Mahershala Ali Takes on the Topic of Masculinity at Zegna Event

Ermenegildo Zegna is not afraid of taking on complicated subjects, whether that’s conservation, sustainability or education. And now, the 109-year-old company has turned its attention to defining modern masculinity. On Thursday night, the Italian luxury brand borrowed a private Upper East Side townhouse to unveil its new communication campaign, What Makes a Man. The ads and videos that ask that question, in hopes of starting a thought-provoking dialogue, feature “Green Book” actor Mahershala Ali. At the event, the Oscar-winning actor sat down with Zegna’s artistic director Alessandro Sartori for a chat to take on the subject. The conversation was supposed to be moderated by Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian, but he was at the U.S. Open watching his wife Serena Williams win her semifinal match. But the two men managed just fine without him. They started out by reminiscing about how they met three years ago at an event in L.A. when Ali came into the Zegna store for a custom wardrobe. Sartori said he was impressed with how elegant the actor was and how much he knew about fabric, construction and fashion. Ali said he’d had an interest in fashion since he was a child and one of his earliest memories was “learning how

Maddie Williams Takes Top Prize at Redress Design Awards 2019

HONG KONG – Sustainable fashion charity Redress held its annual design awards runway show on Thursday with 10 finalists presenting five-piece collections created with upcycled materials. Billed as the world’s largest sustainable fashion competition, the grand finale capped a week in which the finalists, emerging designers from around the world, spent a week in Hong Kong participating in a series of educational workshops and challenges. They also visited a TAL factory in Vietnam, and filmed “Frontline Fashion,” Redress’ docuseries, at historic Hong Kong locations including The Mills, PMQ and Tai Kwun. Maddie Williams from the U.K. took first prize with her collection that she based on “eco-grief,” or anxiety about the ecological breakdown of the planet. “I was imagining a group of futuristic mourners who are grieving the loss of our biodiverse planet and society, and so they made their clothes out of the rubbish that was left behind after the catastrophe,” said Williams, who holds a bachelor’s degree in fashion design from the Edinburgh College of Art and interned at Vivienne Westwood. She imbued the pieces with references to Memento mori and funeral dress of various cultures. Roger Lee, chief executive officer of TAL Group and one of the judges, noted that Williams’ pieces made

Ermenegildo Zegna Group Takes a New Path

MILAN — Gildo Zegna, chief executive officer of the Italian men’s wear powerhouse Ermenegildo Zegna, is known for being a private man, but he’s decided to take a stance to launch a new communication campaign that will be officially presented in New York on Sept. 5. Under the hashtag Whatmakesaman, Zegna’s new campaign is actually much more than simply this season’s latest ads: It maps out a new path for the group, which is reaching out to its customers — established and new — to discuss the concept of masculinity. Gildo Zegna appears in a short film discussing the manifesto. “I believe in this new form of dialogue and direct conversation with our customers through social media, which starts from asking questions, as we do not offer clear-cut answers,” said the executive in an interview in his office here. “What makes a man? There isn’t a single answer to this question, as the world and the concept of masculinity continue to change in a fluid way. Asking questions is the best way to start a conversation. How much do men talk of love or failure? They tend to speak of sports, success, cars, watches, art, travels, business and discipline,” he contended. Things are changing,

James Whiteside Takes the Heat at Thom Browne

FLASH DANCE: James Whiteside certainly loves a challenge: The principal dancer at the American Ballet Theater arrived in Paris at 6 a.m. on Saturday ahead of his smashing performance on Thom Browne’s men’s runway. As soon as the show ended he was headed back to New York for rehearsals for his day job: On Tuesday, he’ll be performing as Siegfried in Swan Lake. He called the Browne gig “an incredible opportunity” beyond what he’d ever dreamt of doing.

On top of the jet lag, he had to deal with the oppressive heat at the show, which took place under a big glass ceiling inside the Beaux-Arts. The temperature did not weigh on him though. “As a dancer I like to be hot — it’s good for the muscles,” he said.

