Is This Kylie Jenner’s Dress for a ‘Special Occasion?’

MI CASA SU CASA: Is it a wind-up or a wedding? No one knows for sure, but beauty mogul Kylie Jenner certainly has social media abuzz about her Italian escapades. TMZ broke the news that what looked like a wedding dress was stowed away, when the beauty billionaire and Travis Scott boarded a private jet bound for “Bel Paese.” The fact that their toddler Stormi wasn’t the only member of their extended family who was along for the ride only ratcheted up the rumor mill. Kris Jenner, Corey Gamble, Scott Disick and Sofia Richie have also been photographed on various strolls in Italy. Jenner jump-started the celebration of her 22nd birthday two days early on Thursday night with Scott over dinner, complete with a candles-ablaze birthday cake and what looked like a serragghia serenade. Italian tradition calls for a groom to serenade his bride-to-be with musicians from beneath the balcony or window on the night before her wedding. Chalk that up to coincidence. The “Sicko Mode” singer did not appear to be sharing his talents at the dinner table in Capri. The feathery white dress that set the rumor mill in motion was carried in a white Saks Fifth Avenue garment bag. Staffers at

Versace Is Making Sneakers Inspired by Jennifer Lopez’s Iconic Green Dress

Nineteen years later, Jennifer Lopez’s plunging, jungle-themed dress is still iconic.
Case in point: the Versace number, which Lopez wore to the Grammy Awards in 2000, is getting the sneaker treatment in a collaboration between the fashion house and clothing brand, Concepts.
Launching Friday, the two have partnered for a limited-edition Chain Reaction platform sneaker that mimics the green, jungle-print seen on Lopez’s dress. The sneakers retail for $ 1,075.

Lopez’s dress is still celebrated as a cultural emblem of the early aughts and is credited for catapulting the singer and actress to fashion icon status. The dress was the impetus behind Google launching Google Images, with former chief executive officer, Eric Schmidt, stating that Lopez’s dress was the most popular search term that the company had ever seen.
The limited-edition sneaker is available in both men and women’s sizes and will be available on Concepts’ web site and stores in Boston and New York.

Nicolas Ghesquière Gives First Look at Sophie Turner’s Wedding Dress

While Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are some of the most social-media adept celebrities of 2019, content from the couple’s second wedding in France has been scant on Instagram — until now.
Photos from Turner and Jonas’ rehearsal dinner and other pre-second-wedding events (the couple married in Las Vegas last month in an impromptu wedding ceremony, which was streamed on Instagram by DJ Diplo) made their way to both Instagram and the paparazzi. The most-awaited shot of the wedding, however — Turner in her wedding gown — was just revealed Wednesday night by Louis Vuitton women’s creative director Nicolas Ghesquière.
Turner, who came to fame playing the role of Sansa Stark on “Game of Thrones” wore a long-sleeved, full skirted gown with a mid-length lace veil. The gown, which featured a keyhole back, had a retro-meets-futuristic aesthetic. The designer captioned the photo on Instagram “Absolut beauty.” Turner, who most recently starred in “Dark Phoenix,” is a spokesmodel for Louis Vuitton and features in some of the French fashion house’s ads.
See the photo of Turner’s wedding dress here.

Everything You Need to Know About Sophie Turner’s Wedding Dress

HERE COMES THE BRIDE: While seemingly every detail from Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s second wedding in France has leaked out on social media, one key image has been missing: that of the dress worn by the “Game of Thrones” star for the official ceremony.
Nicolas Ghesquière, artistic director of women’s collections at Louis Vuitton, on Thursday posted an image of the bride, a Louis Vuitton brand ambassador, with the caption: “Absolut beauty @sophiet.” The gown made of flower-embroidered tulle and silk gazar required more than 350 hours to assemble, the house said.

