This Couple’s Splash Mountain Proposal Is A Disney Fantasy Come True

Nothing quite says true love like a thrilling plunge down a waterfall ― at least for Eugene Williams and his new fiancé, Chris.

Williams popped the question during the couple’s Monday visit to Disneyland, and his proposal was not for the faint at heart. While many couples opt to use Sleeping Beauty Castle or other Disney landmarks as a backdrop for the big moment, Williams asked Chris to marry him with a handmade sign on Splash Mountain’s climactic, 50-foot drop, and made clever use of the attraction’s on-ride camera to capture the moment for posterity with a souvenir photo.

Williams told HuffPost that he “always knew” that he wanted to propose to Chris at Disneyland, as the California-based couple visit the Anaheim theme park at least once a month. He said he chose Splash Mountain specifically after seeing a viral photo of a 16-year-old Disneyland visitor, who came out as gay to her parents in a similar fashion.

Despite Williams’s best effort, there were a few unexpected twists and turns along the way, as one would expect of a thrill ride proposal. “I wanted to get to the park before it opened, but Chris and I overslept and ran into traffic on the way. I was very angsty and nervous the whole time leading to him seeing the photo,” he explained. “I was worried my plan wouldn’t work and the park would be too crowded to get our own log ― after all, it was a hot day.”

Fortunately, a polite request to a Disney cast member ensured that Williams could pull off his plan without a hitch after all. “I was nervous the whole time on the ride, but just kept giving him hugs and kisses on the ride,” he said. “I told my boyfriend that we should pretend to be shocked for the photo. When the ride was over we walked to see our photo and he said he immediately knew when he saw the sign in the photo what it was and he cried!”

Williams uploaded the photo to Reddit Tuesday, where it had racked up over 1,200 comments as of Wednesday afternoon. “We are big Disney park fans, and now every time we go we’ll be reminded of that one time I proposed and he said yes,” he told HuffPost. “My fiancé means a lot to me and seeing the joy on his face when he saw the photo was priceless.”

May you live happily ever after, gentlemen!

Even Tony Hawk Was Impressed By This Skateboarder’s Marriage Proposal

This skateboarder’s surprise proposal to his girlfriend so great, it even has Tony Hawk’s stamp of approval.

Earlier this month at the annual Van’s Pool Party in Orange, California, skateboarder and activist Amelia Brodka was chatting about the future of women in skateboarding when interviewer Neal Hendrix subtly brought up Brodka’s boyfriend, Alec Beck, who was also in attendance.

The pair met four and a half years ago at the Van’s Skatepark, Brodka said, so it holds a special place in their hearts.

That’s when Hendrix motions to Beck to skate over and join them for the interview: With that, Beck launches himself down into the bowl, skates over and slides on his knees to pop the question.

Of course, Brodka says “yes.”

The proposal, which made the front page of Reddit on Monday, came as a happy surprise to Brodka, who runs Exposure Skate, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women and girls through skateboarding.

“I was confused when I looked over to see Alec in his kneepads but I had no idea what was going on until he was on one knee in front of me,” the 27-year-old told HuffPost. “I fantasized about Alec proposing, but this was better than any scenario I could have ever imagined.”

The “trick” may look effortless, but it took a lot of practice, said Beck, who works as the programs manager at the Tony Hawk Foundation, an organization that creates skate parks in low-income areas.

The day before the event, Beck did dry runs at Van’s Skatepark, attempting to figure out timing and positioning with the skatepark’s production team.

“I knew I needed to focus on only two things,” the 30-year-old said. “First, don’t fall dropping in and two: When I ask, make sure [Amelia] knows it’s just about the two of us and that no one else exists.”

Brodka’s pure gold, Reddit-worthy response definitely convinced Beck he pulled it off.

“That reaction is one of the things I love most about Amelia Brodka,” he said. “She’s not afraid to show excitement or enthusiasm and is incredibly genuine.”

Beck’s boss Tony Hawk was so impressed by the proposal, he shared a video of it on Instagram:

“Congrats @alec_beck & @ameliabrodka on winning the best trick at Van’s Pool Party,’ he captioned the clip.

Brodka, who lives in North County San Diego with her fiancée, told HuffPost the pair haven’t set a date for their wedding yet, but they are busy planning the perfect ceremony. After watching that engagement, we’re really hoping it includes some skate tricks.

