Jo Malone London Releases Limited-Edition Birthstone Fragrance Caps

TOP IT OFF: Jo Malone London is releasing a limited-edition collection of bronze bottle caps with birthstones in partnership with brand ambassador Karen Elson and British jeweler Duffy.
The collaboration, Karen Elson’s Birthstones by Duffy, is a personal project for the pair. Elson has always had an affinity for birthstones. “What I love most is that they seem so charming and precious, and the idea of being able to create something coveted and collectible was really important to me,” she said.
Duffy, who works with vintage jewelry, said the collaboration allowed him to achieve his longtime dream of designing a bottle cap. “I’ve always wanted to make a bottle top, either for a drink or a fragrance. It was a challenge to work with an object I’ve never worked with before. It seemed like a natural pairing as Karen and I had already known each other through family connections,” Duffy said.

CFDA Releases New York Fashion Week Schedule

The next New York Fashion Week will see a dual-gender Tom Ford show bridge the official men’s and women’s calendars.
The Council of Fashion Designers of America released a preliminary schedule Tuesday night that includes Ford at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 6, the last of the three-day men’s-specific schedule. His show will be co-ed, however.
In addition, Joseph Abboud will be showing at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 4, followed by Todd Snyder at 8:00 that night. Other known names on the men’s roster are Robert Geller who will show on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 7:00 p.m., and Ovadia & Sons who will show an hour later that night. Tuesday will also see shows from Dyne, N. Hoolywood, Landlord and Linder.
As reported, a shift in dates by Project in Las Vegas means that the runway shows will overlap with the men’s trade shows this time. Project, Liberty and Agenda will hold their shows Feb. 5–7.
As far as the women’s shows are concerned, Ralph Lauren will kick off the week at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, and Marc Jacobs will end the week on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 6:00 p.m.

Undertale Creator Announces and Releases Mysterious New Project

Following a tease yesterday, Undertale creator Toby Fox has unveiled Delta Rune, a free follow-up to 2015’s Undertale.

As various Undertale fans have pointed out online, Delta Rune is an anagram for Undertale and refers to the symbol on Undertale NPC Toriel’s tunic.

Delta Rune’s website contains several warnings in English and Japanese about things like overriding security protocols and refraining from discussing “the program” for 24 hours in the interest of public safety.

The site says these warnings are the final ones players will receive before encouraging them to take things into their hands and allowing them to download Delta Rune for PC or Mac.

Rapha Releases a Series of Events in Anticipation of Tour de France

RIDE WITH ME: Rapha, the sportswear and lifestyle brand, has released its first brand campaign to promote cycling. A short film, produced in partnership with Mother LA, a Los Angeles-based production agency, will lead the campaign.

MANY HATS — To launch its new shoe, called Arkyn, Adidas staged a discussion centered on women and the different hats they wear, the latest example of how sneaker brands are muscling into female territory.
Kendall Jenner showed up at the end of the conversation, which took place in a back room of the Adidas flagship in the Marais district of Paris, with a small gathering of a mostly French and largely female audience.
Jenner’s arrival was announced by a noisy crowd outside the store that had gathered for a glimpse of the model and social media star.

IMG Releases NYFW: The Shows Roster

IMG has released its preliminary February 2018 schedule for New York Fashion Week: The Shows, taking place Feb. 8-14 at Spring Studios, with additional shows at Industria and elsewhere.
For the first time, Spring will serve as the centralized hub for NYFW: The Shows-related activity, including runway shows and presentations. Several of the IMG-affiliated designers are showing in offsite locations.
Separately, designers who aren’t showing as part of NYFW: The Shows, such as Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Victoria Beckham, Alexander Wang, Carolina Herrera and Vera Wang, continue to show in venues all over the city.
Last season, the main location for NYFW: The Shows was Skylight Clarkson Sq, after Skylight at Moynihan Station was no longer available. Those two venues had been the main venues since fall 2015. The spaces at Spring Studios include Gallery 1, which can seat 650 people and Gallery II, which seats 400 people.  Some 64 designers are presently on the NYFW: The Shows roster.

