Antonio Berardi RTW Fall 2019

While he showcased his latest fall collection to buyers according to the traditional schedule, Antonio Berardi skipped any classic shows or presentations during fashion week this season. His beautiful collection was actually revealed to journalists with one-on-one appointments in his Milan showroom and via a range of images portraying fashion icon Catherine Baba.
“The idea that the collection starts in my world is given over to someone else, who makes it fit in her world, and the eventually of it becoming part of someone else’s universe on a totally different level is perhaps the most exciting thing of all,” Berardi said on Baba’s interpretation of her clothes.
Her bold personality actually exalted the already distinctive spirit of the collection — which, designed to complement the pre-fall range, was more focused on cocktail and evening attire.
Continuing to offer his own take on his inspiration from the year 1968 — already the theme of pre-fall — Berardi played with the sharp and the precise mixed with the soft and bohemian. A white minidress with scalloped edges and flared sleeves exuded the same feminine allure as another short dress, worked in overblown checks, showing exaggerated ruffles.

Asia Argento Is a ‘Victorious Woman’ for Antonio Grimaldi Couture

LABYRINTH WOMAN: Asia Argento has just been cast in a new role.
The Italian actress stepped in to play Ariadne, the Cretan princess who helps Theseus out of the Minautor’s labyrinth, according to Greek mythology, in designer Antonio Grimaldi’s fall 2019 couture show on Monday.

“Once she rescued Theseus, who she had fallen in love with, Ariadne was abandoned on the island of Naxos,” explained the designer, who themed his collection around the mythical love story and the symbol of the labyrinth. “Richard Strauss wrote an opera about it, which we will play as Asia closes the show.”
The designer confessed to have been “in love” with the actress for a long time. “I think she is a labyrinth woman,” he said backstage to Argento, who was sporting a gray embellished top and trousers designed by Grimaldi. “She’s my Ariadne.”

The collection mostly consisted of light colors. Spherical shapes and intricate embroideries hinted at the labyrinth theme, while a couple of flowing black and fuchsia dresses referenced the fiery love story. Models wore golden grids in front of their eyes, lending them a mysterious look. Gold insect-shaped jewelry

Antonio Berardi RTW Fall 2018

Back to Milan after nine years showing in London, Antonio Berardi paraded his fall collection show at his new atelier – a charming space with parquet floors and a stucco ceiling.
The opening look – a strapless, draped red gown – announced a softer tone. His usual dramatic, mysterious elegance yielded to new lightness and a touch of positive exuberance. This was reflected in the color palette, which included red, orange and turquoise, and the fabrics, such as the featherweight chiffon for breezy gowns embellished with tactile crystal embroideries. At the same time, Berardi’s sharp cuts, polished tailoring and sophisticated constructions were still there. Blazers featured pockets created by drapes, dresses unveiled ergonomic cuts enhanced by tonal color blocking, multi-layers created intriguing 3D effects ,and transparent inserts gave the impression of inlaid undergarments on ample taffeta and chiffon maxi dresses.
A double-breasted coat with a wide collar expressed a sartorial sophistication, while cozier looks included a sweater with cut-out details at the shoulder that was matched to a beautiful pencil skirt punctuated by tiny crystals and embroideries.
Bonded paper taffeta, holographic lace and silver, crocodile printed velvet added some striking, Beatle-like iridescence.

Collections: Fashion Met Emotion at the Most Theatrical Antonio Marras Show

“It was the longest week of my life,” Antonio Marras says, referring to the days before his runway show in September during Milan Fashion Week — a complex production that yielded a powerful emotional charge. As Marras’ wife Patrizia Sardo ironically put it, welcoming WWD at the show: “We always like simple things!”
The complexity stemmed from the fact that the event took place inside Milan’s Teatro Lirico, which is being gutted and restored after being closed for 25 years.
“As soon as I got into the theater, it was love at the first sight. It left me breathless,” says Marras, who was originally asked by the [artistic and cultural] Gianfranco Dioguardi Fondazione to present a project to decorate the façade. Shortly after, the designer was asked if it would be possible for him to hold the show at the theater. “I said ‘Everything is possible.’ So we started.”

The designer’s show actually inaugurated Gianfranco Dioguardi Fondazione’s “Cantiere-Evento [Construction-Event]” project aimed at bringing life to locations that are being restored in order to involve the public in the process.
“Three days before the show, we were still forced to wear helmets to stay inside the theater and we

Antonio Sabàto Jr. Divorcing Wife Amid Drug Abuse Allegations

Antonio Sabàto Jr. and his wife Cheryl Marie are calling it quits after five years of marriage.

The former soap star, who recently announced plans to run for U.S. Congress, reportedly filed for divorce back in December 2016, according to TMZ. Sabato Jr. is seeking joint custody of their 6-year-old son, Antonio Kalani, while Marie is asking for sole physical custody over concerns for her child’s safety.

Marie is claiming in documents obtained by the media outlet that her estranged husband struggles with drug abuse. The television presenter and former beauty pageant winner alleges that Sabato Jr. admitted to using crystal meth before they started dating, but has more recently abused benzodiazepines, a class of drugs that are primarily taken for treating anxiety and sleeping disorders.

