Yakuza 7 Announced With Some Major Series Changes

Sega has officially unveiled the next chapter in the Yakuza series, which takes combat in a different direction to its predecessors.

Its full Japanese title is Ryu ga Gotoku 7, which roughly translates to Yakuza 7: Whereabouts of Light and Darkness – though its name in the West will likely be slightly different. Yakuza 7 is headlined by an all-new main character, Ichiban Kasuga, but the biggest shake up is its approach to how fighting plays out. The brawling action of past games is being swapped out for turn-based combat.

Gematsu has translated the Japanese press release which describes how the game uses a “”live command RPG battle” system that combines the series’ signature action with an RPG-style command system. It has evolved into a system in which anyone can easily enjoy exhilarating battles. In this completely new battle system, Ichiban Kasuga and his party will fight by selecting techniques with various effects such as attack, recovery, support, and more.”

Artists and Fashion Designers Team Up in Some Unexpected Places

Several arts-related shows and exhibitions are cropping up in fashion-friendly places.
As part of an ongoing effort to showcase artistic programs, Spring Place will be staging “Infoxication” Monday night.
The 50-minute multidisciplinary performance will feature art, music, dance and technology. The theme is technology’s presence in our lives. Infoxication is the latest arts-related collaboration at Spring, with the American Ballet Theatre and the Water Miller Center being others. Monday’s will be the first full production, and the largest one to date, with more than 20 collaborators, according to Spring Place’s art director, Roya Sachs. The full immersive experience includes product support from Google — Pixelbooks and Pixel phones. “It’s definitely in the vein of trying to create these more impactful and interactive programming and performances,” Sachs said.
The four-part experience is meant to take audience members on a visual, physical and mental journey. Ticket holders will learn the story of “waking, working, wanting and withdrawing.”
Collaborators include choreographer Dusan Tynek, a world premier composition by Danielle Eva Schwob, live body art by Heather Hansen, and performances by PubliQuartet and cellist Inbal Segev. Schwob said Friday, “Our goal has been to provide an even-sided take on people’s daily lives. It’s very easy to talk about

Tokyo Fashion Week Receives Tepid Reviews With Some Bright Spots

TOKYO — Eagle-eyed buyers at Tokyo Fashion Week discovered some gems beyond the runways — even one that might satisfy despondent Phoebe-philes.
“I think there may be an opportunity for Hyke to gain a bigger following. For people who were fans of Phoebe Philo’s Celine who are now looking elsewhere, Hyke could possibly fill that void,” said Motofumi “Poggy” Kogi, creative director of United Arrows & Sons.
Hyke staged a large-scale show in a rented venue for the first time this season. And while it is already carried by some of the best stores in Japan and across Asia, Kogi believes it may have potential in the West as well.
Tomomi Miyamoto, a men’s wear buyer for Hankyu and Hanshin Department Stores, said she planned to pick up Japanese brand Comoli, which also did not participate in fashion week. “The quality of the materials is unique to Japan, and the designer’s proposal for the way clothes should feel when you wear them is fresh,” Miyamoto said. “I can feel its strength in its conviction to be unshakable by trends.”
Tokyo Fashion Week finished its six-day run on Saturday to largely mixed reviews. After what many considered to be a strong autumn season, the spring 2019 installment generated

Danielle Staub Is ‘Having Some Difficulties’ with Her Marriage 2 Months After Wedding

Danielle Staub is facing marital problems just two months after she tied the knot with husband Marty Caffrey.

Following reports that the pair had split, a rep for the 55-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star tells PEOPLE that while they are “having some difficulties,” Staub is hoping for a happy resolution.

“Danielle is having some difficulties with her marriage right now and is hoping everything will work out,” Staub’s rep says.

Staub and Caffrey said “I do” in May during a sunset bohemian beach ceremony held on the Bahamas’ North Bimini Island at the Luna Beach Club.

The reality star’s RHONJ costars Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga and Margaret Josephs all served as bridesmaids for the event, and a source told PEOPLE at the time that the occasion was filmed for the hit Bravo show’s upcoming ninth season.