Terrifying Tornado Gives Couple A Proposal Story They’ll Never Forget

A storm chaser in Texas used a terrifying tornado as the perfect backdrop to a proposal.

Alex Bartholomew popped the question to girlfriend Britney Fox Cayton near McLean on Tuesday, as a twister struck the ground about a mile away. Fortunately, she said yes.

Bartholomew shared photographs on Facebook of the couple’s epic engagement, with the tornado visible in the background. They are now going viral:

”I was completely overjoyed when he asked me and could not help having tears in my eyes,” Cayton told HuffPost on Thursday. “I almost forgot about the tornado behind us because all I could see was him and how happy I felt in that moment.”

The two 25-year-olds have been together for just over 18 months. “He’s a storm chaser but I’ve been fascinated by it since we started dating,” Cayton said. “He’s been taking me out with him every chance we’ve had since.”

Bartholomew wrote on Facebook that he was “elated,” “ecstatic” and “overjoyed” at Cayton’s answer. “I seriously couldn’t ask for a better life and I can’t wait to spend it with her by my side,” he added.

The Tornado Intercept page on Facebook also shared footage of the memorable proposal online:

Fenway Park Proposal Seems To Fail Miserably

Stadium proposals are a polarizing topic, but even the most cynical of skeptics wouldn’t want to witness what happened Sunday night at Fenway Park.

According to members of the press covering the game, a man was in the midst of popping the question in front of some 30,000 Boston Red Sox fans when something went wrong. The moment played out on the Jumbotron for the entire stadium to witness.

Videos posted to Twitter showed the couple standing in the same spot as the cameraman awkwardly turned away and stood off to the side. The crowd is heard chanting, “Just say yes!” Folks on Twitter also said the crowd chanted, “She said no.” The moment ended without an answer or hug.

Folks at the stadium started tweeting about the moment, some relishing in the fact that the widely derided stadium proposal went wrong.

Public proposals are always tricky to execute, but a stadium one among tens of thousands Red Sox fans seems especially risky.

Everyone Is Confused By This Student’s Prom Proposal Sign

Texas high school student Marlen Williams created a basketball-themed sign to ask his friend to the prom. He presented it to her with a toy basketball, she read the sign and, apparently, she said yes.

Williams shared the beautiful moment on his Twitter account on Monday. Happily ever after, right?

Wrong.

Twitter, being the cruel and fickle place that it is, pounced on Williams’ sign, claiming it was confusing, incoherent and disobeyed the laws of grammar. Hundreds of people took it upon themselves to tell him so.

“It’s crazy how viral something can get that’s unplanned,” Williams told The Huffington Post. “When I was making the poster, I never imagined all of this.”

Despite all the digital commotion, Williams’ sign does have a coherent and witty message. The words were just awkwardly placed.

The sign reads:

You’ll run the 1, I’ll be 2. I’d love to take a shot at prom with you. #12

It’s basketball jargon referring to players’ positions on the court, and Williams, a shooting guard for his school’s basketball team, was just being sweet.

If you still can’t read it, helpful Twitter users photoshopped the sign so it would be easier to read.

Even though his sign was a tad bit jumbled, Williams can ignore all the internet trolls. After all, his date did say yes.

Woman Upstages Her Own Proposal With Incredible Half-Court Shot

A surprise marriage proposal usually takes the cake, but one woman stole the show before her boyfriend even popped the question.

Erin Tobin was selected to participate in a Dunkin’ Donuts half-court shot promotion during Thursday night’s Siena Saints men’s basketball game at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York.

Tobin’s boyfriend, Steve Duckett, set up the scenario with the help of Dunkin’ Donuts and Siena Athletics so he could propose to her mid-court. He hid in the Dunkin’ Donuts mascot while the Siena alumna got ready.

Before Duckett revealed himself and popped the question, Tobin sank a half-court basket and the crowd went wild. The proposal turned out to be the cherry on top of an already awesome night.

This Couple’s Disney World Proposal Is A Fairy Tale Come True

When Gregory Anderson decided to propose to his longtime boyfriend, Craig Moss, he knew he wanted the moment to be, in a word, enchanting. With that in mind, he said there was only one location that made absolutely perfect sense: Walt Disney World.

