Teen Mom OG Star Bristol Palin Reveals She’s Had a Stalker for 10 Years

There’s a scary reason behind Bristol Palin’s new-home jitters.

In a sneak peek of Monday’s episode of Teen Mom OG, Bristol shows off her new house in Austin to her sister Piper over FaceTime before revealing that her ex-husband Dakota Meyer’s Kentucky house was recently broken into.

“So last night was my first night in the house, and I got a text message pretty late from Dakota saying that his house had got broken into,” Bristol, 28, explains. “His Kentucky house. I swear to God, it was the stalker.”

When Piper, 17, asks her if she’s positive it was her stalker, Bristol responds “for sure,” because Meyer has it on camera.

“I get maybe four hours of sleep as it is because I’ve had this constant threat for 10 years,” Bristol continues.

“The guy’s on the freakin’ loose,” Piper responds. “That is so scary.”

Bristol also reflects on moving out with her three kids: Tripp, 9, Sailor, 2, and Atlee, 1. “It’s scary starting over, but it’s exciting at the same time,” she says.

Bristol had previously lived with Meyer in Austin. During the Oct. 22 episode of Teen Mom, she detailed how how he had moved her things out of their shared bedroom while she was in California after their breakup.

The pair called off their first wedding in May 2015 but later reunited and got married in June 2016. Meyer filed for divorce in February, and they finalized it earlier this summer. While Bristol shares her two daughters with Meyer, she shares son Tripp with her ex-fiancé Levi Johnston

Teen Mom OG airs Mondays (9 p.m. ET) on MTV.

Teen Mom’s Kailyn Lowry Says She’d Rather Date Women as She Loses Partial Custody of Son Lux

Kailyn Lowry is opening up about her love life and turning her back on men (for the moment).

The mother of three revealed she wasn’t open to dating men after her relationship with longtime friend Chris Lopez fell apart. The two share 8-month-old son Lux Russell.

While speaking with friend Lindsie Chrisley and MTV producer J.C. before recording for their podcast, Lowry admitted she hadn’t wanted to date men since her break up with Lopez.

“Are you looking for a guy or a girl?” J.C. asked her.

“I just think that a girl would get me more — like they have more patience and whatever,” Lowry, 26, said. “But I also compare everyone to Chris, and right now, I just… every man is like Chris. I want nothing to do with you. I had been with girls before Chris.”

Lindsie asked, “But do you feel like you don’t want to be with a man because of him?”

“I just want to stay far away from men right now,” Lowry said.

During a podcast episode in November, Lowry revealed she was dating a woman, who fans speculated was her friend Dominique Potter.

“We were friends for a year and so it kind of just turned into ,” Lowry said. “So, it’s not like she was trying to wine and dine me to ask me to be her girlfriend, you know what I mean? It more or less just happened.”

Later in the episode, the MTV star became furious when Lopez took her to court after he filed for emergency visitation rights to see their son.

During a call with a friend, while driving away from the courthouse, Lowry unleashed her worries, saying, “I had to testify against Chris. He got supervised visits for the next four weeks, and then court again on the 29th. He gets to have the baby for five hours. The thing that pisses me off is that his aunt is now the one supervising the visits, so she has to be there.”

“Why can’t the person who supervises the visits be a neutral party? I don’t trust his family to be there,” she admitted.

“Nothing makes me feel better because this could all change on the 29th,” she continued. “I’m conflicted because I got what I wanted for Lux, which is supervised visits but I’m also upset, still. There’s no winning. At the end of the day, Lux still loses because he won’t have both parents.”

Lowry has two other sons from previous relationships. She shares her oldest son Isaac with ex-boyfriend Jo Rivera, and second son Lincoln with ex-husband Javi Marroquin.

Teen Mom 2 airs Monday nights on MTV at 9 p.m. ET.

These Are the Austin Bombing Victims: 39-Year-Old Father, a Teen Boy and His Mom and 3 Others

A string of bombings around Austin, Texas, this month killed two people and injured four more — all at the hands of the same suspect, who has since died, according to police.

Here is what we know about the victims.

The Dead

The first person killed in the Austin bombings was 39-year-old Anthony House, on March 2, according to authorities. The package that exploded at his home that day was the first in the series of blasts.

Married with an 8-year-old daughter, House was the stepson of a well-known Austin pastor. He was a project manager at Texas Quarries and, as a former high school track team member, had volunteered to mentor young athletes in his free
time.

“He was always laughing,” says friend Greg Padgitt.

Draylen Mason, 17, was killed on March 12 in one of two package explosions. The blast that took his life also seriously injured his mother. A 75-year-old Hispanic woman was hurt in the second bombing.

A “most remarkable talent” on orchestral bass, Mason was enrolled at the University of Texas next year, says College of Fine Arts Dean Doug Dempster.

“His gentle confidence seemed to come from a conviction that hard work and talent was going to work for him,” Dempster says. “It did.”

Mason and House both attended the local Wesley United Methodist Church.

The Wounded

In addition to Mason’s mother and the other woman injured on March 12, two white men, 22 and 23 years old, were injured in a fourth bombing on Sunday.

A fifth bomb went off at a local FedEx facility on Tuesday. Though no one was injured, an employee was treated for ringing in her ears.

Early Wednesday, Austin police announced the suspected bomber had killed himself in an explosion as authorities were in pursuit in order to take him into custody.

The suspect’s name has not been released and a motive has not been confirmed as the investigation continues. Police do not yet know if the suspect was working alone or with accomplices.

“For the families in our community who lost loved ones or who had loved ones seriously hurt in these incidents, our hearts remain with you as you go through your healing process and your time of sorrow,” Police Chief Chief Brian Manley said at a news conference. “We stand by you and with you in your time of need.”

Terminally Ill Teen Dies Weeks After Fulfilling Last Wish to Marry His High School Sweetheart

Dustin Snyder, the terminally ill teen who fulfilled his dying wish of marrying his high school sweetheart in January, has died after a battle with a rare form of cancer.

The 19-year-old Valrico, Florida native “got his wings” on Friday according to his big sister Brittany Hails.

I love you Dustin Wade Snyder,” Hails wrote on Facebook, attached to a photo of her and Snyder. “No more suffering, god got you now.”

Snyder was given the devastating news of his terminal cancer at the beginning of January. Given just weeks to live, he told his mother Cassandra Fondahn that he wanted to tie the knot with his girlfriend, 21-year-old Sierra Siverio.

Five days later, his final wish came true after their entire community came forward to help make it happen.

