. The best way to do that? Open communication.

“They will do better when they have clarity about where things are going in the relationship,” Greer said. “Feeling secure allows for more openness and more personal sharing.”

And require patience ― particularly around holidays.

Two Christmases and two birthdays may seem like a sweet deal, but they also require a lot of coordination. We worry about this the first time we bring our significant other home because it can get a little hectic and we don’t want it to scare them away. But trust us, the reward of spending time with so many people (and the food and presents, of course) is worth it in the end.

Fights will sometimes scare us.

Admittedly, kids who’ve grown up around fighting parents may not be the best at handling conflict. More specifically, we may be a bit averse to it because we fear we might be abandoned altogether.

“Children of divorce can sometimes be more sensitive during arguments as they may have witnessed their parents arguing in front of them,” Jacqueline Newman, a New York-based family law specialist, told HuffPost. “They may take more extreme positions and think that a small tiff could be the end ― simply because as children the fights they did see led to the ending of the relationship.”

But we know it’s okay to call it quits if the relationship isn’t working out.

Some of us may have come to understand in time why our parents decided to separate and know that it was ultimately the best decision for everyone involved. We may carry this lesson into our own relationships. We know divorce ― eventually ― isn’t the end of the world.

Our family dynamics will likely be more complicated than yours.

Some kids of divorce may be closer to one parent than another. This could depend on factors like the terms of divorce, who became the main caregiver and even how other siblings interacted with each parent, Newman said.

“I recommend that when dating someone who has this type of family connection that you try to understand it rather than be annoyed by it,” she said.

We’re resilient.

If our parents divorced when we were younger, we had to bounce back from a heavy situation earlier than most people our age.

“I think that children of divorce are often more resilient than children who grow up in intact families, because they have to be,” Newman said. “Depending on how the parents handle the situation, many children grow up way faster than they should and have to handle adult emotions in a way that they do not understand.”

We love hard.

Kids of divorce treat relationships with the gravity they deserve. We not only want love to be successful ― we’ll do everything we can to make it happen. That includes not settling, staying open and working through our own issues to make sure we’re approaching our unions in the healthiest possible way.

Because ultimately, we know relationships are worth it.

Ed Sheeran’s First Date with Girlfriend Was Taylor Swift’s July 4 Party: ‘You’re Like, “Holy F—, I Know Everyone Here!”‘

Did Ed Sheeran‘s girlfriend get longtime friend Taylor Swift‘s stamp of approval? Yes — and then some!

“Well, our anniversary is her 4th of July party,” Sheeran, 26, tells PEOPLE of risk advisory consultant Cherry Seaborn, 24, whom he began dating in the summer of 2015 after Swift hosted them at her famous Independence Day fête at her Rhode Island home.

“I’ve known Cherry since I was 11,” adds the “Shape of You” singer — whose third album ÷ debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 — of his girlfriend. “She worked on Wall Street in New York, and I had like six shows .”

“It was around then, and we reconnected. I went on tour again, and then I went to Taylor’s 4th of July party. I was texting , and she was like, ‘I’m in Rhode Island at a 4th of July party,’ and I was like, ‘So am I.’ I kinda said to Taylor, ‘Can I invite one of my old schoolmates?’ The rest is history.”

Indeed, last summer, Sheeran and Seaborn celebrated their one-year anniversary at Swift’s 2016 soirée, as documented by Swift’s childhood pal Abigail Anderson on Instagram.

Swift’s annual summer bashes have fueled headlines the past few years, with squad members from Karlie Kloss and Blake Lively to Gigi Hadid and Cara Delevingne descending on her estate for the holiday weekend.

“It’s just a load of like-minded people that you would never expect to see in the same place, together,” Sheeran says of the parties. “I found myself chatting to Ryan Reynolds for a long time, and I did not expect to see him there. ’s kind of a magnet for like-minded people, and they’re always super-sweet. Anyone that’s around her is very, very nice. It’s a fun party. But it’s a lot of stories. You walk in, and you’re like, ‘Holy f—! I know everyone in here!’ It’s cool.”

In addition to providing a space for Sheeran’s relationship to blossom, Swift and Seaborn have become friends themselves, the “Castle on the Hill” singer says.

“Her and Taylor have hung out without me quite a few times; I think they have gal chats,” he says. “I don’t know what they get up to, talking about cats or whatever.”

Sheeran’s new album ÷ is out now; he’ll kick off his North American tour on June 29.

