Blac Chyna on Trying to Keep Up with the Kardashians — & Why She Moved Out: ‘I Wasn’t Going to Be Disrespected’

Though they dated for more than a year and were engaged and welcomed a child together, Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian did not spend much of their relationship living under the same roof.

“We lived together for two months in the beginning, but he stressed me out every day,” Chyna tells PEOPLE of Kardashian, 30, in the current issue of PEOPLE. “And I said, ‘One thing you won’t do is stress me out with this baby in my belly.’ “

Sitting in the living room of her six-bedroom Los Angeles home, the model and Lashed Cosmetics entrepreneur opens up about her relationship with Kardashian and a period during which she moved in with him while he was living with his half-sister Kylie Jenner, who famously dated Tyga, the father of Chyna’s 4-year-old son King Cairo.

For more from Chyna — including a look at baby Dream’s first official photo shoot – pick up the latest issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday

“About a month after Dream was born, I moved in with Rob at Kylie’s house for about a week. I put my pride aside — and I’m very prideful. I was like, ‘You know what? I actually want to be with this person. So guess what, Chyna, you need to go live in this lady’s house,’ which is his sister,” says Chyna. ” ‘There’s no bad blood or whatever, so be a family and figure it out.’ I moved in and one week later was like, ‘You know what? I don’t deserve this. I’m out. I’m not going to be disrespected.’ ”

Watch People Features: Blac Chyna, available now, on the new People/Entertainment Weekly Network (PEN). Go to PEOPLE.com/PEN, or download the PEN app on your favorite mobile or connected TV device.

Chyna and Kardashian remained in each other’s lives after their split in December 2016 but after Kardashian took to Instagram and Twitter on July 5 to post nude photos of her and accuse her of cheating and using drugs, Chyna was granted a restraining order on July 10 and now says she will only be “co-parenting” with him in the future.

“I’m glad I’m relieved of , but damn, why did I have to get relief in this way?” she says. Though through it all, she thinks she’s found a silver lining: “I feel like God does certain things — not to hurt you, but to show you your true strength,” she says. “I feel like, if I can come out of this, I can come out of anything.”

No, Amal Clooney Wasn’t ‘Showing Off Her Baby Bump’ At The UN

International human rights lawyer Amal Clooney gave an emotional speech Thursday in New York City urging the United Nations to pursue an investigation into crimes committed by the self-titled Islamic State, including genocide, rape and kidnapping.

However, some publications chose to focus on her “baby bump,” instead.

Clooney, who is expecting twins with husband George Clooney, made headlines in multiple publications not for the urgent and harrowing situation involving the militant group or the young Yazidi victim she is representing, but rather for how her pregnant figure looked in a yellow dress.

Thankfully, people on Twitter were around to call them out.

Time magazine was the subject of much of the criticism for its tweet: “Amal Clooney shows off her baby bump at the United Nations.” The tweet linked to a People story featured on Time’s millennial-focused Motto site, which was updated early Friday to include details beyond her fashion choice.

Nicole Kidman Says Keith Urban ‘Wasn’t Interested’ When They First Met

It was love at first sight for Nicole Kidman when she first met husband Keith Urban back in 2005. But for Urban, it took a little longer ― four months to be exact.

Kidman told the story of the fateful night she met the country singer more than a decade ago at G’Day USA ― a Los Angeles gala for Australians where they were both being honored ― on an episode of “Ellen” that aired Thursday. The pair even have a picture of their first encounter.

“We met that night. The craziest thing is to have a photo of when you first met,” she said. “Someone just took that photo and sent it to us. I remember thinking I had such a crush on him. And he wasn’t interested in me.”

An incredulous DeGeneres just couldn’t believe that. But Kidman insisted: “It’s true! He didn’t call me for four months.”

When pressed about why it took so long for Urban to pick up the phone, Kidman replied with a smile:

“There’s certain things ― and I think anyone in a marriage would agree with this ― you just don’t. You just leave that. We’re here now and it’s all good. We don’t need to hash up all that stuff.”

Based on an interview Urban did with Oprah Winfrey back in 2010, it seems that he was just intimidated by Kidman at first.

“I introduced myself and she was very pleasant and everything,” he said. “And there was that moment of waiting for the next thing to be said, which I didn’t know if I was bothering her or what was going on. So I just sort of said, ‘Well nice to meet you.’ And I walked away.”