“It started off with a Facebook post where Dustin’s sister asked if anyone had a tux and wedding dress,” family friend Nicole Jordan Roberts told PEOPLE at the time. “They were going to do it in their backyard and we were all going to bring food.”

Once the news spread, people started to come forward offering to donate everything from the wedding dress, venue, food, music and flower arrangements. “It was amazing and just so beautiful,” said Roberts, “but obviously very emotional.”

Brittany Hails, a guest in attendance at the impromptu ceremony, posted a photo on Facebook of the couple exchanging their vows.

The couple’s love story dated back to middle school, when they first met. But like most young romances, it fizzled out.

“They got back together two years ago before his diagnosis,” said Roberts. “Dustin knew that she was the one for him.”

The couple danced their first dance as husband and wife to Ed Sheehan’s hit “Perfect” at The Big Red Barn Venue in Oak Hill, Florida, as their closest friends and family looked on.

“This day was about being happy,” Roberts said. “I saw Sierra crying when he danced with his mom and she was crying with a smile across her face. It was hard thinking that this is the last dance she’ll have with her son.”

On June 28, 2016, just one day before his 18th birthday, Snyder was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma, a rare cancer. Doctors found a mass in his left lung and removed it, according to Roberts. After chemotherapy, Snyder was told the cancer was gone and the entire family celebrated. But just two months later, it came back. After more treatment, he was deemed in remission.

Then in December, Synder began to experience severe abdominal pain and went back to the hospital. The cancer had returned and there were now tumors in his stomach and around his pelvis.

“They told him he had just a few weeks and that there was nothing they could do,” said Roberts. “His mom told me she wanted to do as much as she could with him in the little time he had. She wants him to experience as much as he can.”

His sister started a GoFundMe page for their wedding, raising almost $ 40,000.

“He really wants to marry the woman that has stuck by his side through all the sleepless night and is now dealing with knowing he will pass any time soon,” she wrote on the page.

When Snyder left the hospital, he was put in hospice care. Despite his debilitating pain, he found the strength to stand up for his wedding ceremony.

“He was so strong,” said Roberts. “We wanted to make this the best day for the two of them — and it really was.”

Still ‘Hangry’? Teen Snowboarding Star Chloe Kim on What Her First Post-Olympics Meal Might Be

It seems there’s no rest — or food — for an Olympic gold medalist.

Minutes after earning first place in a nearly perfect performance at the women’s halfpipe event in the Water Games on Tuesday morning (Monday night stateside) — and just a few hours after saying she was getting “hangry” on the hill — 17-year-old U.S. snowboarder Chloe Kim said she still hadn’t had a bite to eat.

So what would she chow down on to celebrate her medal, if she had a second to herself?

“Burgers, fries, maybe some Hawaiian pizza,” she tells PEOPLE, her latter choice almost immediately stirring a tiny bit of controversy online from die-hard haters of pineapple and ham and tomato sauce together.

Kim knows from food, just to judge by her Twitter, where her missives the last few days have playfully riffed on her dietary habits.

Between her runs Tuesday in the halfpipe final, Kim tweeted, “Wish I finished my breakfast sandwich but my stubborn self decided not to and now I’m getting hangry.” (A follower responded, “um aren’t u on the top of a mountain rn.”)

Earlier in the week, she shared she “could be down for some ice cream rn,” triggering a mini-viral moment during which NBC polled its followers on what kind of ice cream she should get.

To that she responded, “Cookies & Cream is some good stuff. If anyone can get me some to the village thatd be dope.”

“I’m so nervous!!!!!!!” Kim tweeted on Monday, adding minutes later, “Oh and I also had 2 churros today and they were pretty bomb so if you ever get nervous go eat a churro.”

The playful posts are another piece of Kim’s rapidly increasing fame. Speaking to reporters after competing on Tuesday — as ever with her blend of calm and charisma, spiked by demonstrable enthusiasm; aka, being a teenager — she said her followers on Instagram have about doubled since she traveled to South Korea.

“My Twitter’s been blowing up because of the tweets that I tweeted yesterday,” she said, knowingly, at a news conference later Tuesday, referring to her riffs on what she was and was not eating.

Asked by PEOPLE if she was ready to be known as a foodie Internet personality, it seems Kim is not (understandably) going to leave the snow behind — but she’s not going to abandon any new fans.

She says, “I’m just here to inspire.”

Hillary Clinton, Yara Shahidi Keynote Teen Vogue Summit in L.A.

As she posed for a photo with a large group of police officers at 72 and Sunny’s Playa Vista campus in Los Angeles, Clinton told the photographer, “This is a very important group. Take a good picture.” The former Secretary of State and presidential candidate had just completed the opening keynote conversation with activist and “Black-ish” actress Yara Shahidi.
While the question-and-answer session lasted 40 minutes, it took less than seven for the discussion to shift toward the previous night’s vote on tax reform. “In the last 24 hours, the Senate passed this absolutely horrible tax-cut plan,” Clinton said, as the crowd booed in support of her sentiment. “It’s great for Donald Trump and his family. It’s great for the billionaires who support him, but it’s going to make life much harder for middle-class families and poor families. It even cuts the tax deduction for teachers who buy supplies for their classrooms and their students.”

Watch Prince William’s Tearful Meeting with Teen Who Attempted Suicide: ‘It’s So Personal’

https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js

Prince William took on a therapist-style role as he hosted a moving video with a mother who lost her son, and a teen who contemplated suicide over cyberbullying.

The women, who were the prince’s guests at Kensington Palace, spoke to the royal dad about their deep traumas following the consequences of online abuse.

The film reveals William’s motivation for his taskforce on cyberbullying. Mom Lucy Alexander and teen Chloe Hine both contributed to the taskforce’s investigation over the last 18 months.

After the birth of his son, Prince George, William heard about a young boy “who had killed himself following a vicious campaign of online bullying,” a Kensington Palace statement says. “As he looked into the issue further it was soon clear there were many similar stories from the UK and around the world.”

He was then inspired to set up the ambitious taskforce, which brings together tech and media companies.

Last year, Lucy Alexander shared the story about her son, Felix, who took his own life following online abuse. She started her own campaign to raise awareness of the issues in an effort to ensure no other parents would suffer the heartbreak of losing a child to online bullies. “ read Lucy’s story and asked her to be one of the parents to help the taskforce better understand the impact of cyberbullying,” the statement adds.

In the video, which ends with William giving both women a compassionate hug, Lucy Alexander says, “I sort of feel that Felix has given me a job to do – and my job is to make sure that we try and help as many other people like him.”