Nineteen-Year-Old Elise By Olsen Takes On Fashion’s Heavyhitters

While many 19-year-olds dream of fashion, Elise By Olsen is asking questions about the industry’s thornier issues.
The founder and editor-in-chief of Wallet magazine interviewed Ssense’s cofounder Rami Atallah, La Rinascente’s vice chairman Vittorio Radice and Grailed’s chief executive officer Arun Gupta for its “Champions of Commerce” issue. “All of these spaces are trying to be very alternative and experiential, but at the end of the day they are about contractions and selling. It’s kind of like retail spaces in disguise, which I think is a whole new thing,” she said.
“We tried to have this conversation about the money, business and politics in the fashion industry, but it seems like there is a lot of focus on experience, style, expression and all of these things. Rami is an engineer. Vittorio is a straight-up businessman. Aaron is a tech guy. None of them really have this fashion background. That also is interesting because they have a fresh approach. They talk about their spaces being very democratic, but luxury fashion stores are also becoming increasingly humiliating in a way. There is security and surveillance in the stores. That’s not new at all but it’s interesting that they talk about department stores being democratic. All

CEO Talks: Bonobos’ Micky Onvural Takes Unique Marketing Approach to C-suite

Micky Onvural has walked an unconventional path to the top post at Bonobos. She spent most of her career in marketing at brands such as Kellogg’s, eBay and Trulia. But Bonobos founder Andy Dunn saw something in the U.K. native that made him tap her in 2016 to serve as chief marketing officer for the men’s wear brand he founded in 2007. With the company’s acquisition by Walmart Inc. in 2017 and Dunn’s new role as head of digital brands for the mega-retailer, Onvural stepped up to chief executive officer.
Here, the mother of three talks about how her background has helped Bonobos evolve, particularly in terms of its out-of-the-box marketing campaigns; her management style, and how she balances work and family.

Meghan Markle Effect Takes the Invictus Games! See How Host Channeled the Duchess with Her Ring

The Meghan Markle sparkle has taken the world by storm — even at the Invictus Games.

Just before Prince Harry‘s opening speech, presenters Kumi Taguchi and Nate Byrne took the stage, and viewers quickly noticed that the large, aquamarine ring Taguchi was wearing looked familiar.

The ring bears a striking resemblance to stunning aquamarine sparkler that Meghan wore when she stepped out in her evening ensemble after the couple’s royal wedding in May.

The emerald cut ring belonged to Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, who famously wore it to an auction of her own clothes at Christie’s in 1997. The jewel is part of a set — the other piece is an aquamarine bracelet, where it’s connected by five strands of pearls. Diana wore both to a gala dinner in Australia in 1996.

Since Prince William and Harry inherited their mother’s jewelry collection, very little of it has been seen in public. But some pieces have been given to the royals’ wives.

Prince William poignantly gave the diamond and sapphire sparkler that was Diana’s engagement ring to Kate Middleton when he proposed in 2010, a lovely reminder that she was with them on their royal wedding day.

Prince Harry was able to mirror that gesture by giving Meghan the aquamarine ring, which, it has now been revealed, was a gift for Diana to wear in place of her engagement ring after her divorce from Prince Charles in 1996. Diana, who died in 1997, was given the square-cut beautiful piece by her good friend Lucia Flecha de Lima, the wife of the former ambassador of Brazil to the U.K.

Lucia, who died last year at her home in Brazil at 76, “bought it to replace the engagement ring Diana no longer wanted to wear once her marriage ended,” veteran royals journalist Richard Kay (who was a friend of Diana’s) writes in the Daily Mail.

According to Kay, Meghan has the inherited ring with her on the couple’s 16-day royal tour of Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand, so she may wear it again soon.

Can’t get enough of PEOPLE’s Royals coverage? Sign up for our newsletter to get the latest updates on Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle and more!