Staub and Caffrey began dating in April 2016 and live together in her New Jersey home. He proposed to her on a season 8 episode — news of which PEOPLE first reported in May — surprising Staub on the grounds of a beautiful mansion, where a violinist played Pachelbel’s “Canon in D” and a handful of couples danced around them.

“Baby, when I first met you, I was struck with how beautiful you are. As I got to know you, I fell in love with you,” he told her before popping out a ring (a round cut diamond with four prongs and an eternity band) and proposing. “I’ll do everything I can to love you, to protect you, and to keep you safe.”

“The engagement was simply beautiful,” Staub gushed later. “He is such a gentleman.”

Ahead of the pair’s marriage, Staub — who returned to RJONJ last season in the Friend of the Housewives role after a 6 season hiatus from the show — told PEOPLE, “I’m excited to connect with Marty as husband and wife.”

“There’s nothing more beautiful about that,” she added. “We’re both looking forward to that next chapter.”

This is the third marriage for Staub. She and her last husband, businessman Thomas N. Staub, split after 14 years together before RHONJ began filming. They share daughters Christine, 24, and Jillian, 20. Her first marriage was to former FBI informant Kevin Maher.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 9 is expected to premiere this fall.

LeBron James and some of the NBA’s biggest stars reportedly have ‘disdain’ toward Stephen Curry that he doesn’t understand

Stephen Curry is one of the best, most well-respected, and most popular players in the NBA, but his quick rise in the league reportedly rubbed some of his peers the wrong way. In 2017, Marcus Thompson of The Athletic, author of the book "Golden: The Miraculous Rise of Steph Curry," explained to "The Big Lead with Jason McIntyre" that Curry is not all that popular with some of the league's biggest stars, including LeBron James. "There's this thing there with he and LeBron that's a little weird," Thompson said. According to Thompson, James and Curry were close from Curry's days at Davidson to his early years in the league. Thompson said James was "like a mentor" to Curry, but as Curry's game improved,

The Netherlands Determines Some Loot Boxes Are Gambling

In the latest twist in the ongoing saga of loot boxes – or similar items that reward a purchase with an item at random – the Dutch Gaming Authority (or Kansspelautoriteit) has made the decision that some loot boxes can be considered gambling, and instructed video game publishers that they will need to make changes in order to comply with Dutch law.

Per a translation by Eurogamer, the authority examined the use of loot boxes in ten games (seemingly the ten most popular on Steam) and found that four of them directly contravene the Dutch Betting and Gambling Act. Although the authority itself didn’t name the games involved, NOS reports that the four games in question are FIFA 18, Dota 2, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Rocket League.

Rihanna Opts for a More Understated After Party Look After Showing Off Some Major Cleavage on the Valerian Red Carpet

Rihanna has never shied away from a major dose of drama in her evening wear. Whether she’s casually gliding over subway grates in staggeringly high lace-up stilettos, picking up her CFDA Icon award in a completely sheer Swarovski-encrusted dress, do-rag and thong, or casually attending Coachella in a fresh off the runway glittering unitard from brand of the moment Gucci, the pop star doesn’t exactly do low-key dressing. So when it comes to celebrating her new film Valerian, her outfits are nothing short of show-stopping as she proved at both the movie’s after party and on the red, er blue, carpet in London.

After watching her performance on the big screen, the bad gal headed to the St. Martins Lane Hotel to fete the film with her cast mates, letting her breasts breath a little in a much looser dress after giving some Jane Mansfield-level cleavage at the premiere earlier that day. To celebrate, Riri wore a breezy, silver, spaghetti strap slip dress with a matching silver duster, silver heels, and a fringed metal purse.

Of course, this after party look was in sharp contrast to the one she wore to the movie’s premiere, a voluminous, red Giambattista Valli dress with off-the-shoulder straps, a deep-V neckline and plenty of cleavage. She paired the gown with diamonds from Chopard and Jimmy Choo shoes.

RELATED PHOTOS: The 29 Most Rihanna Outfits in Honor of Her 29th Birthday

But Rihanna wasn’t the only red carpet icon in attendance at the film premiere on Monday night.