“And then I thought, was I supposed to say more?” Urban continued. “A friend of mine said, ‘I think she wanted to talk to you.” Me? Why would she want to talk to me? So I went back over and apologized and we just started talking and really clicked.”

The couple, who are now parents to daughters Sunday and Faith, celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in June. These days, Urban is undeniably smitten with his wife.

“Meeting [Nicole] and getting married wasn’t life-changing, it was life-beginning,” he said on CBS’ “Sunday Morning” in May. “It was literally, like, ‘Okay, life starts.’”

It Wasn’t Just A Hookup To Me, Miss Piggy

Monday morning.

People thinking about the mountain of work ahead of them.

Or the exact location of Kit Harington.

Or thigh-brows.

I can’t stop thinking about her. About Friday night.

I hooked up (twice) with Miss Piggy over the weekend. It’s the happiest I’ve been in years. And sure, she’s a pig. But she does people things, like acting in movies and getting jealous. She’s obviously not a pig like the pigs we eat. I mean, last I checked, people wear dresses and karate-chop their enemies. So, no, I don’t feel bad for taking a pig out for adult drinks.

The only thing that makes me feel bad is that Miss Piggy thinks it was a harmless hook-up. And that she’s still hung up on her frog ex-boyfriend, Kermit. I have to deal with that. I’m not mad. Just disappointed.

Everybody knows that Miss Piggy just got out of a very long relationship. And everybody knows that her ex is already seeing somebody new. So of course her emotions are raw, and she’s entitled to go out and hook up with dudes.

I’ve just never been a rebound. I’m usually the boyfriend. Or whatever it’s called when you get nothing and you just go home to watch “Seinfeld.”

Miss Piggy and I had been texting a lot toward the end of her breakup. I’m not proud of secretly flirting with a pig-woman with a boyfriend, but I never met Kermit so I didn’t care about his feelings. If I’m being totally honest, I think Kermit’s a coward and a loser and I was happy to take his girl. He’s obviously not good enough for Miss Piggy and he has no problem parading his younger pig around even though he knows it hurts Miss Piggy. Asshole tries to pretend like that’s an OK thing to do and he’s just this neurotic sweetheart. He’s not. And if I had it my way, Kermit would get eaten by a snake.

Anyway, Miss Piggy was feeling vulnerable about Kermit moving on so fast. So we met up at Night of Joy in Brooklyn. Great cocktails. Never gets crowded. Groovy tunes.

We had many tequilas and eventually started talking about whether this new pig, Denise, was hotter than Miss Piggy. I assured her that Denise is hot garbage. I told Miss Piggy, “You’re a catch! Any guy would be down to clown any time you wanted!” I told her that I totally would. I told her I think about it all the time. In the shower. On dates with other people. Most of the time, really. I told Miss Piggy that when I need a reason to get out of bed in the morning, I think about what it would be like to have sex with her on a hammock on Muppet Treasure Island.

That’s when I knew I had probably weirded her out.

Maybe it was the sexy lighting. Maybe the Cuervo. But instead of storming out, she put her hoof on my hand and gently rolled it around. It’s hard for pigs to hold things like people. Then she nudged her hoof underneath my hand. I looked up and we locked eyes.

John Trowbridge: “You’re amazing.”

Miss Piggy: “Who? Moi?”

Friendship be DAMNED! We Uber’d it back to my place. Out of respect for Miss Piggy, I wont go into too much detail about what happened next. But I will say this: I’m never having sex with a human woman again.

The next morning, I woke up to her staring in my eyes. Then we had sex again (for way longer).

Then I got up to shower, discovering she had left my place when I returned from the bathroom.

We haven’t spoken since.

Realistically, it wasn’t going to work for many reasons. She’s a cultural icon, and I’m just a comedy writer for The Huffington Post. Another big reason is that Miss Piggy is actually a pig-puppet controlled by a human person that I’ve never exchanged words with. Not a talking pig. I think I should’ve said that earlier. That’s a huge element to this story that deserves a lot more attention. It’s the main reason, actually. And it makes a lot more sense than me falling for a talking pig. A lot of expensive equipment was stolen from my apartment and I know that Miss Piggy couldn’t lift it by herself. I assume it was the person who was controlling the Miss Piggy puppet. I guess I let all this happen because I wanted to believe that Miss Piggy was a real person who had feelings for me. I’m so embarrassed that I bought $ 55 dollars worth of drinks for a random person with their hand inside an expensive sock.

Well, I guess that’s just what I get for falling in love. If I’ve learned anything from this experience, it’s this: You love what you love — not what loves you back.

