Mischa Barton Opens Up About ‘Emotionally Abusive’ Partner Who Leaked Her Sex Tape

Mischa Barton said she has been the target of “emotional abuse” from her ex who shopped around a sex tape of her.

During a recent interview on The Dr. Phil Show, set to air Mondaythe 31-year-old actress says her former lover was aiming to ruin her through what she called “complete emotional blackmail.”

“It was a crime. It is a serious crime to tape people without their knowledge like that and I had made the mistake of putting myself in the situation with the person so I just removed myself as quickly as I could, and then it just continued to be complete emotional abuse after that for the last several, several months,” she explained.

Barton also recalled the alarming way she learned of the sex tape’s existence.

“Somebody came up to me on the street… and said there’s something I need to tell you and I didn’t believe it at first, I couldn’t believe it,” The O.C. alum recalled. “Because I had loved this person and I didn’t think it was possible.”

She added, “And I later learned it was entirely possible.”

FROM COINAGE: The True Cost of Famous TV Apartments

Barton retained attorney Lisa Bloom, who issued a statement on behalf of the actress announcing that they plan on prosecuting the alleged “revenge pornography” peddler under “every available civil and criminal law.”

“I just want to say that I’ve been put through an incredibly hard and trying time,” Barton said in a press conference earlier this month. “This is a painful situation, and my absolute worst fear was realized when I learned that someone I thought I loved and trusted was filming my most intimate and private moments, without my consent, with hidden cameras. Then I learned something even worse: that someone is trying to sell these videos and make them public. I came forward to fight this not only for myself but for all the women out there.”

The reports come less than two months after Barton willingly went to the hospital the morning after celebrating her birthday in January, later telling PEOPLE that someone allegedly drugged her with GHB while she was out drinking with friends the night of the celebration.

Two weeks later, Barton was involved in an accident in which she crashed a U-Haul truck into an apartment building while moving out of her apartment.

A source told PEOPLE at the time that Barton was trying to put her troubled past behind her.

“She’s fragile but she doesn’t show it. It can’t be easy for her,” said an insider. “She just wants to get her career going again, change people’s perception of her and move on.”

Josh Gad Responds To ‘Disturbing’ Leaked Video From ‘A Dog’s Purpose’ Set

On Wednesday, video footage from the set of “A Dog’s Purpose” was leaked online, leading many to call the film’s treatment of animals into question.

Among those who spoke out about the video was actor Josh Gad, who voices the dogs in the film. In a post on Facebook, Gad said he was “shaken” after watching the video.

“As the proud owner of a rescue dog and a fervent supporter of organizations like PETA, I have reached out to the production team and studio to ask for an explanation for these disturbing images,” he wrote.

In the clip, which was obtained by TMZ, a crew member or dog trainer is seen forcing a German shepherd into rushing water. The dog appears visibly distressed as it attempts to claw its way out of the situation. The dog continues to resist the trainer but eventually gets in the water. It then ends up submerged for so long the handlers rush over to the dog in the stream, telling the crew to “Cut it!”

The film’s director, Lasse Hallström, also spoke out about the footage.

“I am very disturbed by the video released today from the set of my film ‘A Dog’s Purpose.’ I did not witness these actions, which are unacceptable and would never happen with my knowledge,” he said in a statement. “We were all committed to providing a loving, respectful and safe environment for all the animals in the film. I have been promised that a thorough investigation into this situation is underway and that any wrongdoing will be reported and punished.”

According to Deadline, the dog and handler seen in the video were hired by Amblin Entertainment (the production company behind the film) from Birds & Animals Unlimited. The Huffington Post has reached out to BAU for comment and will update this post accordingly.

BAU’s practices have been called into question before by PETA. The animal rights organization has also called for a boycott of “A Dog’s Purpose” after seeing the footage.

PETA is calling on dog lovers to boycott the film in order to send the message that dogs and other animals should be treated humanely, not as movie props,” they said in a statement obtained by People.

After the video surfaced, a representative for Amblin told TMZ the dog, named Hercules, was not forced to complete the stunt in the scene and that he had “several days of rehearsal of the water scenes to ensure [he] was comfortable with all of the stunts.”

