The Attico Teams With Eres, Linda Farrow to Fete New Web Site

GETTING DIGITAL: “Luglio col bene che ti voglio,” which in English translates to “July, the love I feel for you,” is not only a popular song from the late Sixties, but also the name of the first see-now-buy-now capsule collection that will go live on July 12, marking the official debut of The Attico’s new web site.
Founded in 2016 by Giorgia Tordini and Gilda Ambrosio, the women’s wear label is going to offer a full digital immersion into the brand with a web site that combines an online store with a content section peppered by collaborations with up-and-coming talents from different fields, ranging from art, cinema and photography to food and design.
In addition, the e-commerce site — operated by Milan-based company The Level Group, which manages the online shops of a range of brands including Dolce & Gabbana, Stuart Weitzman and Woolrich — won’t only carry the label’s ready-to-wear and accessories collections. It will actually sell limited-edition capsule dedicated to a specific theme. Along with pieces designed by Tordini and Ambrosio, the capsule will include items developed by other brands.

First Look! Linda Hamilton Is Back in Action at 61 in Next Terminator Movie

Linda Hamilton — it’s good to have you back!

The actress, 61, is set to make a major comeback next year in her third film in the Terminator franchise. (The sequel is currently untitled.)

In a first look released by Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions, Hamilton means business as Sarah Connor, a woman hellbent on defending Earth from evil robots. She’s pictured armed with a rifle, a bulletproof vest and lots of ammunition.

Unlike the other two women in the photo — franchise newcomers Natalie Reyes as Dani Ramos and Mackenzie Davis as Grace — Hamilton sports her character’s signature aviator sunglasses. Talk about bada—.

The movie, which is currently in production, is billed as a sequel to James Cameron’s first two Terminator films: The Terminator (1984) and Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991). Three other films have since followed Cameron’s sequel, with the last in the franchise being Terminator: Genisys (2015), which starred Emilia Clarke and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Schwarzenegger, 71, is also starring in the upcoming movie, marking a reunion for Hamilton and the actor.

It opens November 22, 2019.

NCIS: Los Angeles’ Linda Hunt Recovering After ‘Minor Traffic Accident’

Linda Hunt is on the mend after a car crash on Monday left her hospitalized.

The 73-year-old Oscar winner and NCIS: Los Angeles star told CBS2 Los Angeles on Tuesday that she didn’t suffer any serious injuries in the wreck and was getting back on her feet.

“Yesterday I was involved in a minor traffic accident and taken to the hospital,” Hunt said in a statement to the outlet. “I’m pleased to report I’m recovering well and have no serious injuries. Thank you for all the well wishes! I’m looking forward to starting production on NCIS: Los Angeles later this summer.”

A rep for Hunt did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

TMZ was first to report Hunt’s crash. According to the outlet, she was making a left turn when the black BMW SUV she was driving collided with two cars.

“An eyewitness tells us Hunt struck a sedan and then collided with a Honda SUV,” TMZ reported. “Hunt was visibly shaken, and witnesses escorted her to a lawn chair on the sidewalk. We’re told paramedics evaluated Linda on the chair and then determined she needed to be taken to the hospital.”

Pictures from the scene captured paramedics speaking with Hunt before her hospital visit. The other drivers suffered minor injuries from the crash, TMZ reported.

Hunt won a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award in 1983 for her performance in The Year of Living Dangerously. She made history as the first star to win an Oscar for playing a role of the opposite sex.

The New Jersey native has since gone on to appear in more than 200 NCIS: Los Angeles episodes, as well as tackle roles in The Practice, Carnivàle, and Disney’s Pocahontas (in which she voiced the character of Grandmother Willow).

Sacai Teams With Linda Farrow on See-Now-Buy-Now Range

NEW VISION: In a first for both companies, luxury eyewear label Linda Farrow has collaborated with Sacai on the launch of a see-now-buy-now line of sunglasses.
The collection made its debut on the runway at Sacai’s fall show and was available moments later on Net-a-porter.com.
Designer Chitose Abe applied her signature technique of cutting and splicing pieces to create interesting hybrids for four classic eyewear shapes. She re-created classic aviators and round and square-framed sunglasses by fusing sleek, silver metal frames with acetate ones, in a palette of navy, black and white.

“I like to play with the most authentic, pure form of a product and to find ways to create something new and unexpected that still feels real,” said Abe. “My goal was to create sunglasses that I’d personally love to wear.”
All styles retail for 285 pounds, or $ 435.

Sacai has been increasingly focusing on expanding its accessories offer over the last few seasons. A footwear collaboration with Pierre Hardy also made its debut on the fall runway, while the brand’s handbag line — a project Abe works on with British accessories maven Katie Hillier — made its debut last October at Selfridges, Bergdorf Goodman and Colette.

Linda Farrow Taps Four Digital Influencers for Spring Capsule

DIGITAL VISION: Linda Farrow is sidelining designers in favor of digital influencers for its spring capsule collection.
The luxury eyewear brand, which is known for its seasonal collaborations, has so far been teaming with a host of designers to create capsules. They have ranged from established names such as Matthew Williamson and Dries Van Noten to younger, eccentric labels including KTZ, Yazbukey and Bahrain-based Khaleda Rajab.
For the latest capsule, the brand has instead tapped four influencers: Australian native Nicole Warne, known for her blog Garypeppergirl.com; Leaf Greener, a Chinese stylist and publisher of her own WeChat fashion magazine; Elena Perminova, a Russian model and founder of Instagram charity “SOS by Lena Perminova,” and the Netherlands-based Negin Mirsalehi, who is a vlogger and founder of a hair-care line.
The four women, who boast a combined following of up to 7 million, have designed one pair of sunglasses each and are featured together in a new campaign promoting the collection, shot by Mariano Vivanco.
Simon Jablon, the brand’s chief executive officer, said the decision to work with the influencers was based on the idea of “global togetherness,” and on teaming people with whom the Linda Farrow customer can relate to.

