First Look: Hugo Boss Capsule Collection by Leading Industrial Designer Konstantin Grcic

Hugo Boss has collaborated with Konstantin Grcic, one of Germany’s most influential industrial designers, on a limited capsule collection for fall 2019. Grcic’s award-winning work in seating and lighting is featured in the permanent collections of the world’s leading museums, including MoMA in New York and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris; in 2010, he was named designer of the year at Design Miami. Over his almost three-decades-long career, Grcic is perhaps best known for his focus on utility and simplicity — high fashion seems rather a long way from his usual remit. But not at all, Grcic told WWD as he showed off his Boss capsule collection in his airy Berlin studio, a converted factory floor with large windows and long white desks. “Beauty has a function, too,” he explained. “And if things are only practical, and not appealing, then you have a very different relationship to those objects. “I don’t want to stretch the metaphor too far but chairs come close to something that we almost wear,” he added. Grcic’s chairs have won design prizes and several feature in museum collections. “So it’s not a completely strange world to me.” This isn’t his first tie-up with a fashion brand either: In the

Peter Pilotto and Boss to Show at Milan Fashion Week

MILAN — Just ahead of the summer holidays earmarked for most of the Italian fashion crowd, Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana today released the first official draft of its Milan Fashion Week schedule, running Sept. 17 to 23.
Among the biggest novelties peppering the calendar, Peter Pilotto, after 12 years of shows in London, will make its official debut in Milan with a show on Sept. 18 at the Teatro Manzoni venue.
“We are very honored to join the Camera della Moda Italiana Fashion Week calendar and engage on this new journey,” said Peter Pilotto, who founded the namesake label with Christopher de Vos in 2007. “We are also proud to represent British fashion abroad in such a key and sophisticated fashion capital as Milan.” The brand in January tapped an Italian chief executive officer, Maia Guarnaccia.
The upcoming Milan Fashion Week will also see the debut of the Boss brand, which will stage a coed runway show Sept. 22 at Tortona Area Lab, as well as of leather specialist Drome, which will relocate its show from Paris.
“I think that we are unveiling a great, strong calendar featuring a great mix of international labels, storied brands and talented emerging designers,” said Camera Nazionale della

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Adds a Boss Enemy, Removes a Weapon

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s battle royale mode, Blackout, already featured zombies in select areas, but the latest update adds the fearsome Blightfather boss from Zombies into the mix.

Previously seen in Blackout during the mode’s beta stage, the Blightfather will be located south of the map’s Aslyum area in the Graveyard. You’ll know when he is available by a red pillar of light, and Treyarch said in a Reddit post that those who kill him will be “handsomely rewarded.”

Blightfather was originally seen in the Zombies map IX, and can also be fought on the Voyage of Despair map. He’s no pushover, requiring dozens of bullets to defeat.

Hugo Boss Teams With Jeremyville on Holiday Capsule

Every year, Hugo Boss commissions an artist to create a special collection to commemorate the Chinese New Year and the holiday season. Some years it’s easier, like 2018, the Year of the Dog, when the German brand worked with artist Julian Meagher to create Playforever, a collection centered around race cars where a dog is featured in the driver’s seat.
But 2019 will be the Year of the Pig, which creative director Ingo Wilts admitted “was a little bit challenging. How can we do Hugo Boss and a pig in a fun way?”

The sneakers are printed with pigs and other characters.

But when the brand found New York City-based artist Jeremyville, he soon put its fears to rest. The artist offered up a colorful cityscape featuring an array of characters, including pigs, that the brand put on accessories such as bags and shoes as well as apparel. The characters were printed onto leather accessories in a relief design, a leather backpack features a Jeremyville rabbit, and a sneaker has a raised pig motif. There are also dress shirts, sweatshirts, tees and bombers as well as figurines, charms and iPhone cases.

From Software president, Hidetaka Miyazaki, has hinted that a new Armored Core game is still in development, despite the lack of an E3 announcement.