When Anderson, 28, began dating Moss, 26, he was thrilled to find out that his new boyfriend was just as “Disney obsessed” as him. The guys visited Walt Disney World for the first time as a couple in 2016 and had an “amazing” time, which inspired Anderson to brainstorm ways to pop the question when they returned to the Florida theme park last month.

Anderson’s dream came true, and in a scene that could easily have been lifted from a Disney classic, he dropped to one knee before Moss in front of Cinderella Castle during the couple’s Jan. 31 visit to the Magic Kingdom. With the help of a Disney cast member, Anderson live-streamed the proposal on Facebook so that friends and family could watch the moment back home. (Watch that video of the proposal above.)

“Trying to decide where in Disney World I wanted to do it was difficult because I didn’t want to be obvious and I kept changing my mind,” Anderson told The Huffington Post. “His mum had known for ages, too, and she kept messaging throughout the holiday asking when I was going to do it ― so I had to lie to Craig about who I was on the phone to. It was all magically stressful!”

Disney-themed proposals, of course, are nothing new. Still, it’s particularly heartwarming to see a same-sex couple reaffirm their love with the Magic Kingdom as their backdrop. With that in mind, Anderson hopes his proposal video, which currently has over 7,000 views after being posted on Gay Star News, Instinct Magazine and other media outlets, and photos inspire other LGBTQ people to pursue their own “happily ever after.”

“I used to believe that every relationship had arguments and fights, that if you had a passion for something you should tone it down in order to be accepted by your LGBTQ peers,” he said. “I was so unhappy trying to fit into the gay scene, that it took me a while to discover a whole new world of self-appreciation. If you’re a Disney geek, embrace it! Someday you’ll find someone just like you who you’ll never fight or argue with and don’t ever settle for less!”

The couple are planning a 2018 wedding. Naturally, the ceremony will include a few nods to Disney. “I have it in my head that it’ll be set up just like the ballroom scene in ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ but that’ll probably be a little over budget,” Anderson quipped.

Congrats, gentlemen!

Waterfall Wedding Proposal Goes Horribly Wrong

Be real careful about where you pop the question.

Isaiah Adams recently proposed to his girlfriend, Grace, in what no doubt seemed like a picture-perfect setting: Maryland’s Cunningham Falls.

Then, in a flash, the ring was gone, falling into the cold waters below.

I was crying with happiness but then I was crying with fear at the same time. I looked up and his face was just shock,” Grace told “Inside Edition.”

The ring was never found, but the show reported that the couple plans to get married anyway.

At least they still have their love, right? Here’s hoping Adams didn’t take that two months’ salary thing too seriously.

Trevor Noah Grills Chris Christie On FedEx Immigrant Tracking Proposal

When Republican presidential hopeful Chris Christie recently suggested that U.S. immigration officials should monitor immigrants using the same technology that FedEx uses to track shipped packages, critics panned him for suggesting that people should be treated like packages.

Christie was forced to clarify that he meant a system in which the government could “use technology in order to be able to secure the border.”

“We can bring in the folks from FedEx to use the technology to do it. There’s nothing wrong with that, and I don’t mean people are packages. Don’t be ridiculous,” he said.

Comedian Trevor Noah expressed more skepticism and pressed Christie on the specifics of his idea in a Wednesday interview on “The Daily Show.” Noah, an immigrant from South Africa, said that it felt “personal.”

“I was watching the debates, and you were talking about people and their visas. People need to have their visas, and they shouldn’t overstay their time in the U.S. I felt like you were talking to me personally because that happened to me one time,” Noah said. “But what I didn’t understand was the biometrics. You want people to get FedEx stamps?”

“No, no, no. You know that. You already have 10 FedEx stamps,” Christie responded, referring to fingerprints. “Hold up both your hands. You got 10 stamps already.”

Christie explained that if elected president, he would implement a system in which immigrants would be fingerprinted at checkpoints coming in and out of the country and added to a database. “With a fingerprint, you have a database, and if it says you overstayed, we tap you on the shoulder and say, ‘Thanks for coming.'”

But Noah was not convinced, continuing to grill Christie on the logistics and cost of his proposal. Last month, a supply chain expert told HuffPost that the idea is impractical and raises concerns about privacy.