The production company added, “On the day of the shoot, Hercules did not want to perform the stunt portrayed on the tape so the Amblin production team did not proceed with filming that shot.”

You can read Amblin’s full statement below:

A DOG’S PURPOSE, produced by Amblin Entertainment and distributed by Universal Pictures, is a celebration of the special connection between humans and their dogs. And in the spirit of this relationship, the Amblin production team followed rigorous protocols to foster an ethical and safe environment for the animals.

While we continue to review the circumstances shown in the edited footage, Amblin is confident that great care and concern was shown for the German Shepherd Hercules, as well as for all of the other dogs featured throughout the production of the film. There were several days of rehearsal of the water scenes to ensure Hercules was comfortable with all of the stunts. On the day of the shoot, Hercules did not want to perform the stunt portrayed on the tape so the Amblin production team did not proceed with filming that shot.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson from the American Humane Association, the group responsible for ensuring the safety of animals on film and TV sets, told The Associated Press they are investigating the situation

Universal Pictures did not respond to The Huffington Post’s request for comment.

Leaked ‘Game Of Thrones’ Video May Be Your First Look At Season 6

Filming of “Game of Thrones” season 6 is well underway. Thanks to the obsessive sleuthing of the fandom and some sneaky paparazzi work by enterprising locals, we already know a lot about what’s in store (including the fact that Jon Snow almost certainly did not stay dead). But we haven’t seen any footage from the set — until now.

On Tuesday, Spanish fan site Los Siete Reinos posted a covertly shot video showing what seems to be a sword fight outside the Tower of Joy. The video looks like it was taken on a cellphone, a long distance from the set at the 900-year-old Castillo de Zafra, so you can’t make out much. But there’s clearly man-to-man fighting going on. Take a look:

Los Siete Reinos — Spanish for “The Seven Kingdoms” — posted still photos from the same sequence. They, too, are blurry and shot from afar. But the lack of detail didn’t stop “Game of Thrones” fan site Winter is Coming from speculating that the characters fighting are Ned Stark and Arthur Dayne, and that the woman in white standing near them is Ned’s sister Lyanna.

Fans have suspected for some time that season 6 would include the Tower of Joy sequence. Casting calls for the show included a posting for a character called Legendary Fighter, who many believe is Ser Arthur Dayne, a famed Dornish member of King Aerys’s Kingsguard. The casting call said the character “carries a hugely famous sword on his back.” In “A Song Of Ice And Fire,” the book series upon which “Game of Thrones” is based, Dayne wields a sword called Dawn, which was forged, likely from a meteorite, thousands of years ago before the events of the series.

The Emmy-winning fifth season of “Game of Thrones” brought the show’s plot nearly to the end of the events depicted in the books George R.R. Martin has published thus far, so even diehard readers are in the dark about much of what will take place in season 6.

But the fight at the Tower of Joy is an exception. We got some of the story — or at least Ned Stark’s memory of it many years later — in the first book, A Game of Thrones

The story goes that near the end of Robert’s Rebellion, Ned Stark and six of his companions rode to the castle in the Red Mountains of Dorne, where Prince Rhaegar Targaryen had taken Lyanna Stark after “abducting” her. Rhaegar had named the castle “The Tower of Joy.” When Stark et al. arrived, they encountered three members of the Kingsguard — Dayne, Ser Oswald Whent and Lord Commander Gerold Hightower — guarding the entrance.

A brutal fight ensued. Even though the knights of the Kingsguard were outnumbered, they managed to kill five of Stark’s party. Ned Stark later said that Dayne would have killed him, too, had his old friend Howland Reed — father of Bran’s traveling companions Jojen and Meera Reed — not saved his life. When Stark and Reed entered the tower, they found Lyanna dying in a “bed of blood.”

Here’s where things get really interesting. Before Lyanna died, she made Stark promise something. He never revealed what. But fans think that it concerned Jon Snow — who, the theory goes, was actually the child she had with Rhaegar. The bed was bloody, by this thinking, because Lyanna had just given birth. She made her brother promise to claim that Jon was his own son to keep him safe.