Princess Charlotte will be two years old on May 2 — but she’s got a personality way bigger than her little size would have you believe. Here is everything we know about the feisty, fun-loving little princess:

1. She’s close with her big brother, Prince George.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte don’t just look like the most adorable sibling pair — they actually are. During the unveiling of a new war memorial in London, Kate said that her two children are becoming “really good friends,” according to Samantha Burge, who spoke with Kate at the event.

2. She’s boss lady.

Prince George may have a lot of personality, but in the Cambridge house, it’s Charlotte who rules the palace. Also at the unveiling, Kate revealed that Charlotte is the “one in charge,” according to Burge. It makes sense: She is the Queen’s mini-me, after all.

3. She loves animals.

Last fall, Charlotte attended her first official playdate in Canada. (It was pretty much the cutest thing ever.) While she was there, she made a couple new friends — a little bunny and a service dog named Moose. She had a big smile on her face during her interactions with both. And we know she loves her dog, Lupo, and hamster, Marvin!

4. And balloons.

When she first arrived at the playdate, though, there was only one thing on Charlotte’s mind: touching the balloon arch. And she worked it like a pro.

5. She wears her brother’s clothes.

That Canadian playdate was a revealing afternoon! Eagle-eyed royal watchers also noticed something familiar about the blue cardigan wore to the playdate. Turns out, it was the same cardigan Prince George wore to the hospital when he was going to meet his baby sister! Sharing clothes, though, is a royal tradition, as we know.

6. She’s got a lot of toys.

When you’re a royal baby, you get gifts from people all over the world. So it makes sense that Charlotte’s toy chest is bursting, whether it’s with cuddly toys from her uncle, Prince Harry, or Charlotte’s favorite, according to her mom, Princess Kate — teddy bears, which she picked up in Canada.

7. She likes candy.

She may be a royal kid, but in some ways, Charlotte is just like all kids. After attending Christmas services with her family, she munched on a candy cane — as did her brother George!

8. She’s an equestrian.

Well, maybe one in training. While attending an event to meet and honor British Olympians at Buckingham Palace in October 2016, Princess Kate revealed that Charlotte already has developed a love of horses. Hey, if her grandmother is still riding at 90, it’s clearly in her genes!

9. She’s feisty.

Back in June 2016, just after Charlotte’s first birthday, Princess Kate revealed her little cutie has a feisty side (which we later saw on display during that playdate).

10. She’s really, really cute.

But you already knew that, right?

Austin Couple Turns Their Love of Ice Cream Into Sweet Success: ‘We Know How Happy It Makes People’

Ice cream has always played a sweet role in Chad Palmatier and Anthony Sobotik’s relationship.

In March 2005, when Chad, 43, introduced his then-new boyfriend Anthony, 35, to his family in Lancaster, Pa., the first thing they all did was head to their favorite ice cream corner shop to celebrate. And Sobotik, a self-taught chef, couldn’t get enough of the homemade treat.

“I was fascinated that they were using local ingredients and it was a family-run shop,” he tells PEOPLE.

Three years later, during a visit to Sobotik’s family home in Austin, the pair wanted to go out for ice cream again — but found only chain shops nearby. “And I was like, ‘Why isn’t anyone opening a shop here that uses local milk and cream and all the ingredients we have in Austin?’ ” recalls Sobotik.

So they did. In 2010, the couple sold their home in Ohio, moved to Austin, Texas, and opened Lock Honest Ice Creams with a mandate to use only wholesome ingredients from local farmers. “We want to support our local dairies and farmers,” Sobotik says. “That’s really important to us.”

With Sobotik dreaming up inventive flavors (Cilantro Lime, Texas Sheet Cake and Dewberry Corn Cobler), and Palmatier, a former store designer for Victoria’s Secret, focusing on branding, they’ve learned that starting a business with your partner can take a toll.

“The first year was so stressful,” says Palmatier. “Creating something together is all-consuming, and we were both just exhausted. But we’ve weathered every storm, it’s made us stronger as a couple.”

Three stores later (and a fourth opening this spring), it all comes back to the simple art of scooping. “We make a product that brings joy to people,” says Sobotik. “We know how happy it makes people.” And, of course, themselves. Adds Palmatier, “Anthony will still polish off a pint every now and then!”

Hot Men Do Yoga in Kilts in This Borderline NSFW Video You Didn’t Know You Needed to See

There’s goat yoga, ganja yoga and Drake yoga — and now there’s kilted yoga, which may just top all the others.