In addition, it would be costly: when a 2013 Senate immigration bill included a similar proposal, government officials estimated that such a system would cost about $ 7 billion, which Noah noted on Wednesday.

“That’s a lot less expensive than a wall across the entire southern border. How about that?” Christie said, a barb at reality television star Donald Trump’s plan to build a giant border wall to keep out immigrants.

The New Jersey governor has been consistently polling toward the bottom half of the crowded GOP field, and when Noah asked about what Christie plans to do to increase his low poll numbers, the candidate replied: “Come on the first week of ‘The Daily Show with Trevor Noah,’ baby.”

Notes of a Retired Wedding Videographer: From Proposal to Reception; Lessons Learned from Brides and Grooms

Initially this book originated by way of a response to a reprehensible and professionally insulting article I stumbled across in a popular wedding magazine. I telephoned the editor and reviewed the article sentence by sentence with him regarding the inconsistencies and inaccuracies of a real-life wedding focusing specifically on the videography facet. By the end of our conversation, he asked me to commit these thoughts to paper for consideration and I did. The article with my amendments was first published in the Summer 2005 issue of Premier Bride Magazine. Inspired by this, I continued to expand and record my experiences and observations with the sole intent of offering an experienced, unique insight for all would-be newlyweds to consider. "Notes of a Retired Wedding Videographer" is intended to provide an entertaining and informative guide to help brides and grooms understand all that the camera captures throughout the wedding day as well as some frequently overlooked tips on how to ensure that the festivities recorded on video best capture the festivities occurring in live action at the time. Enjoy the most memorable insights based on actual first-hand experiences through the course of nearly 1000 completed wedding assignments during the last 11 years. Topics include observations and opinions regarding bridal logistics, wedding themes and color schemes, music/photographer/videographer selection, wedding within budget,7 tips for men in kilts, how to avoid becoming a victim of Murphy’s Law, and much more- all illustrated by real-life personal experiences from behind the camera.

This Devastating Proposal Fail Has A Very Happy Ending

Matthew Picca was about to propose to girlfriend Kayla Harrity on dock in Southport, North Carolina on Saturday evening when the unthinkable happened: he dropped the ring into the ocean.

The couple of six years was vacationing with Kayla’s family when he popped the question at a waterfront bar called Old America Fish Co.

“I turned around and he was getting down on one knee,” Kayla told WECT News. “As he opened the ring box, the ring fell out of the box and fell through the cracks on the deck and into the water. I didn’t even get to see it before it dropped.”

“I was in total shock,” she told The Huffington Post. “I knew he had a great plan for the proposal and when the ring fell I was devastated. I knew we had to find the ring.”

Right away, family and a group of onlookers banded together to recover the ring. Some jumped in the water in their clothes, other locals helped by bringing flashlights and goggles.

An hour and a half later, a man named Kyle Blusher found the ring.

“We were ecstatic,” Kayla told HuffPost. “We couldn’t have been happier!”

Everyone began cheering, and Matthew got down on bended knee for the second time that day — this time with the ring firmly in hand.

“It was the best feeling in the world,” she told WECT. “My fiancé, soaking wet, smelling like salty, fishing water, proceeded to get down on one knee and put the beautiful ring on my finger!”

Rodrigo had plans to visit New York City from Mexico City with a group of friends. His girlfriend initially wasn’t going to be able to make it but she changed her mind and decided to come along. Rodrigo knew this was the right time to propose. His girlfriend LOVES Minions from the movie Despicable Me, and with the new Minions movie coming out, he decided that was the perfect way to propose.

