Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Official Wedding Portraits Were Just Released!

Picture perfect!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are celebrating the end of their royal wedding weekend with the release of their official wedding portraits on Monday.

Taken in the Green Drawing Room at Windsor Castle after the royal couple’s magical carriage procession, the portraits were shot by fashion photographer, Alexi Lubomirski, who took the couple’s dreamy engagement photos at Frogmore House in Windsor late last year.

The first photo is an epic gathering of the entire royal family (minus 4-week-old Prince Louis, who stayed home at the palace!), the little bridal party and Meghan’s proud mother, Doria Ragland.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex would like to thank everyone who took part in the celebrations of their wedding on Saturday. They feel so lucky to have been able to share their day with all those gathered in Windsor and also all those who watched the wedding on television across the U.K., Commonwealth, and around the world,” a Kensington Palace spokesperson said.

“Their Royal Highnesses are delighted with these official portraits taken by Alexi Lubomirski and are happy to be able to share them today. They would also like to say thank you for all of the generous messages of support they have received.”

Also featured in the photo set is a picture of just Harry and Meghan with their adorable page boys and bridesmaids. Led by the couple’s niece and nephew, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, the eight other children include several of Harry and Meghan’s godchildren and children of their friends: Florence van Cutsem, 3; Remi Litt, 6 and her sister Rylan, 7; Ivy Mulroney, 4; Zalie Warren, 2; Jasper Dyer, 6; and twins Brian and John Mulroney, 7.

The bride and groom themselves posed for a romantic black-and-white photo featuring just the two of them. Taken just moments after they tied the knot, the love and happiness they felt on the day is evident on their smiling faces.

“It has been an incredible honor and privilege to document The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s inspiring journey of love, hope and family; from the engagement photos, all the way through to the official wedding and family portraits on Saturday,” Lubomirski said in a statement. “This has been a beautiful chapter in my career and life, that I will happily never forget.”

At the 2011 wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, the official portraits of the couple and the bridal party were taken by Hugo Burnand. Burnand was also on hand to shoot the official pictures for the wedding of Prince Charles to Camilla Parker-Bowles six years earlier.

Woman Who Sabotaged Fiancé’s Kayak Sentenced to 4 Years — But Could Be Released Next Month

Angelika Graswald, the New York woman who pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide in the drowning death of her fiancé as they kayaked on the Hudson River in 2015, was sentenced Wednesday to 15 months to four years in state prison, her attorney confirms to PEOPLE.

Graswald had faced murder charges in the death of Vincent Viafore, 46, but pleaded guilty to the lesser charge in July.

Graswald’s attorney, Richard Portale, previously told PEOPLE he expects her to be home as early as next month due to time served since her arrest in April of 2015.

At the sentencing, Viafore’s sister, Laura Rice, told Judge Robert Freehill that she thinks of her brother’s “last moments alive…and I visualize him trying to survive hypothermia in the freezing cold river, confused and not understanding why the woman who said she loved him and wanted to marry him did nothing to help him,” reports the Poughkeepsie Journal

Viafore drowned on April 19, 2015 in the Hudson River after his kayak capsized in rough seas and windy conditions. He and Graswald were kayaking back to the mainland from an afternoon on Bannerman Island, an island in the Hudson River in Dutchess County.

Ten days later, Graswald was charged with second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter after police said she told them she removed a plug from the kayak to destabilize it and had taken a connector off the paddle.

Once Viafore was in the river, prosecutors said Graswald pulled Viafore’s paddle away from him as he fought for his life, then waited until he had drowned before calling 911.

The motive was $ 250,000 in life insurance policies, prosecutors said.

In her plea deal to the reduced charges, Graswald admitted she knew that the locking clip to Viaforte’s kayak paddle was missing, that he was not wearing a life vest or a wet suit, and that the waters in the Hudson River were dangerously cold and rough at the time.

But it was Graswald’s lack of urgency in seeking help for Viafore after he entered the freezing April waters that Judge Freehill said led to Viafore’s death.

“It was the immediate act of your being in your kayak and Vincent floundering in the water, and you taking no action to help him,” Freehill said, according to the Times-Herald Record.

Graswald has long maintained her innocence regarding the murder charges. In a statement her attorney released after the sentencing hearing, Graswald said: “I am not a murderer. I’ve said that from the beginning. If I could do anything to bring Vince back, I would.”

Graswald is a native of Latvia, and Viafore’s family wants Graswald deported after she finishes her sentence — a sentence they feel is far too short, the Poughkeepsie Journal reports.

In an interview with reporters after the hearing, Viafore’s mother, Mary Ann Viafore, told reporters that “justice was not served for my son. Four years for taking someone’s life? No way.”

‘Pounded By The Gay Color Changing Dress’ Released By Chuck Tingle

Just when you thought you’d seen the last of #TheDress…

Erotic writer Chuck Tingle took it upon himself last week to turn one of the most viral sensations of all time into a gay erotic novella.

Published on Feb. 27, “Pounded By The Gay Color Changing Dress” is marketed as “4,400 words of sizzling human on gay dress action, including anal, blowjobs, rough sex, cream pies, and color changing dress love.”

color changing dress

After a few days on Amazon, “Pounded By The Gay Color Changing Dress” is still sitting comfortably with all five star reviews. The Amazon description tells us:

Kent is a man with a problem, floundering in the gay dating scene as he looks for something that doesn’t seem to exist, a man who is wild, adventurous and rugged while still being smart, gentle and sophisticated.

Just when Kent is certain that he’ll never find the best of both worlds, he meets Channing, a living gay dress who is famous online for appearing black and blue to some, and gold and white to others.

It’s not long before Channing shows Kent that it’s all about perspective, in a hardcore gay love affair that will reveal once and for all just what color the dress really is.