One of Valerian‘s stars Cara Delevingne also made an appearance, finding a brand new way to play with her recently shorn hair, this time in a platinum blonde pixie cut wig which she secured with a black ribbon headband. She paired the dramatic do with an equally statement making, perfectly tailored suit from Burberry and an ornate shoulder-spanning diamond necklace. But just because she looks serious on the step and repeat doesn’t mean the model turned actress takes herself all that seriously, giving a shoutout on Instagram to John Drops who recreated her look with a pair of silver sneakers, a silver wig, and a couple of black ribbons, creating an impossible game of ‘Who Wore It Better?’

What do you think of Rihanna’s Valerian looks? Have you ever tried to recreate a celebrity’s outfit? Sound off below!

Here’s Some New Gay Slang And Terminology To Brighten Your Sunday

Even in the era of eggplant and peach emojis, Justin Sayre wants to keep gay speech and slang alive.

In his latest video for HuffPost Queer Voices, Sayre teams up with fellow writer-performer Ben Rimalower to introduce some new, cheeky gay terminology to spice up your everyday vocabulary. Sorry, folks ― these phrases aren’t for kids. You’ll never look at “Mulan,” Dropbox, Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds the same way again. (WARNING: contains graphic language.)

For the past 8 years, Sayre’s “International Order of Sodomites” (I.O.S.) has met once a month for “The Meeting,” a variety show honoring an artist or a cultural work that is iconic to the gay community. The final installment of “The Meeting” hits Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater for two performances May 14, and will also be streamed online

Some Facebook users are seeing a rocket icon in their app. Here's what it does

Some Facebook users are seeing a rocket icon in their app. Here's what it doesIn recent weeks, some users have started noticing a rocket-shaped icon in their Facebook mobile app.  The icon, positioned right next to the main news feed icon, gives you a different type of news feed, one which displays popular posts from people and pages that you haven't befriended or liked.  SEE ALSO: Facebook's new emoji are finally available to everyone I've had the new feature on my Android phone for at least three weeks now, though it tends to disappear and reappear every now and then. (I’m based in Croatia, but there are also reports of users seeing the new icon in the UK.) The rocket feed offers a great deal of local content, so it's possible that it's showing posts that are popular near my geographical location. However, I'm also seeing some posts that are relevant to my interests, so it might not be completely disassociated from my likes/friends.  Most of the posts I'm seeing in the new feed are from pages (some of which I've liked), and some are from users that aren't my friends. Image: Stan Schroeder/Mashable The new feed seems to be remarkably similar to Instagram's Explore tab, which shows you posts that the company's algorithms have determined to be relevant to your interests.
UPDATE: April 3, 2017, 2 p.m. CEST A reader (thanks, Petar) sent us a few screenshots of the new feature as seen on the iPhone, where it is slightly different. Here, the new feed (labeled "Explore") has more of a magazine vibe to it, with two news items laid out side by side.  The new Explore feed looks a little different on the iPhone. Image: Petar Zivkovic This isn't the first time Facebook is testing a different type of news feed on a (typically small) subset of its users. For example, in April 2016 we've seen a new style of news feed which shows stories clustered around certain topics.
Mashable has contacted Facebook for more details on this new feature and will update the post when we hear back from them.  WATCH: Check out WhatsApp's new Statuses

Here Are Some Of The Most Awesome Signs From The March For Science

Thousands of people gathered in hundreds of cities Saturday to show their support for science and demand evidence-based policy in the wake of President Donald Trump’s anti-science agenda.

The March for Science, a series of rallies around the world, took place on Earth Day to highlight the need to fight the devastation that Trump’s environmental policies would inflict on the planet.

And of course, all those science lovers came with pretty great signs. Here are some of the best, cleverest and most poignant signs we’ve seen so far.

