Vladimir Putin Shows Off His Musical Skills On A Piano In China

We’re guessing he didn’t take requests.

Russian President Vladimir Putin showed off his piano skills in Beijing Sunday, playing a few tunes while waiting for Chinese President Xi Jinping at a state guesthouse, The New York Times reported.

Putin tickled the ivories with a pair of 1950s, Soviet-era tunes, Vasily Solovyov-Sedoi’s “Evening Song” and Tikhon Khrennikov’s “Moscow Windows,” the Times noted.

He’s played the piano before in public ― and his performance shouldn’t be too surprising. The Russian leader isn’t shy about displaying himself as a macho renaissance man, also participating in judo, ice hockey and horseback riding ― the latter sometimes shirtless.

Putin was in Beijing to discuss a $ 1 billion economic plan called “One Belt, One Road” that is intended to benefit dozens of countries, according to news outlets.

Twitter was amused by the president’s performance.

Vladimir Putin Talks ‘Tetris’ Tactics In Spoof Phone Call With Donald Trump

Russian President Vladimir Putin is a titan at “Tetris.” Apparently.

In Conan O’Brien’s latest imagined telephone call, Putin schools President Donald Trump on the intricacies of the tile-matching puzzle video game.

“We stack the pieces as they fall, placing them exactly where they need to be,” says the fake Putin.

“We let them pile up, biding our time, waiting for the exact right moment,” he adds. “Then when everything is in place, when the pressure is mounting and it seem like everything is about to end, we drop the final pieces and bring the whole thing down.”

Sounds like good “Tetris” advice to us. Well, he couldn’t be talking about anything else, could he?

‘SNL’ Version Of Vladimir Putin Tries To Reassure Anxious Americans About President Trump

Well, it’s official. Donald John Trump is now the president of the United States. And on this week’s “Saturday Night Live,” a shirtless Vladimir Putin had a clear message for the American people: “Relax. I got this.”

The satirized version of Russia’s president, played by Beck Bennett, returned to NBC to promise Americans he’d take care of the good old U.S. of A. “It’s the most expensive thing we’ve ever bought,” he explained.

A destitute (and clearly coerced) Russian woman, played by Kate McKinnon, was brought out to explain how great things are in her native country under Putin’s leadership: “I sleep in bed, not in carcass of dog. My president is No. 1 hottie for all time.”

Bennett’s Putin personally addressed Trump as well. After highlighting the huge turnout for Saturday’s Women’s March on Washington, the fictionalized Russian leader called out Trump for lying about the size of his inauguration crowd: “If you’re going to lie, don’t make it so obvious. You know, say you are friends with LeBron James, not that you are LeBron James.”

The “SNL” iteration of Putin bade farewell to the American people with a disconcerting sentiment: “It’s going to be a long four years for many of you, but remember, we’re in this together.”

Vladimir Putin’s Childhood Besties Defend Their ‘Petty’ Pal In ‘SNL’ Spoof

Saturday Night Live” poked fun this weekend at Vladimir Putin’s reported personal vendetta against Hillary Clinton.

Vanessa Bayer and Fred Armisen, playing two of the Russian president’s childhood friends, stopped by the “Weekend Update” segment to champion their lifelong bestie amid reports that he was directly responsible for his country interfering in the U.S. presidential election.

But after initially defending their “focused” and “disciplined” long-time pal, they admitted he could be “pretty petty” — and in hushed tones recalled a series of times when he’d turned on them following what they assumed was a trivial incident.

While not directly referred to, the skit was clearly mocking reports that Putin oversaw the interference as revenge for Clinton’s 2011 call for an investigation into his country’s parliamentary elections ― a reason that “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert said last week was “lame.”

Check it out in the clip above.
