Golden Goose Deluxe Brand RTW Fall 2018

Golden Goose Deluxe Brand’s creative team imagined a girl going on holiday in her family’s house in the mountains. There, finding the wardrobe of her grandparents, she plays with vintage pieces, which she mixes and matches with her personal style.
In keeping with the theme, the wearable collection was infused with a sense of warm coziness. A cocooning faux fur oversized robe coat with a maxi hood was worn with corduroy pants and a roomy precious shearling jacket was matched with ski-inspired leggings in a botanical pattern.
Tweed was combined with shearling on a blouson worn with coordinated pants and a mannish sartorial suit was decorated with detachable faux fur pockets, which can be transformed into plush gloves.
Vintage mountain graphics jazzed up a double-breasted coat worked in a lively bubblegum pink, as well as a cotton T-shirt paired with a skirt embellished with a plissé silk insert.
Golden Goose also offered a luxurious take on denim, which was used for soft straight leg five pocket pants and for a cool bleached puffer jacket inspired by retro ski gear.

All About Angelina Jolie’s Connection to Cambodia That Led to Her Golden Globe Nominated Film

Angelina Jolie has a strong connection to Cambodia, the country that inspired her to make her Golden Globe nominated movie, First They Killed My Father.

Based on Cambodia human rights activist Luong Ung’s memoirFirst They Killed My Father documents her experience as a young girl under the brutal rule of the Khmer Rouge.

The actress’ history with the country began in 2000 when she filmed the hit Tomb Raider on location and later returned two years later to adopt her first child, Maddox. 17 years later, Jolie, 41, has introduced the rest of her brood to the South Asian country nestled between Vietnam and Thailand through her Netflix passion project, which is up for the best foreign language film award at Sunday’s Golden Globe.

RELATED: Angelina Jolie Brings All Six Children to “First They Killed My Father” Premiere at Toronto International Film Festival

“We’ve been coming back and forth for 17 years, it feels like a second home to me,” Jolie told reporters at a press conference the day before the film’s Cambodia premiere where she stepped out with the whole family. “The children have close ties to the children here, many of them are their best friends. Maddox is happy to be back in his country.”

Jolie fell in love with Cambodia while filming her role as Lara Croft role in Tomb Raider. She found the poverty-stricken country still recovering from the genocide inflicted by the Khmer Rouge regime, which led to the deaths of nearly a quarter of the population from 1975 to 1979. The group was active until 1999, and the war tribunals started in 2009 are ongoing.

Despite the terror endured by average Cambodians, Jolie recently told Vanity Fair of her first visit, “I found a people who were so kind and warm and open, and, yes, very complex. You drive around here you can see a lot of people with many things, but not often expressing happiness. You go there, and you see the families come out with their blanket and their picnic to watch a sunset.”

The Netflix movie, directed by Jolie, was shot on location with Maddox, 15, and Pax, 13, working on the production and their siblings — Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8 — joining the family during filming.

It was an especially personal shoot for Maddox as he helped research the devastation inflicted on Cambodia by the Khmer Rouge communist party in the 1970s that killed nearly 2 million people in a population of 7 million. “He was the one who just called it and said he was ready and that he wanted to work on it, which he did,” Jolie recently told The Guardian of Maddox’s role in the film. “He read the script, helped with notes, and was in the production meetings.”

Shortly before its release the actress expressed hope that by shedding light on the genocide in Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge communist party’s regime, the Cambodian people will take pride in what they survived instead of feeling hatred or resentment for what the country endured in the late 1970s.

“I hope this doesn’t bring up hatred. I hope this doesn’t bring up blame,” Jolie told the BBC in a behind-the-scenes special produced by the British TV network about the genocide and the making of her film that aired on Sunday. “I hope the people of this country are proud when they see it, because they see what they’ve survived.”

The 2018 Golden Globes are set to air Sunday, January 7, on NBC at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PST. First They Killed My Father is available to watch on Netflix.

Golden Goose Deluxe Brand Pre-Fall 2018

Founded in 2000, Italy’s Golden Goose Deluxe Brand has more recently been growing within the U.S. For pre-fall 2018, the brand designed a ready-to-wear and shoe collection around a fictitious woman who fantasized about stories of her grandfather, should she have ever met him. Notes from the designers claimed the collection, “is an ode to real imagination and imagined realities.” Vintage references ran throughout; there was Forties-inspired suiting, like a lilac set or striped trouser, along with multiple trenchcoats with full gun flap and box pleats. Men’s wear references and the reemergence of the brand’s original cowboy boots were also strong throughout. A mismatch of graphics — celestial, collegiate, tropical scenes, logos and floral prints — could have been pared down to make the whole idea more concise.