Forever 21 Releases Details of Security Breach

Forever 21 said Thursday it is tightening security efforts at its store cash wraps following its disclosure last month of a breach at some of its U.S. stores.
Details of the security breach, which was first disclosed publicly by the company in November, did not include how many stores within the U.S. were impacted or in what states. The retailer said it is continuing to look at whether any of its overseas stores were impacted since those doors run off of point-of-sale systems different from its domestic locations.
Forever 21 does business in 57 countries via a fleet of more than 815 stores.
The company said encryption technology at some cash registers had been turned off in certain cases and malware installed by criminals looking to mine the system for customer payment data. Forever 21 confirmed the malware was able to access cardholder names in some instances but in most cases was only able to obtain card numbers, expirations and verification codes.
The vulnerability in the system occurred between April 3 and Nov. 18 of this year with each store impacted by the breach subject to varying lengths of exposure ranging from days to the entire April-November period, Forever 21 said. The company’s investigation

Copdate Aims to Make Sneaker Releases More Democratic

Andrew Raisman, who used to own the Montreal-based Fidel Clothing, wanted to merge his love of sneakers with his app development experience, so he launched Copdate, an app that allows customers to reserve a digital spot in line for sneaker releases instead of camping out on the street.
“We wanted to address issues in the sneaker world from the consumer and retail side,” said Raisman. “Sneaker releases are presenting pain points for the entire industry.”
The Copdate app works like this: customers download the app, follow participating retailers on the app — Copdate partners with mostly specialty sneaker retailers including Extra Butter, Proper, Packer and Burn Rubber — and users will receive a notification when reservations for releases become available. The user can then cop the item and if they win, they will be notified with a reservation number, which they use to pick up the sneakers in the store. Raisman said using Copdate does not guarantee that the customer will obtain the shoes, but it can make the pool of interested buyers smaller by limiting the raffle to certain geographic locations.
“The cycle of a sneaker release is something like this: the shoe is leaked, then it’s seeded to celebrities,” said Raisman.

EXCLUSIVE: Chambre Syndicale Releases New Additions to Paris Men’s Week

MAN UP: The dates and times are yet to be confirmed, but the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode on Monday released the list of new additions to the official runway schedule for Paris Men’s Fashion Week in January, with Vetements among the headlining acts.
As reported, the maverick fashion label plans to stage its next coed show — for the fall 2018 season — on Jan. 19 in the French capital. Other names joining the official lineup include France’s Nïuku, Germany’s GmbH, Sweden’s Acne Studios and Britain’s Dunhill London, which in June presented the debut collection from ex-Burberry alum and new creative director Mark Weston on its home turf.
His approach may be full-on gender fluid, but Palomo Spain’s Alejandro Gomez Palomo will also be joining the men’s runway ranks this season. Mitchell & Ness is trying out a new collection.
The retro sportswear brand, which holds an eight-year licensing agreement with the NBA, will release the Swingman assortment. The collection consists of basketball jerseys and matching basketball shorts from former and current players.
“The Nineties are trending with oversized clothing and retro footwear, and sports apparel is the top complement for that trend,” said William Warren Jr., marketing manager at Mitchell & Ness. “Throwback jerseys have been very popular again since the reboom in 2013.”
The collection includes rookie jerseys from NBA’s current star players such as LeBron James and Stephen Curry, in addition to pieces from former basketball legends such as Magic Johnson and Allen Iverson. The American Idol alum, 26, premiered his latest song, “Up All Night,” on Tuesday, one month ahead of the release of his new EP, Orion.

“‘Up All Night’ came from when I was having a really rough month trying to see how I could make a statement and prove myself and was getting nowhere,” Archuleta shares with PEOPLE.

The singer retreated into nature for some songwriting inspiration.

“A family living in rural Tennessee invited me over to go fishing at their pond. None of the kids even had smartphones at the time. They took me in and when I got home I realized I felt whole again,” Archuleta reveals. “I was so confused with what happened that I couldn’t sleep. I had to get out what I was feeling so I went to the keyboard and recorded the verse and chorus with some lyrics that night.”