Chloe Hine, who was a member of William’s Taskforce Youth Panel, attempted to take her own life at 13 years old after being attacked online. She explains in the video that it was while writing a goodbye note that she found comfort in the ability to express what she had been unable to say in person. “On social media you can’t escape it, you’re constantly with that bully. People just turned against me because they thought ‘she said this one thing this one time so let’s all hate her for that’, and it just spiraled out of control from there.”

She continues: “It’s written down, so it’s there to look back at, time and time again. And if you’re in a negative space, that’s all you can see. You look for the negativity and you look for the cruel things.”

William brought together some of the world’s most recognizable names in media and tech, such as Apple, Facebook, Google, Twitter and online media companies, as well as children’s charities and parents, to work alongside the panel of young people to find ways to tackle cyberbullying.

On Thursday, William is set to unveil the results of his taskforce, which was chaired by tech entrepreneur Brent Hoberman.

If you or someone you know is considering suicide, please contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).

Slenderman Teen Found Not Guilty in Stabbing of Classmate by Reason of Mental Illness

One of two Wisconsin girls who stabbed a classmate in 2014 — in the name of a fictional Internet horror character known as Slenderman, they later claimed — will avoid prison after a jury determined Friday she was mentally ill at the time of the attack.

Anissa Weier, 15, was found not criminally responsible for her actions in the 2014 stabbing of classmate Payton Leutner, who was found by a passing cyclist on a bike path of a local park, fighting for her life and begging for help.

Leutner had been lured to the park on May 31, 2014, by Weier and fellow classmate Morgan Geyser. Geyser stabbed Leutner 19 times while Weier urged her on, investigators told the Associated Press. All three girls were 12 at the time.

Both Weier and Geyser told detectives they felt they had to kill Leutner, the AP reported, in an effort to become Slenderman’s servants — which they believed would protect their families from the demon’s wrath. They were both charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide and initially pleaded not guilty by reason of mental illness or defect.

• Want to keep up with the latest crime coverage? Click here to get breaking crime news, ongoing trial coverage and details of intriguing unsolved cases in the True Crime Newsletter.

Weier made her first appearance in front of a jury of eight men and eight women on Tuesday in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, where her attorney, Joseph Smith, told jurors in court that her parent’s divorce caused a depressed that descended her into madness as she latched onto Geyser.

“Anissa’s broken mind caused her to lose touch with reality,” Smith said, according to the AP. “Anissa was under the command and control of a delusional disorder.”

That disorder, defense attorney Maura McMahon added in his closing arguments Friday according to the AP, left her believing Slenderman could teleport and read her mind. He would kill her or her family if she talked about him, she claimed.

Prosecutors argued differently, the AP reported, saying Anissa and friend Morgan Geyser “knew this was wrong, they understood what they were doing was wrong.”

On Friday, 10 of 12 jurors — the minimum required by law — voted Weier mentally ill, the AP reported. The same number (though not same jurors) voted she was not criminally responsible for her actions.

Prosecutors had recommend a 10-year prison sentence out of a maximum possible 25 years if Weier was not found mentally ill. Instead, she will go to a state mental hospital and not seek to be released for three years, according to local TV station WISN.

“We are disappointed in the jury’s decision,” the Leutner family said in a statement to PEOPLE. “The decision allows the assailant to petition the court every six months and request release into the community. Their decision also forces our family to relive this horrific crime every six months wondering if they will be released.”

“The potential release of an assailant that methodically planned and executed an attack in which our little girl was stabbed 19 times puts the community and our family at risk,” the statement continued. “It is deeply disappointing.”

Geyser’s trial is scheduled to begin on Oct. 16, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported. Her attorney told WISN they are hoping to negotiate a similar plea with prosecutors as was reached with Anissa.

A spokesman for Payton’s family previously told PEOPLE that she is “a strong young woman who is excelling in school and doing many things that a teenager would do with her family and friends.”

After the boys blast air horns outside of the girls’ glamping tent in their backyard, the ladies respond by shouting, “Attack!” — which did not please their mother.

Mom of Teen Missing at Sea with Friend in 2015 Showed ‘Egregious Lapse of Judgment’ After Disappearance, Report Concludes

Investigators with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement say the mother of one of two teen boys who disappeared during a fishing trip nearly two years ago showed an “egregious lapse of judgement and failure to exercise due care.”

In a newly released report obtained by PEOPLE, the FDLE says the actions – or lack thereof – of Carlson “Carly” Black, mother of 14-year-old Austin Stephanos, “had the effect of culminating in the disappearance of both boys who are now believed to have perished.”

Austin and his friend Perry Cohen, also 14, vanished into the waters off South Florida’s Jupiter Inlet on July 24, 2015.

Investigators found probable cause that Black violated Florida State Statute 827.03, which governs abuse, aggravated abuse and neglect of a child. Top factors include evidence that Black allowed her son and Perry to travel offshore in Austin’s “minimally equipped” 19-foot 1978 SeaCraft knowing that the boat lacked basic safety devices. The report says Black also knew Perry’s parents forbade him to go offshore without an adult, waited more than two hours to notify Cohen’s parents that the boys were missing, and failed to notify emergency or law enforcement agencies.

The last known communication from either of the boys occurred at 11:24 on the morning of their disappearance, when Austin texted Black and his father, Blu Stephanos, Black’s ex-husband.

“What’s up? I am checking in. I’m just out here fishing,” the text read.

Records show Black testified that around 2:00, she had become aware of a “quick summer storm that rolled in fast … and was fierce.” Realizing that Austin hadn’t checked in again, she began calling and texting her son, as well as Diane Stephanos, Black’s ex-mother-in-law and Austin’s grandmother, whose home the boys visited to pick up tackle and supplies earlier that morning. However, records show that it wasn’t until 3:05 p.m. that she notified her ex-husband that she’d been unable to reach Austin.

“Call me buddy,” Blu texted to Austin after hearing from Black. Then again a few minutes later: “Hey buddy, got me and your mom really worried about you. Please call immediately or text back.”

With no response, Blu Stephanos set out on his own boat to search for the boys himself. It wasn’t until 4:12 p.m. that Black called Perry’s mother, Pamela Cohen, to let her know that the boys were missing. It was Pamela’s husband and Perry’s de facto stepfather, Nick Korniloff, who immediately called 911.

Black’s call to Pamela came “over two hours after they knew or should have known that the boys were in imminent danger,” investigators wrote, adding that it was Kornilloff’s call that prompted the massive, multi-agency search and rescue operation that made headlines worldwide.

RELATED VIDEO: Inside the Legal Case Involving the Two Florida Teens Lost at Sea

When reached by PEOPLE Pamela Cohen and Nick Korniloff declined to comment yet, saying only that they needed time to process the latest news. The Stephanos and Black families did not respond to calls seeking comment.