Colbert’s Response To Trump Revoking Trans Bathroom Rights Is ‘Golden’

The Trump administration issued an order this week that would repeal an Obama administration policy allowing transgender students to use the bathroom that corresponds to their sexual identities.

It’s a decision that could cause irreparable harm to trans students, so regardless of where he’s supposed to go to the bathroom, Stephen Colbert took a dump on President Donald Trump.

“We should’ve seen this coming because if there’s one thing Trump is famous for, it’s telling people where to pee,” said Colbert, referring to the unsubstantiated (but hilarious) claim that Trump had prostitutes perform a “golden shower” in front of him.

Colbert continued ripping on the Trump administration, pointing out that the president was previously in favor of trans bathroom rights. When asked on the campaign trail if Caitlyn Jenner could use whatever bathroom she wanted at Trump Tower, the president said, “That is correct.”

“Which is good,” added Colbert, “Because I’m guessing right now a lot of trans people would love to take a dump in Trump’s lobby.”

Alec Baldwin’s Trump Takes On Obamacare And Golden Showers On ‘SNL’

Alec Baldwin stepped into Donald Trump’s shoes again for “Saturday Night Live” to present his own version of the president-elect’s recent press conference and talk about inauguration entertainment, golden showers and his sons, “Beavis” and “Butthead.”

Baldwin as Trump begins in the cold open with a serious warning: “Let me answer the question that’s on everyone’s mind: Yes this is real life, this is really happening. On January 20th, I, Donald J. Trump will become the 45th president of the United States. Then two months later Mike Pence will become the 46th.”

He says he’s excited to move into the White House, and will even have a “little” pet: Paul Ryan.

“Who is excited for my Inauguration Day?” he asks. “We have got some of the biggest performers in the world lined up. Hold on to your tits and bits, because we have got Three Doors Down, Jackie What’s-her-face from “America’s Got Talent” and the one Rockette with the least money in her savings.” He also touts “huge A-List actors coming, like Angelina Jolie, Ryan Gosling and Jennifer Lawrence … courtesy of Madame Tussauds” waxworks.

He then takes questions from “reporters,” but refuses to answer any “pee pee party” questions, referring to an unsubstantiated report of a “golden shower” sex fete in Russia, saying: “It didn’t happen and It wasn’t as cool as it sounds.” But he can’t quite steer away from golden shower images as he talks about his plan to bring a “thick stream of jobs” to the country. “This country will literally be showered with jobs. Because I’m a major wiz at jobs,” he gushes.

When a reporter tells him people “could die” if he eliminates Obamacare without a replacement, leaving 20 million people without health insurance, Baldwin’s Trump answers: “Listen, sweetheart, I’m about to be president. We’re all going to die.”

He also announces that he has “turned over all my business to my two sons, Beavis and Butthead.” Gesturing to SNL cast members Mikey Day and Alex Moffat, playing Donald Jr. and Eric, Baldwin adds: “Look at those two little American psychos.” He refuses to take a question from a reporter from the “failing pile of garbage” BuzzFeed or from “over-rated fake news” CNN, though insists repeatedly: “I respect the press.”

The last question comes from shirtless Vladimir Putin look-alike Beck Bennett (claiming to be Wolf Blitzer) who asks Trump if he’s “very very sure” Russia hacked the American presidential election, while he holds up a small video labeled “pee pee tape.”

“It was China,” Baldwin responds. “No, it was Canada. OK, It was Meryl Streep.” He wraps it up with the sendoff: “Thanks for peeing here.”

Before the Trump skewering, “SNL” re-aired a 1978 episode featuring Carrie Fisher not long after she rocked the first “Star Wars” movie as Princess Leia. She opened the show dressed as Leia. Musical guests were the Blues Brothers: Dan Aykroyd and the late great John Belushi.

Saturday night’s episode was hosted by “Rogue One” actress Felicity Jones, who was joined in the opening monologue by an ersatz “hologram” of Tina Fey as Princess Leia. Fey warned Jones: “No matter how the show goes, the president of the United States will say that it’s sad and overrated,” adding: “It’s fine, no one cares.”