Archuleta’s retrospective lyrics represent the mix of self-reflection and pop melodies that fans can look forward to hearing on his new EP.

Orion is the first in a series of EP’s that I have been working on since returning from a two year mission in Chile,” he tells PEOPLE. “I’ve co-written all of the songs, and they they tell the journey of where I have been and where I am heading.”

“Up All Night” follows-up the EP’s lead single, “Numb,” which premiered last November. Earlier this month, Archuleta debuted the artwork for Orion on social media, also sharing that the album would be available on May 19.

British Designer Gareth Pugh Releases Short Film Ahead of London Fashion Week

CINEMATIC TEASER: British designer Gareth Pugh has released a cinematic teaser ahead of his fall show, which takes place during London Fashion Week. Pugh will stage a runway show at 8 p.m. in Collins Music Hall in Islington Green on Feb 18.
Filmed in black and white, the production was directed by Ruth Hogben and Andrea Gelardin, who worked with creative consultant Carson McColl.
The film — which runs in under three minutes — opens up to a phrase from William Shakespeare’s King Lear, “‘Tis the time’s plague when madmen lead the blind.” The movie features Latin American singer and songwriter Rebekah Del Rio singing “Llorando,” a Spanish-version of Roy Orbison’s “Crying” in a cappella. The “Mulholland Drive” star — wearing a fur coat — is pictured performing outdoors at an apartment complex.
Pugh said the moment was as “an iconic visual conceit, and a fitting metaphor for truth in a post-truth arena and a vision of a world on the precipice of anarchy.”
No stranger to a theatrical display, the designer’s spring show held last September took a cue from the opera. In addition, the designer unveiled more than 60 costumes on the stage of Palais Garnier in Paris.

Ed Sheeran confronts nostalgia head-on in the new music video for “Castle on the Hill,” one of the first singles from his new album, ÷ (pronounced “Divide”).

Filmed in his hometown, Framlingham in Suffolk, England, “Castle on the Hill” follows a young red-headed boy and his pals as they drink beers, drive fast, smoke cigarettes, and make out in cars. It’s a natural fit to the track which houses lyrics like, “Fifteen years old and smoking hand-rolled cigarettes/ Running from the law through the backfields and getting drunk with my friends/ Had my first kiss on a Friday night, I don’t reckon that I did it right.”

Celine Dion Releases Touching Video About Emotional Months Without Her Husband

Celine Dion’s year has been a bittersweet one.

The “Recovering” singer released a retrospective video on Thursday looking back on her tough 2016 and showcasing the strength she’s shown in the face of devastating loss. 

In January, the beloved singer lost her husband, René Angélil, to throat cancer. Just a few days later, Dion’s brother Daniel died after his own battle with cancer. 

As the video shows, the singer put on a brave face for the couple’s three children, later returning to Vegas to put on an emotional show after Angélil’s death about a month later. Throughout the rest of the four-and-a-half minute clip, we see glimpses of Dion traveling around the world, performing, attending fashion and award shows and somehow finding the time to release her 26th studio album. 

“My voice does not resonate without you,” the singer said, ending the video with a touching note to her fans. “You have made my childhood dream come true. I hope I have inspired you to reach out for yours.”

Beastie Boys’ Ad-Rock Releases Shoe To Raise Money For Planned Parenthood

Vegan footwear brand Keep has joined forces with Beastie Boys’ Adam “Ad-Rock” Horowitz to benefit Planned Parenthood.

They collaborated on “The Ramos Ad-Rock,” a sneaker with a “weather resistant, nylon cordura body” lined with “synthetic fleece and accented with channel quilted, silicon coated nylon.”

It comes with both black and magenta laces and retails for $ 97. Net proceeds of the shoe will go to Planned Parenthood.

Ad-Rock released a statement saying that he wanted to release the shoe because he supports “small business, women run business, Asian-American run business,” according to Pitchfork.

“I support a woman’s right to choose and feel that women should not be punished for making decisions about their own lives and bodies. If you have similar beliefs, you might wanna grab a pair. Or, if you simply support fresh styles, then you too can be part of what peeps in Keeps are doing,” the statement says. 