He hired The Heart Bandits to coordinate a Minion flash mob right in the heart of Times Square for his marriage proposal. When he and Aranza got to Military Island in Times Square, they found one Minion amongst the crowd of street performers. They approached the Minion and asked her if they could take a photo with her. After they took the photo, the flash mob began. During the dance routine, the Minion’s pulled the couple into the center and danced around them in a circle. His Indecent Proposal

His Indecent Proposal

His Indecent ProposalErotic Romance/NovellaApproximately 21,000 wordsWhen Jenna Hardin is approached with a business proposition that involves a short-term marriage arrangement, she hesitatingly agrees. It doesn’t take long before she realizes the business involved is only a smokescreen and she is the ultimate commodity. Excerpt: Jenna sat in first class and fiddled with the platinum band on her left ring finger. She watched David sitting next to her from the corner of her eye. His hand still held hers loosely even in sleep, his fingers laced between hers in a hold of ownership, a hold of possession that he had rarely allowed her away from the entire day. They were approaching the Greater Cincinnati airport and her mind raced over the day that had just passed. It was almost midnight, and everything had been accomplished in less than twenty-four hours. When they left his house that morning, the first thing they did was meet with his lawyer, and she had signed a pre-nuptial agreement. Then they had left to board a flight to Vegas, and the minute they had gotten there, he hustled her into a twenty-four hour wedding chapel. They were married quickly without benefit of rings, but he found a jewelry store when they left the chapel and had one on her finger with what to her now seemed to be an obscene lack of consideration and time. Leaving the jewelers, they went into a hotel restaurant and had a quick meal, and her mind shied away from what had happened next. They hadn’t packed for an overnight stay, and she hadn’t understood why he checked into the hotel after they ate. Her stomach had been tied in knots through the meal anyway, and apprehension and nerves screamed in her bloodstream as he pulled her by the hand up the elevators to a room. The minute the door had clicked shut, he turned to her and began unbuttoning her blouse. Panic attacked her and she put her fingers over his to stop him. “What are y-you doing?”He brushed her hands aside and continued to strip her. “Consumma

When “Magic Mike” star Joe Manganiello proposed to Sofia Vergara last December, he was nervous — but it wasn’t because he thought the “Modern Family” leading lady would say no.

Instead, Manganiello, 38, was nervous about making a mistake reciting the Spanish proposal he’d been practicing for the occasion. Manganiello shared a part of the “big speech” during an appearance on “Live with Kelly and Michael” on Monday.

“I wasn’t nervous that she was going to say no, I felt pretty confident in that,” said Manganiello, who is currently promoting his new film “Magic Mike XXL.” “But you only get one chance to do it, and if you’re going to do it, you gotta do it right. So there’s a lot of planning that goes in, and yeah, actually I proposed in Spanish.”

“So I had a big speech in Spanish, and that’s what I was nervous about,” the actor continued. “The last thing you want to do is, like, mess up the Spanish on the proposal to the Colombian woman.”

After host Kelly Ripa asked him to recite a portion of the proposal, Manganiello said that he told Vergara “Eres mi todo,” or “You are my everything,” during the speech.

Manganiello proposed to Vergara, 42, during a Christmas family vacation to Hawaii. Since then the Colombian star has teased at a possible destination wedding and confirmed that a date has been set.

“Yeah, we have a date,” Vergara told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show in May. “It was kind of difficult because we’re both working, and you never know what’s going to come in our work. But we had to stick to it because it was impossible to book a place with short notice.”

Vergara has kept most of the wedding details under wraps, but generally speaking, she’s been anything but quiet about her relationship with the “Magic Mike” actor. She even celebrated the couple’s first year together with a romantic Instagram post earlier this month.

Happy 1st Anniversary love of my life!!! Never been so happy!!#lucky❤️❤️❤️❤️@joemanganiello

This Man’s Action Movie Proposal Is As Badass As It Is Beautiful

Seth McMurry’s girlfriend Cymber wanted one thing from her marriage proposal: to be surprised. And that’s exactly what she got.

On May 7, Seth and Cymber were planning to help Seth’s brother with an action video he was filming for his YouTube channel AndrewMFilms.

“I knew that would be a great way to be able to get the proposal on video without her knowing what was going on,” Seth told The Huffington Post. “She thought her and I were going to be in one of his videos but little did she know I had planned everything.”

They filmed the video, which features some impressive special effects, on top of a parking garage in Little Rock, Arkansas. In the last scene, Seth saves Cymber from being hit by a crashing helicopter. She falls to the ground and when she picks herself back up, Seth calls her name.

Couple Had No Clue A Photog Was Snapping These Sweet Proposal Pics

Thanks to Facebook and what some would call fate, one lucky couple has photos of their picture-perfect proposal.