However, in an interview with investigators, Korniloff “emphatically reiterated his sincere belief that critical hours were lost due to the unexplainable delay in initiating an aggressive, coordinated and effective search and rescue operation soon after the storm,” the report reads. “He is convinced that this fact critically altered the possibilities of rescuing the boys while the opportunity still existed.”

Investigators write that the boat, “while by all accounts fundamentally sound, was not equipped with any electronic or communications equipment, such as VHF radio, GPS or EPIRB, which would have made a successful rescue infinitely more probable.”

The report pointedly adds that Black and her husband, Bubba Black, own and manage Jupiter’s Grand Slam Sport Fishing Supply, which means they likely had full knowledge of and access to marine safety and communications equipment. Plus, family members knew that the boys had narrowly avoided being caught in a storm while fishing on the same boat the previous day.

Still, FDLE officials say Black does not yet face criminal charges. Assistant State Attorney Greg Kridos concluded that, despite strong indication of poor judgment, investigators found insufficient proof to satisfy statutory language and applicable case law relating to Florida’s child neglect statute. Specifically, he says that boating on the open seas is not an “inherently dangerous activity,” which prosecutors consider a critical component in levying criminal charges of child neglect.

As it stands now, investigators have requested that the case be officially closed. However, should state officials choose to continue the case, investigators say Florida’s State Climatologist David Zierden is prepared to produce a comprehensive report detailing potentially contributing factors of the storm, and that subject matter experts with the U.S. Coast Guard or St. Petersburg’s Eckerd College Search and Rescue Team could provide expert testimony as to the effect that a delayed overdue vessel report could have on the statistical probability of a search and rescue operation.

“This would be of probative value if the State intends to prove that Ms. Black’s hours-long delay in reporting the boys’ disappearance to Perry Cohen’s parents and her failure to report the overdue vessel to the authorities in a timely manner may have diminished the likelihood of the boys being rescued safely,” the report reads.

Former State Representative Irving Slosberg, who requested the investigation, tells PEOPLE that he agrees with the FDLE’s decision to withhold charges. Now retired, he says he’ll ask his daughter, State Representative Emily Slosberg, to consider drafting legislation to improve investigation of missing-at-sea cases.

“I’m going to recommend key legislation mandating that the FDLE, rather than the FWC, investigate all cases of children missing at sea,” he says, noting that the agency has far greater resources for adequately addressing such cases.

Austin and Perry remain listed in the National Database for Missing and Exploited Children and investigators say they’ll continue to investigate any new leads.

Meanwhile, both families operate foundations that carry their sons’ names and focus on water safety education and legislation. The Perry J. Cohen Wetlands Laboratory, an outdoor classroom concept, is planned for Jupiter Community High School, where Perry would have graduated in 2019.

A Kentucky Teen Vanishes from Her Family’s Driveway — Years Later, a Relative Is Accused

In September 1999, 17-year-old Jessica Dishon apparently vanished from the driveway of her family’s home in Sheperdsville, Kentucky, and left only a few things behind in her car: a shoe, her purse, her backpack and her cell phone — with the number “9” dialed.

Dishon’s body was reportedly found more than two weeks later at a nearby dumping ground. Authorities said she had been beaten, strangled and “violently sexually assaulted,” according to the Louisville Courier-Journal.

Though a neighbor was identified as a suspect and charged in her death, a judge declared a mistrial and the charge was later dismissed, the Courier-Journal reports.

Answers remained elusive for years. But beginning in 2013, the case gained momentum, until authorities revealed the killer was a relative: her uncle Stanley Dishon.

In January 2015, Stanley Dishon reportedly entered an Alford plea to a lesser charge of first-degree manslaughter in her death, and records show he remains behind bars. (An Alford plea is a kind of guilty plea in which the defendant maintains his innocence.)

The case’s twists and turns will be featured in Thursday night’s episode of Cold Case Files on A&E.

“The murder of Jessica Dishon is particularly terrifying because it exposes the greatest fears of any parent,” says Ari Mark, president of the series’ production company, AMPLE.

“One, maybe the law can’t protect your children; and two, maybe your kids aren’t even safe in their own homes.”

In an exclusive clip from the episode, Dishon’s father, Mike Dishon, recounts the family’s distress in the aftermath of her disappearance.

“It was kind of hard to come back home when Jessica was still missing,” he says. “We couldn’t sleep.”

Mike also recounts a moment when he thought his son had heard Jessica near their home, calling for help.

“So I run in my bedroom, I got my gun and out the door I went,” he says. “I went to find her.”

When Gabriel Silvan, a 17-year-old student at Kentwood High School in Covington, Washington, tweeted T-Pain last year for inspiration for his senior yearbook quote, he didn’t think the hip-hop artist would actually respond.

One day after tweeting his request ― “give me a senior quote please:)” ― T-Pain obliged

Silvan, surprised that T-Pain took the time to answer, sent the singer an excited shoutout ― “YOOOOOO TPAIN!!!!” ― then submitted the suggestion to his yearbook staff.

Six months later, Kentwood High School’s yearbooks came out.

“I’ve been a fan of T-Pain since I got my first MP3 player in 2007,” Silvan told HuffPost. “I never thought he would [respond] but when did I was ecstatic.”

While T-Pain’s suggested quote sounds like something he would croon in Auto-Tune, it’s not actually an original quote. Those words of wisdom were made famous by 1970s Major League Baseball star Oscar Gamble.

The quote was in reference to the “chaos within the New York Yankees clubhouse,” according to the book “Baseball in Montgomery” by Clarence Watkins.

Without context, many people were confused about what T-Pain’s message meant.

Nevertheless, Silvan submitted T-Pain’s quote to the school’s yearbook staff.

This week, it made it to press.

Silvan tweeted T-Pain a picture of the finished product to let the singer know that he is immortalized in the 2016-17 edition of Kentwood High’s yearbook.

In response, T-Pain honored Silvan with a laugh-cry emoji and a slow clap.

“This is the kind of shit I live for,” the singer tweeted to the 17-year-old. He also congratulated him for the major accomplishment ― the tweet, not the whole graduating high school thing.

Still high off of the energy from T-Pain’s reaction, Silvan shared the precious moment on his secondary Twitter account and it quickly went viral.

He called his yearbook quote a product of “a series of very very very very fortunate events.”

While many people thought the T-Pain yearbook quote was great, a lot of Twitter users pointed out that T-Pain ripped off Gamble’s quote.