The team at Keep has previously partnered with other artists like Bon Iver and Animal Collective’s Deakin.

A Tribe Called Quest Releases A Perfect Meditation On The Sad State Of America

While it seemed that virtually everyone, regardless of their political beliefs, was utterly shocked when Republican candidate Donald Trump won last week’s presidential election, iconic hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest saw it coming. 

“I knew it was gonna happen,” Jarobi White told Vanity Fair last week. The outcome was predicted on A Tribe Called Quest’s latest album, “We Got It From Here … Thank You 4 Your Service,” their first release in 18 years.

The album, available for streaming below, features Jarobi White, Q-Tip, Ali Shaheed Muhammad and the voice of late member Phife Dawg, along with guest appearances by artists including Elton John and André 3000.

Although there is a song titled “The Donald” on the record, the track “We the People …” features lyrics that will surely resonate the most with those who opposed Trump. The song’s chorus sums up present-day America in simple and scathing verses:

All you black folks, you must go
All you Mexicans, you must go
And all you poor folks, you must go
Muslims and gays, boy, we hate your ways
So all you bad folks, you must go

CHARLOTTE’S SNAPS: Kensington Palace released two photographs of Princess Charlotte on Sunday.
Taken by the Duchess of Cambridge, the photos were shot in Anmer Hall, Norfolk, earlier this month.
Princess Charlotte is shown sitting on a gingham chair wearing a print dress and a pink cardigan alongside a stuffed animal.
This is the second set of photos shot by the duchess. Kensington Palace released portraits of Prince George and Prince Charlotte in June, shot at the family’s home in Kensington Palace in mid-May, two weeks after Charlotte was born.

GOOD SPIRITS: Joseph Altuzarra, Patrick Demarchelier and Camille Rowe-Pourcheresse figure on this year’s Martell France 300 List, which ranks French and France-inspired talents in fashion, the arts, gastronomy, mixology and entertainment. The project was spearheaded by Diane Kruger, the cognac house’s ambassador.

As part of the project, the spirits-maker conducted research globally on the influence of French lifestyle. In fashion, the inspiring attributes were elegance, couture, jewelry, handbags and creative fashion.

Royal Family Releases First Photos Of Princess Charlotte With Prince George

Yep, they’re siblings all right!

The British royal family on Saturday released a new photo of Princess Charlotte and her older brother Prince George, the first to feature both siblings together. It’s also the first public photo of Charlotte since the days following her birth in early May:

According to The Telegraph, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, took the photo of her children herself in mid-May, when little Charlotte was only two weeks old.

“There was a very warm public response when Princess Charlotte was born, which was very much appreciated by the Duke and Duchess, and so they wanted to share this with the public,” an unnamed royal source told the paper.

Kensington Palace teased the photo of Charlotte and George on Twitter prior to its release, referring to it as “very special” and adding, “Can’t wait to share it with you!”

Prince William and Duchess Kate currently reside in Anmer Hall, where they’ll raise their young family — aided by a full-time nanny — for the next few years, BBC reports.

Singer-Songwriter Matt Gold Releases ‘Low’ Video Inspired By His Personal Relationships

Indiana-based singer-songwriter Matt Gold says the video for his new track, “Low,” is inspired from “having been broken down” in his relationships.

The song, which was released in April, melds Gold’s haunting melodies with personal lyrics. The out musician, who has developed a cult following with performances on college campuses and in intimate venues across the nation, hopes the tune once again expresses “the overall human experience” as opposed to anything specifically gay or queer.

“While a pat on the back or a hug can ease your pain for a second, no one really knows what is going on inside,” Gold told The Huffington Post in an interview. “They can say they relate, but can they really?”

In a music scene that has embraced openly gay performers like Sam Smith and Adam Lambert, Gold says he is ultimately happy to be “making music that is authentic to who I am” and “grateful for anyone, gay or straight, who understands my message.”

“Everybody has something to bring to the table, and hopefully I am something you come back for,” he added.