BBC The Social created a 57-second video of Scotland-based Forrest Yoga teacher Finlay Wilson and his student Tristan Cameron-Harper (who also happens to be a professional ice hockey player and Mr. Scotland 2016) performing a series of yoga poses in kilts and — spoiler alert — they are not wearing any underwear while doing them.

The video — which has been viewed over 123,000 times since it posted on Monday — shows the two bearded, shirtless men performing their poses in an idyllic forest setting.

These Asian Men Are Sexy And They Know It (And They Can Dance, Too)

Asian men are sexy and they know it.

In a new video from comedy duo Seventh Grade, Asian guys with some serious dance moves get down to “Pony” by Ginuwine and effectively thrust aside Steve Harvey’s recent remarks about women not finding Asian dudes attractive.

Take a look:

And here’s another preview, just for good measure:

Last month, Harvey laughed hysterically at a 2002 book called How to Date a White Woman: A Practical Guide for Asian Men. The TV host just couldn’t buy into the idea that any woman would want to date an Asian guy. (He later apologized.)

In an interview with The Huffington Post, Geo Lee said he and Chuck Maa, the co-creator of Seventh Grade, were taken aback by Harvey’s comedy bit.

“When we first heard it, Chuck actually said out loud, ‘What? Is this real life?’ We honestly thought the ‘joke’ was a bit dated,” Lee told us. “At the same time, we weren’t surprised because both of us and most likely a lot of Asian American men have been dealing with this for the majority of our lives.”

Dealing with it but not taking it lying down. Seventh Grade is breaking down stereotypes with their grade-A sense of humor and ~steamy~ choreography.

At the end of the video, the guys all joke that they don’t need to worry about their attractiveness since they all have girlfriends anyway. But that’s not exactly true.

“We lied in the video,” Lee said. “Chuck is currently single.”

Everything You Need To Know About The Baby Iguana Scene From ‘Planet Earth II’

Watching baby iguanas run for their lives across a beach looming with deadly snakes ― snakes that would love nothing more than to strangle the tiny hatchling bodies in a wildly violent display of team acrobatics ― is a startling experience.

Fans of nature documentaries like “Planet Earth” are familiar with the near-hopeless trots of sea turtles, who emerge from their eggs seconds before being ambushed by a predatory welcome party. Marine iguanas in the Galapagos, it turns out, face a similar fate. After a victorious battle through an eggshell and a few layers of sand, they are immediately met by a menagerie of natural “bad guys,” a gang of winged and land-dwelling monsters that just want a bite to eat.

Most sinister among them is the hefty population of snakes that moves together like slippery black tumbleweeds to nab a hatchling. “Planet Earth II” producer Liz White says the entangled groups of reptiles look like a “Medusa’s head of snakes,” simultaneously moving toward their desired prey while battling their neighbors in an up-down-and-all-around dance. It’s the sort of David-vs-Goliath scene that seems possible if only for some camera trickery or post-production TLC. Alas, it’s real. And David Attenborough’s team of wily nature filmmakers has documented the whole nightmarish thing.

The baby iguana saga is but one story in one episode of the BBC’s beloved “Planet Earth” follow-up series, “Planet Earth II,” narrated by Attenborough. The string of six episodes opens with “Islands,” directed by White and starring the fortuitous marine iguanas of the Galapagos, setting a high standard for the kind of heart-pumping storytelling and high-definition graphics that set the show apart from the rest.

Ahead of its American premiere on Saturday, The Huffington Post spoke to White about iguanas, anthropomorphized narratives, what’s it like to be a woman in a male-dominated field, and why you should be paying attention to the episode’s albatrosses, too.

So I want to start with that unforgettable iguana scene: How did you set up for a shoot like that?

For that one, I really wanted to do a story about marine iguanas. Well, I wanted to do a story about Galapagos, because you can’t make a show about islands and not mention Galapagos. I personally think marine iguanas are really cool because they look like little Godzillas and they swim and they’re so unique. So the twist for that was coming up with a story that was different, because we couldn’t just do a kind of revelation of, “You’ll never guess what. These marine iguanas can swim!” We wanted to show the iguanas swimming, but then the big thing was: What else can we say about them beyond that?

