An energetic vibe ran through the Emilio Pucci collection. Easy-chic, uncomplicated silhouettes were combined with the house’s signature bold prints, as well as joyful colors and tactile finishings.
Plissé dresses and skirts, showing the new Pucci logo, featured intriguing dégradé effects amplified by the irregular stripes of fitted knit tops and the iridescent accents of silk blouses. The multicolor graphic prints were embroidered with metallic sequins on the sparkling asymmetric evening frocks, while viscose pin-striped tailored suits were infused with an elegant attitude.
A-lined colorful vinyl skirts were paired with lightweight silk blouses in fluid silhouettes and plissé skirts in solid tones were embellished with asymmetric foulard inserts splashed with graphic patterns, adding a joyful feel to the clean designs.

Laudomia Pucci: How Styling Keeps Brands Fresh Across Generations

LOS ANGELES — “Don’t crush your chiffon, honey,” Neiman Marcus senior vice president and global fashion director Ken Downing advised a model.
The 10 women stood in a makeshift backstage, styled by Downing for an afternoon in-store event at the retailer’s Beverly Hills store on Wilshire Boulevard. They wore pieces from an exclusive Emilio Pucci capsule collection for Neiman Marcus.
Laudomia Pucci, the brand’s image director in town for the event, went to the archives to deliver a fresh spin on seasoned prints originating from the late Sixties and early Seventies for the resort capsule.
“I think the idea here was to have the ‘perfect wardrobe’ for resort escape,” she said. “And, of course, in this store there is not much resort-beachwear. So it’s morning-to-evening in the season. It’s what we call ‘Pucci perfect’ because you just easily put it in a suitcase. It’s light and you have everything. It goes from the beach, swim, caftan, eveningwear. So you can dress it up and dress it down as you wish and it’s styled as you wish.”

Emilio Pucci RTW Spring 2019

Bet you thought the prints at Pucci were something fished from the archive, maybe circa ’67 or ’72. Wrong. They were all spanking new. Not a single reissue for spring 2019, though clearly the historical influence was there. This was to indicate that the house is focusing on the future, as was the unisex collection it released earlier this year, under which the clothes modeled by men fell as well.
To further summon a youthful spirit, the creative team envisioned the presentation as a Carribean Pucci villa, populated by models dancing to reggae beats in a collection of tropical colors and easy fits. There were tank and shirtdresses cut with sprays of pleated and printed swatches. Loose, long shirts were worn open over bright, cropped pants and simple cocktail dresses were embroidered over prints. The throwback Pucci glamour remained intact, but there was a kitschy ease that might appeal to a new generation.

The joyful, flamboyant mood of a tropical summer: For the resort season, Emilio Pucci’s design team embraced a happy, colorful aesthetic that injected an energetic vibe into the brand’s lineup.
A kaleidoscope of new prints, featuring a more graphic look compared to archival motifs, was juxtaposed with eye-catching solids, such as sunflower yellow, hot pink and strawberry red. There was something sensual about the fitted dresses and the mini skirts embellished with embroideries and trimmed with raffia fringes.
Breezy caftans were decorated with prints at the cuffs, while silk inserts gave a luxurious touch to cropped, wide-leg jeans. If a foldable maxi K-way showed the most sporty and practical face of the brand, evening dresses featuring all-over embroideries were designed for jet-setters.

Emilio Pucci is definitely associated with glamorous cocktail parties, luxury escapes to posh winter resorts and chic vacations on the Mediterranean islands.
This idea of jet-set lifestyle continues to play a relevant role in the development of the label, but a new sense of urban reality is actually what the Emilio Pucci creative team targeted for pre-fall.
The colorful and chic collection was strong on versatile pieces, still injected with high-end sophistication yet infused with metropolitan dynamism.
Printed leggings, which are iconic staples of the brand’s heritage, were matched with color-blocked sweaters, and a pair of satin five-pocket pants was worn with a diagonally striped tweed peacoat trimmed with fringes.
An impeccable sartorial Prince of Wales suit was showed in a charming pink tone and a pajama set was crafted from plush velvet.
New patterns were introduced, including a bold floral motif, as well as a Pop print, which paid a tribute to Andy Warhol’s muse Edie Sedgwick. This was splashed on a jersey column dress and was re-created with sequins on a covetable short tunic frock.

Emilio Pucci Debuts ‘Bikini Bar’ in Cannes

MILAN — Emilio Pucci is debuting its “Bikini Bar” project this week in Cannes, during the city’s film festival.
A traveling retail concept, the “Bikini Bar” consists of a colored beach changing room showcasing a limited-edition collection of bikinis, featuring triangle tops and briefs with adjustable straps, available in 19 exclusive prints. These include archival patterns, as well as the new Gazelle, Parasol and Libellula motifs.
Kicking off on the French Riviera, the “Bikini Bar” project will subsequently appear inside selected boutiques in other beach resort destinations, including Beirut, Capri, Mykonos, Taormina, Saint-Tropez and Porto Cervo.
The exclusive bikini capsule will also be available for a limited period at the Emilio Pucci online store.
Earlier this week, the brand inked a licensing agreement with Simonetta to launch a juniors’ collection targeting girls ages 0 to 14. It will bow for spring 2018 on June 22 at Palazzo Pucci, during the childrenswear trade show Pitti Bimbo.
The kids’ line will be distributed globally, available at the Emilio Pucci flagships and at its online store, as well as in select multibrand boutiques and department stores.

Emilio Pucci Opens Store in Miami Design District

WELCOME TO MIAMI: Emilio Pucci opened its third store in Florida, in the Miami Design District. Pucci’s famed Torre print, originally designed in 1966, embellishes the entire facade. Painted in giant black and white mazelike blocks, the facade appears like an optical public artwork hanging above the sidewalk. Inside, white terrazzo tiles and white walls provide a canvas for the colorful clothing hanging on open brass fixtures. The cashier’s table is cut from a rose-colored travertine stone, a key material in all new Pucci stores. Located at 140 NE 39th Street, the one-floor boutique spans 1,600 square feet. The full Pucci spring collection is available, as well as special gowns, beaded caftans and embroidered pieces that cater to the Miami clientele. The shop also features women’s and men’s swimwear and resort pieces from the Orlebar Brown + Emilio Pucci collaboration, as well as sunglasses by the brand’s licensee, Marcolin. Pucci’s other two stores are in Palm Beach and Aventura. In total, Pucci has five freestanding stores in the U.S. and 28 internationally.