Fabletics Seeks to Continue Momentum as Some in Activewear Contract

TUCSON, ARIZ. — Not everyone in the ath-leisure space can be a winner.
Fabletics general manager Gregg Throgmartin pointed to some market realities that may be signaling rationalization within the sector that could trim a bit of the fat within the industry.
Throgmartin spoke at the annual Global Retailing Conference taking place here through Friday. While the executive peeled back the layers on all the ways the company is using data to making smarter merchandising moves and get closer to its customers, Throgmartin also made mention of perhaps a broader reality beginning to set in within the market segment in which it competes.
“[Ath-leisure] is clearly a very popular trend and there’s a new person getting in it every day, right?” the executive said of the market. “A new celebrity or a new retailer that’s launching their own line.”
But there’s been a sobering within the industry even as spandex’s popularity afforded many, including Fabletics, to enter and thrive in the space. The executive pointed to VF Corp.’s plan to wind down its Lucy ath-leisure brand and meld it in with The North Face this year. There was also the Chapter 11 filing of YogaSmoga Inc. late last year.

Fox Might Pull Some Networks Off-Air This Weekend Due To Contract Dispute

Fox Networks Group has threatened to pull some of its networks off-air as contract negotiations with major cable provider Charter Communications continue to stall.

That’s bad news for sports fans ― and anyone keeping up with “Feud.”

While Fox News and the Fox broadcast network would not be affected, Deadline reports, FX would go dark along with National Geographic, Fox Sports and 19 regional sports channels for subscribers to Charter’s Spectrum service, formerly known as Time Warner Cable.

With all the cheesy histrionics of a political attack ad, Fox Networks warned in a clip aired in affected markets that the outage would come during the NBA and NHL playoffs and certain MLB games. (Watch it above.) Episodes of “The Americans,” “Feud” and “Fargo” on FX would also not be accessible, should the blackout continue.

A carriage agreement between Fox Networks and Charter expired March 31, Variety reported. Because the two sides have failed to reach a deal so far, Fox claims that Charter is in breach. The cable provider purchased Time Warner Cable in May 2016, and rebranded it shortly after.

In a statement provided to Variety, Fox points out several teams whose coverage could be affected, including the St. Louis Cardinals and Blues, Kansas City Royals, Cleveland Cavaliers and Cincinnati Reds along with “many other” games.

Fox isn’t the first network group to have problems negotiating with Charter, however. Earlier this year, Univision networks went dark for about 36 hours ― affecting about 2.5 million Latinx homes in the U.S., according to the Los Angeles Times ― until a judge stepped in. Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.

Russell Wilson Says He and Ciara Have Decided on a Name for Their Baby: ‘We Both Have Some Creative Sense’

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson may be spilling the beans on whom he thinks will triumph in Sunday’s Super Bowl LI (spoiler alert: the  New England Patriots), but when it comes to his baby on the way, his lips are sealed.

“She’s doing great … it’s a blessing obviously, very excited about that,” Wilson, 28, told Extra‘s Mario Lopez of pregnant wife Ciara, adding that the couple know their baby’s due date, sex and name but are choosing not to reveal them.

“I can’t say exactly — we haven’t told really too many people at all,” adds the football star, whose team clinched their first Super Bowl win in 2014, of how far along his wife is in her pregnancy. “But it’s getting close. We’re getting there.”

Want all the latest pregnancy and birth announcements, plus celebrity mom blogs? Click here to get those and more in the PEOPLE Babies newsletter.

“You want to make it special,” Wilson tells Lopez of keeping the baby’s sex and name under wraps, adding of the moniker they’ve chosen, “We do have a name picked out. It will be a good one.”

Lopez asks whether Wilson or his wife, who also has a 2½-year-old son named Future Zahir, was the mastermind behind the name choice.

“A little bit of both,” Wilson says. “I think we both have some creative sense about us, so it’s gonna be cool.”

RELATED VIDEO: Baby on the Way for Ciara and Russell Wilson!

Though the Seahawks didn’t advance to the big game this season, they did get close, falling to the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Divisional Playoffs in mid-January.

And Wilson didn’t sweat the loss, posting a sweet message on Instagram alongside a photo of Ciara, 31, planting a smooch on her husband’s cheek.