Under Armour Releases Kevin Plank’s Earnings

BANKING ON PLANK: Under Armour Inc. founder, chairman and chief executive Kevin Plank continues to distinguish himself in ways other than the wealth he’s amassed, estimated most recently by Forbes to be $ 3.2 billion. The company’s definitive proxy, released by the Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday, notes that Plank last year drew his customary annual salary of $ 26,000, “which was his approximate salary when he founded the company” in 1995. Plank compensates for this relatively paltry sum in other ways. The UA chief owns 36.2 million shares of the company’s stock, 16.8 percent of those outstanding, according to the proxy, and worth $ 2.76 billion as of Friday’s closing price of $ 76.05.
His modest take-home pay notwithstanding, he managed to boost his total earnings 11.5 percent to $ 3.6 million in 2014 as a doubling of his stock awards, to $ 1.6 million, was enough to offset a 19 percent reduction in his cash bonus, to $ 1.9 million.

Starbucks Releases New Drink Called The Flat White… WTF Is It?

Starbucks kicked off 2015 with a jolt of caffeine, thanks to a new drink unveiled Tuesday morning. We wouldn’t have it any other way, of course, but we feel an explainer is in order.

The new drink is called a “Flat White,” and it’s a kind of espresso beverage that originated in Australia in the early 1980s. According to a Starbucks statement, the Flat White “is an espresso beverage made with two ristretto shots, combined with a thin layer of velvety steamed whole milk and finished with a latte art dot.”

It apparently has an “intense coffee flavor” (perfect for Starbucks addicts everywhere) and has been served in Australia since 2009 and the UK since 2010. It’s regarded as Australia’s signature coffee drink, and one visitor described their first taste of a Flat White as “such silkiness, such balance of milk and espresso, such richness and flavor mixed together in a blend of smooth and velvety goodness.” YUM.

A grande Flat White with whole milk comes in at 220 calories, 11 grams of total fat and 17 grams of sugar. The drink is for sale nationwide and pricing may vary depending on city.

Madonna Releases Six New Songs In Response To ‘Rebel Heart’ Album Leak

Unfinished mixes of Madonna’s upcoming album, “Rebel Heart,” appeared on the Internet this week after leakers decided they couldn’t wait until spring 2015 for the Queen of Pop’s “MDNA” follow-up. In the wake of their actions, Madonna randomly released six new songs off the album, immediately available for purchase on iTunes and other online retailers.

“I was hoping to release my new single ‘Living for Love’ on Valentine’s Day with the rest of the album coming in the spring,” Madonna said in a statement. “I would prefer my fans to hear completed versions of some of the songs instead of the incomplete tracks that are circulating. Please consider these six songs as an early Christmas gift.”

The released tracks include “Living for Love,” “Ghosttown,” “Devil Pray,” “Illuminati,” “Unapologetic Bitch” and “Bitch I’m Madonna,” featuring Nicki Minaj. Producers include Madonna, herself, Diplo, Kanye West, Billboard, Dahi and Blood Diamonds. In an Instagram post that has now been deleted, Madonna reportedly described the leak as “artistic rape”:

Lea Michele Releases Song, ‘You’re Mine,’ For Cory Monteith (AUDIO)

Lea Michele has released a moving new song dedicated to her late boyfriend, Cory Monteith.

The “Glee” star said the song had been one of Monteith’s favorites before his death last year of a drug overdose at the age of 31.

On it, Michele sings:

And I told you all my dreams and fears
And you looked at me and your eyes filled with tears
And you said those three words I’d been waiting for
You became a part of me, yeah

“It makes me so happy, this song. It makes me think so much of Cory,” she told Elle in November. “It was ours. When I think of him, I play this.”

The song will be featured on Michele’s new album, “Louder,” which drops on March 4. But on Monday, she took to Twitter to tell fans they could listen to it now.

“Louder” also contains a song called “Cannonball” that Michele said helped her cope with Monteith’s death, MTV News reported last December. Another tune, “If You Say So,” refers to the last words she heard from him.

“It’s a very personal and it’s a very intense song for me,” she told MTV News.