There’s a bit more evidence for the R+L=J theory scattered throughout the books. But it all ultimately rests on the Tower of Joy sequence. Which is assumedly why “Game of Thrones” creators Daniel Benioff and D.B. Weiss chose to film the sequence for the next season. It could be their way of confirming, once and for all, the theory that Jon Snow is the son of Rhaegar and Lyanna.

It’s still not clear how the sequence will fit into the show. Season 5 began with the first flashback of the series — a childhood memory of Cersei Lannister’s. But everyone present at the fight is dead by the time season 6 starts — except Howland Reed. Many fans believe that Reed — who hasn’t yet made an appearance in the books — will reveal what transpired, and therefore Jon’s parentage, at some point in the last two books.

Maybe that’s what will happen in the show, too. But casting info makes it clear that this isn’t the only flashback we’ll see in season 6. So the prevailing theory instead is that Bran Stark will use his mysterious and growing powers to look back in time, and that the fight at the Tower of Joy will be seen through his mind’s eye.

The strongest evidence of this theory? Isaac Hempstead-Wright, the actor who plays Bran, was allegedly spotted at the Castillo de Zafra this week. At this point in the series, Bran is in a cave north of the Wall, thousands of miles from Dorne, so there’s basically no way he’s going to travel to the Tower of Joy in person.

The bottom line? Jon is the son of Rhaegar and Lyanna. And we’re finally going to get confirmation this spring.

Leaked Upcoming 50 Shades of Grey Sequels!

Ever since EL James’ new masterwork “Grey: Fifty Shades of Grey as Told by Christian” became a runaway bestseller, everyone who can read has been clambering for more! Luckily, these upcoming titles have just been leaked to me. (Caution: Spoilers.)

“Kavanagh: Fifty Shades of Grey as Told by Anastasia’s Best Friend Kate Kavanagh”
In this retelling of the classic work we get to see the story from the point of view of Anastasia’s best friend and roommate, Kate. While you’ll miss out on much of the sex in this version, you’ll get a much deeper exploration of what it’s like being a recent female college graduate trying to make ends meet in post-recession Vancouver, Washington.

“Grace: Fifty Shades of Grey as Told by Christian’s Mom, Grace Trevelyan Grey”

This time the story is told from the perspective of Christian’s mom as she recounts what she knows of his S&M affair to her nosy Sunday book club.

“50 Shades of Shades
This one takes the old story and adds a new twist. All the characters are super cool and wear dark shades, even indoors when they are making love. The best line: “Anastasia, drop your panties” he said, “but leave the shades.”

“Desk Lamp: Fifty Shades of Grey as Told by a Desk Lamp That Anastasia and Christian Knock Over While They’re Doing It”
Sort of self-explanatory.

“Ghosts of Grey”
This one is a real mindbender–delving into the world of Paranormal Romance. It’s the original story of “Fifty Shades” told from the point of view of Christian’s (ever-present but unseen) guardian angel–a deeply repentant Adolf Hitler working to earn his redemption.

“Fifty Shades Rex: Fifty Shades of Grey as Told by Christian Grey’s Corgi”
Here’s your chance to see what things look like from below. Wink Wink! The twist? Rex is 15-years-old and blind in his right eye from glaucoma. He lost a leg to cancer a year back, so he has to move around on wheels strapped to his torso. At the end Ana puts him down.

“Ceiling Fan: Fifty Shades of Grey as Told by The Ceiling Fan in The Red Room of Pain”

At first I thought this was just gonna be a rip off of “Desk Lamp.” But as I started reading I realized there was a major difference. In this one, the character of Ceiling Fan is both sentient and gendered. The most intriguing line in my opinion is this: “I’m so happy to be the one who keeps Christian from working up too much of a sweat while he’s participating in his BDSM lifestyle,” said Ceiling Fan to herself. “God, how I hate you, Anastasia!”