The studio announced that it was working on three games back in 2016, and Miyazaki confirmed that Armored Core was in development at the time.

However, at E3 2018, the developer announced its new VR title, Déraciné, new Souls-like samurai game, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and a collaboration with Devolver to re-release cult Xbox mech game Metal Wolf Chaos.

Hugo Boss Awards Parsons Students in Circular Systems, Strategy Course With Prizes

YOU’RE THE BOSS: Students at Parsons School of Design at The New School in New York have been honing their sustainable fashion design and innovation skills with the help of Hugo Boss.
The partners tested the waters with a workshop last year. To encourage exchange between different disciplines, the project was open to students in various areas of the school from fashion design to business. At Wednesday night’s graduate exhibit opening at the New York school, Hugo Boss announced the winners of its Circular Systems and Strategy course. Twenty students participated in the 16-week program, which is part of the company’s partnership with Parsons.
The $ 12,000 first prize, Boss One, was awarded to Annabella Waszkiewicz, Gwyneth Ong and Jose Luis Cabrera. The $ 6,000 second-place Boss Skeleton went to Elijah Devries, Camilla Hopkinson, Irene Lu, Alex O´Brien and Lara Tang. The $ 3,000 Boss Mention was given to Chenyu Wang, Haoyu Chen and Monika Mikhail. Their concepts will be displayed in one of the Boss stores in New York this year. Hugo Boss Gets a Makeover

DUBAI — Hugo Boss is making efforts to bridge the gap between the brand’s men’s and women’s lines. “We need to bring the woman closer to the [Boss] man and build on our heritage — it’s suiting, it’s precision,” Ingo Wilts, chief brand officer for Hugo Boss, told WWD while here to celebrate the opening of the brand’s new generation store at Mall of the Emirates.
“We have to rebuild the women’s. Our woman always has to be feminine and sensual but she also has to be sexy. I think the mistake we did over the past years, we went a little left, right and center,” said Wilts, who is responsible for all creative and brand management.
“We do need to address the younger customer in our product.”
But he added that they will be driven by styling, not age first and foremost. “You can dress a younger woman with the same product as you dress an older woman. It depends on the styling. The younger woman might wear a skirt with a sneaker and the older woman with a more high heel.” He admitted that overall the brand for women in particular has skewed old. “We want, like everyone wants, to speak

Boss RTW Spring 2018

Going into his fourth year at the helm of Hugo Boss women’s collections, Jason Wu has chosen to simplify, streamline and lighten things up, not only in terms of the collection’s aesthetic but in his approach to presenting it. He’s stepped away from the runway for the past few seasons, presenting in Boss’ downtown Manhattan showroom after the madness of fashion month ends and skipped pre-collection presentations altogether.
“No one needs to see that much clothes,” Wu said. That doesn’t mean he’s not producing. In addition to the spiffy, nautical-themed spring lineup, there’s a new capsule Gallery collection that’s for Boss stores only. It’s full of colorblocking, bright tailored separates and soft pleated skirts.
As for spring, “It’s a lot less dressy and more casual,” he said, noting that he’s been focused on taking the stuffing out of Boss’ signature rigid suiting for the past few seasons, offering the Boss woman a lot in the way of chic and relaxed. The graphic print on a pretty draped and gently pleated dress was actually mini yellow and blue fish. A bright yellow boxy jacket was done in waterproof bonded nylon, like an update of a classic fisherman’s slicker. A neat navy peacoat came

Boss RTW Fall 2017

Jason Wu skipped the runway for his Boss women’s collection this season, showing the lineup a month after New York Fashion Week in the showroom. The reasoning was that Boss opted to direct its runway resources into a men’s show this season. Without the catwalk, the collection felt more low-key but was still stocked with strong pieces. Wu’s key messages were soft tailoring, fluid shapes and an emphasis on sweater dressing and blown out checks.
“Last spring was much about knocking the stuffing out of the suiting,” he said. “It’s about making it more approachable and much less office-y.”
To that end, he successfully worked the brand’s signature tailoring in lightly constructed, almost pajamalike jackets, showing black-and-white checks on a pair of wide-leg statement pants and a chic, deconstructed tailored dress.
There was a sporty side, too, with polished quilted puffers, and pants and knit tops in orange and blue trimmed in athletic stripes. There were day-to-evening looks in a checked camisole dress and skirts cut with sensual movement, and also some beautiful straight-up evening dresses cut with lean architectural bodices and soft, pleated chiffon skirts cut for raw texture.