Meghan has already worn a pair of butterfly earrings and a gold bracelet that also belonged to Diana on the first day of their tour in Sydney.

In addition, the Duchess of Sussex’s engagement ring is made up of three diamonds, with one large stone in the center flanked by two smaller stones on the sides. The two side stones are from his late mother, Princess Diana‘s personal collection, while the center stone is from Botswana, a country that is close to Harry’s heart.

Wool Week Takes Over London’s Covent Garden With Colored Washing Machines

SPIN CYCLE: Britain’s annual Wool Week always sets out to quash misconceptions about the fabric, and this year they didn’t disappoint, unveiling an installation of stacked, colorful washing machines in London’s Covent Garden. Dubbed The Wool Care, the installation will be on show until Oct. 21, and is meant to demonstrate the fact that wool is washable, durable — and cool.
“We always thought this was the last frontier. A lot of people think you can’t throw wool in a washing machine, but you can, and when you wash wool, you’re not creating micro-plastics. Wool biodegrades naturally in the sea,” said Peter Ackroyd, chief operating officer for Campaign for Wool.
Hackett, Vivienne Westwood, Marks & Spencer and Adidas are among some of the retailers who took part in the launch earlier this week. “Vivienne Westwood has spread the message of wool extremely well, she talks about buy well, buy less, buy wool,” Ackroyd said.
Jeremy Hackett of the men’s wear brand Hackett unveiled the installation with his dog Muffin and his Aston Martin, which has bespoke wool interiors. Among the other retailers who are preaching the gospel of wool is the outdoor apparel brand Finisterre, which is changing the perception of wool as an “old-fashioned and stuffy” material.

Balenciaga Takes Over Selfridges’ Corner Shop to Launch the Balenciaga Track sneakers

COP THE DROP: Balenciaga has launched its Balenciaga Track sneakers at the corner shop in Selfridges. Until Sept. 23, customers can cop the latest Balenciaga shoe, which is available in four colorways: white and orange, black, yellow and gray, and blue and orange.
Muscling in on the streetwear drop model, Selfridges created a dedicated web site for the product a week prior to the launch. During the one-week window, a limited quantity of the Balenciaga Track was made available for customers to preorder.
For those who missed the online drop, customers will only be able to get their hands on the high-tech sneaker by registering online for a time slot to purchase the shoe in a bid to eliminate the long lineups that come with usual streetwear drops.
As part of the takeover, Balenciaga has commissioned American artist Mark Jenkins to build 18 male and female statues in a variety of postures and body shapes and sizes. These statues don T-shirts, hoodies and jeans, exclusive to the Selfridges collaboration and the Balenciaga Track sneakers.
Three-meter-high screens have also been installed in the space and the new Balenciaga Track is projected in 3-D. The sneakers retail at 550 pounds.

CEO Talks: Ba&sh Takes French-Girl Style to New Territories

PARIS — Will global fascination with French girl style ever let up?
It would seem not. French contemporary brand Ba&sh is steaming ahead with its international push, fueled by the ongoing appeal of feminine looks from France, along with a burgeoning demand for affordable luxury clothing in Asia and North America, according to Pierre-Arnaud Grenade, the firm’s chief executive officer.

Shania Twain Takes Fans Behind-the-Scenes at the Making of Her Now World Tour

Shania Twain is pulling back the curtain on her acclaimed Now Tour.

The singer and reigning queen of country pop is currently touring the country on the North American leg of her world tour — which kicked off in May and will run through August before heading overseas.

So how’d it all come together? Twain and company tell all in a new mini-documentary that PEOPLE is premiering exclusively.

In it, fans can see everything from the rehearsal process to opening night in Tacoma, Washington.

“I’m very excited to get the tour on the road,” Twain, 52, says in the clip. “Once we get in front of the audience and they go, ‘Yay,’ it makes every day interesting and worthwhile.”

Rob Sinclair, Twain’s creative director, says that the singer is “particularly good” at knowing what she wants.