“Give Oscar Gamble the respect he deserves,” one person wrote to Silvan. Another person defended T-Pain by saying that the singer should “sang it, so he can make it clear.”

Silvan doesn’t mind if T-Pain borrowed the quote from the former ballplayer. He’s just grateful that his favorite hip-hop star reached out to him.

“I don’t care [because] it’s a little unique and [T-Pain] gave it to me over Twitter,” he told HuffPost.

Now Silvan is learning to deal with his 15 minutes of viral fame before he graduates next week.

“It’s wild to go viral. I’m all over Instagram and stuff, but I’m trying to be humble,” he said. “But with all the fame and graduation so close, it’s hard not to show off.”

So far, his plan to stay humble seems to be working ― a little.

See Tim Tebow’s Surprise Prom Dance With Teen On ‘Tonight Show’

Tim Tebow told host Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show” Wednesday that he never went to the prom. “I was always playing baseball, basketball or football,” he said. “We were always so busy.”

But the former NFL quarterback and aspiring major leaguer clearly has a soft spot for the school dance ritual.

His foundation organizes a “Night to Shine” prom in several countries before Valentine’s Day for teenagers with special needs. One woman asked him to attend but Tebow was too busy flying to many of the events that night.

Well, he made it up to her on national television. The athlete called out Judy Adams from the “Tonight Show” audience and asked, “I was wondering if maybe I could have a dance?”

A delighted Judy stepped down to the stage. Tebow put on a wrist corsage for her, the two exchanged a hug, and off they went to trip the light fantastic.

Nice.

Anna Sui Gears Up for London Exhibition, Secures Fall Launch for Teen Home Decor With PBteen

OPERATION ANNA: The upcoming opening of “The World of Anna Sui” at the Fashion and Textile Museum in London is only one of the many projects Anna Sui has going on this year.
While not the exhibition’s official catalogue, Abrams will publish “The World of Anna Sui” book on May 30. Sui will also roll out a home decor collection geared for teenagers with PBteen, a Williams-Sonoma brand, in September.
In the meantime, the crunch is on before the May 26 opening of what will be the American designer’s first retrospective in the U.K. More than 100 mannequins will be suited up in items from her archives, which are in the process of being shipped to the London museum that was started by Zandra Rhodes. Staffers at Sui’s West 39th Street offices are busy packing up the “ephemeron, accessories and tons of stuff” that will be featured in the show, which will runs through Oct. 1, said Sui’s longtime righthand-man Thomas Miller. “All the mannequins are fully accessorized from head-to-toe. Anna just piles on the accessories so it’s a lot,” Miller said.
While Sui is good friends with Rhodes, the roots of the exhibition stemmed from her meeting the museum’s director. A few

Teen With Down Syndrome Got Asked To Prom In The Sweetest Way

Sure, it’s a little cheesy but this just might be the most thoughtful prom proposal ever.

On Sunday, the Facebook page Love What Matters posted a heart-meltingly cute video of 18-year-old Shaedon Wedel asking his best friend’s little sister to the prom.

Carlie Wittman, 15, has Down syndrome and her favorite chips are Doritos. Naturally, Shaedon tried to work some nacho cheese-inspired comedy into his prom invite.

“I decided on the Doritos theme because I have known her for seven years and there has not been a day that I have not seen her eat Doritos,” the high school senior told The Huffington Post. “She absolutely loves them!”

Here’s the truly inspired shirt he made:

“I know I’m NACHO typical Dorito,” the shirt reads. “But I’m going to be CHEESY and ask: WILL YOU GO TO PROM WITH ME?”

It’s fair to say Carlie was thrilled about the punny proposal. Just look at her reaction:

The pair are scheduled to go to the senior prom on April 22. The sweet moment has garnered more than 108,000 “likes” and 32,000 shares on Facebook ― and that number keeps climbing.

“We taped it because she loves to be on the camera; we didn’t expect this to go so viral,” Shaedon said. “It has been a very neat and exciting experience.”

Initially, Shaedon, Carlie, and Carlie’s brother Carson ― Shaedon’s best friend ― were going to go to prom as a group. But after Carson met his girlfriend during the school year, Shaedon moved forward with his plans to ask Carlie.

“She says she wants to be a princess like Cinderella and it would mean everything to make her feel that way,” he told HuffPost. “The Whitmans are basically my second family and have been so kind and nurturing to me. My main goal is to make Carlie’s prom as special as possible.”

Nacho about you, but we’d say Shaedon is well on his way to doing just that.

Seth Meyers Hilariously Explains Holiday-Themed Teen Slang

Seth Meyers admits that it’s hard to keep up with ever-evolving teen slang.

So the “Late Night” host decided to explain on Thursday exactly what some of the new holiday-themed terms actually mean.

Well, terms that his team had created ― such as “Ball Drop,” “The Holy Land,” “Chronic-Kuh” and “Daly Double.”

“I’m about to turn 43 years old. I’m married, I have a kid,” Meyers said. “But nothing makes me feel older than when I don’t know or understand the new slang terms teenagers are using.”

Check it out in the clip above.

Missing Teen Was Killed as He Pleaded for His Life Because He Smoked Friend’s Weed: Police

A teenage boy faces kidnapping and murder charges in Alaska where, on Friday, authorities recovered the battered, bullet-riddled remains of his friend weeks after the latter boy went missing, PEOPLE confirms.

According to court records, 16-year-old Erick Almandinger allegedly confessed to involvement in the killing of his friend David Grunwald. David, also 16, was last seen alive on Nov. 13 after he reportedly dropped his girlfriend off at her home.

Police claim Erick revealed his motivation for the slaying as he was being questioned by detectives.

“The only motive that Almandinger indicated was present during the event was that had smoked all his weed,” alleges a police affidavit, which was obtained by PEOPLE.

“He said they didn’t get any money,” the affidavit alleges. “Almandinger showed very little if any remorse for his actions and only shed tears when advised his ‘friends’ had talked to the police,” it further claims.

David’s remains were found in a wooded portion of Palmer, Alaska. He was beaten before being shot, according to court records.

His vehicle, which had been torched, had been discovered the day after his disappearance, and friends and family quickly began a search, according to the Alaska Dispatch News.

Describing his death as “devastating,” David’s parents (who could not immediately be reached) said in an email to the Dispatch News that “the kidnapping and murder of our son was unnecessary, weak minded, cowardice and shameful.”

“David was a sweet, caring and respecting boy,” they wrote. “He was viciously attacked and murdered.”

A November Night Turns Violent

The newly filed affidavit in David’s death alleges in detail, based on statements from Erick and other evidence, how the boy was attacked and then shot — as he pleaded for his life — after meeting to hang out with other teens that November night.