If you’ve ever been made a rebound, please leave your experience in the comments. As always, I promise to respond to each and every one of them. You’re not alone.

‘Gilmore Girls’ Michel Wasn’t Necessarily Gay, But Sookie Was Supposed To Be

The question of Michel’s sexuality on “Gilmore Girls” is perhaps best summed up by this fan page asking if he is “gay or just French.” The show’s creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino, spoke with The Huffington Post at ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas, Friday and gave us what may be the closest thing we’ll ever have to a definitive answer.

“We all know men who seem creative, who have wives and children,” she said, giggling. “So we never actually pursue it one way or the other and sort of let it lie.”

“We left it ambiguous and I think that was a choice,” said Yanic Truesdale, who played Michel. “I actually never asked Amy! … I’ve never asked, swear on my mother’s head.”

As Sherman-Palladino noted, early on in the series Michel makes a few comments insinuating he is straight. “We sort of went on record saying he was into women, because we put it in the script once,” she said, “but things can change or shift.”

Truesdale remembered that people speculated his character was in love with Lorelai, though his sexuality was never really part of Michel’s character. “They couldn’t figure it out and Amy liked that,” he said. “That’s why she made it like, ‘Oh, he loves Celine Dion.’ But he’s French. French guys are more feminine. French guys are more sophisticated… If you go to Paris, it’s like, ‘Oh my god, is he gay?'”

Sherman-Palladino did, however, explicitly think of other Stars Hollow residents as gay. “We had characters in the town that we thought of as gay,” she said, refusing to reveal who. “And we just thought of them as characters.”

When the show started in 2000, LGBT characters were few and far between (read: mostly limited to Showtime’s “Queer As Folk”). Sherman-Palladino actually intended Sookie (Melissa McCarthy) to be gay, but executives wouldn’t approve.

“Things were different back then,” Sherman-Palladino said. “The networks were very different in how permissive they would allow you to be. So, Sookie was originally supposed to be gay, but that was a non-starter at that time.”

Although she has said the show couldn’t exist today, if it had started a bit later, things might have been different.

“It changed so quickly,” she said. “By the time ‘Gilmore’ had been on a year or two, that shit was starting to drop right and left. But by that point, Sookie was in a relationship. It was really right at the cusp of when things were starting to turn. You know, today everyone would be gay. Lorelai would be gay!”

Here’s The Reason Charlie Sheen Wasn’t In The ‘Two And A Half Men’ Finale

The return of Charlie Sheen to “Two and a Half Men” has been speculated about for months. And the show’s series finale, “Of Course He’s Dead,” included tons of Sheen references. Everything seemed like it was building up to a comeback. Then, it didn’t happen.

Sheen did, in fact, tease an “anticipated” cameo on Twitter, but it turns out that was for his upcoming appearance on “The Goldbergs.”

So what happened? Following the end of the series finale and its absence of a certain rock star from Mars, a vanity card from executive producer Chuck Lorre ran on-air explaining the situation:

I know a lot of you might be disappointed that you didn’ t get to see Charlie Sheen in tonight’ s finale. For the record, he was offered a role. Our idea was to have him walk up to the front door in the last scene, ring the doorbell, then turn, look directly into the camera and go off on a maniacal rant about the dangers of drug abuse. He would then explain that these dangers only applied to average people. That he was far from average. He was a ninja warrior from Mars. He was invincible.

And then we would drop a piano on him.

We thought it was funny.

He didn’t.

Instead, he wanted us to write a heart warming scene that would set up his return to primetime TV in a new sitcom called The Harpers starring him and Jon Cryer.

We thought that was funny too.

Despite the lack of warlocks, the finale pretty much had everyone else you can think of: John Stamos, Arnold Schwarzenegger and even Angus T. Jones. And though there was no Sheen, that didn’t stop his former character, Charlie Harper, from coming back in animated form:

Lorre and Sheen, of course, had a historic fallout that gave us memorable phrases like “winning” and “tiger blood” and even led to Sheen’s character being killed off from the show (or so we thought). But as the vanity card shows, it appears the two sides just couldn’t agree on how a comeback would be handled.

As a final ode to the show and the Sheen saga, the last moments of the series showed a Sheen body double getting a piano dropped on top of him, supposedly killing the character for good. Soon after, Lorre appeared and said, “Winning,” right before a piano dropped on him, too.