Though not known for his bridal designs, Ghesquière is well versed in red-carpet dressing, with 31 of his outfits for stars including Alicia Vikander, Michelle Williams and Emma Stone currently on display as part of the “Louis Vuitton X” exhibition in Los Angeles.
The luxury brand has a specialized workshop, the Atelier Rare & Exceptionnel, at its flagship on Place Vendôme in Paris where seamstresses create exclusive gowns for celebrities, and fit and customize ready-to-wear pieces for VIP clients.
For Turner’s dress, more than 10 embroiderers worked for a total of 1,050 hours on the 14 meters of tulle, covered with a digitally-designed pattern of more

Dress by Julie de Libran Couture Fall 2019

A new, niche intimacy is sprouting up in pockets across fashion, offering alternatives to the industry’s mega brand domination. Julie de Libran is one designer going her own way. After her departure from Sonia Rykiel, where she was creative director, de Libran didn’t opt for an “Eat, Pray, Love” sabbatical (physical or emotional). Instead, she jumped into a new project with her name on the label and her personal aesthetic on view.
To telegraph the personal approach behind Dress By Julie de Lebran, the designer showed her debut lineup of 21 looks in her home. “I thought it was nicer and easier,” she said. “Since I’m in my universe, I feel more relaxed and I like to have people over, even if I’m not a very good cook. I tend to get stressed in the kitchen.” (Her caterer filled the void, supplying a feast of veggie-based hors d’oeuvres.)
De Libran focused on dresses precisely because they feel so personal to her — she designed her first one at 14, for a school dance — and they represent “infinite creativity.” Yet this was no fantasy-come-to-life. Rather de Libran showed a range of distinctive looks for women who believe in dressing up at night,

Burberry Teams With U.K. Charity Smart Works to Dress Women in Need

GET SMART: Burberry is marking International Women’s Day by spreading the love, and the checks and the trench coats, to women in need of work wardrobes. Since 2013, the brand has been teaming with the British women’s charity Smart Works, which offers new, donated clothing and styling advice to women in need who are trying to get back into the workforce. Burberry has always donated clothing to Smart Works, but this year for the first time it invited seven women from the program into its London showrooms for a styling session and the opportunity to pick out their capsule work wardrobes.
The clients are at stage two of the Smart Works program, meaning they have secured employment and will need clothing to wear to their new jobs, ahead of their first pay checks. Half of Smart Works’ clients are from an ethnic minority, are long-term unemployed and have been unsuccessful with a large number of job applications. Smart Works said the majority of women it helps eventually secure full employment and that it aims to dress 3,500 women this year in the U.K.

Talbots and O, The Oprah Magazine Join Forces for Capsule Collection to Benefit Dress for Success Benefit

For its fourth cobranded collaboration with O, The Oprah Magazine to benefit Dress for Success, Talbots is anchored in the kicked-back “T by Talbots” line.
This year’s cobranded, limited-run collection leans on comfort to remind shoppers about the importance of self-care and to help them keep up appearances while on the go. O and Talbots recruited four active personalities to help spread the word — ABC’s “American Housewife” star Katy Mixon, former Olympian and fitness guru Angela Manuel-Davis, cohost of the Food Network’s “The Kitchen” Katie Lee and actor and musician Amber Riley.
During last month’s three-day “Girls’ Getaway” Holland America-O cruise, the 2,700 guests (of which 60 were men) had first dibs on the five-piece special collection and 30-plus styles from Talbots’ spring line in the O Shop. And Talbots hosted a “Love That!” fashion show where O’s creative director Adam Glassman shared his fashion advice with hundreds of women, styling the capsule collection with Talbots’ spring items. The magazine’s editor at large Gayle King was also on deck for the maiden voyage of Holland America’s “Nieuw Statendam,” as well as 25 “Mag Insiders.” When all was said and done, many cruise-goers headed to shore with three or four Talbots purchases,