“It’s been really fun to see how we can match the old classics that people are familiar with and then how we stage these news songs to help introduce them,” he says. “It’s a completely new show, totally different from anything you’ve ever seen from Shania Twain before.”

Helping that along are multiple oversized LED boxes, some of which send singers, band members, and Twain herself soaring up in the air.

“It’s complete insanity,” says guitarist Joshua Ray Gooch. “I’m not a fan of heights. They sent me up to the highest point. Shania is up really high as well. I don’t know how she’s doing it.”

Train released her latest album, Now, in September. The 12-track LP debuted on at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It was her first new album in 15 years.

Singles of the record have included “Life’s About to Get Good” and “Swingin’ with My Eyes Closed” — the later which Twain premiered on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Twain has won five Grammys and remains the top-selling female country artist of all time, with more than 90 million albums sold worldwide.

Her Now Tour will play the Budweiser Gardens in London, Canada on Tuesday.

George Clooney Takes Tequila Shot for His 57th Birthday! Inside How He and Amal Are Celebrating

Happy birthday, George Clooney!

The actor, who turns 57 on Sunday, celebrated the milestone by doing a shot of Casamigos tequila with his longtime pal and business partner Rande Gerber — and PEOPLE has the exclusive video above.

As the Casamigos team cheers for the guys in the background, Clooney and Gerber, 56, raise a Casamigos board featuring fastened shot glasses. Clooney’s face says it all, as he goes from processing the tequila to smiling before jokingly falling backwards, making everyone at the celebration laugh and clap.

Clooney has been in Italy for several weeks working on pre-production for his Hulu Catch-22 series, which is scheduled to begin shooting in nearby Sardinia later this month. His father-in-law, Ramzi Alamuddin, has been celebrating his own 80th birthday with friends and family at the Clooneys’ Lake Como residence.

The actor and his wife are slated to be back in New York City for the glamorous Met Gala on Monday, where Amal is co-hosting.

This time last year, the Clooneys were preparing to welcome their twins, Ella and Alexander, who will celebrate their first birthdays next month. “ how much I thought I had in control and how little control I actually have,” Clooney told PEOPLE of raising the twins last fall. “I have none! I think everybody quickly realizes that.”

He opened up about how becoming a dad has changed his life in September, telling The Hollywood Reporter, “The first thing you think is, ‘I hope I don’t screw this up.’ I mean, look, we are all responsible for things in life, and Amal and I are responsible for each other in a way — we look out for one another and we care about one another. But you are really responsible for two kids.”

He added, “I want them to be happy. I want them to have a sense of humor. I want them to be interested in things. I want them to be compassionate about other people’s plights. Because that’s the thing, you know? You have to have some sort of empathy.”

RELATED: George & Amal Clooney Show Support for Gun Violence Prevention at D.C. March For Our Lives Event

The actor has also given more insight recently into the beginnings of his relationship with Amal, 40, whom he married in 2014. “Of course she was beautiful,” he told Vogue in April. “But I also thought she was fascinating, and I thought she was brilliant. Her life was incredibly exciting — the clients she was taking on and the superhuman work that she was doing. I was taken with her from the moment I saw her.”

He previously opened up about meeting Amal at his Lake Como home during an appearance on David Letterman’s Netflix show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction. Clooney said he hadn’t heard of Amal, but his agent knew all about her and made sure the Up in the Air star wasn’t going to waste this opportunity. “I got a call from my agent who said, ‘I met this woman who is coming to your house, who you’re going to marry,’” George told Letterman. “It really worked out that way.”

Over the past several months, the couple have been spotted stepping out for romantic dinner dates in New York City, where the international human rights attorney has been teaching at Columbia University. With Amal’s return to Columbia University as a visiting professor of law and senior fellow with the Human Rights Institute, the humanitarian lawyer and the actor have been spending more time on the East Coast.