Andrew Smith grabbed an impromptu carriage ride through Central Park with girlfriend Cali Harrison during a trip to New York City on May 16. On their carriage driver’s recommendation, Smith planned to propose at Bethesda Fountain, but once they arrived, he got nervous about popping the question in front a crowd. As fate would have it, everyone suddenly walked away.

“The second I drop to a knee, this little girl who was not too far from us screams at the top of her lungs,” he told the Huffington Post. “She goes, ‘Oh my god! He’s proposing!'”

All eyes were on the Tampa, Fla.-based couple — as well as photographer Jessica Sharpe’s lens.

Sharpe, who owns Dalton Lane Portrait Co., happened to witness the couple’s engagement while she was waiting for a client at the fountain. She snapped some photos and turned to chat with her fellow photographer. When she looked back to share them with Smith and Harrison, they were gone.

Sharpe posted the photos on her photography company’s Facebook page, asking if anyone knew the couple. More than 100 shares and less than 45 minutes later, a woman Harrison knew from high school recognized her in the photos and tagged her. Sharpe was shocked.

“I am absolutely blown away with the fact that we even found them, not to mention how quickly it all happened,” she told The Huffington Post in an email. “Less than an hour, that’s insane!”

The proposal process didn’t start out so seamless, however. Smith ordered the ring in advance of asking his future father-in-law for his blessing, but it wasn’t delivered on time. Then, Smith landed in the emergency room with the stomach flu, delaying his plans further. Luckily, all the pieces came together in time for the couple’s trip to NYC.

“Everything went so wrong in the beginning, and then it was like the world kind of stood up straight and everything was right in the world for a moment,” he said.

The pair, who who met as students at Georgia Tech in 2008 and started dating three years ago, offered to pay for the photos, but Sharpe refused, saying she was “just in the right place at the right time.”

Harrison called Sharpe their “angel.”

“I think it is just such an awesome testament that social media can be such an amazing thing,” she said.

The happy couple have yet to set a wedding date, but they are thinking about tying the knot in spring 2017.

Man Pulls Off Aca-Amazing Proposal For His ‘Pitch Perfect’-Obsessed Girlfriend

Unless you count singing in the shower, Max Podell has no vocal experience whatsoever. But that didn’t stop him from popping the question to his girlfriend by recreating a scene from “Pitch Perfect” with a group of his equally amateur (but enthusiastic!) friends.

At a friend’s birthday party on May 8, Max and eight of his buddies sang along to the Treblemakers‘ finale performance from the first movie for his girlfriend Lindsay Versage. The guys rocked blazers and shorts and even attempted some choreography all in the name of romance. Towards the end of the routine, Max comes out and serenades the bride-to-be with a cover of B.o.B and River Cuomo’s song “Magic.”

“We love the movie, and we love the soundtrack,” he told The Huffington Post. “So do most of our friends. Lindsay puts the music on almost every time we are in the car together. Every time that song comes on, I sing that part to her. It’s special between us.”

At first, Lindsay thought the performance was something the boys had planned as a surprise for their friend Jenny’s birthday. But once she figured out what was going on, Lindsay was over the moon.

“I was absolutely stunned!” she told HuffPost. “It was the most surreal moment and it took me a little while to even realize exactly what was happening. I couldn’t believe how many people were involved and how they pulled it off. It was the best moment of my entire life and I will remember it forever.”

George Clooney On His Proposal To Amal Alamuddin: ‘I Literally Dropped It On Her’

For a man who was once thought to be an eternal bachelor, it sure didn’t take George Clooney long to realize he wanted to be with Amal Alamuddin for life.

“It happened pretty quickly,” the actor told “CBS This Morning’s” Charlie Rose on Tuesday. “I knew fairly quickly that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Amal. But, you know, I have to say, when I asked her…we had never talked about it…there wasn’t, like, ‘Hey, maybe we should get married.’ I literally I dropped it on her.”

Clooney said he proposed to the human rights attorney at home with his Aunt Rosemary’s records playing in the background.

“Finally, I just said, ‘Listen.’ You know, I’m 53, at the time, or 52, I think, at the time, and I said, ‘You know, I’ve been on my knee now for about 28 minutes,” he said. “So I gotta get an answer out of this, ’cause I’m gonna throw a hip out.”