“I will forever win bc I get to come home to you every night. The love of my life. I love you,” Wilson wrote. “This past year has been full of so much joy & happiness.”

“From getting Married to having little one on the way, to your constant endless love. I couldn’t be more grateful to have you in my life Mrs. Wilson. You make everyday a perfect day. #ForeverGrateful.”

Eva Mendes Shows Ryan Gosling Some Love After Sweet Golden Globes Speech

Eva Mendes might have skipped the 2017 Golden Globes, but her presence was certainly felt during Ryan Gosling’s touching acceptance speech.

The “La La Land” actor, who picked up his first Golden Globe on Sunday, declared his love for his “lady” at the awards ceremony. Now, Mendes, who typically shies away from publicly discussing her relationship with Gosling, has addressed the buzzy Globes moment in a short and sweet Instagram post.

On Monday, the actress shared a photo of Janelle Monae’s out-of-this-world look on the red carpet, subtly saving her appreciation for Gosling in the caption.

“Obviously this wasn’t my favorite moment of the night,” she began.

“But it was definitely my favorite style moment of the night. The stunning and talented [Monae] is killing me with this look,” Mendes continued.

Gosling spent his acceptance speech singing Mendes’ praises and thanking her for taking care of their two children, Amada and Esmeralda, while he filmed “La La Land” with co-star Emma Stone, who also picked up a Golden Globe that night. He ended his speech by dedicating the award to Mendes’ older brother, Juan Carlos, who died of cancer in April.

“While I was singing and dancing and playing piano and having one of the best experiences I’ve ever had on a film, my lady was raising our daughter, pregnant with our second and trying to help her brother fight his battle with cancer,” Gosling said at the event.

“If she hadn’t taken all of that on so I could have this experience, it would surely be someone else up here other than me today, so, sweetheart, thank you,” he continued. “To my daughters, Amada and Esmeralda, I love you. If I may, I’d like to dedicate this to the memory of her brother, Juan Carlos Mendes.”

The duo, who rarely attend Hollywood events as a couple, have been together for six years, after sparks flew on the set of 2012’s “The Place Beyond the Pines.”

Whether Mendes will choose to accompany Gosling to the Academy Awards in February ― where he will likely be nominated for his performance in “La La Land” ― remains unknown. But after the Globes, we can’t wait to see more of these two.

How Is Viola Davis Celebrating Her Golden Globe Win? ‘I’m Going to Eat Some Meat’

Viola Davis is ready for grub!

On Sunday night, the actress took home her very first Golden Globe for her role in Fences. And the five-time nominee planned to celebrate her win with plenty of food.

“I’m going to eat!” she told reporters at the 18th annual InStyle and Warner Bros. Pictures Golden Globe After-Party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. “I’m going to eat some meat.”

Watch PEOPLE & EW Red Carpet Live Sunday night and streaming now on People/Entertainment Weekly Network (PEN). Go to PEOPLE.com/PEN, or download the app for Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Xumo, Chromecast, Xfinity, iOS and Android devices.

Joined by her husband Julius Tennon, Davis, 51, said the win “feels perfect.”

“It feels as it should be,” she said. “The perfect project, honoring August Wilson’s legacy, Denzel , and the right age to appreciate it.”

She also talked about her supportive family and friends, particularly Tennon and their 6-year-old daughter Genesis.

“It’s having my husband, and people who love me, and people who have my back, and people who celebrate me, behind me,” she said of the best part of the night.

Check out PEOPLE’s full 2017 Golden Globe Awards coverage and complete winners list!

As for her daughter watching the win from home?

“I’m sure she’s screaming,” she said.

Davis beat out Naomie Harris (Moonlight), Nicole Kidman (Lion), Octavia Spencer (Hidden Figures) and Michelle Williams (Manchester by the Sea).

During her acceptance speech, the actress said, “This is my fifth nomination. I took all the pictures, went to the luncheon. But it’s right on time.”

After receiving some laughs, she delivered a heartfelt message to her costar, Washington.