In Leaked Memo, the NRA Responds to Child Shootings

(The below email from National Rifle Association (NRA) CEO Wayne LaPierre was forwarded to your humble correspondent, who feels it his civic duty to share with the public, in light of the fact that American kids are accidentally, but quite regularly, shooting themselves, their siblings, and sometimes their own parents).

TO: NRA, All Staff
FROM: Wayne LaPierre, CEO
SUBJ: Retiring Eddie Eagle 🙁

Dear colleagues,

Many of you no doubt recall with great fondness the moment Eddie Eagle, our beloved gun safety icon, first made a landing in your life, either at school or online, especially after his spiffy digital upgrade. For almost thirty years now Eddie has been charming American youngsters, and his catchy firearm safety limerick (“Stop, don’t touch! Run away, tell a grown up!”) is one of the most popular songs in the nation.

But while his flight has been a long and distinguished one, this year the sun will gently set on our singing bird of prey. It is with a heavy heart that I share with you all the suspension of our association’s Eddie Eagle Gun Safety program, effective immediately. Despite our best efforts and decades of diligence, the program has, unfortunately, proven to be an abject failure.

Almost every day it seems, untrained American youngsters are still getting their precious little fingers on firearms, with tragic consequences (who can forget those unfortunate young parents in New Mexico, or most recently in the Buckeye State, where a 3-year old boy just used his mother’s gun to take his own life).

Now for the good news. With Eddie flying off into the sunset, the National Junior Shooter Department has been working overtime on a new program to pick up where he left off, and to correct certain mistakes made in the past. With Eddie Eagle we tried to teach vigilance, but I regret to say he also taught fear. In his naivete, Eddie may have unwittingly made young Americans afraid to bear arms, and that’s a mistake I’ll never forgive myself for — a mistake we’re going to correct. The National Rifle Association will no longer be in the business of scaring American youngsters. Instead, we’re going to arm them. With knowledge.

Our new training program, Second Amendment Avengers™, will teach a new generation of young Americans to be proud of their Constitution again. The new program will no longer abide by the fallacy that young Americans curious about their second amendment rights should be told to “run away” from firearms. After all with over 300 million guns in homes all across this country, and gun sales through the roof, if American youngsters had to run every time they found a loaded weapon, they’d never get a moment’s rest!

(Designed exclusively for the NRA by The Public Society)

Instead we’ll offer a rigorous curricula with a focus on marksmanship, urban combat, second amendment history, terrorism avoidance, and of course, gun safety. With regular online and interactive pop quizzes, we will teach the nation’s youth to know the difference between an AR and an M4, a TEC-9 and a Taurus 9MM. We’ll be rolling it out this fall in major school districts nationwide, as well as in eligible day care centers and preschools. The minimum age of enrollment is two years old.

One of the most exciting features of the program is a partnership with Machine Gun America, Orlando’s delightful new armed and loaded amusement park (watch out Disney, you’ve got some competition!). The park will host our young Avengers on chaperoned field trips, where they’ll be given the opportunity to test their sharp shooting skills against real targets!

It is, truly, morning in Machine Gun America.

After all, we can’t afford to tiptoe around anymore; Lord only knows what kind of gun grabbing bureaucracy Hillary Clinton is cooking up at her campaign headquarters in Brooklyn. In all fairness Eddie’s “Stop, don’t touch!” tune served it’s purpose, but this new, terrifying era demands a more muscular curriculum for our youth. The new tune our Second Amendment Avengers™ will be singing along to is, “Stop. Stand your ground. Ready. Aim for the head!” Millions of young American firearm enthusiasts will finally receive the training they deserve, to protect their parents, themselves, and their freedom.

This is an emotional moment for many of us, and Human Resources has made arrangements with a grief counselor who will be available all this week to discuss any feelings of discomfort or loss related to Eddie Eagle’s sudden departure. But mostly I hope you share my excitement about this new direction for our association, and the youngsters of America. Just think of the many young lives we’ll save!

We can’t stand by while one more precious angel goes to heaven after mishandling a firearm, just to protect our second amendment rights. That’s simply not who we are.