As for his professional life, Clooney, who hasn’t starred in a film since 2016’s Money Monster, admitted earlier this year that acting is no longer a priority for him. “Look, I acted for a long time and, you know, I’m 56. I’m not the guy that gets the girl anymore,” he told The Sunday Times, before adding that at least he “shouldn’t be the guy that gets the girl.”

The father of two continued, “But, look, if somebody’s got Paul Newman in The Verdict, I’d jump. But there aren’t that many like that. Acting used to be how I paid the rent, but I sold a tequila company for a billion f— dollars. I don’t need money.”

In June, Clooney confirmed that he and his two business partners — Gerber and real estate mogul Mike Meldeman — sold their Tequila company, Casamigos, for $ 1 billion.

Clooney has also been more outspoken politically this year, often criticizing President Donald Trump. But he told The Sunday Times in the same interview that he does not plan on running for office. “So many people since Trump was elected have really been pushing on me to get more involved in actual politics, specifically at the highest office,” he said, before admitting, “I don’t have political aspirations.”

To many in the NFL, Rosen's reaction was indicative of the scouting report on him heading into the draft — he may be the most talented, complete quarterback in the draft, but he can also be outspoken and brash. Since the Cardinals drafted Rosen, there has only been growing criticism of Rosen's attitude, both on the record and off, and murmurs that he is not well-liked. On

Led by designer and artists Jonathan Meizler, Title of Work’s shop will remain in the space for three months and will feature several installations and special events during its run.
“I am excited to share my vision in a three-dimensional environment from an artistic and social perspective,” said Meizler. “I want people to come to the space and let their guard down and experience what a lot of people are feeling and thinking at the moment.”
The location will house Title of Work’s spring “Dirty Words” collection, comprised of men’s accessories that are intended to “explore the shock, anger, thought and humor of emotionally and socially charged words,” according to the company. Title of Work offers neckwear, pocket squares, scarves and an array of jewelry.
The merchandise, which will be displayed in portfolio cases, will change every three weeks and there will be a customization desk that will allows shoppers to personalize jewelry and neckwear.
The “Dirty Words” collection tapped photographers Michael Beauplet, Jorge Perez Ortiz, Clemens Kois, and Brooke Didonato who interpreted specific ‘dirty words’ for the brand’s official marketing campaign

EXCLUSIVE: Stella McCartney Takes the Plunge Into Men’s Swimwear

STAR OF THE SEA: Stella McCartney is plunging into men’s swimwear with a debut collection that launches Tuesday in partnership ISA SpA, the Italian textile manufacturer, WWD has learned.
Animal and tropical prints — including a jaunty parrot one — from the ready-to-wear collection, star embroidery and a geometric pattern have been cast onto boxers, briefs, rash guards, cover-ups, towels and sustainable beach totes made in Kenya. The color palette includes lavender, yellow, blush pink and bottle green for the organic cotton and recycled nylon fabrics.
McCartney said because she designs swimwear for women, it was only right that she should do the same for men, and that launching the collection felt like a natural progression.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to broaden the men’s collection. I wanted to explore an area of a man’s wardrobe that is important and is perhaps slightly under-designed at times. And I wanted to bring the personality of the man into swimwear, so the relationship of the man and the woman on the beach has consistency.”
The collection will drop at the designer’s boutiques and on her web site and will also be stocked at stores including Harrods, Matchesfashion.com and Mr Porter. Prices range from 155 pounds to 255 pounds for