In case you are totally out of the loop, photos of a dress went viral last week that — for reasons we still don’t necessarily understand — appeared to consist of different colors — either black and blue or white and gold — depending on who was looking at it and when. #TheDress received so much attention on the Internet that reportedly became Buzzfeed’s most viral post of all time.

“I saw a funny story on the Internet about a goofball dress that cant make up his mind,” Tingle told The Huffington Post in an email. “I thought it would make a good tingler so I stayed up all night drinking chocolate milk and made myself feel weird. The next morning my son helped me edit and then we published it.”

Curious to see what all the fuss is about? “Pounded By The Gay Color Changing Dress” is available on Amazon.

The HBO documentary “The Case Against 8” takes an intimate look at the fight to overturn this legislation and the lawsuit that challenged its constitutionality.

Now, on January 13, “The Case Against 8” will be available on DVD. Check out the clip above to hear from some of the gay and lesbian couples who were engaged in this fight to overturn Proposition 8.

New Joss Whedon Film ‘In Your Eyes’ Released Online

Good news, Joss Whedon fans: His latest movie isn’t just coming soon. It’s out right now.

“In Your Eyes,” written and produced by Whedon and directed by Brin Hill, was screened on Sunday night at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. Then, in a surprise move, Whedon announced it would be available immediately for digital download.

“It’s a very exciting night for us because it’s not just the premiere of the film. It is the worldwide release date because as of now, ‘In Your Eyes’ is available on any Internet-capable device at InYourEyesMovie.com for the starting price of $ 5,” Whedon said in a taped appearance shown after the film. “This is exciting for us because it means we get to explore yet another new form of distribution and we get $ 5.”

“In Your Eyes” is a supernatural romance starring Zoe Kazan and Michael Stahl-David, who share a telepathic bond. As the clip above shows, that connection first appears in childhood.

“It’s about two people, classic Joss loner heroes, who are looking to break out of their limited circumstances and band together — a la The Avengers and anything else he’s done — and find connection and meaning,” Hill told USA Today.

Hill told the Los Angeles Times that Whedon was not on set for filming, but provided both notes and guidance, and advised him “not to be precious, to make the movie as audience-friendly as possible.”

The movie was released by Bellwether Pictures, formed by Whedon and his wife, Kai Cole, to make small-budget films outside of the major studios. Whedon’s next big project — barring no more surprises in the meantime — is 2015’s “The Avengers: Age of Ultron.”

Pussy Riot Member Maria Alyokhina Released From Jail In Russia Under Amnesty Deal

NIZHNY NOVGOROD, Russia, Dec 23 (Reuters) – Pussy Riot punk band member Maria Alyokhina walked free from jail on Monday, immediately dismissing the Kremlin’s amnesty that granted her early release as a stunt that would not change her attitude to President Vladimir Putin.

Alyokhina, 25, one of two women serving two-year sentences for a profanity-laced protest against Putin in a Russian Orthodox church in 2012, was released under the amnesty the president has said would show the Russian state is humane.

They were convicted of hooliganism motivated by religious hatred for their “punk prayer” criticising Putin’s ties to the Church, and had been due for release in March.

Alyokhina echoed critics who said the amnesty proposed by Putin was far too narrow and appeared aimed at deflecting criticism over human rights before Russia hosts the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi in February.

“I do not think it is a humanitarian act, I think it is a PR stunt,” she said by telephone in comments to the Russian Internet and TV channel Dozhd. “My attitude to the president has not changed.”

In addition to the amnesty, Putin unexpectedly pardoned Mikhail Khodorkovsky, the Russian former oil tycoon who is widely seen by Kremlin critics and Western politicians as a political prisoner.

Khodorkovsky, who was freed after more than a decade in jail and flown to Germany, said Putin is seeking to improve Russia’s image while also showing that he is confident in his grip on power after weathering large opposition protests and winning a third term last year.

Putin wants to send “a signal to society and the world that he feels secure and is not afraid”, Khodorkovsky said in an interview with he Russian magazine the New Times.

Lawyers say the amnesty will also enable 30 people arrested in Russia after a Greenpeace protest against Arctic oil drilling to avoid trial on hooliganism charges, removing another irritant in ties with the West.

Putin said the amnesty was not drafted with the Greenpeace activists or Pussy Riot in mind. Looking confident and relaxed during an annual news conference last week, he described Pussy Riot’s protest as disgraceful, saying it “went beyond all boundaries”.

Human rights activists have said the amnesty is far too limited, estimating will free fewer than 1,500 convicts, a small fraction of the nearly 700,000 Russians behind bars.

Alyokhina, bundled in a thick green prison jacket and with her long curly hair loose, smiled as she left detention in the company of her lawyer and told Reuters she was feeling well.

She said that had it have been possible for her to refuse the amnesty, she would done so out of solidarity for those still in jail and that she now planned to lobby for prisoners rights.

“I was keen to reject this amnesty, but the prison had received an order that is why I was brought here,” she told Reuters.

“I would like now to deal with the issue of prison, I would like to engage in human rights … I’m not afraid of anything anymore – believe me.”

Pyotr Verzilov, the husband of fellow band member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, 24, who is also due to be freed under the amnesty, which covered inmates convicted of hooliganism and mothers of young children, was awaiting her release outside a jail in the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk.

A third band member, Yekaterina Samutsevich, was released last year when a judge suspended her sentence on appeal.

Tolokonnikova’s father Andrei told Reuters last week he sees his daughter’s planned release not an act of mercy but “an absolutely cynical game” of public relations ahead of the Olympics. (Additional reporting and writing Alissa de Carbonnel; Editing by Alison Williams)