Directing Brad Pitt In A Sex Scene ‘Wasn’t That Hard’ For Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie just finished directing her third movie (after “In the Land of Blood and Honey” and the forthcoming “Unbroken”). Titled “By the Sea,” it’s a romantic drama starring her and Brad Pitt as a couple making last-ditch efforts to save their marriage. (Life doesn’t always imitate art, right?)

The last time Jolie and Pitt shared the screen was 2005’s “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” where their romance first bloomed. Now, nine years into their own relationship, Jolie is tasked with directing her real-life hubby in a sex scene.

“I was the other person in the love scene, so it wasn’t that hard,” she told MTV News in a new interview with Josh Horowitz. “And he knows what I need. He’s always known.”

Well, well, well! “By the Sea” has wrapped, so it seems we can rest easy knowing the movie’s plot hasn’t spilled over to real life. Jolie knows people will compare the film to her actual relationship, but she’s prepared.

“Yes, we spent our honeymoon playing two people in a terrible marriage,” Jolie told The Hollywood Reporter. “I’m sure a therapist would have a field day analyzing the films I choose to do. But it’s been 10 years since Brad and I have worked together. It felt like it was time.”

Walmart: Tracy Morgan Partly To Blame In Truck Accident Because He Wasn’t Wearing Seatbelt

DAVID PORTER, Associated Press

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Actor-comedian Tracy Morgan and other people in a limousine struck from behind by a Wal-Mart truck on a highway in June are at least partly to blame for their injuries because they weren’t wearing seatbelts, the company said in a court filing Monday.

The filing was made in federal court in response to a lawsuit Morgan filed in July over the accident, which killed his friend James McNair, who was accompanying the former “Saturday Night Live” and “30 Rock” star back from a show in Delaware. Morgan spent several weeks in rehab with rib and leg injuries.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc., based in Bentonville, Arkansas, said in the filing that the passengers’ injuries were caused “in whole or in part” by their “failure to properly wear an appropriate available seatbelt restraint device,” which it said constitutes unreasonable conduct.

An attorney representing Morgan and the other plaintiffs called Wal-Mart’s contentions “surprising and appalling.”

“It’s disingenuous,” attorney Benedict Morelli said. “It’s not what they said they were going to do initially, which was take full responsibility. I’m very upset, not for myself but for the families I represent.”

The lawsuit seeks a jury trial and punitive and compensatory damages. It says the retail giant should have known that its truck driver had been awake for more than 24 hours before the crash and that his commute of 700 miles from his home in Georgia to work in Delaware was “unreasonable.” It also alleges the driver fell asleep at the wheel.

Wal-Mart spokeswoman Brooke Buchanan said in an email that the company “continues to stand willing to work with Mr. Morgan and the other plaintiffs to resolve this matter.”

Passengers Ardley Fuqua and Jeffrey Millea and Millea’s wife, Krista Millea, also are named as plaintiffs in the lawsuit. Krista Millea was not in the limousine when the crash occurred but is a plaintiff because she has a related loss-of-services lawsuit stemming from the crash.

Truck driver Kevin Roper, of Jonesboro, Georgia, pleaded not guilty to death by auto and assault by auto charges in state court. A criminal complaint also accuses him of not sleeping for more than 24 hours before the crash, a violation of New Jersey law.

A report by federal transportation safety investigators said Roper was driving 65 mph in the minute before he slammed into the limo van. The speed limit on that stretch of the New Jersey Turnpike is 55 mph and was lowered to 45 mph that night because of construction.

Roper had been on the job about 13 1/2 hours at the time of the crash, the report concluded. Federal rules permit truck drivers to work up to 14 hours a day, with a maximum of 11 hours behind the wheel.

Brooklyn Decker On Why She ‘Wasn’t A Good Model’

Brooklyn Decker’s happy to have made the transition from Sports Illustrated cover girl to “Friends With Better Lives” actress.

“Acting is much more gratifying than modeling,” she told HuffPost Live’s Marc Lamont Hill in an interview to promote the new CBS sitcom.

“But I wasn’t a good model,” she added.

“I know that’s so crazy and people want to hurt me when I say that. But really, when I was modeling, I never walked a runway,” she explained. “I got fired from jobs all the time. Sports Illustrated was really the only client that loved me.”

26-year-old Decker has been featured in spreads for Teen Vogue, Glamour and Cosmo. Still, she emphasized her that she’d be sticking to acting in the future.

“I was just never any good at it, so, for me, acting just feels right,” Decker concluded.