Byronesque.com Takes Its Rebellion to Tokyo

Byronesque.com, the editorially driven e-commerce site and app specializing in contemporary vintage fashion, has taken up residence at Opening Ceremony‘s Shibuya location in Tokyo through Oct. 30, to ply its provocative vintage subculture to Tokyo Fashion Week. “What will you be remembered for,” the name of the Byronesque.com sale, is a nod to a time when creativity was more important than the celebrity and commerce of today.
Byronesque.com, which thrives on its subversive reputation, enlisted the Shichifukujin crew of graffiti artists to “f–k up Opening Ceremony’s windows in a display of cultural disappointment,” said Gill Linton, the web site’s editor in chief and chief executive officer. Shichifukujin tagged store windows with messages about the banality of fashion and what Linton calls “today’s culture of no-culture.” Sprayed statements included, “F–k your Instagram look” and “Beware of cheap imitations.”
“Tagging, by its very nature is an ephemeral marking of territory,” said Byronesque.com creative director, Justin Westover. “By covering the window in layers of changing and overwritten tags, we’re drawing attention to the superficial transience of contemporary culture.”

SNL Takes on Harvey Weinstein Scandal: ‘It’s Not a Mistake — It’s a Full Season of Law & Order’

One week after Saturday Night Live made last minute cuts on jokes about Harvey Weinstein‘s sexual misconduct scandal, the sketch show came out swinging against the movie mogul.

During Saturday’s “Weekend Update” segment, Colin Jost and Michael Che jumped right in with Weinstein jokes, combined with the news of Apple’s new emojis.

“Apple announced it will add hundreds of new emojis to its iOS system including a person at a spa, a vomiting face and a shushing finger — finally giving emoji fans the ability to describe what it was like to work for Harvey Weinstein,” host Jost said.

Jost then announced that the producer is seeking treatment.

“Somehow, I don’t think that is going to help anybody,” he said. “He doesn’t need sex rehab. He needs a specialized facility where there are no women, no contact with the outside world, metal bars, and it’s a prison.”

RELATED: The Harvey Weinstein Scandal — All of the Hollywood Figures Who Have Spoken Out Against Movie Mogul

Co-anchor Che also didn’t hold back.

“This is a tough spot for a comedian because it’s so hard to make jokes about sexual assault, but it’s so easy to make jokes about a guy that looks like this,” he said. “I mean, he looks like chewed bubblegum rolled in cat hair.”

Che added, “Weinstein told reporters that ‘we all make mistakes,’ but you assaulted dozens of women — that’s not a mistake, that’s a full season of Law and Order.”

Multiple allegations of sexual misconduct, which came to light in an Oct. 5 New York Times exposé and were compounded by a subsequent investigation by the New Yorker, have been brought against Weinstein in the past few weeks.

Following the initial report, Weinstein said in a statement that he was working with therapists and planned to “deal with this issue head-on.” He has since been fired from his powerhouse studio, the Weinstein Company, and his wife, Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman, has announced she’s leaving him.

In response to the lengthy allegations made against Weinstein in the New Yorker piece, a spokesperson for Weinstein said, “Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein.”

In another sketch, Aidy Bryant moderated a panel of three screen legends — Leslie Jones as Viola Davis, Cecily Strong as Marion Cotillard and Kate McKinnon playing fan-favorite character Debette Goldry — discussing sexual harassment in the industry through the years.

“Have I ever experienced sexual harassment in Hollywood? Good Friday, where do you want me to start?” Goldry exclaimed. “Women being harassed is Hollywood. Everything old is new again. Producers are abusing starlets. There’s Nazis marching in the street. And suddenly nude pantyhose are on-trend. I have never felt more at home.”

She added, “When’s polio coming back? This will be fun.”

The actresses discussed their own experiences will sexual harassment, such as men getting naked or trying to coerce them into giving a massage — allegations that mirror what women have said against Weinstein.

“I did have one meeting with Harvey,” McKinnon’s character said. “I was invited to his hotel room and when I arrived he was naked, hanging upside down from a monkey bar. He tried to trick me into thinking his genitals were actually his face. It almost worked. The resemblance is uncanny.”

McKinnon turned to the camera for the final word against sexual harassment and assault.

“Violence against women, it doesn’t just happen to famous actresses, it’s everywhere, d— it! It’s time we take it seriously,” said Goldry. “Pandora’s box is open now, and Pandora’s p—-d.”