I was batting around an idea with a cameraman who was going to shoot it. He said, “Well, you know, I filmed the [iguana] hatchlings. Did you know the hatchlings come out of the sand just like turtle hatchlings, because that’s the only place for the mother to lay the eggs?” He said nobody ever tells that story, and actually, [the hatchlings] get preyed upon by hawks and snakes ― all sorts of things come at them. Everyone does turtles, so we should do marine iguanas. And he showed me a clip of a single snake ambushing a marine iguana ― a baby. And I was like, “Oh, that’s cool … kind of grave. We could do something dramatic, high-speed.” That was the plan. And we were going to focus on all the other animals that sort of piggy-back. So the bottom line of that story was really going to be, “Hey, there are marine iguanas in Galapagos. They’re really successful, but these are all the other animals that benefit from them being so successful.”

We had no idea we were going to see that density of snakes we did. We expected to see like, single snakes. When we got there to the peninsula where we filmed it, we went to a number of different beaches. One area [had] such a high wall and almost a bottleneck at the end of the beach. In Galapagos, there are also some regulations. You can’t just run across the beach. You’ve got a park ranger with you. You’re not allowed to get too close to the animals. All this is so protected. We were literally standing at the top of the beach when a little hatchling ran toward the wall and this Medusa’s head of snakes poured out. It was not what we were expecting in terms of ambush, because the snakes were competing with each other so much they were having to pull out of the wall and chase. So that, for me, was like, wow. I’ve never seen snakes hunting fast like that. And I’ve never seen them in that sort of numbers. So then we just completely focused on that one part of the beach.

How long did it take to amass enough footage to cut together a chase sequence like you did?

We were filming it for about two weeks, just focusing on the iguana babies. We had to get the close-ups of the emergences. When you’re in the field, you don’t always know how good you’ve got, in the sense that it’s quite hard to actually see on a small camera monitor whether something is truly in focus. So sometimes, when you see an amazing event, you go, “Wow, that looks amazing.” But it’s only when you go back to the boat that night and look at the footage, that you go, “Do you know what? It’s really out of focus.” Or it just didn’t work or whatever. We think it took us about 12 to 14 days before we thought, “OK, I think we’ve got enough to be able to have an epic story.” If you look at it really closely ― some of that most epic chase is out of focus. But it’s subtle. Most of it is slowed down, because so much of it happens incredibly quickly. It’s a very challenging thing for the cameraman to film.

So, we did about three weeks [in Galapagos in total]. The team would be on the beach looking for baby iguanas, because you don’t know when they’re going to emerge and where from. A lot of time is spent just watching them, with pairs of binoculars, trolling up and down the beach, looking. But one of the cameramen could go off and film other bits. We also had to do all of the underwater [filming], which is itself a big thing. So, it was a solid three-and-a-half weeks to get the bulk of that footage and all the elements of that story.

Does a lot of the storytelling come together in editing? You know, you have this whole chase scene, and it appears like it’s one iguana throughout. Is it one iguana?

Predominantly one. I mean, we sometimes use big close-ups of faces that you can’t necessarily get at the time. You go with one event, but then things like the shots of the snakes crawling out ― some of those are picked off separately, because even with two cameramen you can’t cover [everything]. What was good with this shoot is we did have two cameramen. It’s obviously difficult to cut together action from different events. So you really want to, basically, follow one individual as much as you can. By having a long-lens cameraman who can get close-ups, in combination with a second cameraman who’s on a moving camera, that meant that we were going to be getting two eyes on the action. And then in the edit, you’ve got something to cut between.

Was the kind of research or storyboarding that went into planning that story similar to the kind of planning that went into other stories in the “Islands” episode?

It’s typical in so much that you go in knowing what a story is going to give you. You go to, say, film albatrosses. And that’s a story all about animals using islands as sanctuary. It was going to be a love story. It was going to be about an albatross waiting for its mate. So you sort of go in knowing what your story blocks are going to be. And roughly how you want to tell the story; the choice of perspective. We wanted the viewer to be in the animal’s world ― you have to be on their eye level. Sometimes we have shots that haven’t got an animal in them, but you feel like you’re the animal moving through that habitat. A lot of [shots] use low-to-the-ground, moving imagery that helps put you into that world. That was very much a stylistic choice for the whole series.

But yeah, you go in with your building blocks. But then when you’re there, you have to slightly work with the individual situations that you get. It’s nature, and it doesn’t always pan out exactly the way you expect it. You can’t storyboard to the very individual shot level. It’s like a unique kind of genre in filmmaking, because you borrow from drama in the way it’s told. But you’re using real observational documentary. My exec always says it’s almost like David Attenborough invented a genre that you really don’t see anywhere else.

One of the interesting things about the “Planet Earth” series is that it’s not just providing viewers with clips of nature in action, it’s providing viewers with these sort of anthropomorphized narratives. For example, we see penguins having families similar to our own, sloths falling in love.