“You know I’m a friend and a fan. Thank you for being an extraordinary leader, great actor, great director,” Davis said. “Thank you for saying ‘trust me’ and ‘remember the love.’ ”

In addition to her win, Davis provided a tribute to her former costar, friend and idol Meryl Streep, who took home the Cecil B. DeMille Award.

“That’s the first thing you notice about her: She tilts her head back with that sly suspicious smile,” she said of Streep. “And you think, ‘Do I have something in my teeth? Or does she want to kick my ass?’ Which is not going to happen.”

Gigi Hadid Is Apologizing For Her Melania Trump Impression, For Some Reason

Gigi Hadid kicked off the American Music Awards with a brutal, spot-on impression of Melania Trump that some people weren’t too happy about. With co-host Jay Pharaoh standing beside her as Donald Trump, Hadid mocked the Republican National Convention speech in which Melania plagiarized first lady Michelle Obama.

The 21-year-old model addressed the somewhat controversial takedown in a handwritten note to her followers on Monday.

“I was honored to host the AMA’s last night and to work with some of the most respected writers in the business,” Hadid said in the note, which was posted to Twitter. “I removed or changed anything in the script that I felt took the joke too far, and whether or not you choose to see it, what remained was done in good humor and with no bad intent.”

The model finished her note by adding: “I too have been the center of a nationally televised comedy skit that poked fun at my actions, and was able to find the humor in it. I believe Melania understands show business and the way shows are written and run. I apologize to anyone that I offended & have only the best wishes for our country.”

It’s unclear why Hadid felt the need to apologize for her opening act.

Pharaoh also addressed the controversy in a Facebook post on Monday. The former “Saturday Night Live” star compared the horrific names slung at Obama during her time in the spotlight to Melania’s milder treatment.

“Over the last 8 years the beautiful Michelle Obama has been the victim of excessive slurring!” Pharaoh wrote. “The Beautiful Flotus has been called Ape, Gorilla, Monkey, Manish, Ugly, Disgusting,”Not fit to be in the whitehouse”, always physically attacked by the general populous, nobody really snaps about it!”

Read his entire post below:

And for anyone still upset about Hadid and Pharaoh’s impressions:

Here’s Some Surprisingly Positive News About Marriage In The U.S.

Here’s some heartening news about marriage: The U.S. divorce rate fell for the third consecutive year in 2015, dropping to the lowest it’s been in 40 years, according to a report based on Census data released Thursday.

The divorce rate ― represented as the number of divorces per 1,000 married women aged 15 and older ― was 16.9 divorces per 1,000 married women in 2015, a slight dip from the divorce rate of 17.6 in 2014. The rate is down 25 percent from 1980, according to the report, which was released by Bowling Green State University’s National Center for Marriage and Family Research.

“We may have reached the low point in the decline in marriage,” Susan L. Brown, a co-director at the center, told The Huffington Post. “Over the past few years, there has not been a further retreat from marriage among the US population.”

What’s more, marriage rates remain stable, with 32.3 marriages for every 1,000 unmarried women, up from 31.9 in 2014.

Though divorce rates have fallen among young people (35 and under), they’ve increased for middle-aged and older people, Brown said.

“Many of these Baby Boomers experienced the divorce revolution of the 1970s as young adults and then got remarried,” she told HuffPost. “The gray divorce rate for those in a remarriage is 2.5 times higher than for those in a first marriage.”

Meanwhile, younger generations are marrying later in life and being more selective in the process of finding a partner, she said.

“Young adults who get married tend to do so at later ages and they enjoy greater economic resources and they’re more likely to be college educated than their counterparts a generation ago,” she said. “Both of these factors are protective against divorce.”

Of course, the divorce rate varies by state: Washington, D.C. has the highest divorce rate, with nearly 30 marriages per 1,000 ending in divorce, followed by Wyoming (27.9), Nevada (25.7) and Arkansas (25.3)

Hawaii has the lowest divorce rate, with only 11 marriages per 1,000 ending in divorce, followed by Wisconsin, Rhode Island, Delaware, which were all under 13.