Rihanna Takes Center Stage at Bloomingdale’s

Rihanna kept her fans waiting for nearly two hours on Friday at Bloomingdale’s. But no matter. The hard-core Rihanna crowd was happy to sway to her music and mouth every word of every one of her songs played by DJ Pedro. “I’m still in love with you, boy… ” “Time to get schooled,” said the invitation to the launch of the Fenty x Puma by Rihanna fall 2017 collection, which was billed as a pep rally for Fenty U.
Bloomingdale’s second floor — akak Fenty country — was outfitted with a podium that said Fenty U. Props such as bullhorns and pom-poms were strewn about, and about a dozen fans were chosen to sit on benches, like the cheering squad. Given Fenty x Puma items to wear over their clothes by Bloomingdale’s staffers, nobody donned the merchandise, except for the caps.
Asked if this was his scene, Tony Spring, Bloomingdale’s chairman and chief executive officer, said, “This is Rihanna, Fenty and Bloomingdale’s scene. It’s been a good business for us. She has a nice feel for product and style. She’s an icon in the entertainment world and has a true passion for the fashion business. Our culture is influenced by people with

Misha Nonoo Takes On-Demand Manufacturing to Offer Wider Size Range

BEING MORE DIRECT: Having relaunched the business as direct-to-consumer more than a year ago, Nonoo started to think about on-demand manufacturing four or five months in. Seasonality was an initial motivator to sell straight to shoppers, but sustainability made her seek a manufacturing partner that would spare any fabric liability, take care of marking and grading and ensure cutting and sewing with a two-day turnaround time.
After six factories bid for the direct-to-consumer business, the designer decided on her existing partner — a “very entrepreneurial” Chinese factory owner, who was born and raised in New York City. Once an order is placed on her site, the item is cut and sewn in two days and then shipped directly to customers with U.S. ones receiving their merchandise in three days. “In a way, it’s this idea of going back to old school luxury but almost on a fast fashion calendar. In doing that, I realized that not only would I cut out more inventory, I would also cut out contributing to more waste. I would also be able to offer more sizes,” she said.
Earlier this month she started offering her Easy Eight in sizes from extra small to extra large, and from

Stevie Wonder Takes a Knee ‘for America’ in Solidarity After Trump’s Colin Kaepernick Tirade

Stevie Wonder took to his knee in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick and other athletes who previously knelt during the national anthem to protest police brutality against African-Americans.

Before performing hits such as “Higher Ground” and “Overjoyed” at Global Citizen Festival in New York City on Saturday, the 67-year-old singer started his headlining set by addressing the controversy reignited by President Donald Trump’s most recent remarks about NFL player who kneel during the national anthem.

“Tonight, I’m taking a knee for America,” Wonder said as he knelt with his son Kwame Morris. “Not just one knee, but I’m taking both knees. Both knees in prayer for our planet, our future, leaders of our world and our globe. Amen.”

He added, “I wanted to say that prayer before I serve you my musical meal.”

During a rally speech in Alabama on Friday, Trump stated, “Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, say, ‘Get that son of a b–ch off the field right now. Out, you’re fired.’”

He followed this up by pouring more gasoline on the fire with a series of tweets. “If a player wants the privilege of making millions of dollars in the NFL, or other leagues, he or she should not be allowed to disrespect…our Great American Flag (or Country) and should stand for the National Anthem,” he wrote. “If not, YOU’RE FIRED. Find something else to do!”

Numerous celebrities — including Diddy — have also joined in standing behind the players, causing a resurgence of the #TakeAKnee hashtag on social media.

In August 2016, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick made headlines for refusing to stand for the national anthem.

“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” Kaepernick said at the time. “To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

Doing something with Uniqlo means you come up with a wardrobe which is universal and quirky.”