Wayne LaPierre
Executive Vice President and CEO
National Rifle Association (NRA)

P.S. Later this evening some of us will be saluting Eddie Eagle’s last flight and sharing some of our personal favorite “Eddie stories” at O’Ryans over on Lee Highway. I hope you’ll join us!

P.P.S. This is clearly a work of satire, inspired by a new play exploring American gun culture, Bullets Over Preschool, premiering in New York City on June 19th.

Trailer for 50 Shades of Grey Sequel Leaked

Turns out that Lord of the Rings and Twilight weren’t the only films that shot multiple sequels at the same time. With 50 Shades of Grey expected to shatter box office records, Universal decided to shoot two 50 Shades movies — and the sequel is already finished. An Executive Vice President said, “We decided we could amortize the costs of sets and locations, while capitalizing on Jamie Dornan’s unsustainable hotness.”

Research found that women wanted Christian Gray’s new relationship to be more “real.” Did they succeed?

Lisa Kudrow Weighs In On Leaked Sony Emails: Executives Should Know Better

As embarrassing emails between executives continue to be released on a daily basis, there’s no end in sight for the crisis that hit Sony Pictures when hackers compromised a vast amount of confidential employee data last month and posted it online. From nasty words about Angelina Jolie and racial jokes about President Obama, to evidence Jennifer Lawrence was paid less than her male co-stars on “American Hustle,” the leaks have forced conversations about the expectation of privacy when sending an email.

Star of HBO’s “The Comeback” Lisa Kudrow stopped by HuffPost Live’s LA studio Friday for a conversation with network president Roy Sekoff and had some interesting things to say about the Hollywood hack. The actress expressed disbelief at the email correspondence, particularly because in the information age, private correspondence never stays private for long.

“How come I know you don’t write anything you don’t want broadcast in an email? How come I know that? Who’s advising people?” Kudrow asked.

“It doesn’t matter how many times [an email] says ‘This is confidential, meant for just between the sender and the recipient,'” she said. “Why don’t we know that there are no rules? Everything is broadcast and published. That’s the part I just don’t understand.”

That tough reality has made Kudrow extremely cautious of what she says.

“I mean, I have almost no opinions anymore,” she joked.

‘Leaked’ Star Wars Footage Is Awesome… And Fake

Someone’s having fun with computer graphics.

A fan-made video billed as “leaked” footage from the set of the new “Star Wars” film shows Imperial Forces taking over Germany’s Frankfurt Airport.

“Looks like the Story of Star Wars plays on Earth too in the next Episode,” YouTube user Frank Wunderlich writes in the description. “I took these pictures on my Flight back from the States to Germany at the Frankfurt Airport.”

The clips shows spacecraft such as Imperial Shuttles as well as AT-STs and even a giant AT-AT marching along the runway as Stormtroopers patrol the area.

At one point, an Imperial Star Destroyer is viewable in the background. At another, the Death Star is seen in the sky above.

No, it’s not really leaked footage. But it’s safe to say the Force is strong with this one.

Standard Hotel Fires Employee Who Leaked Solange And Jay Z Fight Video

NEW YORK (AP) — A hotel where someone recorded security video appearing to show Beyonce’s sister, Solange Knowles, attacking Jay Z inside an elevator said Wednesday it had identified and fired the person.

The Standard Hotel said the person had been terminated for “breaching the security polices of the hotel and recording the confidential CCTV video.” Celebrity website TMZ posted the 3-minute video on Monday and said it was shot last week inside a Standard Hotel elevator.

The video appears to show Solange attacking Jay Z in Beyonce’s presence. A security guard intervenes. The footage shows the performers in the outfits they wore to the Met Gala last week. There is no audio.

The hotel said after the video was first aired that it was “shocked and disappointed” by the security breach. It said Wednesday that it will turn over “all available information to criminal authorities.”

Representatives for Jay Z, Beyonce and Solange haven’t commented on the video and didn’t reply to emails sent Wednesday seeking comment.

Jay Z and Beyonce, who were married in 2008, will kick off their co-headlining “On the Run Tour” on June 25 in Miami.

Solange recently performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, where Beyonce joined her onstage.