Luca Guadagnino: Call Me By Your Dress

CALL ME BY YOUR DRESS: The spring 2019 couture season may be getting underway, but Pierpaolo Piccioli’s upcoming collection for Valentino, which he’ll show on Wednesday, isn’t the brand’s only haute news of the week. Piccioli and director Luca Guadagnino have collaborated on a short film, said to feature the designer’s couture designs, most likely the fall collection he showed in July. The project’s title couldn’t be confirmed, but the two creatives clearly view it as something more than brand imaging for Valentino; a source said Guadagnino plans to enter the work into a number of film festivals.
The director is sizzling hot after last year’s “Call Me by Your Name,” which received Oscar Best Picture and Best Actor nominations (Timothée Chalamet), and won for James Ivory’s screenplay. Yet artful film work for its own sake isn’t Guadagnino’s only interest; he understands the power of strong storytelling for both art and commerce. He codified his interest in fashion in 2012, founding the production company Frenesy Film specifically for taking on projects with major fashion brands. Guadagnino has worked with numerous names at luxury’s pinnacle, directing and or producing short films or commercials for, among others, Zegna, Ferragamo, Fendi, Sergio Rossi, Giorgio Armani,

Meghan Markle’s Givenchy Wedding Dress to Be Displayed at Windsor Castle

ROYAL FROCKS: Earlier in May, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made royal and fashion history. The Royal Collection, which houses the largest collection of noble artifacts, will launch a special exhibition titled “A Royal Wedding: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex” later this year where the couple’s wedding outfits will be on display.
The exhibition will be part of the Windsor Castle tour from Oct. 2018 to Jan. 2019. The outfits will then be displayed at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh from June to Oct. 2019.
The highlight on display will be the Givenchy Haute Couture dress Markle chose for her big day, created by British designer Clare Waight Keller. Cut with a bateau neckline, the minimalist, fuss-free design was made from an exclusive, double-bonded silk cady, developed by Waight Keller, and features a triple silk organza underskirt.
Markle’s silk tulle veil is hand-embroidered with floral embellishments that represent each of the Commonwealth countries — a reference to her and Prince Harry’s dedication to their new roles. The team of embroiderers spent over hundreds of hours crafting the veil, washing their hands every 30 minutes to keep the tulle and silk threads in pristine condition.

Meghan Markle Has Very Special Plans for Her Wedding Dress

Royal wedding fans are in for a treat as plans are being made to put Meghan Markle’s stunning Givenchy gown on display.

Insiders predict that the dress will be displayed at Windsor Castle, the venue for Meghan’s May 19 wedding to Prince Harry. Royal officials are believed to be discussing a suitable time and details around the exhibit.

Designed by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy, the stunning silk gown featured an open bateau neckline and sculpted waist. The train flowed in soft round folds cushioned by an underskirt in triple silk organza.

The process was “very collaborative,” Waight Keller said in an interview the day after the wedding, adding that Meghan was familiar with her work.

“It was a wonderful way to start the collaboration with her, finding out what she wanted for her day and just to find the absolute perfect style for her,” Waight Keller told reporters. “Part of it was really a conversation in the beginning and then through a series of sketches that I proposed to her. We exchanged conversations about what would be the ultimate lines and proportions and the scale of the dress.”

In the summer after Prince William and Kate Middleton wed in 2011, the palace made Kate’s dress — created by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen — a centrepiece of the annual opening of Buckingham Palace. More than 350,000 filed past it in the first six weeks.

An official at the Royal Collection Trust, which would create any display at the castle or Buckingham Palace, didn’t have a comment and wouldn’t be drawn on what discussions might be underway.

Kylie Jenner Flaunts Curves in Form-Fitting Chanel Mini Dress 5 Months After Giving Birth

Kylie Jenner continues to document her post-baby body transformation on social media, and her latest post already has over 4,000,000 likes. The new mom and soon-to-be billionaire shared a photo of her famous curves in a form-fitting dress on Instagram five months after welcoming daughter Stormi.

The reality star and Kylie Cosmetics mogul, 20, shared a classic mirror selfie wearing a curve-hugging strapless Chanel mini dress printed with the brand’s iconic double C logo all over.