Stephen Colbert Addresses ‘Golden Shower’ Claims Like A Whiz

When it comes to ranting about “golden showers,” Stephen Colbert doesn’t piss around.

The “Late Show” host started his Wednesday show by commenting on the recent dump of unverified claims about President-elect Donald Trump onto the internet. (Actually, it’s more of a “leak” than a “dump.”) The story everyone’s talking about is that Trump supposedly hired prostitutes to perform a “golden shower show” (urinating on one another for sexual gratification) in front of him in a Moscow hotel room where the Obamas once stayed.

Uh, what?

Colbert said the claims were unverified and he wouldn’t validate the report by talking about it, not even the “number one” detail.

Then, of course, he talked about it.

Colbert continued, “I think this is just an unfortunate ‘leak’ that’s making a ‘huge mess,’ and I know I’m being a ‘wet blanket,’ but reporting on this is the worst kind of ‘yellow journalism.’ Even though jokes about this story are a ‘golden opportunity,’ I just, I won’t do it, not to say the story didn’t make a ‘huge splash.’ It did. It ‘flooded’ Twitter. We’ll keep you up to date as facts ‘trickle’ in. We have our best researcher working on it. She’s a real ‘whiz,’ and one thing is for sure. The president-elect is a Goldwater Republican who truly believes in ‘trickle down.’ He has the respect of our emergency service workers who gave his plane a ‘water salute.’ Trump has even denied allegations like this before in the strongest of terms.”

”So no, I’m not gonna make any jokes, not even a ‘wee’ one. So I’m cutting it off now. I am finished. Wait, a little more is coming out. It happens sometimes,” said Colbert.

Wow. Now you might say, “Hmm … for not making jokes, that sure sounded like a lot of jokes.”

Colbert explained, “After 8 years of listening to Trump make unsubstantiated claims about Obama’s birth certificate, I don’t think it matters if this is true or not because the fact is it’s out there, and that means, Mr. Trump, you’re in trouble.”

Sounds like Donald Trump could be in hot water … a glorious, glorious stream of hot water.

“The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS.

Eva Mendes Shows Ryan Gosling Some Love After Sweet Golden Globes Speech

Eva Mendes might have skipped the 2017 Golden Globes, but her presence was certainly felt during Ryan Gosling’s touching acceptance speech.

The “La La Land” actor, who picked up his first Golden Globe on Sunday, declared his love for his “lady” at the awards ceremony. Now, Mendes, who typically shies away from publicly discussing her relationship with Gosling, has addressed the buzzy Globes moment in a short and sweet Instagram post.

On Monday, the actress shared a photo of Janelle Monae’s out-of-this-world look on the red carpet, subtly saving her appreciation for Gosling in the caption.

“Obviously this wasn’t my favorite moment of the night,” she began.

“But it was definitely my favorite style moment of the night. The stunning and talented [Monae] is killing me with this look,” Mendes continued.

Gosling spent his acceptance speech singing Mendes’ praises and thanking her for taking care of their two children, Amada and Esmeralda, while he filmed “La La Land” with co-star Emma Stone, who also picked up a Golden Globe that night. He ended his speech by dedicating the award to Mendes’ older brother, Juan Carlos, who died of cancer in April.

“While I was singing and dancing and playing piano and having one of the best experiences I’ve ever had on a film, my lady was raising our daughter, pregnant with our second and trying to help her brother fight his battle with cancer,” Gosling said at the event.

“If she hadn’t taken all of that on so I could have this experience, it would surely be someone else up here other than me today, so, sweetheart, thank you,” he continued. “To my daughters, Amada and Esmeralda, I love you. If I may, I’d like to dedicate this to the memory of her brother, Juan Carlos Mendes.”

The duo, who rarely attend Hollywood events as a couple, have been together for six years, after sparks flew on the set of 2012’s “The Place Beyond the Pines.”

Whether Mendes will choose to accompany Gosling to the Academy Awards in February ― where he will likely be nominated for his performance in “La La Land” ― remains unknown. But after the Globes, we can’t wait to see more of these two.

How Is Viola Davis Celebrating Her Golden Globe Win? ‘I’m Going to Eat Some Meat’

Viola Davis is ready for grub!

On Sunday night, the actress took home her very first Golden Globe for her role in Fences. And the five-time nominee planned to celebrate her win with plenty of food.

“I’m going to eat!” she told reporters at the 18th annual InStyle and Warner Bros. Pictures Golden Globe After-Party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. “I’m going to eat some meat.”