The pair, who first met in Italy, tied the knot in Venice in September 2014.

“I have someone who I can talk to about anything and someone who I care more about than I’ve cared about anybody,” Clooney said of his wife. “So it’s really nice.”

This isn’t the first time the “Tomorrowland” actor has gushed about Alamuddin to the press. At a premiere for the movie recently, he told People magazine that getting married has changed his outlook on the future.

“All I know is that it sort of changed everything in terms of what I thought my future –- my personal future -– was going to be.” He continued, “I wasn’t always completely optimistic about how it was going to work out personally for me. But now I am.”

Marriage Proposal Featuring 1001 Hot Dogs Is A Real Wiener

Using hot dogs to propose to the love of your life might not seem romantic, but wait until you hear this story.

Twenty-eight-year-old Wang, from Chengdu China, popped the question to his girlfriend Chen on August 16 with the help of exactly 1001 hot dogs, which he used to spell out the word “Love” surrounded by a masterful hot dog border.

Turns out, there was a method to Wang’s wiener madness. According to Chengdu Evening News, who first reported the story, the couple met three years ago in Thailand at a bakery that sells hot dogs.

The future love birds quickly discovered they were from the same province in China and the rest is history. They’ve now been together for — wait for it — 1001 days. D’aww!

Chen must have appreciated the romantic sentiment; she said “yes” and then ate a hot dog in celebration.

‘Ring Cam’ Lets You Record A Marriage Proposal Without Lifting A Finger

In an age when marriage proposals frequently go viral, there’s a lot of pressure to capture the big moment in just the right way.

But what if you don’t have a four-man camera crew or Hollywood-worthy film editing skills? That’s where Ring Cam comes in.

The Ring Cam, which was launched in October 2013, is basically a ring box with a tiny camera inside. So when it’s time to pop the question, the bride- or groom-to-be’s reaction is instantly captured.

ring cam

Ring Cam is the brainchild of four college students from Michigan. One of its creators, Scott Brandonisio, sat down with Good Morning America to discuss the perks of the new device.

“Only the person proposing actually knows its there,” he explained. “So you’re able to capture that genuine element of surprise.”

Indeed, most viral proposal videos involve elaborate schemes in which camera men are clearly visible. As you can see from Ring Cam’s past proposals, the shocked reactions are the best part of the videos.

The gadget can be purchased for $ 149.00 to $ 249.00 from the company’s website, or you can rent the box for just $ 99.

Be sure to watch the Good Morning America segment above for more info.

How To Nail Your Viral Video Wedding Proposal

Successful viral videos — the ones that reach a million hits on YouTube and bring your workday to a grinding halt — have to surprise the viewer and tug at her heartstrings. Soa Maturity Model: A Delphi-Derived Proposal for Inter-Enterprise Setups

Soa Maturity Model: A Delphi-Derived Proposal for Inter-Enterprise Setups

Companies have long sought to integrate existing Information Systems (IS) in order to support existing and potentially new business processes spread throughout their territories and possibly to collaborating organizations. A variety of designs can be used to this end, ranging from rigid point-to-point electronic data interchange (EDI) interactions to Web auctions . By updating older technologies, such as Internet-enabling EDI-based systems, companies can make their IT systems available to internal or external customers; but the resulting systems have not proven to be flexible enough to meet business demands. A more flexible, standardized architecture is required to better support the connection of various applications and the sharing of data. Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) is one such architecture. It unifies ( orchestrates ) business processes by structuring large applications as an ad-hoc collection of smaller modules called Services . These applications can be used by different groups of people both inside and outside the company, and new applications built from a mix of services (located in a global repository) exhibit greater agility and uniformity. Thus, SOA is a design framework for realizing rapid and low-cost system development and improving total system quality. SOA uses the Web Services standards and technologies and is rapidly becoming a standard approach for enterprise information systems integration. SOA adoption by enterprises has been identified as one of the highest business priorities by a recent Gartner study (Gartner 2007) and enterprises increasingly recognize the requirement for an increased Service-orientation and relevant comprehensive frameworks, which will not only help them position themselves and evaluate their SOA initiatives, but also guide them in achieving higher levels of SOA maturity. This in turn, will help enterprises acquire (and retain) competitive advantage over other players in the market who are not (using SOA and thus