Jenner also appears to have added a set of chest-length extensions to her hair after rocking her natural hair in a chic bob style for the past few weeks.

Although she did not caption her initial Instagram photo, Jenner shared an even closer-up view of her dress on her Instagram Story while sitting inside her car, adding in five black heart emoji alongside it.

Looking for more style content? Click here to subscribe to the PeopleStyle Newsletter for amazing shopping discounts, can’t-live-without beauty products and more.

The star’s older sister (and fellow new mom!) Khloé Kardashian complimented Jenner’s hot bod in the comments writing, “Wowwwwwwwww.”

Even though Jenner admitted her body “bounced back super fast” since welcoming her daughter in February, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star still struggled with her share of post-baby body insecurities.

“I feel like people think that I bounced back super fast, which I guess I did,” Jenner remarked in a video posted on her YouTube page, before adding that “people can get the wrong idea on Instagram sometimes.”

RELATED PHOTOS: UPDATED! Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Plus More Stars in Sizzling Swimwear

She described the most significant ways her body has changed, explaining “My boobs are defiantly three times the size, which bothers me. I have stretch marks on my boobs. My stomach isn’t the same, my waist isn’t the same, my butt’s bigger, my thighs bigger.”

“And honestly, I’m finding I have to change my style a little because nothing in my closet fits me from before,” she continued.

In March, Jenner revealed that she gained a total of 40 lbs. during pregnancy in a now-deleted tweet during a Q&A session with fans and followers. That same month, Jenner said she started up waist training again to get her body back.

The star gave fans their first glimpse at her post-baby body just one month after giving birth in a Snapchat clip wearing underwear and pulling up her black shirt to reveal how her body looked from a side angle.

Sources previously told PEOPLE that Jenner is determined to get back into pre-pregnancy shape because she wants to be a “really hot young mom.”

“Kylie is already starting to work out,” an insider said. “She’s focusing on getting her body back and also getting back to a comfortable weight aside from caring for Stormi,” adding that she “wasn’t the most comfortable while pregnant.”

Brooks Brothers, Mattout Partner on Dress Shirt Collab

Brooks Brothers will continue to celebrate its 200th anniversary during Paris Men’s Fashion Week by partnering with designer Pierre-Henri Mattout.
The retailer has tasked Mattout with creating a capsule of five limited-edition button-down shirts, a signature of the brand.
In 1896, John E. Brooks, grandson of founder Henry Sands Brooks, attended a polo match in the U.K. and noticed that the players had pinned down the collars of their shirts so they wouldn’t flap up while riding. He brought that idea back home to the States and created the button-down shirt.
”I’ve always been a big fan of Brooks Brothers’ history and for me their button-down shirts are simply the best cut and quality,” said Mattout. “I curate my store with iconic brands that are synonymous with tradition and innovation, it seemed very natural to add Brooks Brothers to the pool.”
The shirts will be available in non-iron, traditional cotton oxford as well as the ultralight Zephyr fabric from the archives of the Thomas Mason mill, which coincidentally, was also founded in 1818.
The Brooks Brothers for PHM shirts be available exclusively at Mattout’s PHM Saint Pères store in Paris, beginning June 18. They will retail for 140 to 290 euros.

Bridget Foley’s Diary: Sunday, a Day of Dress

Remember the 40-hour work week? Even if you don’t, you’ve probably heard of it. Much of the employed world has left it far behind, and much of the world’s employed now take an approach somewhere between philosophical and pragmatic — whatever it takes to get the job done; constant connectivity has won; lucky to have a job.
All of the above duly considered and acknowledged as legitimate, fashion nevertheless seems extreme in its can-do/will-do gusto. Case in point: this Sunday’s official lineup of CFDA-sanctioned presentations and shows. The Fashion Calendar lists three: Lorod, from 2 to 3 p.m.; Victor Glemaud, from 4 to 6 p.m., and Alexander Wang, at 8 p.m.
In the big picture of a world in turmoil, a random working Sunday may seem a small matter, and as a societal class, show-going fashion employees make poor victims. But given the reality of this industry — the 24/7 relentlessness of the primary show schedule; the parameters of this endless, whatever-it-is-we’re-in-now season that began in early May and will carry on at least through July couture week, encompassing clothes characterized as fall, resort/cruise and spring — was it essential for the CFDA to add a summer Sunday to the schedule? A perusal

Meghan Markle Picks Givenchy’s Clare Waight Keller for Her Wedding Dress

WINDSOR — Duty and discretion.
Meghan Markle, who became Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex earlier this morning, telegraphed some very powerful messages to the British public — and the world — about the sort of royal she wants to be.
Stepping out of a vintage Rolls-Royce in a minimal and unembellished Givenchy Haute Couture dress by the British designer Clare Waight Keller, a diamond tiara on loan from Queen Elizabeth, and a veil bearing symbols of the Commonwealth, this bride was out to prove that she’s all about simplicity, heritage, respecting tradition — and serving her public.

Not for her a glittering gown with a mile-long train and bejewelled veil. In Waight Keller she picked a talented, low-key British designer who is all about femininity, soft edges and beautiful fabrics. It was a fitting choice: After all, Markle may have married a son and brother of future monarchs, but Harry is now sixth in line to the throne – and will likely never get near it.
The couple also married at St. George’s Chapel on the Queen’s Windsor estate — not at Westminster Abbey or St. Paul’s Cathedral in London — and invited more than 2,000 members of

They may be getting married in front of the entire world, but Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are just like brides and grooms everywhere when it comes to certain traditions.

The future newlyweds are avoiding the bad luck superstition of the groom seeing the bride in her dress before the ceremony. In a press briefing on Friday, the palace confirmed that the first time Harry will see Meghan in her wedding gown will be when she walks down the aisle.

“That tradition is very important to them,” a palace spokesman said.

Harry and Meghan will also be spending the night before their wedding apart. And they will stay at Windsor Castle on the night of their wedding.

While details of her dress are being kept under wraps, the couple has revealed that Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, will be walking her down the aisle at St. George’s Chapel on May 19.

Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, will travel with her daughter by car to Windsor Castle the morning of the wedding.

“Ms. Markle is delighted to have her parents by her side on this important and happy occasion,” the palace announced.

There are several royal family traditions Meghan will also consider for her wedding. Every royal bride since 1858 has carried a sprig of myrtle — the “herb of love” — in her wedding bouquet. The royal family has also been using pure Welsh gold for their wedding rings ever since the Queen Mother’s wedding in 1923.

And while most brides honor the tradition of throwing the bouquet, Meghan’s floral posy (by Phillippa Craddock) will very likely end up in Westminster Abbey, rather than in the hands of one of her bridesmaids. Most royal brides (including Kate Middleton and Princess Diana) have sent their floral bouquets back to the Abbey to rest on the Grave of the Unknown Soldier, a place of remembrance for fallen soldiers since 1920.

Stella McCartney to Dress Justin Timberlake for Super Bowl

Whether the game goes to the Patriots or the Eagles at Sunday’s Super Bowl, Stella McCartney will have scored a major fashion wear coup — ahem, touchdown — in front of roughly 111 million viewers. Justin Timberlake is to wear a custom McCartney design for his halftime performance, as the two collaborated on a look inspired by his upcoming “Man of the Woods” album.

Stella McCartney designed a custom look for Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl halftime performance.

It consists of a faux napa fringed jacket with an organic cotton shirt featuring landscape artwork by British artist Martin Ridley, as well as a single-breasted jacket and matching trousers done in Prince of Wales check and camouflage splatter, both made from repurposed wool fabric. Dressing the halftime performer for an event that routinely draws one of the largest television audiences of the year is a huge platform for McCartney’s burgeoning men’s wear line, which launched in December 2016. The Super Bowl kick off starts at 6:30 p.m. EST on NBC.

Princess Diana’s Wedding Dress Designer Is Launching a Very ’80s New Label

One of the designers behind Princess Diana’s wedding dress has a lot to be excited about in 2018.

Elizabeth Emanuel, who, with her then-husband David Emanuel, designed Diana’s 1981 gown, is set to launch a new fashion label. And she tells PEOPLE that the upcoming line, Emanuel Mayfair, will capture the energy of the 1980s and offer a dynamic twist on current trends.

Emanuel Mayfair is set to kick off in February after Emanuel received a new round of financial backing. She’s going to move into new, larger studios and is currently hiring a young and creative team, and recently appointed a CEO.

Elizabeth, whose most recent fashion label was been called Art of Being, says the new line will have the same “spirit” as her previous collections, but with a modern touch.

“It will have the spirit of Emanuel from the days when we made dresses some of the most of the most iconic women of the time like Elizabeth Taylor, Carolina Herrera and Joan Collins, but is taking it into the present,” she tells PEOPLE. “That whole period of time was wonderful but this will capture that but will also look contemporary and edgy. I’m bringing back the spirit in a new form after all these years. We will concentrate on bridal wear and evening wear – things to get dressed up in, pieces that are handcrafted and made to order.”

Emanuel, who spoke about her unique part in the life of the princess for PEOPLE’s The Story of Diana adds: “Our new studio is beautiful and is being renovated now for us to be ready in about a month.”

‘This is exciting. It shows that you if you never give up, good things happen. It is going to be a positive year.”

She hopes the first collection will emerge in July or September.

First Lady Melania Trump Wears Hervé Pierre Dress for Eiffel Tower Dinner

ALLEZ FRANCE: First Lady Melania Trump counted on Hervé Pierre to not only select her dress for Thursday night’s presidential dinner at Le Jules Verne in the Eiffel Tower but he also designed it.
As the guests of French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte, FLOTUS and President Trump were a foursome dining at chef Alain Ducasse’s Michelin-starred restaurant. Earlier in the day the first ladies visited Notre-Dame Cathedral before taking a short boat ride on the Seine river. Their husbands, meanwhile, were in the Elysée presidential palace hashing out such weighty issues as Syria, Iraq, climate change and counter-terrorism.

Pierre, who also suited up the First Lady for the inaugural balls in January, said his initial idea was a long dress, but tonight’s less formal dress code called for a below-the-knee style. “She asked me to create a dress for this occasion. That was a big deal for me because I am French and I became an American citizen last summer.”
After exchanging different ideas, the pair decided on a sleeveless dress in navy blue and ivory with a red insert — a nod

Rebel Wilson ‘Crushed’ Court Dress Along With Her Court Case

As Rebel Wilson celebrates victory in her defamation case, we’re celebrating the brilliant look she wore for the occasion.

Wilson sued Australia’s Bauer Media Group after it published a series of articles claiming she “had lied about her age, real name and some childhood experiences,” according to Reuters.

We admire her courage to stand up for herself and her career. But that dress though!

Wilson’s sharp black and white shirtdress, worn with patent leather flats, is a pitch perfect lesson in courtroom attire. She looked both professional and oh-so-chic.

The actress also shared a photo on Instagram thanking her family, friends and supporters. “Just crushed my defamation case in Australia,” she wrote.

She certainly “crushed it” when it came to the outfit, too.

Don’t Even Think About Sharing That Photo Of Jessica Chastain’s Wedding Dress

On Saturday, Jessica Chastain tied the knot with fashion executive (and down-low member of Italian royalty) Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo in a private ceremony at the groom’s family estate in northern Italy. The bride wore white; attendees included fellow actors Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Edgar Ramirez.

That’s about all the Oscar nominee wanted the public to know. But during the wedding, paparazzi photos were taken from helicopters without the actress’ consent, making the internet rounds and turning an intimate moment into gossip fodder.

In response to this invasion of privacy, the “Zero Dark Thirty” star confirmed her marriage and slammed the paparazzi in a note shared on social media Tuesday night that included a special request to her followers.

“Did you hear? I’m off the market,” Chastain wrote, alongside a longer statement. “Gianluca & I got married! We wanted privacy & aren’t selling photos but I’ll post something in the future.”

She continued:

Thank you for all the sweet comments about my wedding. I love you and it was a beautiful day. I am going to ask you to please stop sharing the photos. Helicopters disregarded a no-fly zone & took those pics during the ceremony. Every time I see them I’m reminded of the insensitivity of that moment. I promise that I will share pics with you in the future, but I would prefer to share photos that celebrate love, not intrusion. I’m off social media for a few weeks. Much love and happiness to all of you.

Chastain’s stance makes sense given that she’s remained incredibly private about her relationship with Passi de Preposulo up until this point. The two have dated for nearly five years, but the actress has only given snippets of information to media outlets here and there.

Aside from revealing that she’s “very, very happy” with Passi de Preposulo, she told Extra in 2013 that it’s “a wonderful thing when a career does so well and your personal life goes so well.”

So, to make a long story short, stop, drop and scrap that wedding photo collage you already made until official photos are released. If watching half of “Miss Sloane” before falling asleep on a transatlantic flight taught us anything, it is that you do not, under any circumstances, mess with Jessica Chastain.

Katy Perry Wore Photos Of Manchester Bombing Victims On Her Dress

Katy Perry honored victims of the Manchester terror attack in song and on her sleeve.

She gave them a special salute Sunday while performing at One Love Manchester, the benefit concert organized after the May 22 suicide bombing that killed 22 people and injured at least 59 after an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena.

The “Chained to the Rhythm” singer sang a few of her most iconic songs while wearing a white mini-dress over a turtleneck printed with photos of the victims.

Days before the event, which also featured Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and Oasis’ Liam Gallagher, among others, Perry wrote she was “humbled to be a part” of the event. It ultimately raised over $ 3 million for the British Red Cross.

She also delivered a heartfelt message to the roughly 50,000 attendees, thanked Grande for her strength and encouraged everyone to operate from a place of love, even when that feels impossible.

“It’s not easy to always choose love, is it?” she said to a crowd of screaming fans. “Especially in moments like these, right? It can be the most difficult thing to do. But love conquers fear and love conquers hate. And this love that you choose will give you strength, and it’s our greatest power.”

Our greatest power, indeed.

Paper Crown, Randa Selling Men’s Ties in Women’s Dress Area

It’s no secret that the men’s neckwear business has been struggling in recent years. But Randa, the category’s largest manufacturer, is not about to roll over and play dead.
Instead, it has teamed with Paper Crown, a popular women’s collection founded by Lauren Conrad and Maura McManus, to create a line of neckwear and accessories to complement the collection’s flirty, feminine styles.
The line has launched exclusively at Lord & Taylor and in an unconventional twist, is being sold in the women’s dress department rather than in the men’s department. The men’s ties, pocket squares and jewelry are being targeted to brides to pick up for the groomsmen in their weddings.
Paper Crown, which launched in 2011, is known for its romantic dresses, feminine blouses and tailored basics, and also offers a popular collection of bridesmaids dresses.
“We know from our research that more neckwear purchases are driven by occasions,” said Heath Golden, president of Randa’s neckwear and jewelry division. “And that the woman makes a lot of the buying decisions.”
Richard Carroll, Randa’s senior vice president of marketing and creative director, added: “Doing things differently is how we’re going to survive.”
Carroll said Paper Crown has developed a loyal following with its “best in class” wedding

Real Brides Reveal: How I Would Do Over My Wedding Dress

For BRIDES, by Whitney C. Harris.