The anthropomorphization is a tricky one. We very much try not to say anything that’s too anthropomorphic. We basically try and show images that people can relate to. Where people will intrinsically go, “Alright, I can imagine being in that situation. I would feel like this.” We’re trying to get people to bond with the animals. We’re trying to get people to empathize and say, “Oh, yeah, I get a better perspective on how that animal lives its life.” And a bit better respect, I guess, in a way.

But you have to very careful with the script, that you don’t say anything too anthropomorphic. For example, I think the most anthropomorphic-edged story in the “Islands” episode is the story of the albatross waiting for its mate. The reality is, we were working with a scientist who knows those birds. If one of those birds doesn’t come back, they won’t mate. They’re so monogamous that they will sit and wait. [The scientist] knows that pair has been together for five years or whatever it is. So we can use a line that says, “There are 3 million birds on the island, but only one matters to him.” Because that’s true. That bird does not care about any other individual on the island apart from his mate.

The storytelling in this series probably is softer, perhaps gentler, than some. The way it is written is probably, in many ways, more anthropomorphic, light touch than we’ve done before. I don’t know how much of that is the fact that there’s been so many women involved in the team ― there’s quite a few girls on the team. I do think it has quite a sensitivity to it.

Also, David [Attenborough] goes through everything. He won’t say anything he thinks is too anthropomorphic. He’ll only say things he thinks are factual. He very much ran with this idea that, we want to be in the animals’ world. We write it in a very gentle way which allows it to sort of be a bit more accessible to people who might not be so into natural history.

At the beginning of the series, David Attenborough mentions that many of the wildernesses celebrated in “Planet Earth II” have never been more fragile or precious than they are today. How do you see a series like “Planet Earth” contributing to contemporary discussions of climate change?

The thing is, the “Planet Earth” brand is all about wonder and revelation. It is not a hard-hitting conservation stance. There are other people doing hard-hitting conservation. The brand “Planet Earth” has always been about making people excited and showing people the wonder of the nature with the view that, if people get inspired by it, they’ll want to protect it. But often the actual fragility method hasn’t been in there at all. No, in this series, almost every single episode has got one story in it that is about why that habitat is fragile. So for “Islands,” it’s the invasive specials. In “Jungles,” we talk about trees getting cut down. Obviously in cities, it’s all about how some animals are thriving in cities, but most can’t. That’s the most thought-provoking in the lot. How can we make it ― not just as a city but as a planet ― more hospitable to life and us.

So it is about the wonder of nature and the celebration of these beautiful wildernesses and the animals who live there. But, with a very … not a somber, but a pragmatic reminder that these wilderness are fragile. And some people would say we didn’t go far enough and we should have made it more conservation-y. Other people, I think, really got the message very strongly. Like, “Oh my gosh, I really think this is the last time I’m ever going to see this unless we do something to protect it.” So it is subtle. And it’s debatable ― all the different ways you can do it. But I think our reasoning on this has always been: Don’t go in there being negative. If you tell people the whole planet is screwed, what hope have they got? If you go in there and say, “Look at these wonderful things we still have. And we can protect them and we must remember these things are fragile,” then it’s a more empowering message.

It’s interesting, because we obviously spend a lot of time out in the field with scientists and almost all of them say, “I am doing this job because I used to watch David Attenborough shows as a kid and I was inspired by nature, and now I’m a conservationist.” So you see it from the other way, that you might not feel like you’re making an immediate difference, but if any of one of the kids go on to become a politician who goes on to make a big difference, we’ve made a difference.

Earlier you mentioned the role of women in the making of “Planet Earth II.” Obviously, the filmmaking industry in general isn’t exactly a bastion of gender parity. Do you feel like there’s a growing presence of women in the realm of nature documentarians?

Yeah, very much. I think women are brilliant storytellers and I think they’ve got a lot of sensitivity. They’re not going to go in there and just want the kind of the brutal fight scenes. They’re going to want to tell some of the more subtle stories. And certainly on this team, there were a huge number of female directors. Women are not breaking into camerawork as quickly as you might want. There are only about three or four women regularly working [behind the camera] in my network. But we did have female camerawomen in this series. There aren’t many to choose from, to be honest.

But what is amazing is the number of female researchers, directors, producers. It is an industry that women can do really well in. Women can be very good biologists, they’re really good in the field, they’re really resilient. The island we filmed the penguin scene ―  that was a team of eight, three of whom were women. Me as the director, a very experienced female film assistant who’s done 12 seasons in Antarctica, and one of the skippers handling the boat through the roughest ocean on the planet ― female skipper. So there is quite a good girl presence in the natural history industry. Women are brilliant storytellers, so there’s nothing to stop women from succeeding in that sort of world.