While Sabato Jr. admits to seeking treatment for an addiction to sleeping pills in the past, he denies the other allegations. A representative for the actor told HuffPost that the accusations are “unfounded,” but as the divorce proceedings are ongoing, he has no statement at this time.

Coincidentally, Sabato Jr. has made substance abuse and the opioid endemic a central part of his political platform, as he runs for California’s 26th Congressional District seat, against incumbent Rep. Julia Brownley (D).

The 45-year-old, who was one of Hollywood’s biggest supporters of Donald Trump in the last election, filed with the Federal Election Commission earlier this month. According to GOP strategist Charles Moran, Sabato Jr. plans to utilize his connection to the current president as “a member of the majority party who has good relations with the Trump administration.”

The “Melrose Place” actor was inspired to run for office after praising Trump at the Republican National Convention in 2016, which he believes was the reason he’s been blacklisted in Hollywood

HuffPost has reached out to representatives for Sabàto Jr. and will update this post accordingly.

Jason Derulo, Antonio Brown Go Behind the Scenes at LVL XIII Fall Campaign

Jason Derulo walks the talk. Even though the singer is not doing one of his trademark backflips or dance routines at the moment, he’s ever mindful of keeping up his powerful physique, and his growing profile as a fashion trendsetter. He settles into a director’s chair to eat poached salmon and asparagus (which he has ordered for his small posse as well) at the glam station before the fall shoot for his and Antonio Brown’s LVL XIII label commences in Los Angeles.
“It’s crazy,” he said, of how the label he is growing with Atlanta-based designer Brown (he, his manager and Brown are all equity partners in the business) has grown from a sneaker line into a full-fledged fashion collection that will enter Bloomingdale’s this fall. “Everything just happened naturally. We didn’t force it or weren’t aiming toward anything at first. But we definitely had a vision for doing both shoes and clothing.”

Jason Derulo wears LVL XIII’s colorblock T-shirt and dress pant.

Of how he and Brown collaborate together from different cities — Derulo is based in L.A. and Brown hops between Atlanta, New York and L.A. — he said, “Bouncing ideas off each other, being brutally honest. We don’t care about each other’s

Antonio Berardi RTW Fall 2017

The treacherous Lady Macbeth was Antonio Berardi’s muse for fall, compelling the designer to look to the Scottish Highlands and vigorous outdoor pursuits like climbing and mountaineering for inspiration. Cue a restrained collection with dreamy romance at its core, toughened up by some great outerwear.
Like Shakespeare’s scheming heroine, garments weren’t always what they seemed. What looked like a skirt and top were often dresses, and a tailored jacket and trouser combo was actually a jumpsuit. For instance, the opening look, a navy dress that appeared to be a high-neck sweater tucked into a full and flouncy skirt fitted with outdoorsy drawstrings to add volume, and the lovely cream silk jumpsuit that disguised as a pair of tailored pants and a matching jacket.
Berardi reinterpreted the parka into a luxe cashmere incarnation with a dramatically tall collar and wide belt that had a removable back skirt, and he had vanquished the vacuum-packed silhouetted of old, confidently embracing a more relaxed attitude, seen in the wide-leg pants with their appealing fold-down waistbands.
The collection marched through navy, cobalt, grape, crimson, gold, cream and black, the show closing with a run of romantic silk chiffon gowns in nude and black silk, trimmed with gossamer black

Antonio Marras Pre-Fall 2017

David Herbert Lawrence’s “Lady Chatterley’s Lover” and a Seventies Italian erotic movie are potentially risky inspirations for a designer — beware the line between sexy and trashy. But Antonio Marras would never be so on the nose. He knows the art of nuance. Despite his hot references, his pre-fall collection was all about a chic eccentricity. The sensuality that coursed through the lineup was carefully balanced by mannish accents.
Lady Chatterley’s British origins emerged in a selection of traditional English patterns, such as checks and tartan, all mixed and matched with contrasting leopard and botanical motifs. For example, Marras’ creative métissage gave an eclectic feel to a patchwork bomber and coat that were embroidered with Asian flowers. The indulgent, sophisticated femininity of multicolored lace dresses, and lightweight printed silk cut into fluid, languid dress silhouette was compliment by the edgy modernism of upcycled embroidered military parkas. Marras delivered another rich, expressive collection that articulated his vast imagination.

BANDERAS’ NEW CLOTHES: Having comfortably established himself as a film star, Antonio Banderas is turning his hand to fashion. This week, the Spanish actor posted an image on his Instagram account of him standing amid tailor’s mannequins, to chronicle what he called his “2nd week of studies at Central Saint Martins,” calling the experience “intense, exciting, serious and fun all at the same time.”
A spokeswoman for Central Saint Martins confirmed Thursday that Banderas is studying a short course in bespoke tailoring at the London art school, which runs over four weeks.
“[Banderas is] starting from scratch and learning the basics of bespoke tailoring,” the spokeswoman said, noting that Banderas had spoken to the college earlier this year about enrolling in a tailoring course.