10 Things We Know About Princess Charlotte’s Adorable, Boss Lady Personality

Princess Charlotte will be two years old on May 2 — but she’s got a personality way bigger than her little size would have you believe. Here is everything we know about the feisty, fun-loving little princess:

1. She’s close with her big brother, Prince George.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte don’t just look like the most adorable sibling pair — they actually are. During the unveiling of a new war memorial in London, Kate said that her two children are becoming “really good friends,” according to Samantha Burge, who spoke with Kate at the event.

2. She’s boss lady.

Prince George may have a lot of personality, but in the Cambridge house, it’s Charlotte who rules the palace. Also at the unveiling, Kate revealed that Charlotte is the “one in charge,” according to Burge. It makes sense: She is the Queen’s mini-me, after all.

3. She loves animals.

Last fall, Charlotte attended her first official playdate in Canada. (It was pretty much the cutest thing ever.) While she was there, she made a couple new friends — a little bunny and a service dog named Moose. She had a big smile on her face during her interactions with both. And we know she loves her dog, Lupo, and hamster, Marvin!

4. And balloons.

When she first arrived at the playdate, though, there was only one thing on Charlotte’s mind: touching the balloon arch. And she worked it like a pro.

5. She wears her brother’s clothes.

That Canadian playdate was a revealing afternoon! Eagle-eyed royal watchers also noticed something familiar about the blue cardigan wore to the playdate. Turns out, it was the same cardigan Prince George wore to the hospital when he was going to meet his baby sister! Sharing clothes, though, is a royal tradition, as we know.

6. She’s got a lot of toys.

When you’re a royal baby, you get gifts from people all over the world. So it makes sense that Charlotte’s toy chest is bursting, whether it’s with cuddly toys from her uncle, Prince Harry, or Charlotte’s favorite, according to her mom, Princess Kate — teddy bears, which she picked up in Canada.

7. She likes candy.

She may be a royal kid, but in some ways, Charlotte is just like all kids. After attending Christmas services with her family, she munched on a candy cane — as did her brother George!

8. She’s an equestrian.

Well, maybe one in training. While attending an event to meet and honor British Olympians at Buckingham Palace in October 2016, Princess Kate revealed that Charlotte already has developed a love of horses. Hey, if her grandmother is still riding at 90, it’s clearly in her genes!

9. She’s feisty.

Back in June 2016, just after Charlotte’s first birthday, Princess Kate revealed her little cutie has a feisty side (which we later saw on display during that playdate).

10. She’s really, really cute.

But you already knew that, right?

Boss Heading to New York Fashion Week: Men’s

There’s a new Boss coming to town.
As part of a strategic refocus, Hugo Boss is staging a men’s only, Boss brand fashion show during New York Fashion Week: Men’s on Jan. 31.
After spotlighting the Hugo Boss women’s wear collection on the New York runway for the last few seasons and presenting mixed men’s and women’s shows in China, the Metzingen-based giant has decided to more clearly center its attention on the company’s core business: men’s wear under the Boss brand.
“We have to give the brand a wake-up call,” acknowledged Ingo Wilts, the recently returned Boss men’s wear veteran who has joined the board as chief brand officer responsible for brand and creative management. “As a company, we have to change the perception of Boss as more modern, more young,” he said.
It’s not often that a fashion show venue is a key factor in an investor’s day presentation, but last November when Hugo Boss executives revealed the company’s strategic development plan. As reported, Hugo Boss announced the portfolio would henceforth be focused on two brands only — Boss, the upper-premium collection, and Hugo, its more progressive offering — with men’s wear now the primary focal point. Thus, the group said, the