Court records allege David and Erick were drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana in a 1971 camper trailer with a third, unnamed teen on Nov. 13. The third teen, identified only as “D.J.,” allegedly asked Erick to fetch a .40-caliber semi-automatic handgun from inside his house. He did, according to court records, bringing the firearm back to the trailer, where all three teens inspected and handled it.

At some point in the trailer, “D.J. bludgeoned with the pistol,” the affidavit alleges. The injured boy was then driven to nearby Butte, Alaska.

Only partially conscious, David asked to be taken to his girlfriend’s home, according to the affidavit, and once the group arrived at the woods, he pleaded for his life. While Erick allegedly first told investigators it was D.J. who shot David, he later said it was another teenager, identified as “A.B.,” who fired the fatal round.

Court records claim Erick also told a friend that he had killed David, recounting how he beat and then shot the teen. So far, only he has been charged with murder. He remains in custody and has not yet entered a plea. Records show he had not retained an attorney as of Monday night.

Residents at Erick’s home declined to be interviewed, when reached by the Dispatch News.

A Frantic Search

Hours after he vanished, David’s father phoned Alaska State Troopers, concerned about his son. David’s father also told troopers he believed his son may have traveled that night to Anchorage, Alaska, with Erick.

Police searched for David’s vehicle that same evening, but it wasn’t found until the next morning. Someone had called 911 after finding the truck, and investigators spent the next two days trying to track Erick down.

When they finally caught up with him, the teen allegedly denied knowing anything about David’s disappearance.

• Pick up PEOPLE’s special edition True Crime Stories: Cases That Shocked America, on sale now, for the latest on Casey Anthony, JonBenét Ramsey and more.

Erick allegedly told police he hadn’t seen his friend in two to three weeks, according to court records. He also provided police with an alibi, claiming he had attended a party in Anchorage the night that David vanished. But detectives secured a search warrant for Erick’s home, seizing the suspect’s tablet. Data from the device contradicted Erick’s claims he traveled to Anchorage the night David went missing.

Investigators — armed with this new evidence — spoke again with Erick, who allegedly acknowledged lying about his whereabouts the night his friend disappeared, according to court records.

In addition, police searching the camper trailer detected “an overwhelming odor of bleach” as they entered the vehicle. Additional testing was performed on the camper, and blood evidence was recovered from inside the vehicle.

Erick allegedly later admitted trying to clean the camper trailer of any physical evidence, court records show.

The investigation into David’s death continues, and anyone with information is urged to call police at 907-352-5401.

Seducing the Sheriff’s Daughter (Western, Teen, Cowboy)

Seducing the Sheriff’s Daughter (Western, Teen, Cowboy)

The sheriff stared in amazement as he saw his daughter, naked and on her hands and knees, being railed by his most-hated outlaw.”Being the sheriff’s daughter in a small Western town is tough, especially when every guy that Callie brings to her bed is dragged away by her stern father! Despite her good looks, the eligible menfolk of the town have learned to stay away, after the last guy was dragged out literally from between her legs. But now, Callie has heard that her father’s biggest enemy, the outlaw Calvera, is back in town. And Callie knows exactly what to do about it – she’s going to sleep with the grizzled outlaw, to stick it to her dad! And she has a good guess as to where Calvera is hiding out. When Calvera first spots the girl trying to sneak into his hideout, he believes that she’s just another town girl. Callie doesn’t enlighten the outlaw as to her true identity as the sheriff’s daughter – not until she’s lowering herself onto his naked form, at least! Warning: This wild Western contains scenes of hot, steamy sex between an outlaw and the sheriff’s daughter, and is meant only for adult readers! Excerpt: Most of the time, I love my father. But sometimes, he can be nigh insufferable. Like now, for instance.”Daddy, stop it!” I shouted, ineffectually clutching the sheets up to me naked chest. Despite my shrieking, however, my father, standing tall in his cowboy boots and shiny spurs, didn’t stop dragging the man who had been sharing my bed away. The man’s yells mingled with the clink of my father’s spurs, forcing me to have to scream to be heard.”Listen, Callie, my rules are simple!” my father shouted, as he yanked my lover out of the bed and dragged him, still clothed only in his smallclothes, out of the bedroom. “As long as you live in my house, you will not have relations with other men!”My now-ex lover groaned as he landed heavily on the floor. “Dang, this is no way for a sheriff to treat his townsfolk!” he cried out, as my dad dragged him out the door by

MTV and Teen Pregnancy

MTV and Teen Pregnancy

In 2009, 16 and Pregnant premiered on MTV, closely followed by the spinoffs Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2. Because of their controversial portrayals of teenage mothers, the shows have received ongoing media attention. While some argue that the programs could play a factor in reducing the number of teen pregnancies, others claim the shows exploit young women and glamorize their situations. Among these debates, there have been surprisingly few in-depth discourses that discuss the roles such shows have on teenage audiences. In MTV and Teen Pregnancy: Critical Essays on 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom, contributors from a variety of backgrounds and expertise offer potent essays about these programs. Divided into four parts, the book tackles the controversial representations of teen pregnancy from various disciplines. Part I explores gendered social norms and the shows’ roles as either educational resources or idealized depictions of teenage motherhood. Part II prompts readers to consider the intersections of race, class, gender, and the social and cultural power structures often glossed over in these programs. Part III focuses on teenage fathers, the portrayal of masculinity, and “good” vs. “bad” parents. Part IV draws from TVs representations of reality to discuss the impact of these shows on the viewing audience. This section includes a narrative from a teen mother who argues that the shows do not accurately reflect the life she leads. As the debates about 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom continue, this collection provides a valuable critical discourse to be used both inside and outside the classroom. Those engaged in courses on gender and women’s studies, as well as media studies, social work, and family and childhood development, will find MTV and Teen Pregnancy especially insightful-as will those involved in community outreach programs, not to mention teens and young mothers themselves.

Lots of Beautiful Hair at Teen Choice, Some With Splash of Color

Teen Choice delivered! Rita Ora added a light breeze of pink to her signature platinum blonde tresses and Britney Spears, honored as a style icon, splashed her ends with blue and purple to create what might even be described as an ombre.

All the stars collecting awards in Los Angeles for best movies, acting and music were, of course, beautiful. Most of them stuck with recent trends of natural looking cuts and colors with subtle, soft color transitions. We didn’t really see any big departures from what’s been popular.

Winning an award as a TV comedy actress, “Glee” star Lea Michele stayed with her long layers and caramel highlights. What can you say? It works!