Why You Should Start Over With Linda Lavin at 54 Below

There is a line in Matilda where Mr. Wormwood sings: “All I know I learned from telly.” It’s meant to be a negative, and I get why, but I am not ashamed to admit that I learned a lot from television. Two shows I watched many times growing up were Alice and Knots Landing, mostly in reruns. So needless to say I was extremely happy when The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife was announced. This was before I covered theater for a living, back when I was a mere fan, and I knew I had to go. Lucky for me, not only did I see Linda Lavin and Michele Lee in that, but I’ve 2015-09-11-1442007389-4141635-LindaLavin.jpgseen them both since, Lavin more frequently than Lee. While the latter is currently donning a tremendous amount of stage makeup and multiple wigs for Wicked, the former is gracing a more intimate stage, that of 54 Below. You should go tonight or tomorrow.

This isn’t Lavin’s first visit to 54 Below, though it’s the first time I’ve had the opportunity to enjoy it. Lavin’s Starting Over is so named because she says “that’s what I’ve been doing my whole life.” She doesn’t delve very deeply into any Lazarus-like experiences she may have had, but it doesn’t matter. Lavin, age 77, is as charismatic as she has ever been. She delivers a line and a song with a tone that is immediately identifiable and still unique. About a quarter through the piece, she discusses briefly her performance off-Broadway in the mid-1960s revue The Mad Show, with music by Mary Rodgers, and makes light of the fact that the song she is about to sing, “The Boy From…,” features lyrics by Esteban Ria Nido (aka Stephen Sondheim). Lavin’s delivery of that song, with a faux Spanish accent and an eye roll, shows her at her best.

I’ve always known that Lavin started out onstage in musicals. She notes in the show that as a child she wanted to be a dancer, but at the age of ten turned to singing, and after that, sang always, including “when a fridge opened and the light turned on.” I knew she starred in It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s Superman on Broadway. (For those of you who — like me — missed that performance originally, you’ll get to relive it a little bit at 54 Below, as this many years later she delivers a version of “You’ve Got Possibilities” perfect to samba to if there was a dance floor. In fact, she dances a little bit onstage with a life that belies her age.) Most people however don’t know she is a singer. She’s now best known for television and plays. So it was no surprise to me when someone at a neighboring table snuck a picture with a whisper to his companion: “She is actually good.”

Lavin is clearly someone who loves the stage. One of the (many) reasons I don’t generally like cabaret is that the “spontaneous” patter never feels that way. Lavin has clearly been doing this act for years and the reactions and dialogue are certainly more actress than person at this point. However I never felt cheated because of that. It is Lavin’s joy of being up there that carries the night. A recurring theme of the night — not surprisingly for a show that is called Starting Over — is that when one door closes, another opens. At one point, after pianist Billy Stritch delivers a touching rendition of “Cottage for Sale” and the mood has turned melancholy , Lavin reiterates the “door” statement and then exclaims: “But it’s hell in the hallway!” I knew this was not a sudden declaration, thought of in the moment; I still laughed. She sells it. That wry persona you might know from the small screen is accompanied with enough warmth that you want to follow her lead.

You have two more performances to catch her this go-round — tonight and tomorrow. There are tickets still available. Buy them. Eat some food. Enjoy someone who is really a treasure. Oh, and then also buy tickets to see her in Manhattan Theatre Club’s Our Mother’s Brief Affair starting in January. We all know she is genius in straight plays, as evidenced by her Tony win and handful of additional nominations. Oh, and while you’re supporting Lavin, consider seeing Lee as well. Although her 54 Below dates are behind her, not only is she in Wicked, she’s performing her solo show, Nobody Does It Like Me, The Music of Cy Coleman, at the Kennedy Center in November.

Linda Rodin On Timeless Beauty And What She Learned From Her Mother

Aside from the bright coral lipstick, Linda Rodin woke up like this.

The 67-year-old fashion stylist, model and face oil guru has a surprisingly simple morning routine, something her cult of style devotees has been trying to emulate with the help of her line of namesake products. Rodin’s uniform of oversized sunglasses, tousled chignon and that aforementioned lipstick may sound simple, but paired with her sleek-meets-bohemian clothing, it’s just so uniquely her.

Rodin doesn’t take all the credit for her look, though. Growing up, she learned the value of signature lipstick because her mother, Beatrice, refused to leave the house without it — even if she was just driving her kids to school in her nightgown. Recently, Rodin has been inspired by the smell of her late mother. The beauty mogul took it upon herself to recreate it for her latest fragrance, Rodin Bis, which you can find at Barneys.

“My mother smelled like a powder puff; she smelled like lipstick; she smelled like peppermint; she smelled like cigarettes; she smelled like Juicy Fruit gum,” Rodin said. “She just smelled so wonderfully 1950s.”

Watch the video above to see Rodin talk more about her glamorous mother and reveal what goes into her own highly sought-after regimen.