Breastfeeding the Boss

After recently giving birth, Valerie’s chest has been swollen and overactive, causing discomfort and distraction all throughout the day. To ease the fullness, she purchases a breast pump to use while in the privacy of her own office. However, when her boss walks in on her in the middle of the process, she decides to act out on her inner fantasies. Now, she has a new mouth to feed. Word Count: 8,100This erotic short story features adult content, including erotic descriptions and taboo fantasies. For mature audiences only. All characters over 18.Excerpt:”Wait,” the girl managed to squeak out in a voice that fluttered in volume. Valerie clenched her palms around the armrests to stabilize her trembling body, but it didn’t stop the pleasant quakes from traversing all down her womanly form. God, she was so turned on right now! What was the cause of it? It had been a while since she had been with a man, and she avoided the opposite sex after her belly had started to become noticeable. Men hadn’t been on her mind for a long time, but when she gazed at her boss this very instant, it was the only thing she could think about. Her eyes drifted along his thin body, imagining his frame without clothes on. A flame ignited itself in her lower abdomen, and she braced herself against the desk as her breathing intensified. Andy noticed that something seemed to be plaguing the girl’s thoughts, and he asked her what was wrong.”Just close the door,” Valerie panted. The man did as she commanded, but it didn’t alleviate his rising confusion. “What is it?”Valerie removed herself from behind the desk, wobbling on two feet that could barely support her sexually-charged body. Being as graceful as her legs would allow, she trotted around the far edge of the furniture with a finger tracing the wood. Andy wasn’t exactly her ideal man for a partner, but beggars couldn’t be choosers. Right now, her body craved for the intimate company of a man, and it didn’t matter to her which man that it was.

‘Who’s The Boss?’ Star Danny Pintauro Reveals He Is HIV-Positive

On Saturday night’s episode of “Oprah: Where Are They Now?“, former child star Danny Pintauro revealed that he has been living with a big secret for more than a decade: He is HIV-positive.

Everyone remembers the young, blond-haired Pintauro as Jonathan on the family sitcom “Who’s the Boss?” For eight years, Pintauro played the son of a driven single mother, winning over audiences with his nerdy charm. But, in the years after “Who’s the Boss?” ended, the once-lighthearted little boy grew into a complicated young man trying to live a private life in the public eye.

In his sit-down with Oprah, Pintauro — who goes by “Daniel” now — begins the interview by sharing his long-held secret.

“I wanted to tell you this a long time ago, but I wasn’t ready. I’m ready now,” Pintauro says. “I’m HIV-positive, and I have been for 12 years.”

Part of why Pintauro hadn’t spoken publicly about his health before, he says, is because he wasn’t sure if people were ready for a conversation of this magnitude. “It’s just a big deal, you know? It’s not something that people are really talking about right now,” Pintauro says.

This isn’t the first time Pintauro has revealed a private detail about his personal life. In 1997, when he was a college student, Pintauro came out as gay — but he hadn’t exactly planned to. “I was outed,” Pintauro says. “It wasn’t by choice.”

The actor says that a tabloid reporter called him back then saying the paper was going to out him whether he cooperated or not. His former “Who’s the Boss?” co-star, Judith Light, encouraged Pintauro to participate as a way of controlling the conversation. “It was the best thing,” Pintauro says now. “‘They can’t misquote you,’ she said. ‘And as long as you give really responsible and mature answers, it can’t be a bad article.'”

And, as Pintauro realized, it wasn’t. “Believe it or not, the ‘National Enquirer’ actually did a really fantastic, heartwarming article about it,” he says. “I was shocked.”

Pintauro says he regularly underwent routine HIV testing every six months. Then, in March of 2003, his whole world changed.

