Donald Trump Tweeted ‘We’ And Started A Movement

Something amazing happened on Twitter on Saturday. The President of the United States, arguably one of the most controversial people on the platform, tweeted one word with two letters and so much power.

Donald Trump, or a White House staffer representing Trump, typed “We,” then hit the tweet button, sending the word to the president’s 29 million followers.

The series of events that happened next unraveled quickly. According to BuzzFeed, the operator of POTUS’ Twitter account deleted the tweet within minutes, but not before it was memorialized by the quick-thinking people of Twitter.

First, people tweeted out snarky remarks about the two-letter tweet, as people have been known to do when someone notable fumbles on Twitter.

Then people started completing the one-word prompt with music lyrics.

Later, people began to rally behind Trump’s “We” tweet, which by then had long been deleted and replaced with a rather boring promotional tweet about the president’s interview with Fox News’ Judge Jeanine.

In a rare moment of unity, people began using the #We hashtag to speak about what they want for their country. Most tweets targeted the president for a variety of reasons ― missing tax returns, potential ties to Russia, healthcare ― but some contained simple requests for the president to take care of and protect the country the best he can.

WWE Star Nia Jax Posts Swimsuit Photo for Body Positivity: ‘We Aren’t Meant to Look the Same’

WWE star Nia Jax works to project a confident body image for her fans, but she doesn’t always feel that way on the inside.

Jax decided to post a swimsuit selfie on Instagram after fans thanked her for her body positivity during WrestleMania.

“Posting a picture of myself in a bathing suit is VERY hard for me. I have never been one to show off too much skin, and it’s not just because I’m a larger woman,” Jax writes.

“After this amazing #Wrestlemania weekend I had a chance to speak to a bunch of young women & men. Most, if not all of them, mentioned that my #BodyPositive mindset had helped them to be able to find confidence within themselves, which really touched me and even brought me to tears numerous times.”

The wrestler says she grew up in a loving family that supports her at any size, but there are still moments when she has her body doubts.

“Thankfully I have always had a family that has supported me and has always reminded me that my beauty comes from within, especially my mother,” Jax says. “She constantly reminded me that ‘no matter how beautiful you are on the outside, if you’re insides are ugly, that will be what everyone sees & feels.’ ”

“Don’t get me wrong, there have been many occasions where I wished I could be thinner or have a different nose or hairline to fit in, but I realized that fitting in is not always as important as it seems; I realized that I love standing out in positive ways!”

For Jax, she focuses on living healthfully, but she’ll also indulge from time to time. She says that balance is important.

“Self-confidence also goes along with being healthy!” she says. “I work out all the time, I eat healthy & try (emphasis on TRY) to get as much sleep as I can. There are obviously times where I love to pig out and enjoy myself, but I always make sure to never lose my focus on being healthy.”

“We aren’t meant to look the same, but we are all meant to be healthy,” Jax says. “Staying healthy adds to beauty. Even more importantly, it will increase your self-confidence. That’s been my experience at least.”

Austin Couple Turns Their Love of Ice Cream Into Sweet Success: ‘We Know How Happy It Makes People’

Ice cream has always played a sweet role in Chad Palmatier and Anthony Sobotik’s relationship.

In March 2005, when Chad, 43, introduced his then-new boyfriend Anthony, 35, to his family in Lancaster, Pa., the first thing they all did was head to their favorite ice cream corner shop to celebrate. And Sobotik, a self-taught chef, couldn’t get enough of the homemade treat.

“I was fascinated that they were using local ingredients and it was a family-run shop,” he tells PEOPLE.

Three years later, during a visit to Sobotik’s family home in Austin, the pair wanted to go out for ice cream again — but found only chain shops nearby. “And I was like, ‘Why isn’t anyone opening a shop here that uses local milk and cream and all the ingredients we have in Austin?’ ” recalls Sobotik.

So they did. In 2010, the couple sold their home in Ohio, moved to Austin, Texas, and opened Lock Honest Ice Creams with a mandate to use only wholesome ingredients from local farmers. “We want to support our local dairies and farmers,” Sobotik says. “That’s really important to us.”

With Sobotik dreaming up inventive flavors (Cilantro Lime, Texas Sheet Cake and Dewberry Corn Cobler), and Palmatier, a former store designer for Victoria’s Secret, focusing on branding, they’ve learned that starting a business with your partner can take a toll.

“The first year was so stressful,” says Palmatier. “Creating something together is all-consuming, and we were both just exhausted. But we’ve weathered every storm, it’s made us stronger as a couple.”

Three stores later (and a fourth opening this spring), it all comes back to the simple art of scooping. “We make a product that brings joy to people,” says Sobotik. “We know how happy it makes people.” And, of course, themselves. Adds Palmatier, “Anthony will still polish off a pint every now and then!”

Russell Wilson Says He and Ciara Have Decided on a Name for Their Baby: ‘We Both Have Some Creative Sense’

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson may be spilling the beans on whom he thinks will triumph in Sunday’s Super Bowl LI (spoiler alert: the  New England Patriots), but when it comes to his baby on the way, his lips are sealed.

“She’s doing great … it’s a blessing obviously, very excited about that,” Wilson, 28, told Extra‘s Mario Lopez of pregnant wife Ciara, adding that the couple know their baby’s due date, sex and name but are choosing not to reveal them.

“I can’t say exactly — we haven’t told really too many people at all,” adds the football star, whose team clinched their first Super Bowl win in 2014, of how far along his wife is in her pregnancy. “But it’s getting close. We’re getting there.”

“You want to make it special,” Wilson tells Lopez of keeping the baby’s sex and name under wraps, adding of the moniker they’ve chosen, “We do have a name picked out. It will be a good one.”

Lopez asks whether Wilson or his wife, who also has a 2½-year-old son named Future Zahir, was the mastermind behind the name choice.

“A little bit of both,” Wilson says. “I think we both have some creative sense about us, so it’s gonna be cool.”

Though the Seahawks didn’t advance to the big game this season, they did get close, falling to the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Divisional Playoffs in mid-January.

And Wilson didn’t sweat the loss, posting a sweet message on Instagram alongside a photo of Ciara, 31, planting a smooch on her husband’s cheek.

“I will forever win bc I get to come home to you every night. The love of my life. I love you,” Wilson wrote. “This past year has been full of so much joy & happiness.”

“From getting Married to having little one on the way, to your constant endless love. I couldn’t be more grateful to have you in my life Mrs. Wilson. You make everyday a perfect day. #ForeverGrateful.”

Prince William Appears on Talk Show in Vietnam: ‘We Are Falling Behind on Saving Wildlife’

Prince William made an impassioned speech at an international wildlife conference during his visit to Vietnam on Thursday, calling on the British government to ban imported ivory.

William, who is in the country for the first time as part of his campaign to clamp down on illegal wildlife trade, said that he feared campaigners weren’t making progress quickly enough.

“The truth is we are still falling behind,” he told delegates. “A betting man would still bet on extinction.”

He said that China has already “signalled a total ban, the USA has instituted one, and other nations including the United Kingdom are considering it.”

He added, “We know now what previous generations did not – ivory treated as a commodity is the fuel of extinction. Ivory is not something to be desired and when removed from an elephant it is not beautiful. So, the question is, why are we still trading it? We need governments to send a clear signal that trading in ivory is abhorrent.”

He praised the Vietnamese government for carrying out its first burning of illegally traded rhino horn and ivory last weekend and hailed how far the movement had come since two years ago when the first International Conference on the Illegal Wildlife Trade convened in London.

“Since then we have seen unprecedented partnership between African governments to work together to fight poaching through the Elephant Protection Initiative,” he remarked.

And William, who is patron of Tusk Trust and shares his passion for protecting wildlife with his brother Prince Harry, highlighted how the transportation industry was coordinating actions to clamp down on trafficking routes.

But he added, “There is much to be proud of and I want to make sure we take confidence from what has been achieved. We are on the right side of history.

“But here is the problem: we know that we aren’t moving fast enough to keep up with the crisis. Rhinos, elephants, pangolin, lions  — they are all still being killed in horrifying numbers.

“The Great Elephant Census published this summer confirmed our worst fears about the shocking 30 percent decline in the African elephant population in just seven years.”

The prince said he wants to to halt the demand for the wildlife parts in a part of the world that fuels the trade.

He also filmed an interview with a local chat show on Thursday. Interviewed by Thuy Duong, the presenter of Talk Vietnam, he discussed his love for wildlife and how much he enjoyed his first visit to the country.

Yesterday,  William met with schoolkids to talk about protecting rhino and visited a traditional medicine market, Lang Ong Street and discussed conservation efforts with activists and medical experts in a local coffee shop.