Joined by her husband Julius Tennon, Davis, 51, said the win “feels perfect.”

“It feels as it should be,” she said. “The perfect project, honoring August Wilson’s legacy, Denzel , and the right age to appreciate it.”

She also talked about her supportive family and friends, particularly Tennon and their 6-year-old daughter Genesis.

“It’s having my husband, and people who love me, and people who have my back, and people who celebrate me, behind me,” she said of the best part of the night.

As for her daughter watching the win from home?

“I’m sure she’s screaming,” she said.

Davis beat out Naomie Harris (Moonlight), Nicole Kidman (Lion), Octavia Spencer (Hidden Figures) and Michelle Williams (Manchester by the Sea).

During her acceptance speech, the actress said, “This is my fifth nomination. I took all the pictures, went to the luncheon. But it’s right on time.”

After receiving some laughs, she delivered a heartfelt message to her costar, Washington.

“You know I’m a friend and a fan. Thank you for being an extraordinary leader, great actor, great director,” Davis said. “Thank you for saying ‘trust me’ and ‘remember the love.’ ”

In addition to her win, Davis provided a tribute to her former costar, friend and idol Meryl Streep, who took home the Cecil B. DeMille Award.

“That’s the first thing you notice about her: She tilts her head back with that sly suspicious smile,” she said of Streep. “And you think, ‘Do I have something in my teeth? Or does she want to kick my ass?’ Which is not going to happen.”

TV Ratings: Golden Globe Viewership Up Slightly in Overnight Numbers

Viewership of NBC’s Golden Globe Awards telecast appears to have inched up from the 2016 edition, according to early numbers from Nielsen. In the 56 overnight metered markets, which cover about 70% of U.S. TV households, the 8-11 p.m. ET live telecast delivered a 13.3 household rating/21 share, per NBC. Meryl Streep Cautions at the Golden Globes: Disrespect Incites Disrespect

This is a sign of things to come in the next four years: Meryl Streep outspoken about the performance of the year, the one that stunned her, and it wasn’t even in a fiction film. It was a real life public figure–unnamed–who mocked a disabled reporter. “Disrespect incites disrespect.” We need the press to hold power to account and out every outrage. I am paraphrasing from Streep’s powerful message from the podium of the Golden Globes, as she received the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement . Streep singled out only one outrage among so many she could have chosen from this public figure, the one who will now become the leader of the free world. Feel The Big Chill.

This was one of the most memorable moments at the Golden Globes. The winning movies may reverberate for the Academy Awards as voters’ nomination ballots are due at the end of the week. The Globes opened replicating Damien Chazelle’s La La production number, with some of our favorites–Nicole Kidman, Amy Adams– stuck in L. A. traffic. Other great Globe moments: Viola Davis’ introducing Meryl Streep, Dev Patel juxtaposed with Sunny Pawar, Paul Verhoeven’s declaring his love for Isabelle Huppert three times, and Brie Larson’s sparkly red strapless Rodarte. Oh yes, and Meryl Streep remembering our dear Princess Leia: Take your broken heart and make it into art.

And Now, The Buzziest Golden Globes Moments In GIFs

The 2017 Golden Globe Awards (”the one where they drink”) aired Sunday night, declaring winners of “Moonlight,” “La La Land,” “The Crown,” and others.

With a number of highs and lows, the evening witnessed a kiss between Ryan Reynolds and Andrew Garfield and Sarah Paulson and Amanda Peet along with an awkward mix-up between the titles of two films (”Hidden Fences”). And President-elect Donald Trump proved he’ll be as inescapable in 2017 as the year before.

Below you’ll find a rundown of the night’s most GIFable moments.

The Globes kicked off with a “La La Land” spoof …

That included a cameo by Barb from “Stranger Things” …

And Jon Snow.

But then the teleprompter started acting up, allowing us to experience Jimmy Fallon’s bizarre Chris Rock impression.

Donald Glover and Tracee Ellis Ross used their acceptance speeches to give heartfelt shout-outs to people of color …

And all the “colorful people” …

While Questlove debuted a different look.

Goldie Hawn and Amy Schumer showed off their “mother-daughter” chemistry ahead of their upcoming comedy …

And a real-life mother-daughter duo was honored with a sweet video tribute.

Kristen Wiig and Steve Carell made for an unsurprisingly funny pair of presenters.

But Tom Hiddleston reminded us that not all acceptance speeches are graceful.