“I was living in New York at the time and completely clueless to the idea that I was positive. I went in for a regular checkup,” Pintauro says. “It was just regular blood work. You go in, and you sort of waited two weeks on pins and needles — or at least I did, because I was just terrified of the idea of getting HIV.”

Having come out of a two-year relationship, Pintauro admits later in the interview that he had been looking to explore more sexually and began using crystal meth as a means to that end. “I was doing crystal meth, which completely ruins your immune system. I’d been doing it at that point very briefly, but it was three weeks or so, off and on,” he explains. “I had just come out of a two-year relationship, and I discovered in that relationship that there was more I wanted to explore sexually. Crystal meth takes away your inhibitions… And if you want to explore that adventurous side, taking the drug is going to put you there.

”I was experimenting,” he continues. “And believe it or not, I thought that I was being safe in that encounter. I know exactly when it happened.”

Though Pintauro doesn’t go into those details, he does say that he doesn’t remember the man’s name. “I regret not knowing that, because that person has completely changed my life,” he says.

Even though antiretroviral drugs (ARVs) had been introduced by the time Pintatuo was diagnosed, dramatically increasing the lifespan of those with HIV and reducing their risk of transmitting the infection to others, Pintauro was still devastated by his diagnosis. He struggled to make sense of his feelings.

“It was terrifying, and there was a sense of relief,” he says. “It’s backwards. You’ve spent so much time terrified that you’re going to get it, and then you have it. You don’t have to be terrified anymore.”

Today, Pintauro lives with his husband, Wil Tabares, in Las Vegas, and works as a restaurant manager. He told Oprah that his dreams in life are to open a bed and breakfast with Tabares, live a long life and be a beacon of light that can help make a difference to others along the journey. Pintauro also shared an important message for other men in the gay community.

”What I want my community to realize is we need to take better care of ourselves,” he says.

The 4 Classic Pieces J.Crew Boss Jenna Lyons Wants You to Wear

After 25 years at J.Crew, Jenna Lyons knows a thing or two—actually, anything and everything—about all-American fashion. As if her personal style isn’t enough to communicate that, talking to her quickly gives anyone a deep sense of her fashion know-how, quick-witted intelligence, and passion for the brand. (Plus, she remains genuinely excited about the First Lady donning J.Crew and endearingly flattered when receiving compliments.)

Lyons embodies both the laid-back ease and extreme fun that comes with wearing classic American pieces, turning her into an industry icon looked to by both newcomers and fashion vets for inspiration. Here, she shares thoughts on time-tested must-haves, the most important styling trick to take away from J.Crew’s ethos, and her love of Lauren Hutton, exclusively with us.

jenna-lyons-glamour

Glamour: What, in your opinion, makes a piece of clothing stand the test of time and become a classic?
Jenna Lyons: It’s interesting; often when I think about the things that actually fall into that—the options seem to be rooted in menswear. If you really look at what is iconic for both men and women, I feel like a lot of times they’re the same thing. It might be a trench coat, or a button-down shirt, or a classic pair of jeans. The things that start in this time-honored tradition of menswear—which has always been a heavy influence on style—go back to something that feels classic.

Glamour: How do you keep reinventing classics in a modern fashion?
JL: The element of surprise is important. I think the thing that makes something feel modern is that subtle shift, where all of a sudden it looks slightly different. Maybe it’s a seasonal color or maybe it’s showing it in a different way. Like, the leather of the season is a little glossier and might feel a little different than it did two years ago when it was a little bit more matte and soft. Those kinds of shifts in texture or color can really change your eye and change your perspective.

Glamour: What classics should we be shopping for this spring and summer?
JL: There are certain things that remain the same every year. I always want the perfect string bikini; I always want a great T-shirt; I always want a white shirt; I always want a simple pair of chinos and like a great sandal. What’s interesting to me is how those things shift in proportion every year, so there might be a time when you want the T-shirt to be really fitted, and that’s sort of what is happening with the white T-shirt. And then, sometimes you might want it to be a little more boxy and easy. The waists are coming up now, and higher-waisted things, and pants getting more cropped and wider-legged. That’s just another shift of proportion that I think feels new.

Glamour: J.Crew’s classic navy suit was very wide-legged in its 1990s catalogs with Lauren Hutton modeling.
JL: And it looks so ’80s doesn’t it? Eighties slash ’90s.

Glamour: But in a great way.
JL: I love it. And now our suit is actually much more close to the body; it’s got more construction in it, it’s got a little bit more—you know, it’s got the straighter lines. Lauren still wears our clothes, and I love seeing her in our clothes. It’s the same body, the same idea, but she looks so different today.

Glamour: J.Crew’s worked with so many of the top models over the years—we’ve talked about Lauren Hutton, but which women do you think best personify the spirit of the brand, and why?
JL: I would say Lauren for a lot of reasons. You can’t not talk about her. She was in this industry that was so incredibly looks-based, [but] she remained incredibly confident. She had been told many times to close the gap in her teeth, and she never did. To talk to her is sort of like talking to a combination of an excited, giddy 10-year-old and a wise owl. She’s got a lot of life experiences, but she’s still bubbly and curious.

Glamour: How do readers translate that into their style?
JL: The thing that we try to weave through everything we do, is to be careful about things looking too perfect. For things to feel just a little bit untouched, or a little bit casual. There’s a sort of natural sexiness and an undertone to things. It’s not overly polished.

Glamour: Any other J.Crew styling tips?
JL: What I think is interesting about styling is when it develops out of lifestyle. I talked about this a lot where you know you take one thing off and something else is sitting on the chair, so you end up throwing that on. Or, you borrow your husband’s shirt and you end up realizing that it actually looks great with your shorts. That lifestyle attitude is a natural sense of style where something evolved because of the way you live as opposed to being over articular or overly considered, if that makes sense.

Glamour: All of fashion’s great images have a je ne sais quoi about them, and I guess that’s J.Crew’s kind of version of that.
JL: I guess so!

‘The Interview’ Porn Parody Is Really Going To Upset Kim Jong-Un: Hustler Boss

Nothing screams freedom of speech like a good ol’ American parody porn film.

Hustler boss Larry Flynt announced that he’s producing a parody version of ‘The Interview’ as a response to the film being pulled from theaters amid threats by hackers linked to North Korea.

Sony’s move was criticized by President Barack Obama, as well as Hollywood A-listers like George Clooney and Sean Penn.

But Hustler Video is not backing down. The parody, which is titled “This Ain’t The Interview XXX,” will be released first quarter of 2015.

In “The Interview,” Seth Rogen and James Franco travel to North Korea in a plot to kill leader Kim Jong-un with an exploding tank shell that blows off the dictator’s face. What raunchy surprises will the Hustler treatment of the film have in store?

“If Kim Jong-un and his henchmen were upset before, wait till they see the movie we’re going to make,” Hustler founder and chairman Larry Flynt said, according to AVN. “I’ve spent a lifetime fighting for the First Amendment, and no foreign dictator is going to take away my right to free speech.”

If This Note Doesn’t Convince Your Boss To Let You Watch The U.S. Soccer Game, Nothing Will

Really want to watch the U.S.-Germany game on Thursday, but don’t know how you’re going to get off work? The U.S. men’s soccer team has you covered.

The team’s official Twitter feed sent a ready-to-go get-out-of-work note to its one million followers on Wednesday. And, well, it’s pretty perfect:

us letter

We also transcribed it in case it’s hard to read in its original form format whatever reason:

To whom it may concern:

Please excuse _____________ from work on Thursday, June 26th.

I understand that this absence may reduce the productivity of your workplace, but I can assure you that it is for an important cause. The #USMNT has a critical World Cup game vs. Germany and we will need the full support of the nation if we are to advance to the next round.

By the way, you should act like a good leader and take the day off as well. Go USA!

If your boss doesn’t let you root for your country after reading that, well, then maybe you need to find a new boss. The game is at 12 p.m. EST.