Here Are Some Pro-Woman Groups You Can Support Right Now

After a campaign season marred by unrelenting misogyny, Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton to become this country’s president-elect, and many women are reeling. We’re grieving. We’re taking stock of how we got here. We’re getting IUDs. As Clinton said in her concession speech on Wednesday, these results are painful for a lot of people, and they will be for a long time.

Mercifully, this country has long had organizations that fight, every day, to empower women and keep them safe. And while it is, of course, OK to simply be still and feel whatever it is you’re feeling, there are things you can do right now if you feel like you’re crawling out of your skin. Perhaps consider this list (by no means exhaustive) of pro-women, pro-girls groups that can always use support:

American Civil Liberties Union fights to support reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, racial justice, voting rights and free speech (to name a few). Take action. Make a gift.

Black Women’s Blueprint fights sexual violence against black women and girls. Donate here.

Boys & Girls Clubs of America helps provide a safe place for boys and girls to learn and play through programs aimed at fostering leadership, health, the arts, etc. Here are a few ways to give.

Center for Reproductive Rights works to improve the worldwide reproductive rights landscape using the law. Report a rights violation, call on Congress to support women or donate

NARAL Pro-Choice America fights to protect women’s legal right to abortion services in this country. DonateVolunteer

National Organization for Women (NOW), the feminist advocacy group, has been fighting for the women’s rights movement since the 1960s, promoting reproductive rights and an end gender-based inequality. (On Wednesday afternoon, the website was temporarily down but we will update soon.)

National Women’s Law Center works to create policies and laws that support girls and women ― particularly those who are low-income and have been discriminated against. Take action. Donate

Planned Parenthood provides healthcare to 1.5 million women and men every year in this country (despite being under constant threat by the GOP). Donate. Get involved here

RAINN is the largest organization in this country dedicated to ending sexual violence. Get involved by fundraising or helping with the national sexual assault hotline (among other volunteer opportunities). Donate

Video Of A Mole Stuck In A Hole Makes Us Feel Some Type Of Way

Holey moley is right!

A tiny mole seeking sweet, sweet above-ground freedom was almost denied that liberty when it got stuck between two slabs of pavement.

The mole, reportedly Dutch, was recently filmed by a woman walking her dog in the city of Gorinchem, Holland. The footage shows the tiny subterranean animal throwing its paws in the air as it struggles emerge from the ground.

But don’t fret — the little dude wasn’t stuck there for long. The mole eventually broke free from the concrete and scampered into a nearby bush, according to Yahoo UK. Score one for the moles, yet again.

Anyway, this is what a mole looks like up close, for those who are interested (Note: NOT the same mole that was stuck in the hole):

And here’s another mole cheezin’ for the camera, because why not:

(Again, not the same mole that was stuck in the hole):

Just How Badly Do Some People Want To Get Into The Guinness Book?

If records are made to be broken, now is the time: It’s Guinness World Records Day.

2015 marks the 11th year of the event, which annually takes place during the second week of November.

Guinness World Records officials estimate that 650,000 people are attempting to earn their way into the record books this year.

But not all record breakers are human. Otto the Skateboarding Bulldog set a record in Lima, Peru, for “longest human tunnel travelled through by a dog skateboarder.”

Otto doggedly rode through the legs of 30 people on his roll to glory.

Meanwhile, Japan’s Kenichi Ito scampered into the record books by reclaiming his record for the “fastest 100 meter running on all fours” (by a human).

Ito shaved 0.15 seconds off his previous record of 15.86 seconds for a new mark of 15.71 seconds.

The Harlem Globetrotters may have scored an unofficial record for “sports that set the most world records in one day.”

Globetrotter players established seven new Guinness World Records titles at Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona, including “farthest kneeling basketball shot made backwards” (60 feet, 7.5 inches), “longest basketball shot made blindfolded” (69 feet, 6 inches) and “farthest blindfold basketball hook shot” (50 feet, 3.5 inches).

But while records are made to be broken, some might make you wonder why they were attempted in the first place.

Benedikt Mordstein of Freising, Germany, set a record for “fastest time to type a text message on a mobile phone while performing head spins.”

Some of the wackiest records set today include the following:
