Facebook still hasn’t fixed this loophole for fake accounts

Facebook still hasn’t fixed this loophole for fake accountsFacebook has been vocal about tamping down on fake news and ‘inauthentic’ user behavior, but there’s still a glaring loophole in its attempts. After years of pledges by Facebook (FB) to quash “inauthentic” behavior on the social network, Facebook Pages still don’t come close to being an open book. The ownership of these Pages — which anyone can set up on Facebook to highlight businesses, communities or public figures — continues to be a mystery.

Samantha Cameron Studio Files First Accounts, Sticks to Plan

LONDON — Samantha Cameron Studio Limited, owner of the Cefinn contemporary clothing brand, has filed its first financial statements with Companies House in the U.K. The company, which launched in 2016, also confirmed it is on track with its business plan.
Cefinn, an acronym of Samantha Cameron’s children’s names plus an extra C, launched in 2016 and began trading last year. It sells via its own website and at outlets including Selfridges, Net-a-porter, Matchesfashion.com, The Modist and Fenwick of Bond Street.
The accounts, published early Thursday on Companies House, the official register of U.K. businesses, are unaudited and abbreviated: British companies are required to file a full, audited profit and loss statement only when turnover exceeds 10.2 million pounds.
For the financial period ended Oct. 31, 2017 the business had assets of 271,828 pounds and registered 561,795 pounds in losses, which is not unusual for a clothing start-up such as Cefinn. Cameron is the sole director of the company, which had 10 employees at the time of the filing.
Cefinn had been trading for nine months when the accounts were filed at the end of fiscal 2017. Although the company does not disclose turnover, it said sales have doubled in the past three months of

The Best Makeup And Beauty Instagram Accounts

Sometimes when we think we need a whole a makeover, all we really need is to tweak our beauty routine. Even the unicorn lipstick that once made us feel invincible can start to feel stale after a while.

We rounded up our favorite Instagram accounts that keep beauty front and center. It’s true that a search for the hashtag #beauty on Instagram will turn up a whopping 159.2 million posts. Yet only a handful of those posts come from the accounts you really want to know about.

So scroll through and find a new way to use the makeup you’ve got, or find a reason to buy something new. Don’t worry, we need very little convincing, too.

Twitter accounts hijacked with 'Nazi' hashtags in Turkish

Twitter accounts hijacked with 'Nazi' hashtags in TurkishBy Eric Auchard FRANKFURT (Reuters) – A diplomatic spat between Turkey, the Netherlands and Germany spread online on Wednesday when a large number of Twitter accounts were hijacked and replaced with anti-Nazi messages in Turkish. The attacks, using the hashtags #Nazialmanya (NaziGermany) or #Nazihollanda (NaziHolland), took over accounts of high-profile CEOs, publishers, government agencies, politicians and also some ordinary Twitter users. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has accused the German and Dutch governments of Nazi-style tactics, drawing protests from both countries, after Turkish government ministers were barred from addressing political rallies there to boost his support among expatriate Turks.

Instagram 101: What Are “Feature” Accounts?

At INK361.com, we live and breathe Instagram. Often discovering great photography, niche communities, unique ideas and so much more. Some of these gems are found through delightful accidents, so in these upcoming posts, we will share with you some of what we love and know in hopes of encouraging more people to discover and explore to their hearts content.

Our first “Instagram 101″ post is about “Feature” accounts, so what are they exactly? Feature accounts are very simply a gallery dedicated to a specific topic, a community or promote great photography on Instagram. Most of the time, they are curated by passionate individuals that comb through hundreds of photos a day to find you the best of the best. The features are usually selected through submitting your own photos by tagging your post with the account’s dedicated hashtag. Even if your photos don’t get selected to be featured on the main account, by tagging your photos with those hashtags can still lead to new people discovering your photos and spark new friendships. These accounts foster an awesome sense of community.

However, these feature hashtags should only be used on relevant posts. When people tag photos that have nothing to do with the community, it makes the job for selecting features for the account managers much harder and breaks the integrity of the community you are trying to join.

Now that the basics are covered, here are some of our favourites:

1. @passionpassport – This account features some of the best travel photos from around the globe. They also regularly run photography competitions with prizes such as trips to unique destinations, photo prints and more. Photo by @petewilliams