There are certainly some places it would be easier to work than others. I did a shoot on an oil platform a few years ago and that is such a male-dominated environment it was one of the toughest shoots I’ve ever done, because they found it quite difficult to deal with me as a woman. But that is unusual. Most of the time people are really accepting of you. I think men quite like having women in the field. They have a lot of respect, if they see you muck in as a woman and get on with things. Often, you might be the only woman there. But it doesn’t stop you from doing a good job.

What motivated you personally to move from being a research biologist to working in documentary?

I wanted to do something more creative. My background is: I did art and photography things in school. I love storytelling. My parents said, “Get a proper degree.” You know, “Go and do science and get a proper job.” And I was fascinated by biology. I went down the biology route and found myself doing marine stuff, because I really loved that. I always wanted to stay away from doing lab stuff. I wanted to do something a bit more creative ― and communicative. Women are great communicators; women like telling stories. So I started going more into public communication of science rather than writing papers. I just found it more satisfying. You know, I did two school talks yesterday afternoon. After you show them pictures of the nature world ― you show them pictures of penguins and amazing places ― they’ve got eyes like saucers and they ask the most amazing questions. That’s really satisfying.

What has been a high point for you in your career in filmmaking?

Oh, this series was amazing to work on. For some of the trips, going to places where you think, “Gosh, I never imagined I’d get to go there.” And, for me, I love the camaraderie of working in a team, working in a small team where you’re all working for a common goal. But the other series I really loved doing was “Frozen Planet” because I’ve always loved penguins. And again, to be a girl and get to go to those locations ― my mom never got to go to Antarctica, because that was 40 years ago and women never got to go and do those things. And yet, for me, I can go in and film killer whales and penguins and polar bears. Seeing wilderness places, and the reminder that you’ve still got these amazing places that are still out there, it’s beautiful.

Last question: what is the most perilous environment you’ve been in?

For me, probably crossing the Southern Ocean to go and do the penguin filming and go down to the Antarctic peninsula. That’s a rough ocean; anywhere in the Southern Ocean is kind of dangerous in that sense. But you always work with amazing skippers ― you have to work with people you trust.

But I should say that I am massively risk-averse. Like, you would never get me jumping from a plane or bungee jumping. I don’t massively like jungles because I don’t really like snakes and spiders! [Laughs] I would much rather be on a boat in the Southern Ocean that be hanging off a tree in the jungle.

“Planet Earth II” premieres Saturday, Feb. 18, at 9 p.m. ET, simulcasting across BBC America, AMC and SundanceTV. The remaining episodes of the season will air Saturdays at the same time on BBC America.

We May Already Know The Cliffhanger Coming In ‘Game Of Thrones’

A “huge cliffhanger” is coming …

In a recent interview with Time Out for Netflix’s “iBoy,” Maisie Williams described Season 7 of “Game of Thrones” by saying, “It’s just kind of tumbling now.”

The actress continued:

We’ve come to the climax and it’s rolling down to the end. It’s exciting. I really felt like at the end of last season everything was set up for how it was going to end. Every character came to a little junction in their lives. Now we’re all going to crash down together to however this show ends.

Williams says fans can expect “a huge cliffhanger” on the way, though we may already know what that is.

A number of “Game of Thrones” leaks came out late last year on Reddit. Usually supposed leaks hit the internet and one can quickly dismiss them, but these leaks have gradually been getting confirmed

Warning: Potential spoilers ahead.

One of those leaks posited that the season ends on a pretty major cliffhanger, just like Williams teased.

The Wall will fall at the end of the season, while Jon and Dany have sex.

Wow. Just as Khaleesi supposedly Winter-falls into your arms, the Wall will come crashing down. You know nothing about romance, Jon Snow

As more proof that the teased cliffhanger is the Wall coming down, remember Williams’ verbiage as she described the season: It’s all “tumbling” now. The cast is going to “crash down” together.

It’s doubtful Williams intentionally peppered in words that hint at the ending.

(The actress already went on record saying people who leak spoilers from “Game of Thrones” are sad. A girl hates it.)

But it all fits kind of perfectly, and as the United States Postal Service says, “If it fits, it ships.” Or in Jon and Dany’s case, if their relationship fits, we’ll ‘ship.