Tesco Takes Toxins Out of Textiles From F&F Clothing Range

DETOX DIET: After committing to the Greenpeace Detox Campaign in June, Britain’s Tesco, one of the world’s largest retailers, said it would immediately begin the process of becoming toxin-free by 2020.
Tesco’s clothing brand, F&F, has joined 79 other international brands and suppliers in the fight against climate change. The F&F brand offers clothing for men, women, children and babies.
The brand has promised to eradicate hazardous chemicals from its supply chain together with brands such as the Swedish fast-fashion giant Hennes & Mauritz and Levi Strauss & Co.
It has committed to sell only products manufactured in a way that protects not only the environment but also workers and their supply chains.
The Greenpeace Detox Campaign, which was launched in 2011, now monitors 15 percent of worldwide textile production.
“In only six years, forerunners of the textile sector went from total denial and opacity of their supply chain to transparency and the banning of all hazardous chemicals. Tesco’s commitment shows the rest of the industry that using hazardous chemicals is not an option anymore” said Kirsten Brodde, Greenpeace Germany’s project lead of the Detox Campaign.
Part of Tesco’s commitment includes thinking ahead and eliminating questionable substances which have not yet been proved to be toxic. Tesco also

Stefano Gabbana loves Melania Trump and he doesn’t care what you think.

The outspoken fashion designer’s brand recently released a white T-shirt that says “#Boycott Dolce & Gabbana.” The shirt trolls critics who disagree with Gabbana’s steadfast support of the first lady and often call for boycotts of the fashion house.

“Dolce & Gabbana boycotts itself,” reads a caption on the brand’s official account, accompanied by a photo of the $ 245 shirt.

“All the lovers and all the #HATERS Reliving #boycottdolcegabbana,” the designer wrote on his personal Instagram account.

”What a stylish way to communicate your contempt for democracy and basic human decency,” one commenter wrote on a photo of the shirt. Another added, “Your brand is getting more and more pathetic.”

Tokyo Photographer Kensaku Kakimoto Takes Aim at Fine Art With Taka Ishii Gallery Show

SKY-HIGH ART: As friends, old and new, filed through Kensaku Kakimoto’s “Hyomen” exhibition at the Taka Ishii gallery Thursday, the photographer chatted about his first solo show in the U.S..
“Taka thought it was important to show the work while it’s so pure,” the photographer said through a translator, adding that his fine art is the complete opposite of his commercial work as a cinematographer, producer and video artist. “My commercial work is done to sell products. The motivation is to make products look good whereas this is purely my own sort of spontaneous work. It’s my point of view of the world.”
The Upper East Side gallery will run the exhibition through June, and has his new book “Translator.” Kakimoto recently shot a video for a Super Mario Bros. app and a film for Under Armour about women’s empowerment. In addition to shooting music videos, he often is airborne filming automobile commercials more often than not in Iceland. “Often when we’re doing those shots, I’ve thought wouldn’t it be fun if you could go a little higher, to see the world a little higher — not as high as being in a jet but being as high as in a helicopter,”

Trevor Noah Takes Down Donald Trump For ‘Gangsta’ Climate Move

President Donald Trump’s announcement that he’s withdrawing the U.S. from the Paris climate agreement was just like an episode of “The Bachelorette,” according to Trevor Noah.

Thursday’s “Daily Show” screened the moment outside the White House in which Trump slowly built up to his big announcement. Noah reimagined the president saying, “Earth, we had a great time in the hot tub, but I’ve gotta give a rose to coal, my black beauty, I choose you.”

Then the host got serious about Trump’s action.

“We all joke about him destroying the world, but this could be it,” he said.  “And can I just say, telling nature to go fuck itself while standing in a garden is a pretty gangsta move, I’m not gonna lie.”

Noah said the only way that it could’ve been more messed up would be if a polar bear was standing in the background during the announcement. If that happened, the comedian joked, he’s sure the president’s son Eric Trump would’ve shown up and shot the animal. “Father, look what I’ve brought you. Do you love me now?” he said in his best Eric Trump impersonation.