Your wedding dress is probably the most memorable piece of clothing you’ll ever put on (as an adult anyway). You wear it on one of the most important days of your life, and it’s a significant investment both emotionally and financially. So you want to make sure you get it right. Many brides often look back on their wedding dress and wish they could have a redo — whether it be a small element like an accessory or rethinking the whole thing. What else do women walking down the aisle wish they had known before picking out their dress? Here are 14 former brides who reveal what they might do differently.

“I would have gone simpler, lighter, and more classically elegant and choose an option in that category that is price-friendly. If I redid my gown, I would try on a couple of simple silk or satin A-lines and see how I feel versus going straight to the bigger and frillier dresses. The last thing I would want is not to be able to dance the night away.” —Natalie N.E., Philadelphia

“Looking back, I would have loved a dress that didn’t require so many alterations. I went a bit over my original budget and didn’t realize that I’d have to spend nearly $ 500 to add French bustles as well. I was able to cut costs by ordering a veil online and sticking to ballet flats, but that only helped so much.” —Meghan E., Richmond, Virginia

“If I could do it all over again, I would have gone with a 1960s bohemian/beatnik style, which was just ahead of trend when I was getting married six years ago and not easily found. Something with long sleeves and an open back for my early spring celebration would have been supercool but practical at the same time.” —Maggie N., Sleepy Hollow, New York

“I probably would’ve allowed for a smidge more breathing room or a bit more stretch, as my dress was very snug. I did want a form-fitting silhouette, but it would’ve been nice to not have to suck in all night!” —April H., Honolulu

“I wanted a classic style that wouldn’t look too dated in pictures and chose a strapless piece in ivory satin with a boned corset and slight detailing and gathering at the hip. I had purchased a dress to change into for the evening function, however I never used it as I wanted to keep my wedding dress on and keep the fairy tale going! In hindsight, I wish I had chosen something a bit more ornate and detailed had I known I was going to wear it all day and night. Something with delicate lace on the arms/shoulders or maybe a matching lace over shrug that I could have removed for the evening to make the dress appear different would have been nice. I would also go for a sleeker style that didn’t restrict my movement so much, as the train and skirt on my original dress was quite heavy and it was difficult to dance in!” —Charlotte F., Manchester, England

“I would love to have a wedding dress with cold shoulders and ruffles, two trends that have taken the fashion world by storm over the past year! If I had done it when I had gotten married two years ago, it might have looked less traditional and even tacky, but today, I can see how it would have made the gown so much more chic!” —Pratibha V., New York City

“I would have made sure I tied the corset tighter. As I bent over to fill the unity sand bottle (we had a beach wedding), the audience got a great view of my ‘chicken cutlets’! Oh, to have larger boobs… “ —Jenn W., New York City

“I strongly recommend brides choose something classic that will still be in style for many years to come and avoid trends. I got married in 1988, which was just a horrible year for fashion. My dress was plantation style—I wish I had chosen something more formfitting so years later I could look at pictures and see what a great body I had. But the worst thing was the veil. I chose a veil that was designed as a giant bow. So in all my pictures, which really are lovely, I have this giant bow on my head. Everyone who looks at my pictures just laughs, and for this reason I took down wedding pictures that were hanging in my house. It was a trend then, but I so regret it now.” —Paige E., Woodland Hills, California

“I still think about the dress that I tried on two years ago and let get away. The dress fit like a glove and had enough embellishment that a simple veil would’ve paired perfectly. At the time, it seemed above my budget but honestly might’ve been worth all the time I spent second-guessing my decision. Also, by the time I finished altering my ‘cheaper’ dress and buying its ornate veil, the price wasn’t that much less than the other. For the record, I loved my ‘second’ dress and so did my husband, but it didn’t compare to the Romona Keveza. My advice to brides: If you see something you absolutely love and can’t stop thinking about—and aren’t above pinching pennies if you have to—go for it. For most of us, it’s the one time to wear an amazing gown and feel like a princess.” —Lauren W., Memphis