(They do, however, give us some nice reaction GIFs.)

Ryan Gosling’s tribute to Eva Mendes, his partner and the mother of his daughters, was pretty nice.

Viola Davis introduced honoree Meryl Streep with a story about apple pie and inspiration …

… Before Streep started in on a powerful political speech slamming Donald Trump’s hateful rhetoric.

Meanwhile, “La La Land” was poised to sweep the awards categories in a record-breaking landslide.

Oh, and this happened.

Kendall And Kylie Jenner Eating Pizza At A Golden Globes After-Party Is The Best

Kendall and Kylie Jenner looked like they had a fantastic time at the Golden Globes after-party Sunday night, thanks mainly to pizza.

The reality star sisters were photographed munching on the cheesy snack on a couch in the corner, seemingly loving life, at the bash thrown by Universal, NBC, Focus Features and E! Entertainment at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

The two went as each other’s date to the event, and wore matching topknots, too.

Golden Globes’ Surprises & Snubs: Finding Dory Gets Lost, Tom Hanks Isn’t Flying High

The 2017 Golden Globe nominations are here, and although a few big names earned awards buzz leading up to the noms, they won’t have a shot at the prestigious award.

A few lesser known films, television shows and actors, however, pulled some out-of-left-field nods (congrats to Sing Street and Aaron Taylor-Johnson!).

Here’s who will have – and who should have had – a chance at a Golden Globe award on Jan. 8.

Films

Snub: Denzel Washington

Although the Oscar winner was recognized for his acting in Fences, his directing work for the 1950s-set drama failed to secure him a nomination or a best motion picture drama honor. While Damien Chazelle (La La Land) and Mel Gibson (Hacksaw Ridge) earned their predicted nods, Tom Ford’s work for Nocturnal Animals may be the surprise that knocked Washington out of the running.

Surprise: Deadpool

The superhero comedy starring Ryan Reynolds got lots of love from the Golden Globes, earning major nods in best motion picture – musical or comedy, and best performance by an actor in a motion picture – musical or comedy. The film took home the award for Best Comedy Sunday night at the Critics’ Choice Awards, but don’t expect Wade Wilson to walk away with an Oscar nod — the Globes honor more films by splitting drama and comedy/musical into separate categories.

Snub: Finding Dory

The Pixar sequel fans waited 13 years for just couldn’t find its way into the Golden Globe nominations. The forgetful yet lovable fish voiced by Ellen DeGeneres scored with reviewers and at the box office (it’s earned over $ 1 billion worldwide), but was edged out in a year full of strong contenders in the best animated feature film category, including Disney’s Moana as well as the lesser known French import My Life as a Zucchini.

Surprise: Sing Street

No one saw this Irish import sitting next to Deadpool and La La Land in the best motion picture – musical or comedy category. The Sundance darling written, co-produced and directed by John Carney (Once) features original music combined with popular songs that complement the movie’s 1980s setting. For Sing Street, the nomination is likely the prize.

Snub: Tom Hanks

The veteran actor already has eight Golden Globe nominations — with half as many wins — under his belt, but he won’t add another for Sully, in which he played pilot Chesley Burnett “Sully” Sullenberger during the 2009 “miracle on the Hudson.”

Snub: Silence

Martin Scorsese‘s 30-years-in-the-making passion project was completely shut out of the nominations despite predictions for best motion picture – drama and best director. Star Andrew Garfield scored a nomination, but it was for his role in Mel Gibson’s directorial return, Hacksaw Ridge.

Snub: The Birth of a Nation

Nothing. The period drama that ignited Hollywood with fiery hype before being engulfed in controversy (there was outrage directed at filmmaker Nate Parker over his involvement in a college rape trial) was completely dismissed from the nominations. The film fizzled at the box office as well, earning just $ 7.1 million in its opening weekend.

Television

Leading the pack this year was no surprise, The People v. O.J.: American Crime Story with five nominations, followed by Westworld and The Crown both with three.

It was impossible to ignore the boom of Netflix considering its two breakout shows, Stranger Things and The Crown, both of which received a nomination in best television series – drama. The Crown’s Claire Foy also landed a nom for best performance by an actress in a TV series – drama, as well as Winona Ryder for Stranger Things. However, Netflix’s darling Orange is the New Black was completely absent for the first time since its debut.

The 2017 Golden Globes will be held on Jan. 8, with Jimmy Fallon hosting the show.
