EXCLUSIVE: Fenty to Open PFW Pop-Up at Galeries Lafayette Champs-Elysées

TRUE BLUE: Fenty is landing on the Avenue des Champs-Elysées for Paris Fashion Week. The luxury house launched by Rihanna with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton will take over Galeries Lafayette Champs-Elysées from Sept. 23 to Oct. 12, bathing its tunnel-like entrance in its signature blue color. It will mark the brand’s third pop-up worldwide, following a temporary space in the Marais district of Paris for the label’s launch in May and a pop-up in June at The Webster in New York City — and the first time the label has partnered with a department store. Whether Rihanna will personally inaugurate the space remains to be seen. Fresh off the positive reactions to her Savage x Fenty lingerie show, described as a highlight of New York Fashion Week, the pop star would be certain to trigger a mob scene with a personal appearance at the venue. A look from Fenty’s fourth release, dropping on Sept. 19.  Courtesy Guillaume Houzé, director of image and communication of Groupe Galeries Lafayette, said: “It is a great pleasure to welcome Fenty at our Galeries Lafayette Champs-Elysées flagship for its second Parisian drop, and only a few months after its launch. “Fenty provides women with a new definition of luxury and a

Fenty to Open Pop-up at The Webster in SoHo

The Webster said Monday it has partnered with Fenty, the new luxury house launched by Rihanna with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton last month, for its first pop-up experience in the U.S.
Fenty will take over the first two floors of The Webster at 29 Greene Street in SoHo with a distinct installation and retail experience designed for the luxury multibrand retailer. The pop-up opens June 19 and runs through June 30.
“I am so proud and honored that Rihanna and her team chose to launch the new Fenty release with The Webster SoHo. She has an incredible personality and style and is the true epitome of a powerful woman,” said Laure Heriard-Dubreuil, founder and creative director of The Webster.
First established in Miami’s South Beach district by Heriard-Dubreuil in an historical Art Deco building designed in 1939 by Henry Hohauser, The Webster now operates flagship stores in New York, Houston, Costa Mesa, Calif., South Beach and Bal Harbour, Fla.
WWD broke the news on Jan. 17 that the pop star was working with LVMH on the high-profile fashion project, an extension of their wildly successful Fenty Beauty line. The singer and the French luxury conglomerate confirmed the project May 10, saying the new

Rihanna Brings Fenty Back to New York Fashion Week

Au revoir, Proenza. Adieu, Rodarte. Ta-ta, Thom Browne. While several high-profile American brands have decided to abandon New York Fashion Week for Paris, at least one major international name is doing the opposite and bringing her show back to town: Rihanna.
After two seasons showing her Fenty Puma by Rihanna collection in Paris, WWD has learned that Rihanna is heading back to New York Fashion Week, where she launched the line with her first show for fall 2016.
Rihanna was unavailable for comment but Puma issued this statement: “After two successful seasons showing during Paris Fashion Week, Rihanna has decided to return to New York and show her Fenty Puma by Rihanna spring 2018 collection during NYFW, making this the first time she will present during September NYFW.”
Details of the date and location of the show have yet to be confirmed, but if the past is any indication, it will be one of the late shows with an elaborate set. Rihanna presented her first Fenty Puma collection at 23 Wall Street, followed by spring 2017 at Paris’ Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild, and most recently at Bibliothèque Nationale de France for fall. Reportedly working with a different designer every season, including Adam Selman