Teen Choice for best TV drama went to the cast of “Pretty Little Liars.” Accepting the award were cast stars including Lucy Hale, who does a lot of long brown layered wavy hair, recently went short with a bob, but then had extensions to do a long ponytail in a cool, slick-back look to accept her award with other cast members. Also going with a center part and slick-back look from the “Pretty Little Liars” cast were Janel Parrish and Shay Mitchell.

Actress and singer Zendaya (star of Disney’s “Undercover KC”) went with a ballerina bun high on top to walk the Teen Choice blue carpet. She changes the style of her dark, brown hair often, and the results are nearly always fantastic.

So, no new trends emerged but we saw lots of beautiful hair. Love those kids! Love change!

I Transitioned From Female to Male as a Teen. Here’s My Story

Lots of people are confused by me. First I was a girl who liked girls, and then a boy who liked girls, and now—finally—a dude who likes other dudes. I get it—it is kind of confusing. The best way I’ve heard it explained: Gender is who you want to sleep as, and sexuality is who you want to sleep with. It took me some time to figure out that last part.

Teen Who Was Told She Would Never Speak Is Now A Talented Singer

This young woman has something to sing about.

Born with a birth defect, Amber Simone Chinn was not expected to breathe, much less speak, on her own. But now, the 19-year-old is a powerful singer, and a video of her performing has gone viral, WGRZ reported.

Chinn was born with craniosynostosis — a defect in which the joints between the skull bones close prematurely — which led to a procedure at the age of 6 months, from which she was not expected to fully recover, the news outlet reported. Chinn’s parents were told she would never talk, but she beat the odds, calling her recovery a miracle.

At a friend’s graduation party earlier this month, Chinn was caught on camera singing by the pool. The video of her performing “The Worst,” by Jhene Akio, was uploaded to Facebook and has received over 2 million views as of Tuesday.

“It’s hard to grasp,” Chinn told WGRZ. “I have confidence, but I never thought me sitting by the pool, a random video would be so viral.”

Now, the young musician is a student at SUNY Buffalo State and is working with local music producers on an original song. On her GoFundMe page to create a music label, Chinn cites her performance of “The Worst” as a “music video about women empowerment and the need to confront and walk away from domestic abuse.”

Last December, another young woman shared a small musical moment to address a larger issue. Single mom Kimberly Henson uploaded a video of herself singing Sam Smith’s version of Whitney Houston’s “How Will I Know” to her baby daughter. Overnight, she reached more than 20 million people on Facebook alone, WLTX reported. In January, she released an original song called “Tiny Hearts” to share her experiences as a single parent.

“I may have taken a different path and missed little things here and there,” Henson told The Huffington Post. “But coming home and being a little person’s superhero means a lot of more in the end.”

Teen Dupes New York Times Into Reporting That Dylann Roof Was A Brony

Amid the whirlwind that is a national breaking news story, one British teen wanted to see whether a major newspaper would publish utter lies.

Benjamin Wareing, 16, told a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter with The New York Times that he knew Dylann Roof, the suspected shooter in the killing of nine people in a Charleston church last week. He told the Times that Roof’s racist manifesto that surfaced online was eerily similar to a Tumblr page Roof posted on, and noted that the alleged murderer is a fan of “My Little Pony.”

But as Fusion points out, Wareing made it all up. He never knew Roof, never saw a Tumblr page — and never provided proof of its existence to the Times — and certainly didn’t know whether Roof was a Brony.

Wareing had tricked The Gray Lady’s Frances Robles into reporting this:

Benjamin Wareing, a blogger in Britain, said the writings are nearly identical to blog posts that Mr. Roof posted several months ago on a separate Tumblr page. Mr. Wareing was preparing to write an essay on the dangers of Tumblr and troubled youths, so he took notes on the writings.

“He just made really stupid but obvious statements about people from other races,” Mr. Wareing said in an email. “He would call black citizens ‘nuggets’ and such. He never made direct threats at all on Tumblr, at least it didn’t seem like that, just weird ramblings about how he felt he ‘didn’t fit in.’”

Among his writings were images of 9/11 “memes” and of “My Little Pony,” Mr. Wareing said.

The paragraphs were only available for a few hours, and Robles was working furiously to update the story during a time when every news outlet was trying to get exclusive information. Fusion reports that she updated her story more than a dozen times in 12 hours. But Wareing’s trick shows just how hungry publications are, and how quickly reporters — and their editors — will grab at sexy information and overlook the verification process.

Wareing said on his own blog that a friend of his in South Carolina — who was a “friend” of Roof’s on Facebook but didn’t know the suspect — was getting hassled by reporters on social media who were eager for a scoop. So Wareing gave the Times’ Robles some juicy information: the Tumblr anecdote, which was republished by several other news outlets.

“I told her that Dylann Roof had some ‘elusive’ and mysterious Tumblr page in which he posted his deepest thoughts,” Wareing wrote. “Without providing any screenshots or ANY proof of its existence other than my own word, the reporter published it as fact. Oops.”

Wareing also published email correspondence he had with Robles to back up his claims.

Wareing told The Huffington Post that no Times fact-checkers reached out before or after Robles’ story was published. He said her final message to him said, “A few readers are telling me you were a hoax…”

“People could think that this was a joke or a lark, but it wasn’t,” Wareing told Fusion, noting that he wanted to be a reporter some day. “Our ultimate goal of this was to see if a reporter would publish something that was completely untrue.”

The Times story has since been corrected and the following note attached:

Editors’ Note: June 22, 2015
An earlier version of this article included a reference to a British blogger who claimed that Dylann Roof’s manifesto was similar to earlier blog entries Mr. Roof had written. That passage was removed from the article after questions were raised about the blogger and his claims. Subsequently, the blogger said in a post online that he had fabricated the information about Mr. Roof’s supposed earlier blog entries.

The New York Times declined to comment further.

Dan Williams, Oklahoma Teen, Surprises All 1,076 Girls At His School With Valentine’s Day Gifts

Wanting every girl at his high school to feel loved on Valentine’s Day, one big-hearted Oklahoma teen decided to surprise all of them with cards and candy this year — a total of 1,076 girls.

According to KFOR, Dan Williams, a student at Edmond High School in Edmond, Oklahoma, had to work all summer to raise enough money for the surprise gifts. “To know that someone cares about them, that’s the best feeling in the world I think,” he told the news outlet.

(Story continues below)

Though Williams intended the gifts to be anonymous, he was reportedly unable to keep his identity a secret for long.

He’s since won the praise of his classmates — and the school itself.

On Valentine’s Day, Edmond High School, whose mascot is a bulldog, honored the young man with this tweet:

Dan Williams: You’re a champ.

No, The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Isn’t Bad for Teen Girls

“Wait, you WATCH that?”

Last night was the 2014 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in London, where 47 models, including the famed Victoria’s Secret Angels, strutted the runway in a immense spread of fairytale undergarments. They’ve done it every year for nearly 20 years (I’ve been watching since I was 12), and every year, that runway goes right into a pile of people who don’t like it and don’t think I, a teenage girl, should either.

When I look at the Victoria’s Secret Angels, I see gorgeous, happy women, who work for a company that sticks with many of them for the long haul — a rarity in this industry. Sure, they’re thin, but they’re not fragile — they’re toned. I mean, legs like that don’t come from eating carrot sticks and water. They look like they really enjoy what they do. I mean, who wouldn’t? I’d like to try and frown when I’m strapped into that much sparkling wing acreage. Watching the show is a glimpse into their world. You get these little moments that are usually confined to the pages of a catalogue or a six-foot poster in your mall. Taylor Swift sings a song that perfectly describes your life in the background, and Hozier smizes at you (and everyone else watching, but it was a special moment). It’s a fun fantasy. That’s why it bothers me so much when people use it as a negative factor in the body image conversation, especially targeted at teenage girls.

I’m a 17-year-old girl. A lot of people would tell you that puts me in the prime “issues with her body” range. I shouldn’t be inspired by these charismatic and successful women and their amazing careers in an industry they love. Because I enjoy the show, I’m obviously some sort of bimbo who doesn’t understand that I’m being negatively influenced, and that everything they do is fake and that they’re just famous for looking good in underwear. I shouldn’t appreciate the hard work it takes to do what they do and attempt to emulate that work ethic. I most certainly should not feel serious confidence and girl power after watching them do their thing for an hour in beautiful underwear. I should probably be looking at them and comparing my ankles to theirs, and be trying to stretch my spine three inches, and destroying myself in a gym attempting to recreate their abs. I should feel incomplete, like I am not measuring up. My self-confidence should be shattered every time Karlie’s faces beams at me while I sit on my couch eating kettle corn. I shouldn’t feel content with my body and the way I am, because I don’t look like these Angels. Or at least, that’s what the media is telling me and other girls (and boys) my age and beyond. If they’re telling you that too, let me give you a piece of advice: ignore it. I say this thing a lot because it applies to a lot of things, including loving the Victoria’s Secret Angels: If you love it, own it. Taylor Swift agrees with me on this. (Probably.)

Strangers Rally Together To Rescue Teen Driver Trapped In Flipped-Over SUV In River

These teens are lucky to be alive.

Three young men, ages 16 and 17, were in an SUV, speeding down a highway in Salt Lake City last Thursday, according to Fox13. In an attempt to avoid cars that were stopped at a traffic light, the driver swerved around the other vehicles and crashed into the Jordan River, with the truck landing on its roof, Deseret News reported.

“I saw it. The vehicle exploded in front of me right there, just pieces and parts. It’s like nothing you would see in your entire life,” witness Brian Adams told Fox13 of the wreck.

Strangers then jumped into the river, flipped the SUV over and helped save the teens.

We have three teenage boys that went to the hospital. It would have been entirely different if those people hadn’t been here,” Lt. Brian Burvis of the Salt Lake City Police Department told ABC4.

When the truck crashed, a couple ran to the river and fished the passengers out, according to the outlet. More people started piling in the water to help save the teen driver, who was stuck behind the steering wheel, and had been underwater for a few minutes, KUTV reported.

The bystanders were able to turn the truck over to its upright position to get the driver above water, while the fire department was able to remove the teen from the vehicle, the outlet reported.

Ten people jumped down into the water. Just bystanders that saw it happen, just flipped it over so that he wouldn’t die,” Adams told ABC4 of the effort to save the driver.

The three teens were brought to the hospital and are expected to make a full recovery, thanks, in part, to the strangers’ teamwork.

It was just very, very lucky,” Burvis told Deseret News.

Teen Cosplayer Sexually Assaulted And Beaten Near Comic-Con, Police Say

A teen cosplayer who had been attending Comic-Con in San Diego was attacked, sexually assaulted and left bloody and unconscious on the side of a road early Sunday, according to reports.

Police said late Tuesday that they had arrested a 29-year-old man at the nearby Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina, and charged him with sexual contact with a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The suspect has not been identified.

“The victim, a juvenile female, was transported to a hospital for evaluation and treatment,” the Port of San Diego Harbor Police said in a statement posted on G33K-HQ. “This investigation is ongoing.”

Earlier in the day, the victim’s parents posted a plea for information that was widely circulated on Facebook and Twitter as well as in fan forums and blogs.

The victim, who had been dressed in a creative take on a Roger Rabbit costume, was out with friends on Saturday night but left them after a disagreement, Raw Story reported.

Messages from family and friends posted on social media indicate the victim is currently in the ICU and may be suffering from bleeding in the brain. However, a more recent post on Facebook says “each day she is getting better.”

The Huffington Post is not linking to these posts so as to avoid revealing the identity of the victim.

It’s not yet clear whether the suspect attended Comic-Con, although the hotel where he was arrested is the event’s official headquarters and as a result is popular among attendees.

The assault has led to renewed calls in the cosplay community for a strict and more formal anti-harassment policy at the annual comic book and movie convention. Earlier this week, the group Geeks for CONsent presented a petition calling for a new policy, saying some women — especially those who attend in costume — report being being groped, harassed and insulted.

This Tribute To Late Teen YouTube Star Zach Sobiech Is Guaranteed To Make You Cry

Some people continue to inspire, even after they’ve left us.

That can be said for Zach Sobiech, the 18-year-old singer and songwriter whose YouTube hit, “Clouds,” went viral last December and, at one point, reached No. 1 on iTunes.

Sobiech lost his battle to a rare form of cancer this past May, but his legacy has continued to touch the hearts of people across the globe.

On Thursday night, a choir of about 5,000 singers came together to sing a triumphant version of “Clouds” at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn. The event, held one year after “Clouds” hit YouTube, was organized by local radio station, KS95.

In the crowd were Sobiech’s parents, Laura and Rob Sobiech, and his girlfriend, Amy Adamle.

Everybody came together, and it was for Zach, and it was for everyone in the room,” Rob Sobiech told the Pioneer Press. “And it was for other kids who have cancer.”

“I know [Zach is] smiling right now,” Adamle added, “just like all of us are.”

Watch the incredible performance of “Clouds” in the video above.
